Chapter 1: What the Vision Led To

The Madirgal Family was gifted by a miracle with abilities beyond what normal people could. Alma was the matriarch had three children: Julieta, Pepa and Bruno. On the day her husband died, she was granted that miracle, a special candle that created a large magical living house, dubbed Casita. Not only that but it created a valley which they named The Encanto. On their firth birthday all three gained gifts. And when Julieta and Pepa had children on their fifth birthdays they gained their gifts as well… until the current youngest Mirabel. When she had her gift ceremony, where the child would touch a special door meant for them, the door vanished.

Bruno's gift was to in to the future. Alma tasked him to see in the future what the meant the for the miracle.

Bruno foresaw a future… not one that grim… but one that a mystery… he saw that his family go to some place far away and Alma would somehow build a second Casita.

He didn't know what it meant… but he knew that he had to investigate what the vision meant.

Even if it meant living his home.

He decided to not to tell anyone. As the people in town had come to resent him due to his visions… blaming for things like their fish dying, growing a gut and losing their hair… and the first two were their own faults, putting the fish in a tiny bowl and eating so much food.

Not only that but Pepa still resented him for a joke he made before he wedding that caused her to create a hurricane as her Gift was she controlled the weather with her emotions.

So he left, as he explored the world outside the Encanto, he learned something important… the Gifts weren't magic… it was something that while in his home country was only now just appearing, they were incredibly common. In many other countries.

Thankfully, he was armed with another language his brother-in-law Agustin's grandfather was Japanese and taught his grandson the language. Bruno decided to learn as a way to distract him for a bit.

The distraction was more so that he couldn't do any physical chores as particularly nasty incident involving bees… Agustin was allelic,. But thankfully not deathly allergic…

Sill he eventually made his way to Japan…

Unfortunately the way he did it was less than legal… and due to that he eventually got into debt with the Yakuza…

That sounded bad… really bad…

But as it turned out the boss was actually a decent guy.

He was a criminal but there were far worse in Japan, such a the boogey man… but honestly being his debt wasn't too bad.

He was tasked with various things to do. Often using his gift to plan things out. But he figured that once his debt was cleared he would be to go.

But several years of this he was given a new task.

As it turned out he had a Granddaughter… as a granddaughter who was just abandoned by her mother.

Because she accidently killed her father.

The boss left him partially in charge of her along with the boss' adopted son Kai Chisaki.

Chisaki would be in charge of dealing with her quirk and Bruno would be in charge of her emotional needs .

"Why do I need his help?" asked Chisaki.

"My foolish daughter called her a monster…" muttered the boss, "It's important to have her heal emotionally…"

"Plus have you ever interacted with children?" asked Bruno.

"Have you?" asked Chisaki.

"Yes… before I left home, I would play with my sobrina and sobrino." Said Bruno.

Chisaki raised an eyebrow.

"Niece and nephew." He said in Japanese, "And they were about Eri's age when I left."

The boss nodded knowing this was true.

"I expect you both to do a good job…" said the boss.

What Bruno didn't know was that the boss was planning something very special if he did a good job.

And he was doing a good job. Despite the danger of Eri's power, he always figured out a way to cheer her up.

Especially since Chisaki was hurting on her. Performing experiment on what the Japanese called her Quirk.

He had realizes he could use her tissue to create a drug to destroy them.

Which made sense, as Chisaki saw the abilities as a disease. Something that needed to be eradicated. While Bruno didn't care that much for his gift, he knew that many of them were amazing. Not only that but he wanted to bring the Yakuza back to its former glory as Villains had taken over the criminal groups in present times for most things.

However the boss was against it… He refused to let his granddaughter be subjected to such harm.

Which was why Chisaki placed him into a coma and took over the family.

He became more villain like, calling himself Overhaul and regularly took all of Eri's blood and killed her over and over again. Thanks to his ability he would be able to revie her as many times he could, as long as too much time hadn't passed.

In fact he had killed Bruno multiple times for trying to stand up to him and then revving him quite quickly.

Still he had hope that one day he and Eri would get out of there…

Or at the very least Eri on her own.

And as it turned out one day he had an involuntary vision showing Eri escaping, alone, but she could be free.

One of the things the Bruno had done to bond with the girl was to teach her Spanish.

Which was perfect for planning the escape.

"Eri…" he told her and then spoke Spanish, "(No matter what he says, no matter who shows up, you have to keep running… you have to keep going…)"

Eri nodded sadly.

"(You can't come?)" asked Eri.

"(I can't… but I will find you…)" said Bruno.

He was lying… honestly he wouldn't be surprised if Chisaki killed him for this.

And thanks to the openings he predicted, Eri successfully escaped.

And she ran and ran and kept running until she bumped into a teenaged boy with curly green hair, big green eyes and freckles. With him was another older teenaged boy with cartoony blue eyes and blonde hair.

Unfortunately Chisaki was following her, claiming to be her father .

She held onto the the green haired boy.

Who could tell that everything was very wrong.

Still he followed Chisaki while he talked about how Eri was stubborn girl and always trying to run away, while the other boy talked to him.

However Chisaki had a plan A and a Plan B to get her back.

He decided to try Plan A first.

"Besides Eri… if you leave Bruno would be very sad." Said Chisaki.

Eri heard what he was really saying.

"If you don't come back I will kill him."

She let go of the green haired boy and ran to Chisaki.

Even if Bruno told her to run away and keep running she couldn't do that, not when Chisaki made that threat.

She was taken back and of course had a "harvesting session" during that time which was getting as many cells as possible before reviving her.

She was returned to her room where an injured Bruno was at.

She ran towards him and hugged him tightly.

"Why did you come back?" asked Bruno.

"I could let you die Papa…" cried Eri.

Bruno's eyes widened. The two had gotten very close the last couple years… it made sense that she had come to see him as a father.

He had been drying in for a while now, but now to know the truth.

"It's going to be okay…" said Bruno, "Mi hija."

Eri cried at this… she couldn't help it.

Half way around the world something happened…

Casita was a very special house, that was built from Alma's very powerful ability that she didn't know she even had. She had thought for all these years it was a miracle that brought the house.

It would create a room for her children and grandchildren… what no one knew was that the child didn't have to be by blood.

Hours later in what could be morning Colombia. The now 15 year old Mirabel got up humming a song.

That was when she saw something that shouldn't be there… a new glowing door.

Five years before, Pepa had a third child, another son named Antonio. And the doors appeared shortly before the fifth birthday and his was still weeks away.

The fact that it was there… meant there was something more going on;.

She approached the door and saw on the knob was an "E".

She then ran to the door labeled "Abela" and knocked on it a lot.

Alma opened the door and looked at her granddaughter .

"Mirabel…" sighed Alma.

"There's a new door that I can't explain!" yelled Mirabel.

"What?" asked Alma.

As the layout of Casita's bedrooms was that all of the bedroom doors overlooked at court yard. Her eyes widened as she saw a new door that had appeared.

"I checked out the door, there's an E on the knob." Explained Mirabel.

Alma didn't know what to say at that.

"I don't know what it means." Said Alma unsure, "I'll figure this out later!"

Mirabel nodded.

However that wasn't the only alteration…

As it turned out there was another alteration Casita made.

And as everyone was getting breakfast, Antonio asked something.

"Who's Eri?" he asked.

"Eri?" replied Pepa.

"Yeah! I saw on the family tree! "said Antonio.

Everyone looked at each other. After all they all knew about the family tree in the dining room.

Everyone went to look and they saw a major change… a 7th grandchild… right below Bruno and they saw the name "Eri". Indeed it a was little girl with white hair… they didn't notice the tin horn she had.

"Tio Bruno has a daughter?" asked Mirabel confused.

"We will figure this out later." Said Alma before anyone else could say anything, especially notice that Pepa had created a small storm.

Her husband Felix began to reassure her that it was going to be fine.

However Mirabel looked at her grandmother and aunt.

"Mira…" said Julieta.

"They're going to just ignore it…" muttered Mirabel.

"I know…" sighed Julieta, "Come on let's go eat."

Back in Japan… that green haired boy was staring at celling. He could sleep… because he kept thinking about Eri. She did tell him her name.

He was Izuku Midoriya, and he was training to be a hero. Not only was kicking himself to letting Eri get away (it partially had to do with an investigation that his current mentor was working on… he was investigating Chisaki and didn't want him to ruin it). But it wasn't just that…

"Bruno would be very sad if you left…" kept playing in his head .

He knew Eri was in dander… but that phrase… it just made him think a lot…

Was there someone else in danger… or was it just her.

Part of him was hoping it was the latter… but he still couldn't shake off the feeling.

But it wouldn't be until weeks later that he would get his answer.

Next Time: Weeks after Eri's escape, heroes raid the compound... Including Izuku. Will Bruno and Eri make it out alive? Or will Bruno have to sacrifice something to save Eri.

A/N: If you're wondering about the thing with Agustin, I remember reading a theory a while ago that he was of Asian decedent. I decided to use that theory to add to the story and explain away what would have been a plot hole. Who else knows Japanese will be revealed in an upcoming chapter.
