"Bella come on let's go!" Lydia called out from her room.

"I need your opinion," Bella said running across to her room. "Jacket? Yes or no?"

"The jacket's cute," Lydia nodded.

"Great," she nodded as she turned to leave.

"But you're hot," Lydia added. "Choose a hot jacket."

"Alright then," Bella laughed as she took off her jacket.

"Go for the grey coat you bought last week."

"On it!" Bella yelled back.

"I was thinking Jackson picks up Adam and they come over early for the party?"

"Yeah, whatever, I'm good with that," Bella nodded as they walked into school.

"You've got to break up with him," Lydia laughed.

"I do not!"

"You do anything possible to not hang out with him," Lydia argued.

"I do not!"

"You do too," Lydia laughed.

"Yeah well whatever, when we're alone we don't exactly do a lot of talking," Bella winked.

"Bella!" Lydia gasped.

"Since… since the birth of Bella Martin. Hey Bella!" a boy stuttered out as they walked past.

"Just ignore it," Lydia insisted as the sisters continued walking.

"Who was that?" Bella giggled.

"Just some nerd," Lydia rolled her eyes.

"New girl," Bella nodded to Lydia from their locker. "At 3 o clock," she said pointing out where the girl was.

"Good eye," Lydia smirked.

"Want to make a friend?"

"With style like that? Absolutely," Lydia agreed as they shut their lockers and walked over to the girl. "That jacket is absolutely killer," Lydia complemented as they reached her. "Where'd you get it?"

"My mom was a buyer for a boutique back in San Francisco," she explained.

"You must tons of nice clothes," Bella smiled.

"Yeah, it's pretty nice. I have lots of options," she nodded.

"And you are my new best friend," Lydia smiled.

"Welcome to the club," Bella grinned.

Jackson ran up behind Lydia and pulled her in for a hug, "hey Jackson," Lydia greeted.

"Hey," he smirked. "Bella," he smiled.

"Jackson," she smiled. "I'm Bella by the way," she said, introducing herself to the new girl. "And this is my sister Lydia and her boyfriend Jackson."

"I'm Allison."

"It's really nice to meet you, Allison," Bella smiled.

"So, this weekend, there's a party," Lydia suggested.

"A party?" Allison asked nervously.

"Yeah," Jackson nodded. "Friday night. You should come."

"Uh, I can't. It's family night this Friday. Thanks for asking," Allison declined.

"You sure?" Jackson asked. "I mean, everyone's going after the scrimmage."

"You mean like football?" Allison asked and the three of them snorted.

"Football's a joke in Beacon. The sport here's lacrosse. We've won the state championship for the past three years," he explained.

"Because of a certain team captain," Lydia cooed.

"I promise it's not as lame as it sounds," Bella smiled.

"Lacrosse doesn't sound lame," Jackson defended.

"Yes it does Jackson," she laughed. "You have to see it to believe me," Bella smiled. "It can actually be pretty fun to watch."

"Well, we have practise in a few minutes. That is if you don't have anywhere else to be," Jackson said, inviting her.

"Well, I was going to…" Allison went to decline when Lydia cut her off.

"Perfect. You're coming," she said taking Allison's hand and dragging her away before she could protest.

After a minute Lydia let go of Allison's hand and Allison fell back to walk next to Bella nervously. "Trust me. Stick with us and you're not going to have any trouble making friends here."

"Right," Allison nodded.

"It must be nerve-wracking. Starting at a new school and not knowing anyone."

"Well I've done it a few times, my family and I never stay in one place too long," Allison explained.

"Come to the party on Friday. I know you can get out of family night. Lydia and Jackson will probably be stuck together like superglue but you can hang out with me, it won't be awkward. It'll be fun. You'll get to know a few people," Bella pushed.

"You sure it won't be awkward?"

"Of course not," Lydia said bouncing back to them after leaving Jackson. "Trust me."

"Ok, ok I'll come," Allison agreed.

"Amazing!" Lydia smiled. "Bella and I need to stop off at our lockers and get our coats and then we're good to go!"

Bella, Lydia and Allison made their way to the stands by the lacrosse field and watched as the boys set up for practice.

"Who is that?" Allison asked pointing out the boy standing in the goals.

"Him?" Lydia asked. "I'm not sure who he is. Why?"

"He's in my English class."

"His name's Scott McCall," Bella said. "He never makes the team."

"Oh," Allison said.

They turned back over to watch the field as a ball was thrown and smashed right into Scott's helmet. "That's why he never makes the team," Bella snorted.

"Hey, way to catch it with your face McCall!" Adam called out and Bella smirked.

"The guy who just shot the ball, that's Adam. He's my boyfriend," Bella said to Allison.

"That looks like it would have hurt!"

"They have helmets, it's fine," Bella shrugged. "I've seen worse hits."

The next kid lined up a shot at the goal and threw it and Scott managed to catch it. Everyone in the stands and on the field was silent. He'd never done anything like that before. He then went on to catch the next 5 shots in a row.

"He seems like he's pretty good," Allison smiled.

"Yeah, very good," Lydia admitted.

Jackson then barged his way to the front of the line. "Here comes trouble," Bella smirked.

"Jackson never misses," Lydia smiled.

Jackson sprinted forward and took his shot and Scott snatched it out of the air. "Woah," Bella gasped.

Lydia jumped out of her seat and started cheering as everyone clapped loudly. "Whoo!" Lydia cheered.

"Ok, let's not demoralise him completely," Bella said as she tugged Lydia back into her seat as she noticed Jackson glaring over at Lydia.

"How was your first day back?" Natalie asked.

"Pretty good," Lydia answered their mom as they ate dinner.

"Anything interesting happen?" Natalie pressed them but Lydia just shook her head.

"Scott McCall? Remember him?" Bella asked and their mom nodded. "Well, he's got good at lacrosse over summer. We made a new friend called Allison, she's coming to the party on Friday."

"Are you two staying at your dad's on the weekend?" Natalie asked.

"Nope," Lydia popped.

"Yeah it's probably easier to just stay here during the school term," Bella added.

"Have you spoken to your father about it? I think he was looking forward to having you two."

"Are you sure?" Bella snorted. "It's not like you two actually talk."

"He asked where we wanted to live," Lydia snapped. "We said here. End of story. We have homework mom," Lydia said ending the conversation.

"I can't believe Allison said yes to coming to the party with McCall," Jackson scoffed from Lydia's bed while the two sisters picked out outfits.

"She so needs our guidance," Lydia sighed as she held up an outfit for Bella.

"Nope," Bella shook her head and Lydia turned back to the wardrobe. "So what was Adam's excuse for coming late again?"

"Homework," Jackson answered.

"It's the first week back," Bella hissed. "What homework?"

"Are you finally going to break up with him?" Lydia asked.

"I think so."

"You can date anyone you want Bells, don't hang onto a loser like that. Date someone who actually wants to spend time with you," Jackson said giving her a small smile.

"You're right," Bella agreed.

"I told you that months ago!" Lydia frowned. "Why do you always listen to Jackson and not me?"

"He's less preachy," Bella shrugged.

"I am not preachy!" Lydia laughed, shoving her sister's shoulder.

"Would you two just pick an outfit please," Jackson groaned.

"There you are!" Bella yelled as she pulled open the door to let Adam in.

"Sorry," Adam laughed. "I got lost."

"You been here a thousand times!" she snapped.

"Sorry babe," he slurred.

"You're drunk."

"Nah."

"Yeah, you are. And now you're single, we're done," Bella snapped as she stormed off.

"Wait… what…" he said as he stumbled in the front door.

"Woah, woah hey buddy!" a voice called out and Bells turned to look around. "You should probably give her some space."

"Who are you?" Adam snapped.

"Um, hey I'm Stiles. We have English together," the boy said awkwardly holding his hand out for Adam to shake.

"Why don't you back off Stiles?" Adam sneered.

"Stiles," Bella called out.

"You… you know my name!" he gasped.

"Yeah, we have chemistry and economics together. Duh," she frowned.

"Wow, you know my name. Bella Martin knows my name," he laughed.

"Stiles! Come in," Bella said frowning at the strange kid.

"Yes, yes!" he agreed and hurried to get in the house, tripping on Adam's foot as he came through the doorway and landing face-first on the floor.

"Oh my god," Bella rolled her eyes before walking away.

"Wait. I'm coming, I'm coming," Stiles called as he tried to hurry after her.

"Yo Bells," Danny smiled as he threw his arm around her shoulder. "Drink?"

"Please," Bella agreed, taking the drink from his hand.

"So I'm guessing you broke up with Adam?"

"How'd you know?" Bella asked.

"I can see him sulking in the corner," Danny said, pointing out Adam sitting on the couch with his head in his hand.

"I'm not sure if he's sulking or just drunk," she scowled.

"I'm here, I'm here, I'm here," Stiles panted as he ran in front of them.

"You alright man?" Danny asked with a smile.

"Yeah, yeah."

"I'm going to go find Lydia," Bella said cutting Stiles off and walking away to find her sister.
