Once upon a time,

In a place dreamed up by a single thought

There lived a young spirit naive and curious

With a very big problem that made them very distraught

They had slept for so long,

Through the death of trees and the rise of mountains

That right under their nose

Their most precious and dearest memories had gone

Far, far away to a place where the spirit did not yet know

In a frenzy, she searched everywhere

Under the bright trees,

In her strands of hair,

Even in the sleeping monster's lair.

Yet no matter how much searched,

No matter what she did

Her past had disappeared as if it were air

Leaving behind the poor spirit

Much to her despair

And so, the young spirit slouched down next to a broken tower

Her eyes blurry with golden tears,

Which left her mouth tasting sour

"If only I had woken up sooner,"

She said this to no one in particular.

"Perhaps I could've found them."

And then she hung her head in glum

Crunch!,

The noise sounded right next to her ear

The spirit yelped and jumped into the air

In such a quiet place,

It was a surprising thing to hear!

The noise was followed by more interesting noises

Such the as sounds her mouth made when her vocals were strung

The click tapping of the rocks, the sharp whoosh as the air was cut

And a sweet little song, sounding as if a lyre was being strung

The spirit perked up

Her past grievances forgotten in a moment

She swayed through the air

Carefully and quietly

As to not disturb them
