I don't own the Loud House.

Hello everyone, I'm back! I had a few months hiatus because I needed a break and that time was well spent. I have come back with updates for all of my stories that are ongoing and I've also prepared several new stories. I normally don't like to work on too many at once but some of these are much shorter in length than the giant that is DLA. This story isn't going to be longer than 10 chapters. I've already written six of them and I feel like I'll reach the conclusion of the story by the 8th chapter or so. I'll probably add an epilogue or something at the end also.

I'll be returning to my normal two week schedule for the time being so you guys will be getting updates from me twice a month. And if you can't wait that long then I have good news! Join my and I'm just kidding. I have an old rule where I would update a chapter once it reached 10 reviews but considering that I get more than that now on average I think it's time to update that rule.

So from now on, for stories that I have chapters done in advance, if we can get 20 reviews per chapter, I will post the next chapter as soon as I am able. It might seem like a lot but I also need time to breathe in between updates so I gotta raise the requirements a little bit.

So please enjoy this story, I'm sure that you will get a kick out of it. And also go check out my other stories that I'm sure you'll enjoy as well.

L Is For Love

Chapter 1: The Letter

"Come on, dudes, we're gonna be late for school!" Lincoln heard Luna call out from downstairs. He could hear an eagerness in her voice that he knew was from her excitement. After a week of deliberating with herself, Luna had finally built up the courage to confess her feelings to her crush at school. And while his own crush never seemed to respond to his own feelings, Lincoln was happy for his big sister.

Grabbing his backpack, he raced downstairs in order to catch vanzilla before Lori drove off. But as he was going down the stairs, he slipped on something on the last step and almost fell flat on his face. He barely managed to grab onto the banister as he slipped and saved himself from a nasty fall.

"What the?" Lincoln looked down at the floor and saw a white rectangular piece of paper. It took him a second too long to realize that what he was staring at was a letter. But not just any letter, no, it was Luna's love letter! He bent down quickly to pick it up and rushed outside in order to give it to his sister. But to his dismay, Lori had already left without.

"Just great..." He muttered as his shoulders slumped. He knew that Lori didn't leave him behind intentionally or out of malice. His school was probably closer to the Loud house than the high school and middle school were so if he was late, Lori knew that he could easily walk and still make it. But the problem wasn't whether or not he could make it on time to his school, the problem was that Luna's letter wasn't in her possession.

Now he could have called them to turn back around but unfortunately his phone was currently out of commission because Lynn thought it would be a great idea to play water balloon fight indoors and got him and his phone wet. And Lisa told him it would be at least another day for her to repair it since she lacked all of the parts.

But he wasn't the Man with the plan for nothing, he quickly looked around and saw that Lynn had left her bike unlocked. He quickly mounted it and pedaled for all that he was worth towards the high school. He knew that he could make it there in time if he hurried. After all, Clyde knew that if he didn't show up but didn't call ahead that he would most likely be late and to execute Operation: Blow Up. Which wasn't to call in a bomb threat as Lynn had thought when she overheard them talking about the plan and offered to help.

It took him almost ten minutes to race towards the high school and by the time he arrived, he was already sweating bullets. He parked the bike in the rack in front of the school and locked it before rushing towards the building. The bell must've already rung because there was hardly anyone left in the halls. But Lincoln wasn't worried about that, all he needed to do was deliver the letter to Sam's locker and...

Lincoln stopped dead in his tracks. He didn't know where Sam's locker was! Of all of the times that he had hung out with Luna and Sam, he never once learned of their locker locations. He didn't even know where Luna's locker was. Groaning, he let his shoulders slump once more as he let himself drift into despair.

"You okay, kid?" A voice asked behind him.

He turned around prepared to tell them that he was fine when he noticed who it was. "Mazzy?"

Mazzy was a thin girl, who had plum colored hair that concealed her eyes, and wore purple lipstick. She wore a black and white striped shirt, a light seafoam jacket, a dark gray skirt, white stockings, and dark teal sneakers. She also wore paperclip earrings like his sister Luna did.

"Yo, Linco, what's up?" Mazzy asked as she recognized Luna's little brother. She raised an eyebrow, not that he could see, at his appearance. He was sweaty and he looked like he was glum about something.

"Mazzy, you have no idea how happy I am to see you!" Lincoln exclaimed, his hope revitalizing itself upon seeing Luna's friend and bandmate. "I have to deliver this to Sam's locker quickly! Before the day is over!"

Mazzy looked down at the white envelope in Lincoln's hands and she immediately gushed. "Is that a love letter, little dude?" She asked excitedly.

In his rush, Lincoln failed to notice her excitement, or rather, he failed to note the reason why she was excited. "Yea and it's for Sam. Please, won't you help me?" He pleaded.

Mazzy couldn't take it. She reached down and pinched his cheeks playfully. "Oh my god, you're so cute! Of course, I'll help you out, little dude! Anything in the name of love, I say!"

Lincoln sighed with relief. "Thanks, you have no idea how much this means to me. I owe you one." He said as he began to follow the older girl down the hall.

"Nah, dude, just tell me the details of how this goes later." Mazzy said with a wave. "Besides, I think Luna is gonna be thrilled."

"Yea, I think so too." Lincoln said, not realizing that they weren't on the same page. "I'm doing this for her too."

"That's so sweet, Linc. You're making sure that Luna always gets to have her best friend around." Mazzy said with a wink, not that he could see it. "If things work out, Sam could definitely be part of the family."

This made Lincoln blush, which Mazzy took to mean that she was right. "I-I don't know about that...it's a little early, don't you think?"

"Psshhhaw." Mazzy said with another wave. "Age doesn't matter when love is involved." But then she added quickly. "Unless it's like an old man and child. That shit is creepy and anyone who does that shit needs to take a shotgun to the mouth if you get what I'm saying."

Lincoln couldn't help but nod. "Thank goodness Sam isn't an old man."

"Yep, thank goodness." Mazzy said as she playfully ruffled his hair. "Here we are, dude."

"Thanks a bunch, Mazzy. I'm serious about owing you one." Lincoln said as he slipped the letter into Sam's Locker. He turned towards the older girl and gave her a quick hug. "If you ever need anything, feel free to call in the favor. Just let Luna know and I'll be there."

Mazzy chuckled as she hugged him back. "No worries, little dude. It was my pleasure. But shouldn't you be in school right now?"

Lincoln stiffened as he remembered that he wasn't in his own school. "Shoot! I gotta go. My double isn't going to last in gym class today."

With one last wave and a word of thanks, Lincoln sped off towards the exit in order to make it to his school before gym class in the second period. And Mazzy, who was late to class but didn't care at the moment, just watched him go for a moment. She then giggled before she pulled out her phone.

"Oh man, just wait until Luna hears about this!" She said to herself as she began to type away.

End of chapter.
