In the big city of Sanfransokyo, there's currently a crime downtown being committed by a man wearing a full suit with a yellow and black design and wearing two mechanically modified gauntlets that can project a concentrated blast of air that has been vibrated at an intense frequency.
This man is Herman Schultz, but he has been going by the codename of Shocker.
The power he possesses within those gauntlets could kill anyone and destroy anything they hit, either by the gauntlets themselves, or the shockwaves they generate.
All except one person.
The hero of Sanfransokyo.
Spider-Man.
The Classic Suit follows a blue and red color scheme. The body, head, outer arms, upper hip, and knee-high boots are red while the inner arms, upper legs, and outer torso are matt blue. The colors are in a bright tone, especially among red coloring. The eye lenses are black on the outline and white in the middle. The spider insignia is small, fist-sized, and centered just above the chest. The web-shooters are located in the wrists. The boots are also slightly below the knee, with black outlining covering them and the feet. The black outlining in particular resembles a spider's web, especially on the mask area and the torso. These outlines split the suit into rectangle segments, which are especially visible on the torso area, neck, and shoulders.
The hero made his way into the bank as Shocker leaves the bank safe with two big bags in his hands. Dropping down from the ceiling, Spider-Man, in his bright red and blue and spandex suit, landed on his knees and hands as if it was second nature.
Which it actually was.
"Herman! It's been a long time no see." Peter Parker greets him with a wave. "You know, I'm not a lawyer, but I'm pretty sure this is a parole violation." He then webs Shocker's hands and gets pulled across the room and kicks Shocker into the vault, grabbing onto his back and trying to web him up.
But Shocker gets his hand free and uses it to blast the floor and sends the two of them crashing into the ceiling. Peter lets go and drop to the ground as Shocker lands safely and begin to leave the safe. As Peter gets back up, he webs the safe and closes the door so he can't escape and goes in-between Shocker and the safe.
"Oops, looks like we're stuck in here for a while. Wanna play 20 Questions?" Peter asks him when Herman goes to punch him as Peter easily dodges it with a duck and held his fist out and thumb raised. "No? How about we thumb wrestle?"
Shocker goes to punch him again and once again, Peter dodges it as if it were nothing.
"Okay. Face punch it is." Peter declares as he jumps, punching Herman in the face but only ends up injuring himself by his newly designed helmet on his head as Shocker charges up a blast and hits Peter, sending him flying into the door.
The door gets smashed by Peter as he goes flying across the bank and Peter webs up to the giant chandelier on the ceiling as he tries to catch his breath.
"Whoa! Your gauntlets are all digital now, aren't they?" Peter asks as Shocker walks out of the vault in anger.
"Have it your way. You wanna fight? Let's fight!" Shocker tells Peter, ready to finish the hero who stopped him multiple times.
He sends several blasts at Peter as he just swings around the empty bank and dodges all of them.
"Man, I can't wait to put you behind bars so we can talk science," Peter tells Shocker, wanting to learn who is constantly upgrading his technology.
Shocker puts his gauntlets close together which powered a bigger blast of energy Peter had to dodge quickly to avoid becoming paste.
"Ah, remember our first fight, Herman? Me so young and stupid, you...well, just stupid." Peter comments as he dodges the blasts.
He also takes notice of Shocker's new vibrating force field keeping him safe, meaning he needs to drain the energy from the gauntlets, or at least wait for them to need to cool down. That could take a while.
But maybe if he takes enough damage, or hits him with something big enough, the shield could phase out and cause the gauntlets to redirect the power into the gauntlets.
"You talk too much!" Shocker tells him.
"Well, that's a matter of opinion," Peter says as Shocker blasts at him, which Peter planned on as he blasts a part of the ceiling, which caused it to collapse a little, giving Peter exactly what he needed. "I mean, is there really a standard metric to how much someone should talk? And who determines the ideal ratio to talking versus not talking? And then there's the question of how to measure it? Words per minute? Syllable per second?"
Peter then webs a giant piece of the rubble and then tosses it towards Shocker who immediately sent a blast at the rubble.
But just then, the entire room froze with the hero and villain in mid-punch.
"You're probably wondering what's going on. And who is that good-looking guy in the blue and red costume? And probably wondering why he's fighting a guy dressed like a crossword puzzle with metal fists. Well...let's start at the beginning, shall we?"
A sixteen-year-old Peter Parker was standing in a laboratory with a girl almost identical to him as they watched a presentation of a radioactive experiment.
"My name is Peter Parker. The girl next to me is my twin sister, Teresa Parker."
A spider then went through the experiment before crawling up Peter's arm and biting him, causing him to cry out in pain.
"I was bit by a radioactive spider. And for the past three years, I've been the one and only...Spider-Man!"
Peter was now suiting up and placing on a blue and red suit with a spider emblem on both ends.
"You might just know the rest."
Peter was looking up to his Uncle Ben as he gave him his words of wisdom. "With great power...comes great responsibility..."
"And the three of us have been living with our Aunt May ever since our parents died in a plane crash. Me and Teresa were five at the time, and Peni was only about five months..."
The family was standing together, waiting for a family photo to the taken while Peter was ruffling up his twin sister's hair, and she just laughed before elbowing her brother as Peter kneeled down and picked up the younger sibling who bursts out laughing as did May.
"Oh, did I forget to mention her? Yeah, that's our younger sister, Peni Parker, and the elder woman is our Aunt May. May's been raising us on her own ever since what happened to Uncle Ben. We're a bit of a handful, but she never saw the three of us as a challenge she wasn't up to. Together, we're the Parker's. An unstoppable family who doesn't take anything lying down."
Back to the present day, Peter was still frozen in midair with a piece of rubble attached to his web towards Shocker who also had a blast heading in his direction.
"You good? You all caught up? Perfect! Don't worry, I'll go into more depth on my backstory later. But...I'm a little preoccupied at the moment."
Time finally started back up as the rubble was hit by Shocker's shockwave and allowed Peter an opening to go in and give him a kick in the shoulder, sending him flying into the bank wall.
"So, who exactly helped you escape this time?" Peter asked as he strolled over towards Shocker. "Kingpin's still locked up, so it couldn't have been him."
"Wouldn't you like to know?!" Shocker stated as he got free and went to shoot another blast.
"Yeah, that's kinda why I asked," Peter said as he dropped down on a desk and sat on it. "So, are ya gonna tell me?"
"Never!" Shocker said as he charged up another blast and shot Peter, who dodged it, but then used his rubble the blast caused and sent it flying back at Herman. He then blasted the rubble, just for Peter to be able to come in and kick him in the face.
Both of them were sent tumbling down the bank, but just for Peter to shoot a web and yank off of Herman before he could blast him.
"Why are you doing this again, Herman? You know the cops are watching your every move." Peter stated as he hung from the chandelier again, staying away from the gauntlet-powered man.
"Because if I don't, he'll kill me!" Herman stated as he sent another blast of energy at Peter and he swung away to dodge it, but the blast smacked the pedestal holding up a portion of the roof.
Peter then began to get an idea of how to stop him when it suddenly dawned on him when he heard what he said. "Wait, did you say he? Who's he?"
"If I tell you, he'll still kill me!" Herman promised as he went to hit Peter when he shot a web at his gauntlet and yanked him off the ground to leap in and kicked his helmet.
"If you come clean, we can help you," Peter promises him.
"You wanna help me?" Herman asked as he got back on his knees just when Peter shot two webs to slingshot himself. "Let me leave with the money."
"Sorry, not gonna happen," Peter said as he shot himself at the villain, and this time when he tackled him, he got on his back then webbed his gauntlet and crossed them around his back to stop him from using his gauntlets. "You know, you're lucky that you actually found cash here. People don't even use banks anymore. If you really wanna rob people..." He then shot a strand on the ceiling and attached it to his webbed feet, causing him to be yanked upside down. "Try day trading. It's all the rage."
But the webbing didn't seem to be enough as he shocked himself out of the webbing holding his gauntlets to then shoot the one holding him up and then landed, shooting out a shockwave as he landed and sent Peter flying and he grabbed onto the wall.
"Oh, come on, Herman!" Peter cried in exhaustion, having had enough of this guy. "If you tell me who you're working for, I can help you cut a deal." He then leaped out of the way before he could get blasted by the shockwave.
"If I talk, I'm dead! He made that very clear!" Herman said as he charged up more energy and then shot him again, only so that Peter could get a closer hit, and decided to have Herman shoot him on the barricades.
"You're starting to freak me out, Herman," Peter commented. "It's not like you to be afraid of people."
"Not even sure these guys are people. Could be anything under those masks." Herman said to him and blasted Peter, just for him to dodge it and the pedestal was shattered, as the ceiling begins to come down.
Peter then heard what he said and was shocked. "Wait, what mask? And what do they want the money for?"
"Don't know. Don't care." Herman said as Peter leaped in to punch him, and the second he was close enough, he then slid underneath him and kicked his knee. "As soon I finish this job, I'm gone!"
Peter then landed on the last pedestal and waited for Herman to get back on his feet. "Give up now and we can protect you."
"No way. You ain't seen what I've seen!" Herman said and then shot at Peter, allowing the entire ceiling to come down and crushed Herman, but his suit was able to keep him alive and safe from being crushed.
"Sorry, Herman. You brought this on yourself. Literally." Peter stated when he noticed the time. "Shoot. I gotta get to school."
Peter then dusted off the dirt and raced off to make his way out of the destroyed bank.
On his way out, he landed on the nearest police car and saw the only few cops who trusted him, Yuriko Watanabe. "Thanks for your help, Spider-Man. Did you learn anything about his motive?"
"I tried, but he's not very talkative. Plus, I think that he hates me." Peter said with a shrug.
"You have that effect on a lot of people," Yuri commented with an uninterested look.
"But you love me, right, Yuri?" Peter asked her questionably.
"I tolerate you," Yuri replied.
"Wow. That might be the nicest thing you've ever said to me." Peter commented and Yuri made her way into the bank.
"And should I ask how much of a mess is waiting for me?" Yuri asked.
"You don't wanna know," Peter stated before swinging off to get to school on time.
Normal people would wake up with a cup of coffee, some take a run or a walk. Yeah, Peter isn't that type of normal.
Swinging through the city of San Fransokyo, Peter loved the feeling of that sweet fresh morning air to wake him up. Feeling the breeze, the wind, just about everything about it.
Making it over to his school, the San Fransokyo Institute of Technology, Peter swung over and landed on the roof before grabbing his backup bag where he kept fresh clean clothes to change out of his suit.
Looking down at his suit, he saw there were a few cuts and bruises around the suit due to the blasts and damage. "Man, I gotta stitch this thing up later." He quickly changed and used his web-shooters to shoot the bag carrying the suit inside an air vent before closing it and dropping down to the entrance, making sure that nobody was around when he dropped and made his way inside.
Peter walked up to the labs and just when he did, he sensed something coming and dodged his friend speeding past on a super-fast bike.
"Heads up!" She cried as she stopped and parked the bike before removing the helmet and showing herself. She is a voluptuous and attractive tomboy and short in stature, with fair skin, pink lips, large hips, short, somewhat scruffy black hair with violet streaks, brown eyes, and lavender eye shadow.
In terms of attire, she is most notably found wearing a dark gray leather jacket, fashionably ripped dark gray leggings with violet patches, underneath a pair of black shorts with red highlights, a white shirt, black trainers with blue on them, and bare-knuckle gloves.
"That's one of my friends, Ethel Tomago, but we just call her GoGo."
"Not fast enough." GoGo sighed as she took the electromagnetic wheel off and tossed it in a trash canister that was filled with them.
"You'll get it there," Peter said as he strolled past her.
"Yeah, we're sorta the group of nerds that never had any friends besides each other."
Peter smiled and walked through the labs where his other friends were spread through the lab.
There was a more muscular black man with a large, burly body, creating a humorous juxtaposition with his ultimately soft nature. He is tall, very muscular, and well-kept, with his most notable feature being his smooth dreadlocks.
He is also bearded, with brown eyes, and a dark complexion, and appears to be most fond of the colors green and yellow when it comes to clothing attire. Wasabi can also be seen wearing all black, jikatabi shoes.
"That's Damon Wayans, or Wasabi. Trust me, it'd make sense if you were there. Let's say it involved a Wizard, a ruthless warrior from an alternate timeline, and a man who used sonic as a weapon making him spill a whole lot of wasabis."
Peter then looked and saw his sister Teresa and her best friend since high school, which feels like a lifetime ago, Génesis Rodríguez. She has slightly tanned skin, bright green eyes, and long honey-blonde hair that reaches her lower back. She is thin and distinctly tall, appearing to be so even without her trademark platform heels. She wears pink lipstick and large magenta-rimmed glasses that also function as impromptu safety goggles.
"You already know my sister, but that's her best friend, Honey Lemon." He then walked and almost ran into the school's mascot that actually looks sorta like a dragon from the How to Train Your Dragon series.
Honestly, you can't unsee it when you notice it.
"That's Fred. We don't really have a nickname for him, considering it's him who makes up all the nicknames. Honestly, it's only me, my sister, and Fred who don't really have a nickname. Not saying that is a bad thing, it's honestly a good thing. Oh, and Tadashi."
Fred is a tall, shaggy, and scrawny young man, often seen wearing baggy clothing and is rather unkempt, and has a large nose. His traditional outfit consists of a brink pink T-shirt with a Japanese Kaiju monster imprint and white, long-sleeved undershirt, dark green, OD cargo shorts, and white (and rather filthy) sneakers with dark green laces.
Peter then saw Tadashi Hamada himself exiting his labs, looking like he had just taken a beating from something. And Peter had an idea of what it could have been that caused it.
"That is Tadashi Hamada. We've been friends since we were in high school, due to the fact that our aunts happened to know each other."
"Look at that, on time for once." Tadashi mocked Peter for his appearance on time.
"Yeah, yeah, I fixed my alarm clock and did not rely on sleep to wake me." Peter joked as he walked over and walked down the labs with Tadashi. "I got held up...in...traffic."
"Really? Didn't know there were any traffic jams." Tadashi commented.
"Yeah, it was quite the...Shocker." Peter said with a sigh. "So, how did your brother do in high school?"
Tadashi sighed and rubbed his head in annoyance. "He's doing well, but still getting into those bot fights of his."
"Ugh, bot-fights. Feels like a poor use of robot technology." Peter sighed in the same amount of annoyance.
"Hey, I remember when you used to be into stuff like that." Tadashi reminded Peter who immediately looked down at the reminder, changing Tadashi's tone quickly. "Oh, I'm sorry, I know it's a tough subject."
"No, no, it's okay," Peter promised his friend. "I gotta get to Dr. Otto's labs anyways." He then patted Tadashi and walked off. "Have fun with your Robo-nurse."
"Ha-ha," Tadashi replied sarcastically and rubbed the injured part of his face.
"Yeah, let's just say that...I don't do fights. Robot or human alike. The reason? I sense you might know the reason." Peter whispered in his mind.
"And the winner is Spider-Boy!"
Bell ding!
"Stop that guy!"
"You let him go, what's the matter with you?"
"I miss the part where that's my problem."
"Uncle Ben?"
"Peter..."
"That day is why whatever life holds in store for me, I will never forget these words: 'With great power comes great responsibility.' This is my gift, my curse. Who am I? I guess I forgot to say, didn't I? I'm Spider-Man."
