Hi everyone! PrimroseRaspberry here, and welcome to my second Miraculous/Star Darlings crossover! In fact, it's not just that; this story is also the sequel to my first Miraculous/Star Darlings crossover, "Star Perfectionist!" If you haven't read that story yet, please read it now before reading this one any further; otherwise it may not make much sense.

Before I start the story, first I would like to thank everyone who read and supported "Star Perfectionist," particularly beloved guest reviewer Malchior the Bad. I'm really glad you enjoyed the story, and honestly, hearing from you motivated me a lot. I hope you end up coming across this story at some point, because trust me; it's going to be good.

I was planning to publish "Optipinkstic" as a sequel for quite some time, even before I finished "Star Perfectionist." Sorry for the 2-month wait, but getting a few elements of the story together wasn't the only thing that prompted those delays. The reason why I decided make a sequel was because…well, Sabrina and Vega may have found a way out of their tight situations, but there is still one Starling that could use some time to shine. But I'm going to let you find out who it is on your own through the story; wouldn't wanna give any spoilers!

Without further ado, here is the sequel to "Star Perfectionist."

Chapter 1

The bell rang, signalling the end of another school day at Collège Françoise Dupont. All the students filed out, most of them feeling very relaxed. There had been no akuma attacks or sentimonster attacks for quite some time. Not since the Miraculous supervillains were stopped and arrested one week ago.

Many teenagers hopped on their bikes. A particular girl with orange hair came down the steps, and some of the girls who were on their bikes waved her over. "Sabrina," called one, "wanna come with us? We're going over to Juleka's so we can rehearse for the next Kitty Section concert!"

"Sure, Rose!"

As the gang rode down the street together, Sabrina Raincomprix sighed happily. Until last week, she'd spent her whole life going with only other people's decisions and catering the most spoiled girl in her school. Everyone thought that when she'd finally stood up for herself, ended her friendship with Chloe Bourgeois, and made some real friends, it was simply because she'd suddenly realized the error of her ways all on her own. Actually, however, she'd had some help—but it wasn't like she could tell anyone that.

It had all begun two weeks ago, when Sabrina's classmate and now friend Mylène had been akumatized into Horrificator for the second time. She'd grown big and strong enough to literally throw people around; something she mostly wanted to do to Chloe, since her insults were what got her akumatized in the first place. But at the last minute, Chloe had shoved Sabrina in front of her, and she had been thrown instead—all the way into a shooting star just leaving Earth. A sparkly green-haired girl had been in the shooting star already, and she'd led Sabrina to a planet she never knew existed: Starland, where sparkly and magically empowered citizens that were otherwise humans granted wishes. There, she'd gotten to know the green-haired girl, Tessa, and all her friends, a group of twelve who were known as the Star Darlings.

Sabrina had stayed on Starland for a week, but no one back in Paris had found out about her absence right away. Vega, a Star Darling who was at the time deeply stressed with her grades, was sent to fill in for her back in Paris so she could clear her mind. During her extraterrestrial vacation, Sabrina learned from the Star Darlings that friendship had a few extra elements to it, and that she was allowed to create her own path in life. They then became the first real friends she'd ever had, even though she was supposed to unknowingly have her memories of Starland erased when her stay was over. The reason why she secretly still had her memories was because of the BFF bond she'd formed with Libby, a Star Darling who was a friend pleaser just like her. She couldn't bring herself to let their friendship go, so she'd helped Sabrina acquire a Power Crystal that allowed her Starland memories to remain intact. To this day, Libby and Sabrina were the only ones who knew that the loyal Wishling still remembered Starland—not even the other Star Darlings knew.

The teens eventually arrived at the Seine, where the Couffaine Houseboat resided. That was where Sabrina's classmate Juleka lived, and where she and her musical band practiced their performances. For the first time ever, Sabrina was invited to be in the audience. She could hardly wait.

School had just let out for the Star Darlings too. As the twelve girls filed out of their last class of the day (a secret class that every other student thought was just a study hall period), they began making plans for what to do now. Tessa was going to teach Adora and Gemma how to make a new recipe, and Astra said she was going to show Cassie how to play some sports. Piper was on her way to the glorange tree forest, when Libby rushed up to her excitedly. Piper groaned, noticing Libby's smile and already knowing what she was going to say.

"Don't you think the glorange tree forest would be the perfect place to have a party? If I just—"

"Sorry Libby," Piper cut in, "but do you mind if we discuss this later? I have some very important things to do."

"Oh. Sure," said Libby, but Piper was already walking away from her.

Seeing Scarlet on her way to the Luminous Library with Vega and Clover, Libby skipped toward them. However, before she could even utter a word, Scarlet sighed. "What is it this time? Pink? Parties? Boys? Or maybe just shoes."

Libby smiled. "Actually, I was going to talk about all four!"

"Maybe later," Vega replied politely. And before Libby could say anything else, she, Scarlet, and Clover went into the Luminous Library, noticeably quicker than they were a few starsecs ago, closing the door behind them.

With a sigh, Libby turned toward Sage and Leona, who were also on their way to the Luminous Library and had just stopped for a moment to chat about something. Since all the Starlings going in there were part of the Star Darlings musical band, Libby had a feeling she knew what was going on. Today they were having a band meeting before rehearsal!

Noticing Libby was following them, Leona said, "Sorry girl, but this one's just between us."

"But everyone else in the band is in there," said Libby.

While Leona hurried into the Luminous Library, Sage sighed. She thought for a bit, as though trying to make up some kind of excuse, and then said, "Um, the thing is, we're trying to come up with a song for MO-J4 as a surprise present, and um, we need you to keep him busy until we're ready."

"But MO-J4 spends more time with you than anyone on campus. Wouldn't it be more effective if you kept him busy?"

"Well, uh," Sage stammered, "you're right about that, but…he really likes parties, and you're much better at starting them than me."

"Oh," said Libby. She managed a convincing smile and added, "Okay, star salutions!"

"Star salutions," replied Sage, going into the Luminous Library and closing the door behind her.

When Sage was gone, Libby's smile disappeared. She had a feeling Sage and the others weren't really planning a present for MO-J4. Libby always pretended to be oblivious to it, but she knew her friends could get really annoyed every time she talked about boys, pink, parties, and shoes. She talked about those subjects a lot, and sometimes she'd seen the signs: Scarlet clenching her teeth and groaning impatiently, Sage, Vega, and Leona walking away with their hands over their ears, Cassie awkwardly staring to the side, Piper rolling her eyes and sighing. The only Star Darling that didn't seem to mind Libby's favourite topics was Gemma, but that was mainly because she was even more talkative than she was and knew how it felt to be somewhat neglected due to it. Being overly chatty was just part of Gemma's personality, like talking so much about her favourite subjects was part of Libby's.

With everyone else busy doing fun things together, Libby headed to the Little Dipper Dorm and entered her room. She sat down on her bed, staring at the floor. She didn't understand why it drove her friends crazy whenever she talked so much about her favourite subjects. Gemma talked a lot more than her about a lot more topics than she did, and her sister Tessa was the only one who ever had trouble tolerating it. There were other things the girls had an easier time accepting too, like Piper being lost in thought, Astra and Tessa's stubbornness, and Scarlet wanting space. Each starday, Libby had been hoping her friends would come to accept her constant chatter about her favourite things, and that it was just taking longer to do so than it had for everyone else's imperfections. However, by this point she was starting to doubt that starday would ever come.

Taking out her Star Zap, Libby looked at all the pictures (or holo-pics) she had saved. Some of them featured her with the other Star Darlings, and others were of several boys including her super zoomy crush, Ganymede. But her favourite was the most recent holo-pic she'd taken. It was a photo of her and Sabrina in the glorange tree forest, happily holding up their respective Power Crystals. She'd taken this holo-pic on Sabrina's last starday in Starland, right after she'd unintentionally revealed her true identity to the entire school at a concert. Right before the two of them had gone into the hedge maze to hide from the other Starlings.

Libby sighed. Sabrina was the only friend of hers that accepted her for who she was—even though she talked a lot about her favourite things. Unlike the rest of her friends, who clearly thought her tangents were annoying, Sabrina was never bothered by it at all. She simply went with it without any complaints, and reassured Libby that being herself was not a problem.

Not taking her eyes off of the holo-pic, Libby recalled everything that had happened in the past few stardays. After the secret Starland switch was over, she'd started sneaking out of Starling Academy every night, using her charm powers to lure a shooting star towards her, and using that shooting star to go to Wishworld. There, she and Sabrina spent three starhours together, talking about how things were going and visiting various attractions around Paris. Libby's favourite was Place Des Vosges because of its merry-go-round, and she could tell by the way Sabrina cheered and laughed every time they were riding on it that it was her favourite too.

Libby turned off her Star Zap, moving her gaze to the floor. It wasn't like she could just tell her friends that their annoyed reactions were hurting her feelings. There were many possible outcomes in store for them if she were to do that, but she had a feeling none of them were what she was looking for. Then again, if she didn't do something—and soon—then most of her friendships would probably fall apart.

Standing up, Libby decided she couldn't think this through on her own. She needed someone to talk to; someone who understood her enough to understand the situation. And she knew just who that person was.

M'lady, you're purrfect. M'lady, you're purrfect. M'lady, you're purrfect.

Sabrina yawned and turned off her alarm. Perhaps it seemed weird that a recording she happened to film of Cat Noir flirting with Ladybug was her phone's ringtone, but at least it was better than her old ringtone. Her old one had been a recording of Chloe saying, "Hurry up, Sabrina," and ever since last week, she'd decided any ringtone was better than that one. Someday she was going to get a more typical ringtone, but for now she would just have to roll with the "purrfect one."

It was midnight when Sabrina's alarm went off, but once she heard it, she jumped out of bed and quickly got dressed into her daytime clothes. Libby would be on her way to visit her in twenty minutes, and the faster she got ready, the more time they'd be able to spend together.

After she put on her glasses, Sabrina opened her bedside table drawer and peered inside of it. Her Power Crystal was still sitting there, shimmering, sparkling, and glowing in the dark as always. It was thanks to it that she and Libby were still BFFs, and every night, just before the pink Starling arrived, Sabrina couldn't resist opening her drawer to admire the precious stone. Sometimes she wondered if one day she'd have to activate it again—the last time she had, it had been an experience unlike any other.

Sabrina quietly closed the drawer, and two seconds later, she shielded her eyes as a bright shooting star flew in through her window. Libby, now in her Wishling form, walked out of the shooting star, folded it up, and placed it in the backpack she was wearing so she could use it to get back home later. Immediately, the girls rushed up and hugged each other.

"Star greetings," said Libby.

"You too," replied Sabrina. They released each other, and after sneaking outside through the window, they walked to Place Des Vosges for another ride on its merry-go-round.

As they walked, Sabrina noticed Libby seemed a little distracted. Not happy-distracted, but more sad-distracted. She worriedly asked her what was wrong.

Libby stared at the pavement. "You…you still like me, right?"

"Of course I do, Libby! I've always liked you."

"Even though I talk so much about pink, shoes, boys, and parties?"

Sabrina stopped walking, now realizing exactly where this was going. "This has something to do with your friends not liking it when you do that, doesn't it?"

Libby stopped too, sighing. "It's been driving them more crazy than ever lately. After class today, they all said they were busy doing other stuff, but I could tell not everyone was telling the truth." She winced. "And you wouldn't believe what happened next. Sage arranged a special band meeting in the Luminous Library, and Scarlet, Vega, Leona, and even Clover got to come, but they told me it was just between them. Sage said they were planning a gift for MO-J4, but it was obvious she was lying."

"Who cares if you like different things than the other Star Darlings? Vega's the only one who likes visiting the hedge maze, and Gemma talks all the time, but no one has a problem with that."

"Exactly. They didn't have any trouble accepting their interests, but for me…it's a different story. I just don't understand why it has to be this hard."

"Did you tell them how you feel about this?"

"No. I think it's better if they figure it out on their own. I can't just force them to like what I like…"

Sabrina held Libby's hand. "You were the one who taught me to be honest about how I feel, deep down inside me. I know you'll be able to fix this." When Libby only appeared a little cheered up, Sabrina suggested, "Maybe reciting your mirror mantra will help?"

"Okay," said Libby. She locked eyes with Sabrina, and together they recited, "It's all in the balance. Glimmer and shine!" A warm, comforting feeling spread through both of them, and Libby smiled, thanking her friend.

"I'm always here for you," reassured Sabrina.

The girls made it to Place Des Vosges, where they headed straight for the merry-go-round. They each sat on a wooden horse, and Libby used her powers to make the ride start moving. Music began to play, a pink aura surrounded the ride, and the horses started moving around the merry-go-round, in circles. Sabrina cheered and laughed, and Libby squealed, excitedly throwing her arms into the air.

After the second lap around the ride, Sabrina started up a conversation. "So what else is happening at Starling Academy?"

"We just finished our final exams today, so pretty soon we'll be out of school for the next few starmonths. That's startastic news for all of us, but Vega's more relieved than anyone on campus."

Sabrina chuckled, and then sighed. "I feel bad that I only got to spend a few hours with her, considering the week I spent with you and the rest of the Star Darlings. I mean, I heard a lot about her from you and the other girls, but the only things Vega and I really got to do together was plan out how we were going to switch places, and then fight each other because she got akumatized. Then I helped comfort her after she told us about the wrist brace thing, and that was it."

"I'm sure she feels the same way, Sabrina. But the two of you may never see each other again. If you do, whether anyone likes it or not, the other Star Darlings will find out that your memories never got erased. Then they'll make sure they are erased, and they'll probably take back your Power Crystal too."

"I know, but I still miss them."

Libby nodded. "I know. And I understand. Saying goodbye to a good friend that you know you can't see again is always hard. It happens at the end of every Wish Mission."

They rode the next few laps around the merry-go-round in silence, and then Libby used her powers to deactivate the ride. Feeling a little dizzy, the girls went and sat on a bench together for a few minutes. While they recovered, Libby asked, "So how are things with Chloe?"

"The same way it's always been ever since I ended our friendship. Every time I come into class, she always tries to bribe me into becoming her BFF again. Fancy hats, beautiful dresses, nice shoes, everything. Today she tried giving me a rose pin and saying that if I became friends with her again, she'd also give me two thousand dollars in cash!"

"Moons and stars!"

"I know. I don't think she gets it! This time we're done!"

"Just give her some time to process it," advised Libby, putting her arm around Sabrina's shoulder, "She'll have to come to terms with your decision eventually."

"I'll try to hang in there," said Sabrina, and the two of them shared a hug.

After a while, Sabrina and Libby left the bench and went for a walk around Paris. "But apart from that," Sabrina continued, "everything's good. Yesterday Alya invited me to help her and her friends with a secret mission they've been trying to complete for days. Did you know Marinette has a crush on Adrien just like Chloe does?"

"No way," chuckled Libby, "Does he know yet?"

"No, but Alya thinks that with me on the team now, we should be able to bring the two together by next week. That's when they're hosting the end-of-the-year prom!"

"The end-of-the year prom?"

"It's a special dance party to celebrate school being over soon. There's lights, refreshments, snacks, lounge chairs…it's gonna be so cool, it would remind you of Starland."

Libby smiled. "Starling Academy's hosting a special dance soon too. It's the Shining Star Dance, and it's going to be so much fun! An all-boys school is going to take part in the dance with us, and…I'm so excited…"

Sabrina noticed Libby's expression had adopted a dreamy aspect. "You've got a crush on one of those boys, don't you?"

"I do," admitted Libby. She flipped open her Star Zap and showed Sabrina a picture of a Starling boy. He had short hair that was the same lavender colour as Sage's hair, and a serene smile that reminded Sabrina of Juleka's brother Luka. "That's Ganymede," Libby explained, "I think all boys are super zoomy, but something about him just makes my heart glow!" She sighed longingly, holding her Star Zap to her chest.

"I'm really happy for you, Libby," Sabrina proudly told her, "I hope he dances with you."

Libby smiled, and they hugged each other. As they did, her smile disappeared as the thought of Ganymede reminded her of Sage's "band meeting" today. Sabrina noticed and held her hand. "Just tell them everything you told me. How it hurts that they accepted everyone else's differences, but not yours. They don't have to like what you like. Tell them you're not forcing that on them, but that you still want to be accepted for who you are."

"But what if they don't listen?"

"Libby, they're not like Vivica. Of course they'll listen. You're the sweetest person ever!"

After a moment of silence, Libby sighed, trying to be brave. "Okay…I'll try. We'll see what happens."

They released each other, and then they made their way back to Sabrina's home without another word. Once they got there, Sabrina waved to Libby, and she waved back before taking off on her shooting star.

As Libby made her way back to Starland, she thought about what her BFF had said to her. You were the one who taught me to be honest about how I feel, deep down inside me. I know you'll be able to fix thisJust tell them everything you told me. How it hurts that they accepted everyone else's differences, but not yours. They don't have to like what you like. Tell them you're not forcing that on them, but that you still want to be accepted for who you are.

Sounds simple enough, Libby thought. But as soon as those words drifted into her mind, she shook her head. What am I saying? Of course it's not going to be simple! I've always been the one to stop disagreements, not start them! She sighed. Just do it, okay? If Sabrina, who was in a tougher situation than you're in, can stand up for herself, so can you. It's just like you and the other girls taught her—even crowd pleasers have their own voices.

Her confidence restored, Libby touched down on Starland and managed to sneak back into her dorm room without anyone knowing she'd even left. Just like every night.

And that's it for Chapter 1. How will things go for Sabrina and Libby the next day? We'll have to wait and see…

Libby's predicament in "Optipinkstic" was actually foreshadowed briefly during "Star Perfectionist." I saw the Star Darlings episodes where her friends were annoyed by her "boys/pink/shoes/parties" chatter shortly after watching the episode that inspired me to write the first SD/Miraculous crossover, and I was hoping to write a story focussing on Libby's situation as well ever since. But since there was already Sabrina and Vega's respective developments to focus on, I had to wait until "Star Perfectionist" was finished to do so. That was part of the reason why I left it off on a cliffhanger. The other reason was that it's an SD/Miraculous crossover; I mean, obviously Lady Rancora was going to get involved at some point! So yes, if you saw that cliffhanger, basically you know she's coming back.

That's all I can really say without turning foreshadowing hints into spoilers. But don't worry—what's for sure is that you won't be disappointed. :) See you in the chapter!
