Hi, I'm back with another Blanc x C-Sha fanfic! Oh, and I have Neptune here with me.

Neptune: Hiya folks!

You'll be seeing her a lot in my author notes. Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy the story! It takes place three years after VII, but before the events of Sisters vs. Sisters.

A Feeling For Her

Chapter 1

Dogoo Hunting

Lowee - March 1, G.C. 2018

Blanc had no idea what was wrong with her.

On a physical level, she was completely fine. Mentally, however, it was harder to explain.

It was just a normal day, walking through the woods with C-Sha. They were doing a very basic Quest, hunting Dogoos for materials per the request of a civilian. It was such a mundane Quest that Blanc normally wouldn't even do something so low-tier, but C-Sha wanted to go, so she relented.

And therein lies the problem.

She had known C-Sha for close to three years. They have been through so much together, from the situation with Azna=leb to defeating Kurome.

On paper, they were supposed to be friends, yet whenever she was around C-Sha, she felt…

She felt.

It was like she had butterflies flying about in her stomach, and she had no idea where those feelings were even coming from.

'Am I getting sick? No, that can't be it.' Blanc thought, staring down at the ground.

"Thanks again for coming on this quest with me, Blanny."

"Hm?" Blanc looked up to see a happy smile on C-Sha's face.

Has her smile always been that pretty? Blanc thought, blushing. Her fascination faded after realizing she was just staring at her blue-clad partner and not saying anything.

"O-Of course! I'm always willing to hang out with my partner!" She sputtered.

Correction: Blanc tries to spend time with C-Sha when she isn't busy with her CPU duties. After all, C-Sha was not only her partner but also a close friend.

"So, how have you been?" Blanc asked as she regained some of her composure.

"I've been doing fine," C-Sha answered, twirling her hair with an index finger. "I saw a movie with the other Gold Third members a couple of days ago."

"What kind of movie?"

"A boring horror movie. It wasn't even scary! Although B-Sha would say otherwise," chuckled C-Sha. "How about you?"

"I'm doing good," Blanc responded. "I just started writing my romance novel. It's about two princesses who fall in love despite coming from two feuding families."

"That's great, Blanny!" beamed C-Sha. "I know you have an editor, but I can always proofread your stories if you want me to."

Blanc's cheeks turned pink. She knew C-Sha wasn't a bookworm or a writer, but hearing her say that meant a lot to her. "T-Thanks, C-Sha."

"No problem!" Suddenly, the taller brunette stopped in her tracks. "Well, here we are. Hex Grasslands."

Blanc's eyes widened when she saw there were dogoos as far as the eye could see. They were hopping around the area, getting their blue slime everywhere. To Blanc's surprise, some have managed to climb the trees.

"Wow. Jun wasn't kidding when he said this place was infested with dogoos." C-Sha looked at Blanc. "Are you ready, Blanny?"

"Yeah," A bright light flashed, and in Blanc's place was the blue-haired White Heart. She summoned her giant ax, clutching it in her hand while staring at the bouncing dogoos with a steady gaze. "Let's do it!"

C-Sha grinned, her eyes turning golden as she transformed into her Gold Form. "You take the ones on the right side of the plain, and I'll take the ones on the left."

"Got it." White Heart nodded curtly before materializing her wing processors and flying to the right side of the plain.

Raising her ax high in the air, she slashed the first dogoo she saw, eradicating the tiny creature from existence. The dogoos around the goddess began to burst into blue pixels and disappear as White Heart swung her weapon at them with brutal force. It wasn't long before some dogoos on the trees jumped down to defend their territory from the attacking goddess.

Goddamn it! Why are there so many of them?! White Heart thought, grunting. She spun around to slice a dogoo that was behind her.

Although dogoos were easy to kill, White Heart still found them annoying to fight because they usually come in packs, just like wolves. However, she has never seen a dogoo pack this big before. Most dogoo packs don't get so large that their territory stretches across an entire grassland!

White Heart yelled, striking down another dogoo that attempted to hit her. Then, before she could kill another one, the goddess watched C-Sha use her C-Buster to obliterate the dogoos around her.

"Whoa…" White Heart marveled. Now, she knew C-Sha could handle herself well in a fight, but seeing her in action for some reason made her heart thump.

On the battlefield, C-Sha was a strong yet graceful fighter. Her experience as a hunter showed through as she was taking out multiple dogoos by herself like it was nothing. That was one of the many things White Heart liked about C-Sha. She always kept going, even when the going got tough.

Splat!

White Heart stood there, blinking while holding her large ax. She glanced at her right arm and saw blue goo melting her sleeve and gauntlet. The surprised look on her face quickly turned into an ominous glare. Her face darkened, and her eyes hid beneath her hair while one of her eyes was glowing red.

"YOU SLIMY BASTARDS!"

In a fit of rage, White Heart began to swing her ax wildly, smashing every single dogoo in sight, including the one that was bold enough to slime her.

"I got to pull myself together!" White Heart chided herself while showing no mercy to her enemies. "Getting distracted during battle, that's not like me at all!"

White Heart swung her ax to the side, sending a dogoo flying across the field in the same direction. She slams her weapon on the ground, creating a glowing yellow impact on the surface. Upon impact, a giant boulder emerges from the ground, catapulting a few dogoos up in the air.

She spins around and hurls her ax at those tiny gelatin creatures, killing them with one hit. Then, she dashes in to grab her weapon before soaring into the sky.

"Now for the final hit!" White Heart flew down to slam her ax on the ground again. A massive explosion happens upon the second impact, wiping out the remaining dogoos off the face of the earth. As the smoke cleared around the area, White Heart was huffing and puffing while gripping her ax.

"Nice job, Blanny!" C-Sha cheered.

White Heart's face softened when she turned around and saw her partner walking toward her. "T-Thanks."

The goddess took another look at her arm and scowled. "Goddamn it!"

"You got slimed too, huh?" C-Sha asked.

"Yeah," White Heart answered. She looked up and saw her partner flinging blue slime off. "Are you okay?"

C-Sha looked at the goddess and smiled. "Yeah. It's just dogoo slime. I'll be fine."

That's good. White Heart thought, sighing out loud. "Is that all of them?"

"Looks like it," C-Sha answered, gazing at the field that is cleared of dogoos. "We should head—"

Before the taller brunette could finish her sentence, another pack of dogoos emerged from the ground without warning.

"What the hell?!" White Heart exclaimed.

"Great, more dogoos…" C-Sha grumbled, sighing.

White Heart looked at her partner with raised eyebrows. "Why so disappointed? I thought you like fighting monsters?"

"I do, but fighting dogoos can be so boring," C-Sha explained. "I want a challenge."

As if the universe answered C-Sha's request, a giant dogoo suddenly emerged from the ground. However, unlike the other dogoos, it was red and had a frowny face!

"Oh, you got to be fucking kidding me!" White Heart yelled. Fighting more dogoos and a giant pissed-off red dogoo was the last thing she wanted to do right now! Besides, she had already battled a shitload of these slimy bastards!

"Hahaha! Woo! This is freakin' sweet!" C-Sha exulted, pumping her fist in the air in delight.

White Heart just stood there, staring and blinking at her. "Have you lost it?!"

"This is what I live for, Blanny!" C-Sha grinned. "I'm absolutely crazy about it! Now, let's show these dogoos what the Golden Pair is made of!"

"I thought I told you to stop using that stupid ass name!" White Heart bleated.

It took several hours, but Blanc and C-Sha eventually managed to clear all the dogoos, big and small, from the field. They could finally return home, which was great news for Blanc because she was downright exhausted from dogoo hunting. She was practically dragging her feet as she walked next to C-Sha.

She didn't want to hunt any more monsters or take on more quests. She didn't even feel like writing her story today! All she wanted to do was go home, plop down on her bed, and sleep for the rest of the night. Her body desperately needed it since her limbs felt so heavy.

"Man, I worked my butt off!" C-Sha chirped, stretching her arms. "We sure show those dogoos what the Golden Pair was made of!"

"Yeah…" Blanc mumbled, yawning. She would usually scold C-Sha for referring to their partnership as the "Golden Pair." However, she was too tired to say anything, so she let it slide this time.

"Wow. You look exhausted," C-Sha commented.

"No shit, Sherlock," Blanc yawned, rubbing her eye. "Fighting those slimy bastards zapped all my energy out…."

"Do you want me to carry you home?" C-Sha asked.

"What?!" Blanc stared at her, surprised by the suddenness of the question.

"I asked if I could—"

"I know what you said!" Blanc's face was as red as a tomato as her brain was still trying to process what C-Sha had just asked her.

"I wouldn't carry you all the way home," C-Sha explained. "Just until we're out of the forest. After that, you have to walk the rest of the way."

"..." Blanc didn't say anything except look at the taller brunette with an incredulous stare.

To say she was shocked to hear C-Sha's offer was an understatement. More like she was utterly flabbergasted. She was already about to decline her offer, as she was perfectly capable of walking out of the forest and straight to the Basilicom.

At the same time, Blanc was so dog-tired that she could drop any moment. She didn't even have enough energy to transform and fly her way home. Besides, as embarrassing as it was, Blanc didn't mind being carried by C-Sha for a little while.

Having made her decision, Blanc looked at C-Sha with flushed cheeks. "Okay… you can carry me for a little bit."

"You sure?" C-Sha asked with raised eyebrows.

Blanc saw the surprised look on her partner's face and nodded to assure her. "I'm sure."

With that said, C-Sha carried Blanc in her arms, one arm under her legs while the other supported her back.

"B-Bridal carry?!" Blanc sputtered, caught off guard.

"Well… how else am I supposed to carry you?"

"..." Blanc looked the other way, blushing and not saying anything.

"Are you comfortable?" C-Sha questioned.

"Y-Yeah…" Blanc responded with a nod, smiling nervously as she tried not to stare at C-Sha, who began walking after she said that.

Now, Blanc was hardly the nervous type. On the contrary, she is often calm and collected… until someone, namely a certain Leanboxian goddess, pisses her off. However, the fact that Blanc was being bridal carried by C-Sha made her heart pound like a train on the tracks.

The shorter brunette tried to think of something to say to make the situation feel less awkward for her, but she was tongue-tied at the moment. All she could do was fiddle with her hands as her four brain cells (Blancs?) were raging inside her mind.

Don't be an idiot. Say something! Blanc B commanded.

What am I supposed to say in a situation like this?! Blanc A wondered, understandably nervous.

Who cares! Just say something, damn it! shot Blanc D.

While her last two brain cells were figuring out what to say, Blanc noticed that C-Sha was wearing a pair of light blue earrings. Putting her mental dilemma aside, she furrowed her eyebrows and stared at the earrings. She was surprised she didn't see them until now.

"I didn't know you wore earrings," Blanc spoke while looking at them with curious blue eyes. "Are they new?"

"Kind of," C-Sha answered, nodding her head and smiling. "My sister gave them to me as a gift last year."

I didn't know she had a sister. Blanc thought. "They look cute on you."

"O-Oh…" C-Sha stuttered, her cheeks turning bright pink from the compliment. "T-Thank you, Blanny…."

That's weird. Blanc thought, blinking at C-Sha. She had never seen the taller brunette blush like that before, as she wasn't the kind of person who gets easily flustered.

"A-Anyway, I had a lot of fun today," C-Sha said. "I miss going on quests with you."

"Same here," Blanc nodded. "I'm sorry I haven't been able to hang out with you lately."

"You have nothing to apologize for," C-Sha spoke softly. "I know your CPU duties are more important."

"They are…" Blanc paused for a brief moment before continuing. "But you're just as important."

"Blanny, you're gonna make me blush again!" C-Sha admitted with a sheepish smile.

"Can we do this again tomorrow?" Blanc inquired. "That's if you're not busy."

"Sure!" C-Sha beamed.

Blanc and C-Sha eventually made it out of the Hex Grasslands and headed straight to the Lowee Basilicom. As part of their agreement, Blanc had to walk the rest of the way home once they were out of the grasslands. Luckily, she didn't feel so exhausted because she regained some of her strength.

Now, Blanc could transform into her CPU form and fly her way back home. However, she didn't want to do that. Instead, she was going to walk home with C-Sha while talking to her. Besides, it's been a while since they saw each other. They had a lot of catching up to do.

"Wow. This ice cream tastes delicious!" Blanc said with raised eyebrows, dipping her spoon in her ice cream cup to take another bite.

"I knew you would like it!" C-Sha chirped.

"What flavor is it, again?" Blanc inquired.

"Rocky road," C-Sha answered.

"Rocky road…" Blanc echoed before taking a third bite.

"I forgot to ask you this earlier," C-Sha remembered. "How are Rom and Ram?"

"They're doing well," Blanc answered. "They still get into mischief every now and then."

"Oh, I'm sure that's normal for their age," C-Sha commented before dipping her spoon in her ice cream cup to take a bite.

"It is," Blanc acknowledged. Even though the twins can be a handful, she still loved her sisters. "They also told me to tell you they said hello."

"How sweet of them," C-Sha giggled.

It wasn't long before they made it to the Lowee Basilicom. Blanc could see her two sisters running outside the building to meet her.

"Hi, sis. Hi, C-Sha," Rom greeted with a calm smile.

"Hi, Rom," C-Sha said, waving.

"Oooh! You two got ice cream?!" Ram squealed. "Did you give us some?!"

"Of course," Blanc smiled as she handed Rom and Ram their cups of ice cream.

"Yes!" Ram exulted, taking her cup, which had chocolate ice cream in it.

Blanc looked at C-Sha. "So… about that quest tomorrow?"

"Ah, right," C-Sha remembered. "There is this quest that involves hunting horsebirds. They've been infesting this village in the woods."

"Horsebirds, huh?" Blanc repeated. "That shouldn't be too bad. What time should I meet you?"

"Does 4:30 work for you?" C-Sha questioned, twirling her hair with an index finger.

"Sure," Blanc nodded.

"Great! See you then," C-Sha said, waving. "Bye, Blanny."

"Bye…" Blanc waved back, blushing as she watched C-Sha walk away.

The three goddesses enter the Basilicom. After Blanc closed the door behind her, she saw Rom and Ram with wide grins, as if they knew something that she didn't. Why on Gamindustri were they staring at her like that?

"What?" Blanc said, narrowing her eyes at the twins.

"You love C-Sha!" Rom and Ram sang in unison, still grinning at her.

"WHAT!" Blanc exclaimed.

Out of all the craziest things Rom and Ram have said, this one topped the list.

"Don't deny it! We saw the way you were looking at her!" Ram smirked.

"And you were blushing," Rom added.

"No, no, no," Blanc asserted. "I just see C-Sha as a friend. Nothing more!"

As Blanc went to the kitchen to put her ice cream cup in the freezer, she heard her sisters laugh and high-five each other.

"Denial confirms it!" Ram exulted. "You're in love, sis!"

"For the last freaking time, I am not—"

"Blanc and C-Sha sitting in the tree," Rom and Ram sang in unison. "K-I-S-S-I-N-G!"

"Ugh! I don't have to listen to this nonsense!" Blanc huffed, walking away from her annoying singing sisters as she headed to her bedroom. "I'm going to bed!"

The brunette slammed the door and locked it so the twins wouldn't come in to bug her with their crazy talk. Then, she plopped down on her bed and stared at the ceiling fan. Usually, she would go to her computer to continue writing, but she was still too tired from dogoo hunting.

Blanc shook her head from side to side as she thought about what her sisters said. No words could describe how ridiculous her sisters were acting, believing she was in love with C-Sha.

Did she think C-Sha was the most beautiful and caring woman she's ever met? Sure. Do her days feel better when she is around her? Absolutely, but that doesn't mean Blanc was in love with her, right?

Right?

And that's a wrap!
