Jason Southworth presents, the competitive junior year. Based off the total drama cartoon by Tom McGillis and Jennifer Pertsch. And the tugs television series by David Mitton.
We start off with Dwayne Junior narrating.
The school system, the way it is set up, is useful for helping young kids achieve their goals. And, a school sporting event, can bring out the best and worst of the students that are playing. This is the competitive junior year.
The tugs theme then plays.
Junior's POV
Considering the crazy shit that we went through the previous term, it was no surprise that me and Bertha were the most popular kids in the town of Mount Sword. It was incredibly difficult to go anywhere in public, without being swarmed by the paparazzi. The end of summer was approaching, and I had trouble concentrating on my studying, with fans constantly knocking on the door and asking for autographs. What I was studying for was important, this was the exam I had to pass to get into the eleventh grade at Bronzestone high. Toward the end of the summer, I received a text from Bertha, telling me that there was something I needed to see at her house.
Reader's POV
When Junior stepped inside of Bertha's house, he was surprised to see the bfffl's from Total Drama. Bertha then stepped into the room. "What up's Dwayne?" shed asked. "That's not my name, you are thinking of my dad" said Junior. "Actually, according to the birth certificate that your mother showed me, you and your dad have the same first name, you were named after him" said Bertha. "She's got a point, your real name is Dwayne the second" said Katie. "And if you ever name a kid after yourself, you'll probably stop going by the nickname Junior" said Sadie. "Okay, you aren't wrong, but i'm not having kids any time soon" said Junior. Bertha then whispered something in Junior's ear. "We are both 16 years old, that's the age of consent in Canada." Junior immediately froze up, but quickly regained his composure. "Let's just move on to why we are all here" he said.
They then went down to the basement, where they saw a bunch of blueprints laid out, along with a bunch of rusty scrap metal, several hot coals, buckets with molten steel, and molds. "Holy crap, you turned your basement into a steelworks" said Junior. "The goal that we are trying to achieve, is to build a seaplane from the ground up" said Bertha. " "Whoa, this is unexpected, and a little bit unrealistic" said Junior. "Of course, it's going to take a lot of time and money to get it done, but I am getting help from two people, who already have a small fortune from an ice cream business" said Bertha. "And exactly how much is that fortune?" asked Junior. "Oh my gosh, you're not going to believe this" said Katie. "Two hundred fifty three million dollars" said Sadie. "Taking into consideration that the sum could increase with ice cream sales, the amount of money I get from my Friday night job at 7-Eleven, counting inflation + taxes, and with how long it takes to build a plane, the project should be completed in about 25-30 years" said Bertha. "Jesus Christ, I can't believe what we are doing" said Junior. A little girl then walked into the room. "This is my cousin Sofia, she's Wilson's younger sister" said Bertha. "She's ultimately what inspired me to begin this project, it happened when I saw her painting of a seaplane from her art class."
Junior's POV
Bertha actually wanted to take things a step further in the plan that she had. The goal was to have this aircraft break the record, for the fastest speed ever set by an airplane. After hours of talking about things, it was time for me to go home for dinner. When we all stepped out of the basement, we could not believe what we were seeing on the living room couch.
Reader's POV
"OH MY GOD!" yelled Bertha. Sofia was sitting on the couch, and she just gave Seth a quick peck on the lips. "Calm down calm down, we're both the same age" said Seth. "Even so, aren't you two a little young to be in a romantic relationship?" asked Bertha. "Aren't you too young to be flirting the boundaries of war crimes?" asked Seth. "Touché" said Bertha. "Maybe the four of you could double date" said Katie. "Can you send us pictures if you do?" asked Sadie.
Junior's POV
Yep, both Seth and Sofia were nine years old. Even though they were in the single digits, you cannot say that either of them was too old or too young for each other. Although, Seth was about to be a junior in high school, while Sofia was only in the fifth grade. At some point, the four of us would be going on a double date. Afterwards, I would be participating in an activity, that I would enjoy way more than I thought before going into it. But that is a story for another day.
Authors note: I am aware that it does not take nearly three decades to build a vehicle. But take this into consideration, the leader of the operation is a 16 year old.
Seeing as how she inspired a seaplane to be built, you can obviously tell that Sofia is based off of the tugs character, Sally Seaplane. The tugs wiki implies that Sunshine has feelings for her, and seeing how Seth is bases on Sunshine, does this pairing really surprise you?
I'm going to clarify that despite the fact two 9 year olds obviously just kissed each other on the lips, they were not making out.
Thank you for reading and please have a great day.
