A/N: Lol! I found this half written, never published drabble in my laptop. Not sure if people still read vampire fics though. Let me know if I should post this! :)
Summary: The new law has just been passed in our vampire world which says only the married couples are allowed to keep a child. I was turned into a vampire a few months ago, and yes, the father of my child is a vampire. But the problem is, he thinks someone else is his soulmate.

"I don't even know who the father is," I lied.
What was the point of telling the truth? He didn't want to do anything with me anyway.
"Then your girl has to die, dear," Jane said with a smile which sent a chill down my spine.
"The law has been passed, my dear Bella," Aro said, "And nobody is above the law in our world."
I couldn't possibly lose Carlie. She was the center of my universe, and the only person left in my world. I'd die if anything happened to her.
Should I go and talk to Edward? I wasn't sure. My life had turned upside down in these last few months, and I wasn't sure if there was any need to do the same with him.
And there was a possibility that he might refuse to accept Carlie as his daughter.
But I had to try... for our daughter's sake.
"I hope you overcome your fears and hesitation, and go and talk to your daughter's father," Aro smiled, "For your daughter's sake."
"You should know that it really hurts me when someone doesn't understand our laws and we need to kill them due to that," he continued, "I don't want to do that with Carlie. After all, she's just a child!"
