The sun scorched his skin as he walked through the grassy fields, the slight breeze of the wind made his snow white hair bristle as he continued walking through the grassy destination was unknown all he wanted to do was walk to anywhere or journey to pace was slow and silent, content of not letting anyone know of his departure.

His dull yellow eye's darted to every direction,however...

His journey didn't continue long as a delicate hand found it's way on his shoulder,a smell similiar to a violet flower filled the soft and sweet fragrance calmed the boy as he stared at the one griping his as white as the purest of snow, eye's a deep shade of blood red and skin so delicate and eye's held warmth and her smile bought kneeled down to his height as she embraced him,the boy didn't resist after all he felt safe in her embrace.

She utterd a few words to the boy, words that would remain forgotten by him.

THE KINGHT

He came to a halt as he stared at the large tavern before him,it was located in a villiage on the far outskirts of any major streets were empty but the stranger would have attracted attention if there were any present, his choice of attire seemed absurd on this hot day.

He stood before the inn as the bustling voices of people reached his ears it seemed full,it was expected at this did not enter the tavern, instead opting to walk further down the street and to another one,one significantly smaller and more run it,it was nearly empty save for a few people who all turned to stare at the new comer.
The tavern owner also raised his head as he took in the strangers wore a suit of bulky armor hiding his figure well,it was decorated with red and markings,it was finished with a horned helmet with two narrow slits etched onto it.
The clanking of his armor echoed through the tavern as he came to a halt infront of the stood motionless and silent infront of the counter.

"So what will it be?"

"Water"

His voice resounded from within his helmet making it sound all the more unpleasant.
The owner however didn't bother to question the stranger on why he wanted water at a tavern,he couldn't really care less but now that this stranger was closer he did get a better glimpse at him and at the weapon he was 'd have to admit he was slighly intimidated by this starnger especially considering their weapon of choice.
It was a sword strapped to his back, although that would seem more odd then intimidating but the size of it was absurd and screamed impractical.
Now it was wasn't overly large but it still seemed impraticle, however he couldn't help but admire the blade seemed more dazzling than any silver and the handle was beautifully decorated in red.A sword fit for a knight.

The armored man continued standing as he spoke once again.

"There any contracts on Grimm?"

Contracts?Ah,it made sense this man must have been a owner had only ever seen a few Huntsman past through the villiage but none stood out as much as this one.

"You a Huntsman?"

"No."

The response confused the owner a bit,why was he looking to deal with Grimm if he wasn't a Huntsman? There were plenty of other jobs one could take that pay well, but he guessed Huntsman weren't the only ones capable of dealing with Grimm.

"Well if you're looking for job's concering Grimm, you'll have to talk to the villiage chief"

"Where will I find him?"

"Well once you exit just head down the path till you come across the largest house here, just talk to the guard and he might let you in or not,I don't really know."The owner said with a shrug of his shoulders.

The stranger dropped a few coins on the counter as he turned to leave, only for his path to be blocked by three men.
A tall beanpole of a man was infront of the stranger, his two companions a few steps behind him.
The owner sighed, knowing what this was about but he did not step in to defend the all who would risk their neck for someone they didn't even know?

"That's some nice armor you got there mate, and that sword is simply must be swimming in money I bet,how 'bout you help us poor folk out and lend us ,we'll be sure to pay you back, honest."The tall man spoke with a grin.

"Yeah shouldn't the rich be helping out the poor?"A larger man spoke from behind his companion his voice laced with a condescending tone.

"Yeah help a friend out."The smallest out of the three spoke up,a grin also etched onto his face.

The stranger remained silent and motionless, and the three couldn't help but scowl at his behaiviour.

"Eye!You listening to us!?"

"Heh,bet his ears are full of shite."The smaller man cakkled.

"Move."The stranger simply utterd.

"Ah?So you can speak, now how about that loan eh?We wouldn't want to get violent so how 'bout you just give as some money and we'll be on our way,we'll even be happy to take that sword of your hands or that fancy armor."The tall one said with greed glistening in his eye's,his right hand reaching inside his pocket probably reaching for a weapon.

"No."The stranger again spoke up his voice monotone.

"Tch,fine then if you want to be like that then we'll do this the hard way."The trio all pulled out knives as they surrounded him.

The stranger stared at the three fools before simply crossing his men weren't a threat and he made that known by not bothering to take any defensive stance.

The tall man's brow furrowed as he sneered.

"You fucker!"The tall one screamed as he lunged at the stranger holding the knife with both wasn't thinking straight as he had not even botherd to look for any blind spot in the strangers armor that might be exploited.

Which is why he found sabaton aimed at his stomach for his troubles.

He practically flew to the other side of the tavern as the strangers kicked easily was no need to check if he was uncouncious or not.

"Do you two still wanna go?"

The two remaining men looked at him then at their uncouncious friend, they must've thought the idea of robbing a armed and armoured individual seemed stupid now as they wasted no time in making their escape, not without retrieving their friend first.

The stranger scoffed as he too exited the tavern.
Why any fool would try and rob a fully armed man was beyond him.

And with thise thoughts he made his way to the head of the village.

ACT II

Zoltan, the chief of the village of Umerik scratched his bearded chin as he stared out of his large window overlooking the he was not faint of heart but he did not exactly relish the thought of being alone with the mysterious armoured man who claimed he wanted to solve his Grimm at the end of the day he was no coward.

"You may go."He ordered the guard standing at the entrance,he nodded as his figure soon diseapeared.

Turning his attention to the armoured man he gestured for him to take a seat across his desk.

"I'll stand."

Zoltan merely shrugged his shoulders as he continued speaking.

"I understand that you wish to help with any Grimm related problems correct?Mister..."

"Just call me...Keir."

"Keir? That name sounds very that I think about it you have a slight accent as well, but we are getting of topic, you wish to handle any Grimm problems we might have and I must admit you do look very capable but looks can be deceiving."

"I can handle myself."

"If you say so,but times are changing and the Grimm are also experiencing changes of there own.I remember a time when it was all simple when you only got a few types of Grimm who could be easily be despatched by even just a few groups of armed as I'm sure you are aware that the Grimm are more dangerous than ever, which is why I nee-"

"I'm aware of the I'm also aware that you would very much like to resolve the Grimm problem that's soon to plaque your let us skip the idle chit-chat and go on to the details."Keir cut him off.

The chief remained silent for awhile before he opened his mouth to speak again.

"Very there were no Grimm attacks near the villiage, our transporters were recently attacked and killed on certain roads leading to neighbouring town's."

"Transporters?"

"We usally trade supplies with nearby towns via carriages, unfournatley we don't posses any fancy technologies like those as you can see it's only a matter of time before the Grimm prowl closer to our town."

"And what makes you so sure it is a Grimm? Were there any survivors who could attest to this?"

"No,there are no survivor's but I've seen the carnage rought there myself and it sure as hell wasn't bandits or wild animals."

"I see...then where did the attack take place,I could perhaps track this Grimm down."

"Once you exit the villiage just head to the path east of this town,we haven't gotten time to clean up all the bodies so you should notice where it happend rather I must warn it is a horrible site to behold."

Keir nodded as he turned to leave only to stop upon hearing the chiefs voice.

"But I must warn you to be careful, this is by no means some normal Grimm."

"I'll keep that in mind."

Exiting the chief's office Keir made his way to the location if the attack.

"Hmm,no normal Grimm,Huh?"

Well,a slaughter would be putting couldn't help but think as he stared at the scene before.
Ten body's litterd on the road, all immensely mutilated as well as a broken carriage with supplies spilled out such as food and wine, something big attacked here.

Keir approached one nearby body and kneeled down to examine being immensely mutilated he could still make out that it was a male, missing an arm and his face was teared off,or more accurately bitten chunks of flesh were missing from him as well,it seemes the Grimm took the time to feast.

"Strange,Grimm have no need to sustain themselves with flesh."

Keir examined the other bodies who were in similiar it really a Grimm?Grimm usually just went for the kill and judging from the scale of this the Grimm would have to be pretty big which means it should have no problem mowing down a couple of men even if they were it was obvious this was no work of some there weren't many animals in this part of the forest.
Keir approached the carriage and looked over the aroma of strong wine filled his nostrils despite him wearing a wine bottle was empty but not enough was spilled on the ground, from what he could see from the wet stains sunkened into the ground.

"Hmm,perhaps some spilled on the Grimm."

He turned as he examined other areas until he came across heavey prints imbedded into the ground.
An Ursa seemed to be the most likely Grimm but these prints were larger than what a full grown Ursa could muster.

"Subspeacies maybe?"Keir pondered as he followed the tracks followed the path for a while before it detrailed into the was easy to follow the trail as he could see plants here were clearly trampled on by something big.
He walked for awhile until the trail stopped infront a large cave.
The scent of wine filled his nostrils again as he examined the cave.

"Seems it's taken up residence here."

Keir walked to a nearby tree and leaned against it as he crossed his arms.
He'd have to wait for the Grimm to come out into the open, fighting it in the dark cave was stupid and hardly seemed to get more dangerous by the day, because of this most Huntsman Academy's entrance exams seemed to get more difficult as in itself made sense as they needed more Huntsman in the world seeing as it's going to shit.
That's also way people like him are in high demand.
Not everyone could afford a Huntsman.

Keir was snapped out of his pondering as heavy thuds echoed through the cave as the Grimm emerged from the cave as it sensed new was an Ursa alright, only many times larger, almost the size of a small house.

Keir sighed as he pushed himself of the tree and equipped his the swords size he easily held in one hand as he rested it on his shoulder.

"Hmm,I better get paid extra for this."Keir mutterd as he stared at the large beast who wasted no time in giving an ear splitting roar and charging at it's size it was rather fast and it wasted no time in opening it's mouth, displaying it's rows of sharp teeth it tried to rip Keir to shreds with it found itself biting at air as Keir was no longer there.

"Quite the speed."Keor's voice resounded from further in the forest,he had simple leaped back a little just fast enough for the Ursa to not notice.

The Ursa growled as it charged at him again, mowing down trees in it's way it brought down it's sharp claws intending to rip his prey to shreds.
Only to find it's attack had simply raised his arm and easily stopped the Ursa's attack with what looked like little effort.
And in one quick motion Keir raised his sword and sliced at the Ursa's arm and completely severed it in one quick swing.
The Ursa fell over as it writhed in pain, unable to support itself.
The Ursa continued it's wild movement's until it came to a stop once Keir imebbed his sword into it's head, the Ursa no longer moved and was instantly killed.

"Grimm usally disepate within an hour,so I suppose I should take it's head as proof."

Kneeling down he sheathed his sword and took out a without hesitation he carved at the dead Ursa's neck until the head detached.

Putting away his knife he pondered about the rather large Ursa.

"Looks it wasn't one of those new subspecies but rather just an Ursa that went throughout some that's why it needed to eat with it evolving,it could no longer sustain itself with just negative emotions instead it needed actual food to supply ."

Grimm, the bane of both human and faunas monsters who feed on negative emotions, although that sounded terrifying it is a simple the concept of Grimm seemed simple once upon a time, but same as humans and faunes the Grimm adapted, evolved and now new subspecies of Grimm plagued Renmant.
Newer and unknown Grimm meant danger and Huntsman's were in high demand, but not many are able to afford their services and there's were people like him come in.
For simpler terms he was a kind of Mercenary,he did all kinds of jobs for a decent and other's services were in high demand, but alas he was always short on money.

Gripping on the head of the large Ursa,he made his way back to the path.

"Still though a mutated Grimm here spells bad news."Mutated Grimm as the name suggest are Grimm that went over some kind of mutation, these vary from just an increase of size, extra limbs or sometimes enhanced these types of Grimm are very dangerous but not nearly as deadly as the Grimm subspecies.
Newer more powerful and smarter Grimm,a pain in the ass to deal with but not impossible to kill, just very difficult.

Alas it was good he took care of this one,no doubt it would've attacked any nearby village had it grown some more.

Keir was snapped out of his thoughts when he once again reached the site of the attack only to notice some people were their loading up the bodies,or what was left of them onto a also took notice of the Chief who in turn noticed him and approached.

"It was foolish of you to come here, what if the Grimm was still prowling about?"Keir asked the Chief.

"I know,it wasn't the wisest decision but I wanted to give these bodies a proper besides it seems you've already dealt with the Grimm."He said as he gestured the the Ursa's head gripped by Keir's gauntlet.

"But I must admit I've never seen a Grimm that big."The chief said as he examined the head.

"It's mutated."

"Ah,one of 've seem to have dealt with it without receiving any damage,I must say that armor is magnificent."

" my payment."

"Of course."He reached for his pockets and pulled out a stack of Lien, and handed it to Keir.

Taking the money Keir bid the Chief fairwell as he went on his way.
He had no particular destination in mind,he never was a nomad always traveling without any real purpose.
It was a simple life, one he was content with.
