A boy watched as the monster army marched past. His cold, calculating silver eyes scanned every creature, noting them down. The boy was raven haired, which was mostly black except for a streak of auburn running down the side. The boy was around ten years old, but he was abnormally tall for his age, standing at almost 6 foot 3. The boy drew his bow and took aim at the horde of monsters. The string went taut, and the arrow began to glow. He took a deep breath and released the arrow. The arrow shot forward at a blinding speed before embedding itself in the middle of the monster group. A blinding flash ensued, along with a roar.
The boy was gone.
Leaving behind nothing but golden dust and a crater where the monster horde was.
Journal of Perseus, page one
Hello. My name is Perseus. I am the son of a Goddess. Which Goddess? That is for me to know and for you to find out. My father? I do not speak of him. My mother is quite sensitive to his name, and I do not wish to cause any potential distress to her.
My heritage is what you would have to discover on your own. I have decided to write my experiences here, hopefully to guide the next generation of hunters, and to warn others of avoiding the same mistakes I have made.
Today started like any other day. I found an innocent maiden by the name of Zoe Nightshade. She was one of the Hesperides, daughters of Atlas and one of the six handmaidens of Hera. She appears to be quite shy, although I experienced firsthand she can be quite fierce when she wants to be.
She has shared her experiences with me, detailing her meeting with the fabled hero, Heracles. I am not fully aware of what happened, but from what she has told me, she is yet another innocent girl who has had their life ripped apart by the greed of the male race. I have offered her a place in Artemis's huntresses. She accepted, and tomorrow I will introduce her.
The boy leapt from tree to tree, with grace that betrayed his size. Forests faded into Deserts; Desserts gave way to Grasslands. Then, he was back in the forests. Now, he sat, watching his campfire. He wondered how his mother was doing. He had been extremely hesitant to leave her, but it was for her own safety. If anyone found out he was half giant…

Instantly on his feet, he spun around with his bow in his hand, an arrow already notched and aimed at…a wolf that just stared back at the boy with curious eyes. Smiling, the boy put his bow away and beckoned the wolf over. Trotting forwards, the wolf nuzzled the boy, who scratched the wolf between its ears. Soon, he was surrounded by all the wildlife. Animals from Deer to birds and even Bears, all answering to him as they sensed their mistress's son enter the woods.
The boy looked up at the gibbous moon, a small smile gracing his features.
Soon, he thought to himself. Soon.
A/N So, first fanfic! please let me know on how you feel about it. I am new to this whole "writing" process, so you will have to forgive me if there is anything you find unsatisfactory.
btw there is no plot yet, I'm just writing whatever odd ideas I get when I am extremely bored at school. I am open to suggestions!
Thanks,
