Okay, so I'm obsessed with the whole Danny joining the family dynamic as Bobby's son and Sam and Dean's baby brother.
A few points before we begin:
This is purely for my own enjoyment. There will be some angst but not too much. Just enough for a tragic backstory; a trip to hell for dean; and family bonding :)
FUCK Jack and Maddie Fenton. In the show, they are pretty ok, but here they are A+ assholes with no parenting skills.
Jazz, Sam, and Tucker will not appear. This is the angst :(
I'm making Danny a little younger, like 11 or 12, so the protective feels can really show in Sam, Dean, and Bobby. What can I say? I'm a sucker for a healthy family dynamic.
That should be everything, so strap in and get ready for whatever word vomit my brain happens to throw up ;)
There was a small body floating in the ghost zone. He had been there for 3 days, drifting in the astral winds. Clockwork watched the boy, Danny, as he drifted and couldn't help but sigh. The boy had closed himself off, drifting aimlessly in the Zone, as if that would change what had happened.
Vlad Masters had actually been the one to draw Clockwork's attention to Danny's still form. Concern for his godchild and revulsion for the woman he loved was still twisting Vlad up inside.
"I can't face him, Clockwork. He needs something I can't give now."
"Don't you want the boy to be your son? Is this not the perfect moment for you?"
"I can't. I-I need time… to process. Maddie changed, and I can't… Please."
That had been 2 days ago, and Danny still hadn't moved. Clockwork floated nearer, "Daniel."
Danny flinched.
"Daniel."
Nothing.
"Dan-"
"What, Clockwork?" Danny's head snapped to the side. Somehow, you could tell he was tired, even in his ghost form. His green eyes glowed a sickly, radiation green instead of the bright neon Clockwork was so used to.
"It is simple, Daniel. You need to leave the zone." Daniel stiffened, eyes flashing, preparing to argue. Clockwork cut him off.
"You are 11 years old; you deserve to live at least partly. I ask you to return to earth and find a new purpose outside of Amity Park."
Danny scoffed, but this was good. He was angry, and that was better than nothing.
"I lost my purpose, my parents want my head on a pike, and you want me to return there? No! Just-just no. I-I can't."
"Try. You want to go back. Look where you are."
Danny stared at Clockwork before finally looking around. A few meters below him was a swirling green portal. Danny could feel the energy calling him back to earth, back home. But home wasn't home anymore.
Danny rounded on Clockwork, "Alright, fine, maybe…maybe I want to go back, but where exactly can I go? I'm alone, and I'm not safe anywhere, and I-I ca-n't go-go home."
Danny was crying. The ugly kind of crying with big fat tears and a snotty nose with no sign of stopping.
"Daniel, breathe...In and Out, count with me. 1,2…" Slowly, Danny's sobs became hiccups, and he seemed to somewhat refocus on Clockwork, "Give humanity one more chance, Daniel. Go down, try for me; you never know what you may find. Just try. One more time."
Danny barely heard him. He was already drifting towards the portal. He might have been half-dead, but he was also half-alive. He missed people, real, living, breathing people. Clockwork smiled sadly before the portal flashed, and Danny was gone.
