"We are in position,"

Lucario radios to Wen on comms outside the Senate building on Coruscant.

"Good work Arran," Wen responds, "Await my signal,"

Kyreen kneels down next to Lucario, "And you've settled on that name, Arran, right?" she asks.

"I've chosen Arran as my name to honor my ancestor's master, Aaron." Arran says.

"How, noble?" Kyreen responds.

"Indeed," Arran replies.

Kyreen laughs and looks back through her binoculars at the building.

"Psssht," Kay whispers next to Wen on the other side of the high rise.

"Yes?" He responds with his eyes fixed in binoculars watching the Senate building.

"Are you gonna use Treecko?" she asks.

"Why would I use Treecko?"

"Cause he wants to be used!"

"I don't need Treecko for this job,"

"Well he's never gonna evolve into Grovyle or Sceptile with that attitude,"

"Well maybe, he's just being patient," Wen continues, "Unlike you,"

"Uh huh," she says.

A massive explosion then rocks the building sending many senators in a frenzy.

"When did you send the signal???" Kay asks

"Why don't you ask Treecko," Wen says as he slips on his trooper helmet, "Let's go,"

As senators rush to escape the building, Wen, Kyreen and Kay join the troopers who are attempting to move the senators in an orderly fashion.

"Right this way sir,"

"Thank you so much, that was certainly nerve-wracking!" Mas Amedda exclaims "But it seems as if everyone is heade - "

He never finishes that sentence as he's knocked out. Kay removes her helmet.

"Do you think that was too harsh?"

"No," replies Wen. "Load him up," Kyreen brings the ship over to them. "I have a message for the Jedi,"

"We're still the good guys right?" Kay asks.

"Try not to overthink it," Kyreen responds dryly.

The Jedi Council discuss who should investigate the bombing who may have kidnapped Mas Amedda.

"No need, I'm right here," a voice says behind them.

The Jedi quickly ready their lightsabers as Wen walks into the room.

"Hey, it's gonna be really difficult for me to tell you where Mas Amedda is if I'm dead. All I ask is for you to hear me out, and then I'll tell you where he is,"

"I've got a better idea," Kit Fisto remarks and steps close to Wen, "You will tell us where Mas Amedda is and who hired you," Fisto whispers while waving his hand.

"I will tell you where Mas Amedda is..." Wen responds, "Right after you hear me out. Believe it or not, I'm actually trying to save all of your lives,"

Obi-Wan asks, "Well for starters, who are you?"

"My name is Wen Bane, at your service," Wen replies with a slightly self-righteous bow.

The Jedi begin to murmur amongst themselves.

"Yes, yes I'm a Duros, my last name is Bane... Cad Bane is my uncle,"

The Jedi all reach for their lightsabers and Wen quickly puts his hands up.

"I know, I know, he's a prick and he fought you guys like a lot. But I'm not him! And attacking me instead of listening to me won't get you the senator's location,"

Mace Windu points his purple lightsaber straight at Wen, "Talk quickly, Duros,"

Wen Bane asks them, "Do you remember a certain trooper known as Tup?"

The Jedi exchange uneasy glances.

"You know, the one who malfunctioned and killed a Jedi?"

"Well aware, we are," Yoda informs him through the holoprojector.

"You ever wonder why?" Wen continues.

"We conducted a thorough investigation, but I'm sure you're dying to enlighten us," Obi-Wan replies sarcastically.

"He killed her because there really is a plot out there to use the Grand Army of the Republic to wipe out the Jedi Order,"

The Council quietly murmur again.

"And what evidence do you have of this?" Plo Koon asks him.

"Well, I'm the one who kidnapped Kix, a trooper who was in the 501st with Tup and Fives," Wen states. "He figured out there was a chip in the head of every clone that's gonna cause them to kill the Jedi,"

"You're one of the Separatists!" Ki Al Mundi exclaims.

"Okay, just because I am Cad Bane's nephew, does not me - ,"

Before he can respond, three different Jedi rush him. Wen barely has time to retrieve his Darksaber and parry the blows. Suddenly, different versions of Wen appear in various spots around the meeting room, confusing the Jedi. When two of the Jedi try to do Force push on the copies, the copies simply dissipate. Suddenly those Jedi are telekinetically pushed into the wall. Plo Koon methodically swings at the illusory copies until one standing right behind him, kicks him with a flaming leg that seems to come from his rocket boot.

Mace Windu holds up his hand and freezes everyone.

"How did you do that?" Anakin Skywalker demands. "I get no sense that you know the ways of the Force,"

"There's powers in your world now that you can't even fathom yet. And I'm going to use them to help you get ahead of your own demise." Wen responds.

"Proposing, what are you?" Yoda asks. through the holoprojector.

"Since Kaminoans are in on this, you can't march in there and shut this thing down, because they'll alert Sidious to call the order sooner. My team and I will infiltrate the facility and send out a signal to disable the chip in the troopers' heads. When the Order is issued, you'll be safe,"

"And you'll do this all for us... out of the kindness of your heart?" Mace asks.

"I'll do all of this for you for exactly one million credits," Wen responds.

Many Jedi roll their eyes. "Why should we trust you?" Obi-Wan asks.

"I don't think you have to. My uncle taught me that money doesn't just talk, it tells the truth. And maybe if you guys considered hiring him, he'd have been an ally instead of a constant enemy," Wen reasons. "And you're likely thinking, what if someone is paying me more to betray you? My services go to the highest bidder. Right now, that's you. Plus most of you will die or be forced to go into permanent exile when your deaths are ordered. So hiring me doesn't seem like that a terrible of an alternative,"

Silence grips the room. Kit Fisto exclaims. "This is ridiculous, he's the nephew of a NOTORIOUS bounty hunter who's killed countless comrades of ours. And he still hasn't told us where Mas Amedda is, we cannot POSSIBLY trust him,"

"Mas Amedda is right there," Wen gestures to a chair on the corner and Zoroark's illusion wears off, revealing a very anxious Amedda. Suddenly, where Wen was standing dissipates in black smoke, revealing Lucario was pretending to be him the whole time. Outside the building, Wen's ship rises with him standing on top. "Like I said, powers you can't even fathom," he says. Lucario instantly uses Extremespeed and brings Zoroark back to the ship.

"I need 4 clone troopers to assist me on Kamino, have them meet at these coordinates tonight. If you send them, I'll know you're in." He continues, "In this situation, your lives mean infinitely more than your pride. And to me, they're worth exactly one million credits,"

Wen Bane then pulls off in his ship with his crew.

"This is a nuisance," Arran says as he rips off his voice collar.

"Well it worked like a charm," Wen says. "Especially the embedded microphone, no feedback,"

"You guys were fantastic," Kyreen says to Zoroark and Arran.

"Bone Rush, Psychic Double Team and Blaze Kick? Very clever!" Kay chimes in.

"Are we headed to Kamino now?" Kyreen asks.

"We got one more stop to make," Wen reponds.

Once Wen leaves, the Jedi begin discussing his proposal.

"No." Mace Windu quickly asserts. "He's greedy, he's a terrorist and he's shady. We've never heard of him before, and all we know about him is he kidnapped a clone trooper. This is a scheme to lead us into a trap,"

"And he wields the Darksaber? But that creature was also casting some kind of illusion? It's hard to know what's fact and fiction here," Plo Koon muses.

Ki Al Mundi chimes in, "The report from Liciali Ti and Foo-Qwaun Fisto seems to indicate these may be some of those new 'Pokemon' creatures. However, we know almost nothing about them so we cannot just take this bounty hunter's word for it,"

"I understand your trepidation, Masters Windu, Ploon and Mundi," Obi-Wan replies. He then turns to address the full council. "But ever since I fought Jango Fett on Kamino, I've had... suspicions that not all is as it seems over there. Whether or not his remarks are true, one thing is for certain - there is a dark force out there, playing us. And I am tired of being outsmarted. In addition, Liciali and Foo-Qwaun reported that this Wen Bane was the one fighting Grievous when they intervened. So he's not a Separatist. Based on the circumstances surrounding Tup, Fives and Kix there's enough evidence to know the Jedi are in danger if we do not address this. If the Separatists have a way to turn our army against us, they'll have an overwhelming advantage. The Jedi along with the Republic will fall. I do not wish to see that happen,"

"Valid reasonings, all of you have made." Yoda states. "However, outweigh the risks, the potential benefits to this course of action does,"

"Since you're so sure of this plan of his, Obi-Wan, you will watch him from afar and report back to us." Mace Windu instructs. "Keep your distance though. If he's right, we don't want the Sith Lord to sense your presence around him."

"So then who will go to arrest Grievous on Utapau?" Kenobi asks.

"The Chancellor did ask me to - ,"

Anakin starts but is quickly cut off by Ki Al Mundi saying, "I will go to arrest Grievous,"

"Pick out your own squadron for this assignment, you will Master Kenobi." Yoda continues. "Choose wisely. May the Force be with you,"

In his chambers, a troubled expression briefly comes over Palpatine's face, as if he senses some kind of disturbance. He pushes the notion aside as he welcomes Anakin Skywalker into his office and asks, "What's troubling you?"

"Belinda! How are you girl?" Wen asks after their ship lands in a shady section of Coruscant. His greeting is met with a swift slap across his face.

"What the hell are you doing here???" Belinda, the oversized Twi'lek responds.

"Lovely to see you too, Belinda,"

"I never should have taken that bounty off your slimy, weasley head," she retorts.

"Uh, what's going on?" Kyreen asks.

"Well, uh, I did a job with Belinda's sister here that didn't go as planned..."

"You owe me 25K credits, you filthy piece of @#$%!!!" Belinda shouts in a rage.

"But we came to an agreement so she'd take the bounty off my head, and uh, that also didn't really go as planned," Wen says.

"Oh?" Kyreen suggests.

"No... uh not like that," Wen says as he tiptoes around Belinda's residence, dodging various items she hurls at him.

"I agreed to take off the bounty in exchange for a nice dinner this BILGE RAT was supposed to take me too!"

Kay and Kyreen both stare at Wen.

"Don't give me that, it's a hard life out here!"

"And this PRICK NEVER showed up, and I had NO MONEY to put another bounty on him!" Belinda continues. She picks up a blaster. "But now I'm gonna put you right back where you belong," she says as the weapon powers up.

"Bulbasaur, use Sleep Powder,"

Belinda suddenly feels her eyes getting heavy and crashes to the floor.

"Um, thanks," Wen says and fixes his jacket.

"Uh huh," Kay says as she returns her Bulbasaur. "So why are we here again?"

"As pleasant as Belinda was, we're here for her sister that I did that job with, Shia," Wen replies. "She's the best hacker on this side of the star system,"

"And she's not free,"

Everyone hears a voice and turns around, seeing a younger female Twi'lek enter the room. "Does this job pay any good?"

"How does one million credits sound?"

Shia walks up real close to Wen. "Pretty big mission for a newbie like yourself. How do I know it's not gonna go south?"

"You know it always does," he says.

Shia laughs and boards the ship with Kyreen and Kay.

"You've made some odd friends over the years," Kay remarks as they take off.

"Bounty hunters don't make 'friends'," Wen replies.

Kay rolls her eyes, "Uh huh, sureee,"

While searching for Maul with Republic Forces on Mandalore, Ahsoka Tano receives a transmission from Obi-Wan.

"Anakin is spying on the Chancellor?" She asks. "And you're going to investigate the case of Tup and Fives on Kamino? I thought that case was closed,"

"Infiltrate might be a better term. I believe this may prevent a huge threat to the Jedi Order. I know he's helping you detain Maul, but there's no clone trooper I trust more with this than Commander Rex. I'm going to need his help,"

Ahsoka nods, "Okay Master Kenobi, just be careful,"

Obi-Wan continues, "Ask Bo-Katan if there's a Nite Owl she can lend us. We could use someone skilled in stealth for this,"

Ahsoka nods again and calls Commander Rex and three other troopers to debrief them with the coordinates. Bo-Katan lends Nite Owl Jebediah to Rex, who appoints another Commander in his stead and takes off for Kamino with the small squad.

"Alright men, we're not sure exactly what's going on. But General Kenobi has put his life on the line for us more than once and we are going to do the same for him,"

Wen's crew meets Rex, Jebediah and three troopers, Rainn, Treevs and Wynn at the rendezvous point on a moon just outside Kamino. He outlines the plan and each of their roles while Arran and Kay man the ship. Treevs, Wynn and Rainn quietly stun the three guards outside a facility entrance and take their place. Wen, Kyreen, Shia and Jebediah enter the facility disguised as clone troopers with Rex leading them.

"Welcome to Kamino Commander Rex. How can I help you?"

"These troopers need to be reconditioned, I need access to a med bay," he says

A Kaminoan nurse leads them to a med bay with a few droids to begin the process. Once inside, Wen and Kyreen incapacitate the nurse and droids. Rex goes into the chamber and Shia uses Wen's intel to locate the inhibitor chip in the trooper to create a disruptive signal.

"There's... there's no wireless component," Shia realizes.

"So?" asks Wen

"So you can't send a signal to something that can't receive it, it's just not possible,"

"What..." Panic sets in for Wen. His face gets flushed, all the confidence he carried into this mission is now gone. Knowing that his failure will likely lead to his death, he sees his life flash before his eyes. "Elite bounty hunter Wen Bane dies on first mission". What a legacy.

The radio on the unconscious Kaminoan nurse starts to go off, asking how the process is going. The team exchange uneasy glances knowing their time will soon be up.

Outside the facility, a hooded figure watches Wen's team enter the facility.
