Pure darkness shrouded the void cavern, and distant screeches and cries of void creatures echoed in the humid void cavern. Kai'sa perched on the highest point of the cavern, sitting on a somewhat comfortable structure as she stared blankly at the rocks in front of her.

"Another wishful day", a voice rang inside Kai'sa's head, causing the latter to sigh.

"Well, the void has been your home forever", Kai'sa sarcastically replied to the voice as she glanced at the distant movements of the void creatures. The voice scoffed at the sharp reply from Kai'sa.

"The void is vast, Kai'sa. But you stay in one position for so long that the mysteries of the void are untouched, unexplored", the voice argued.

"Since we share a body now, you don't have any right to protest. Bel'Veth", Kai'sa countered as she revealed the identity of the voice. Bel'veth gave Kai'sa the silent treatment, knowing that the Void Empress could do nothing to refute that fact.

The two remained quiet, deciding that bickering amongst themselves won't do anything to quell their boredom.

Before an unfamiliar crunching sound interrupted the tranquillity.

Kai'sa flicked her attention towards the distant sound, her heightened sense of awareness proved useful for estimating the distance of where the sound came from.

"Looks like today might not be too uneventful after all", Kai'sa said, staring at the distant darkness.

"Is it them again?", Bel'Veth asked. Kai'sa stood up, standing at the edge of her resting spot.

"We'll soon find out", Kai'sa answered, leaping off the edge.

"Are you sure that it's there?", a figure asked as he just realized what lay ahead of their path; a swarm of void creatures of different species lay dormant as if waiting for their arrival, some of them were sleeping whilst others walked around aimlessly, searching for their next meal.

"Yeah, looks like it", the person next to the figure calmly confirmed the whereabouts of their destination. The latter looked closely at the swarm; they circled around the same area for the majority of the time with some leaving further ahead and towards their direction.

'They would've noticed us by now..', he thought to himself, confirming his hypothesis about the current location that they were in. "Bast, we're moving down", he called to his partner whilst preparing for the descent down from the path.

"What? Don't you see what's below you!?", those words seemed to have no effect on his partner as the latter descended down quickly, garnering the attention of the numerous void creatures.

"This! Aswad you fucking idiot!", Bast swore as he descended down the path, following his partner's descent

When the pair hit bottom, they were surrounded by grotesque monstrosities that cornered them against the cliff of their elevated footpath. "What's the plan now genius?", Bast scolded Aswad before unsheathing his blade, preparing for the inevitable.

"We wait", Aswad calmly replied, glaring at the void creatures as the two parties stood their ground, waiting for the other to make their move.

Bast could tell something was off; if these were normal void creatures, they would have been mauled and ripped apart viciously by now. But the creatures stood their ground as if waiting for something to happen;

Something to appear.

A massive shadow suddenly loomed over them, its silhouette covering the entirety of the cave which caused Bast to flick his vision towards the sky as he tried to make out whatever was above them;

The creature above them seemed to be flying around with what seemed like massive wings whilst its huge tail swung around slowly, stabilising the flight of the massive beast as it hovered over them, as if analysing their prey.

Before it descended, sending a massive gust of wind sent the pair flying towards the wall behind them, crashing violently against it whilst the void creatures fled the surroundings. The pair struggled to keep their composure due to the sheer strength of the wind just from the beast descending downwards.

The wind eventually died down once the beast descended fully, leaving the pair exhausted and breathless. The huge shadow loomed over them caused Bast to painfully look up, only to realize the existence of the beast.

"B-Bel'veth?", Bast stuttered from the identity of the beast, he could feel his body giving in from the sheer pressure the beast exerted as it suddenly shrank to become the size of an adult human, which revealed the true identity of the beast.

"Kai'sa", Aswad declared as he kneeled before the beast, causing Bast to do the same out of fear.

"Rise, there is no need for formalities", Kai'sa responded to the pair as they both stood up, Bast looked confused due to the identity of the beast which caused him to look forward; Kai'sa now had two massive wings on her back and a tail, both of which resembled Bel'veth's. She had now lost her previous void cannons that mounted on her shoulders and were being replaced by wings.

"We've come with some peace offerings", Aswad said as he unslung his bag and opened it, revealing the colourful array of fruits that stood before Kai'sa's eyes.

"U-uh, I too have some offerings", Bast added as he revealed the assortment of raw meat that was in his bag, causing Kai'sa to avert her gaze away from the bags to focus on the main topic.

"I told you there was no need for any offerings anymore didn't I?", Kai'sa said, looking at the irresistible assortment of food that was in front of her.

"It has become traditional", Aswad mentioned before reaching into the bag, and pulling out fruit for Kai'sa to view.

"Only the finest quality, of course", Aswad added confidently as he could feel Kai'sa's hesitation slowly disappearing, the latter gently and swiftly grabbing the fruit with her claws. Aswad could feel her gaze through her helmet before it was enveloped in violet light, unveiling her face to eat the fruit.

"H-hey", Bast whispered to his partner, pointing out additional features that were prominent on Kai'sa's face;

Kai'sa had additional teeth running down her cheek that opened with her mouth to bite off a sizeable bit of the fruit. Her long tongue could be seen licking the exposed teeth, cleaning them off of the delicious juices of the fruit.

The two watched as Kai'sa grabbed increasingly more items from the bags, chowing down on the assortment of fruits and meats whilst Aswad and Bast stared. "So, are you going to spill it?", Kai'sa chimed as she licked her teeth.

Aswad quirked his brows in false pretence which made Bast look at his partner. "There isn't a chance that you guys are willing to just risk your lives for traditional, so tell me what you are really here for", Kai'sa added, which made Aswad sigh before finally revealing the truth.

"We've got an interesting company, to say the least", Aswad responded as the device displayed a bright blue screen, showing a fleet hovering above a village.

"Flying ships?", Kai'sa mumbled with a puzzled look on her face, which made Aswad smile slightly.

"A lot of things have changed since you were gone, including flying ships", Aswad confirmed.

Kai'sa could only stare at the hologram in awe before asking another question. "What are they doing in your village?", Kai'sa asked which made the two sigh in response as they broke the news to Kai'sa.

"They are pillaging our resources and forcefully taking over our village and many others, resorting to us hiding", Aswad explained to Kai'sa, the latter paid attention to their stories as they recounted the various events that happened in her absence.

"So you're requesting me to take back the villages lost?", Kai'sa clarified, making the duo nod in agreeance.

"Yes, if that is alright by you", Aswad requested politely before bowing before Kai'sa, which made the latter stare at the duo for a while as she decided whether to help them.

"Very well", Kai'sa declared as she swung her claws in the air, causing the air around them to ripple violently to reveal a purple portal before them. Kai'sa gestured to the duo to walk into the portal, the pair seemed hesitant at first but eventually eased into the idea of walking into the mysterious portal.

Kai'sa waited for the duo to walk into the portal as she observed them from behind. "Hey, are we supposed to enter this without her?", Bast asked his partner whilst he fiddled in his vest, making the latter turn slightly towards Bast to reply.

"Hey, I think you guys left something here", Kai'sa called out to them, causing the pair to stop and turn around.

Before two precisely fired, void bolts hit their throats.

The pair groaned in pain as the impact of the void bolt shattered the device that was on their neck. A soft pop, followed by a bright spark caused the device's hologram in front of their faces to slowly fade away.

Revealing their true identities to Kai'sa.

"S-shit!", the man behind Bast's hologram swore as he pulled out a plasma pistol and fired at Kai'sa, the latter dodged the rapid-fire bullets with ease whilst the pair made a desperate attempt at escaping. Their pathetic attempt at escaping was shut down quickly as Kai'sa suddenly appeared right before them, her claws right on their face as she slammed the two right on the floor.

"I thought something was a little odd about you guys…", Kai'sa said, the threatening undertone of her words serving to dissuade any attempts at escaping from Kai'sa's hold. "Aswad told me all the wonders of the technologies above, how far humanity has come ever since I left", Kai'sa recounted with the two struggling men under her grasp.

"How he would tell me about flying ships, holograms and how they can imitate appearances", Kai'sa snarled, tightening the hold on their faces as groans of pain sounded from the two men underneath the claws of Kai'sa.

"T-they are being h-held in the v-village!", his voice muffled from fear and pain as one of them told Kai'sa. "I see, you wouldn't mind guiding me would you?", Kai'sa asked, garnering a frantic nod from the two men that Kai'sa could feel from beneath her hands.

Kai'sa raised their heads from the ground, dragging their bodies across the rough terrain of the void cavern before spreading her wings.

"Wait for me Aswad", she said as her helmet materialized, protecting her face before flying into the portal.
