"Lady Catelyn, may I have a word with you?"

Queen Lyanna did her best to keep her voice calm as she approached her good sister-in-law. But it was a difficult task with the rage that boiled right beneath surface. She was a true wolf by nature, no matter her marriage to drunken deer. That was the reason why the last dragon feel for her. The most beautiful man in the world wanted her when he was married to the princess.

Yes, and deer then killed my dearest and claimed me for his bed. And of course, he kept his whores. Not that I want him in my bed. When I learned about it, I went into Sept to pray for the good health of these "whores" for taking this burn of me.

Her sister-in-law, Lady Catelyn turned to her in surprise. The queen was always reserved when she talked to her. Almost as if she was somehow coldly jealous of her. The marriage between King Robert and Queen Lyanna Stark Baratheon remained childless even after seventeen eyers of trying. But everyone knew the fault was with Queen, the King was known for his number of bastard children. One of them lived in the Vale and was born before King Robert married Queen Lyanna. Some people whispered that Queen is childless because unworthy prince Rhaegar raped her so much, he destroys her inner parts. King himself seemed to believe this and kept talking about his wish to kill prince Rhaegar again. And then again. This passionate declaration of love was small comfort for Lyanna. Her eyes were always daggers, but never so much as in this moment. The queen looked like a wolf that is ready to tear someone's throat. Once the beautiful face of the brave beauty was tired by years of war and the whole situation with dragons. Lyanna's face was full of wrinkles. Some thought it was because of the king's infidelities. Other than that because of the torture she experienced under the claws of dragons.

No one would have ever guessed that she was a woman who had lost her beloved husband. A mother who had to give up her only son for his safety. She couldn't even leave him the name his father had given him. The dragon blood was passed off as a bastard from the North. In helpless dreams, she hugged the child she could noise. During the day she dreamed of her son growing up in the north, and waited for the night when he would appear in her memories again. She thought about him every day, every minute, every second. She was suffering in herself, and the man lying on top of her who had killed his father.

"Yes, my queen." Catelyn was a lady with every part of her being. She immediately gave her sister-in-law, the queen, an elegant bow. Lyanna ignored her politeness and walked up to her with a sharp look on her face. Catelyn saw her younger daughter Arya in her for a moment. Both had the wild nature of wolves. The Hot blood of the wolves that Brandon also had.

Anyway, Catelyn tried to be polite, "I am so sorry because the time of your leaving came. I know, King said you, and the entire court will leave within a week. I will miss you, as much as my husband and my daughters with Bran. But I understand,"

She stooped in her sentence and the pleasant smile that had begun to form on her face fell. Even after so many years, living in King's landing did not break the nature of the she-wolf, and Lyanna hadn't been able to hide her furious anger as much as she had hoped. As much as anyone hoped. But mostly her older brother Ned.

"My brother told me about your plans for the future of my," only son, thought Lyanna, my only happiness in this world, the only thing the love of my life left me with, " nephew Jon Snow. Tell me, what do you know about this?"

Once again, Catelyn frowned at the custom of the name. She noticed that the queen Lyanna has been spending more time with bastard Jon Snow than with her children. Even Lyanna, the bastard Jon Snow and her daughter Arya went hunting against her wishes. It was Sansa who told her about this. Her daughter wondered why has her half-brother a higher place in eyes of their royal aunt. Catelyn wanted to speak with Ned about this. The queen was meant to prepare her daughters for marriage after all. She had to be sure of her judgment.

"If you are talking about him and the Night's Watch. Then You heard a right, my queen. Ned and I decided this would be for the best. And this was after the boy's request, he decided on his own. He is indeed young, but your brother and his uncle Benjen will be there for him. Jon Snow could be for him a child, he never had and..." suddenly Catelyn couldn't continue. The look the queen gave her was like pure ice, stabbing her heart. Her face was the face of the Wall.

"Is that so? Because when I spoke to your master Luwin this morning, he told me you didn't want my nephew in this castle after my brother leaves. May I ask what my nephew Jon did to be denied a staying in the castle of his ancestors? What could such a young boy do to upset you so much ?" her voice became sharper than the coldest winds of the winter.

Catelyn seemed to be unprepared for these questions. She didn't think, she will have to explain herself in this matter. For her matter for closed. The boy will leave and her children, and their future children will be safe from his possible influence. Judging by her now worried expression, she now understood what Queen Lyanna was getting at. Of course, Lyanna already knew the answers to her questions.

"My queen, this decision is for the best. For the good of the North, my children, and even that bastard boy,"

"That "bastard boy" has his name, my lady." the queen said the last two words with venom. Even former queen Elia Martel's family wasn't so furious after price Rhaegar called his own children bastards. She lowered her head and left with shame with her "bastard" children in her Dornish home.'

"Jon Snow should become the member of the Night's Watch, my queen. This is no place for him. There he will find friendship and brotherhood. Serving in the arms of the Night's Watch is a great honor. It could be a true home for the Snow."

"That's interesting." Queen Lyanna interrupted with a growl, not wanting to listen to any future plans on behalf of her only child. Especially from the blood of the fish. "Because I talked with your children, all of them, including Sansa who as only one calls him a half-brother. They told me that Jon had done nothing, he wasn't supposed to do. He was always obedient to you and was respectful to you or to my brother. The Wardener of the North and the Lord of the Winterfell. All your children love their brother/half-brother. Sansa even said that he was excellent in lessons she gave him about acting toward girls. Are you telling me that all of your children are lying? Or is the problem much simpler? Maybe because he is a bastard?" The Queen seemed to be having trouble getting the last word out.

Catelyn didn't seem to be able to come up with a reasonable explanation for that, not without insulting her queen's intelligence, which she was wise enough not to do.

Queen Lyanna just stood for a while. After a few moments of silence, she made two small steps in front of her good sister-in-law. She moved with the hardness of the bear, with the ruthlessness of the wolf and fire of the dragon. When she was close enough to Lady of the Winterfell, she looked straight into her soul with her predatory eyes.

"Listen to my, my lady. We both know what Night's Watch is like. Once it may have been a noble cause to fight for. But in these times, it is the place for the thieves, murderers, and criminals of the Realm. Men choose this life after they are given choice between service and execution. And I am not talking about the dangers of the Wildlings. And don't start with the reasoning of my brother Benjen. Benjen decided to join the Watch when he was an adult man. Jon is just the boy." Lyanna's voice grew sharper and louder. She had to calm down.

Perhaps the wife of her brother hadn't treated her son unjustly out of spitefulness, but rather just seen things that hadn't been there. Lyanna didn't know, nor did she care. Intentional or not, she was not going to let it ruin her son's life. Not even endangering his life more than it already was because of her husband's every breath.

Catelyn was shocked by the queen's outburst. Not many people dared talk to her like this in years. There was an awkward silence between them for a few seconds before the lady of the Winterfell spoke again.

"My lady, this was a wish of your nephew. It's true, I don't wish him to stay here, but it was his own decision."

"No! Not anymore, it isn't!" Lyanna snarled, losing her calm for a second. Under her ice was the fury of the thousands of suns." As the Queen of the Seven Kingdoms and as his aunt, I don't believe this is in the best interest of Jon, or the best interest of this Realm."

Catelyn didn't understand. She thought the queen Lyanna would be on her side. After all, she suffered so much because of the bastards of the King. There could be no greater disgrace for a woman than the fact that she is barren.

"My queen, what does this have to do with our Realm? This is the matter of one bastard boy,"

"I already told you to call him by his name! And for someone so worried about the future, you should consider this. Do you know how many enemies our House has? Especially behind the Wall. My brothers told me everything. The wildlings know about us more than you know. Blood of Stars could be used against Lord of the Winterfell or the Lord Commander. Any weak spot in hands of the enemies could weaken us. It is for the best for Jon to stay here. You are not the mistress of this castle after court and your husband leave. Your son Robb is. And he already told me that he wishes for Jon to stay. So the current Lord of the Winterfell wishes him to stay, the future Lord of the Winterfell wishes him to stay, and I as the queen of the Seven Kingdoms wish him to stay. Is your pride or our words and authority worth more?"

I have made many mistakes with terrible consequences. My father and brother paid a prize for them. But my son Jon, named by his father Aegon, is not one of them He is the best thing in my life. He made him bearable. When I got news about the death of my love. Everything turned black, it was a wonder, I didn't miscarriage my son. But then he was born and I saw him. And he saw me. And he knew, he knew he belongs to me. Ned knew it too. I am his mother. When I took him into my arms my nightmares ended.

Lyanna knew, she couldn't say it out loud. She, her brother, and her son would lose their heads.

Catelyn had no words. Some words need to be said.

"Jon Snow should stay then." For a moment Lyanna smiled, but it was very faintly. Then her face became serious again.

The queen turned to leave to God's woods. Suddenly, she stopped her departure.

"I will have more words about this matter with my brother. Prepare your daughters and Bran for their time in King's landing."

She was about to leave but she stopped. The queen looked over her shoulder. She seemed more tired than before.

"I know this is not easy for your, lady Catelyn. I know you never hurt Jon. He told me, you were respectful to him as much as you could. It's maybe not fair that you have to pay for the sins of Jon's parents. But those were their sins. Not his."

Catelyn had no answer for that. What could be possibly said after this conversation?
