A Few Things

Ninjutsu

All ninjutsu require hand seals. The more powerful jutsu require more hand seals.

Earth Jutsu requires the least chakra to utilize, as earth is everywhere.

Water Jutsu is harder to access and so requires more effort. Water jutsu is best near water.

Wind Jutsu is a bit more difficult, as wind is hard to control and needs to be gathered.

Fire Jutsu requires the making of fire, and is typically used in A-rank Jutsu.

Lightning Jutsu is always S-Rank, as it requires the most chakra and skill to make and utilize.

Taijutsu

Taijutsu is typically used alongside weapons and sometimes ninjutsu. Stamina and chakra control are essential to using taijutsu effectively, as the two influence one another. Chakra control allows a fighter to influence the functions of one's body; such as pain suppression, the flow of blood, pumping adrenaline, etc. Stamina determines how much you can do and for how long you can do something.

Genjutsu

There are different levels of genjutsu; ranging from visual illusions to mind control. It can be split into the five general senses; Sight, Hearing, Touch, Smell, Taste. The most powerful genjutsu manipulates the mind itself, such as Kotoamatsukami.

Chapter One, Home Sweet Home

A dangerous sociopath with no regard for human life…the purest of evil.

"Naruto, right?" Tora Uchiha, a man eerily resembling one Madara Uchiha stands before the boy. His black haramaki armor and spiky black hair shroud his body, the darkness only broken by a tanned face with a right eye covered by a bang. His voice is deep and raspy, tired sounding. The boy looks up at him, unimpressed and unafraid.

"What do you care?" Naruto's voice reflects a hint of sadness that he tries to hide.

He sniffs. "I'm here to take care of you. No one else is gonna do it so I figured I would."

The boy's face shows his confusion. "But, Lord Third…"

Tora cuts him off. "Lord Third's busy. Let's go."

The crowd of civilians watch the two as they pass, whispers are heard and Naruto moves closer to Tora, hoping for some amount of comfort. Tora stares straight ahead, making sure to avoid eye contact with anyone. They eventually end up just outside the Inuzuka compound at a rundown house. The place was clearly neglected; the outside is stained a dark yellow, the shingles of the roof are in a state of disrepair and the door has what looked like burn marks covering half of it. Naruto looks over the place in utter disbelief.

Tora speaks in a neutral tone. "Sorry about the shi-, crappy place, I'm still having it renovated. It was cheap, so I bought it." He weaves a series of hand seals. "Everything works just in case you're wondering." He holds open the door for Naruto, gesturing for him to go in.

Naruto heads into the 'house', looking around. It was bigger than his old place, but still brought him a sense of claustrophobia. The walls are light green and a gray couch sits in the middle of the floor facing a dark oak table. A sliding door stands to the east of the couch and another to the south of it, cracked open.

Tora points to the east door. "That's my room, don't go in there." He gestures to the other. "That's the kitchen. Be careful if you're going to be in there. Might be a few rats."

Naruto sighs and sits on the couch. Tora closes the door, locking it behind him before heading into his room. This was going to be a long day and so Naruto resigns to napping on the couch.

Some time passes and there's a heavy knock at the door. Naruto wakes from his nap, still groggy as he sits up and wipes the sleepiness from his eyes. Tora walks over to the door dressed in all black and grumbling angrily. Naruto watches as he weaves a series of hand seals and opens the door, keeping it mostly closed. Two masked figures in gray armor stand outside.

"Is the boy here?" A voice says, it sounds annoyed.

Tora speaks, his anger obvious. "Yes. Why are you here?"

"Routine inspection." One of them pushes his way into the house, Tora glaring at him. The other strolls in and stands next to Naruto, watching as the first one looks around. Naruto looks up to see the masked man staring back at him, a twinge of fear washing over his body as he feels the hate emanating from behind the mask. The first goes to open the door to Tora's room, stopped by a hand on his arm. Tora stands over him, staring daggers.

The man yanks his hand away. "What, are you hiding something?" The man says accusingly.

"I'm assuming you got what you came here for." Tora puts his hands by his side, his jaw clenched and eyes narrowed. The tension is palpable as the few seconds of silence seem like hours; either one of them waiting for a reason, a provocation, anything at all.

The masked man lets out a 'huh'. "Let's go.", He says as the pair turn to leave. "We'll be reporting this little rebellion of yours to Lord Third."

Tora watches them leave, taking a minute before he closes the door. Naruto watches with a worried expression as Tora rests his head against the door. Three minutes pass before Naruto decides to break the unbearable silence.

"Who were they?"

"ANBU." Tora replies, voice dripping with disgust. "Konoha's secret police." He looks to Naruto and his visage reflects a subtle sadness. "Promise me you'll never join them."

Naruto smiles. "I promise." Tora smiles back, keeping the indistinct sadness.

"What did you want for dinner?" Tora asks, heading into the kitchen.

"Ramen."

"Ramen." Tora whispers. "I have to get some ramen." He heads back into the living room. "I don't have any ramen. You wanna go to Ichiraku?"

Naruto smiles gleefully and the pair head to Ichiraku, where Naruto happily downs multiple bowls of ramen.
