It was as normal a day as any other in the once small city of Royal Woods Michigan. Although the last three years had treated the city better and had caused it to begin expanding to a larger capacity, what once started as a simple city project to create more jobs turned far more profitable and implored further expansion relatively quickly. The people of Royal Woods were divided essentially evenly on the change, on one hand it did help the city as a whole, on the other, it seemed like the town was losing heart of what it once was.

At Royal Woods high school, the day had progressed normally like any other. Right now at the football field, several of the team members from the girls' team were practicing on the field, though most of the players remaining seemed to all be in mixed moods. A majority seemed to be in good moods, a practice game had just ended and those that stayed behind were simply working on bettering themselves.

Though off on the side sat in the bleachers was a 17-year-old girl, she had auburn hair tied into a decent length ponytail that went just past her shoulders in length. She was wearing her favorite jacket; it was white with red long sleeves and a bright red 1 on the front left of it. She was pretty bruised and battered at the moment, and looked quite down, nothing short of an aura of depression radiating from her currently.

She was Lynn Loud junior, the 5th eldest in a family of 11 children. Life was a chaotic mess in some regards, school life did little to help that at all either sometimes. Lynn was a huge fan of sports, her body was built pretty great from the last few years of exercise and competition, if there was a sport, she most likely had experience with it in some way, if not actively participated in it regularly, football being one of them.

Right now though, Lynn was just looking like she was more hurt emotionally than physically, her helmet sat on her lap as she stared rather blankly at the other's she called teammates played along the field. The sport loving girl could only recall today's earlier game, it just kept playing on loop in her mind, over and over again.

"Hello? Earth to Lynn?" The voice of a familiar boy snapped the teenage girl out from her hard daze. When Lynn looked to her left, she saw her only brother Lincoln stood there, his buckteeth and white-hair stood out prominently. He was wearing a red shirt with a black ace on the front, with an orange open coat with long black sleeves on top of it. Lincoln was the middle child of the Loud family, as well as the only boy. Growing up with 10 sister's was hard, but he wouldn't trade it for anything, though sometimes he wound up having to play peacekeeper for the many Loud siblings. Lincoln wished that was why he was here though, normally he only came to the football field when an official game against another school was on, today was nothing but practice games between Royal Wood's High's own teams.

"Oh, hey Linc, what are you doing here?" Lynn asked half-heartedly, letting her slightly younger brother take a seat on the bench beside her, the two sat alone in the bleachers. The cool autumn air breezing by them, the sun being mostly covered today and stuck behind a veil of clouds.

"I need a reason to visit my favorite sister?" Lincoln leaned back, trying to break the obvious sorrow that Lynn had surrounding her with a joke, although his comedy skills weren't the best, the sport's loving Loud sure appreciated them far more than Luan's jokes. "One of your teammate's came and told me there had been an accident during your game... I didn't think I'd find you in this good of shape." Lincoln had to confess, he was planning on going straight home after school like normal, though hearing about Lynn being possibly hurt more or less got him to head straight to the football field instead.

"I told them I was fine." Lynn huffed, looking down at the few team members that were currently practicing, not even bothering to try and guess who had done it, she knew it was someone who had long since taken off to get home and ditched post game practice entirely. "I caused an accident Lincoln; I wasn't in one..." She continued, sounding like she wanted to just brush past the whole thing now, yet knew that was probably impossible.

There a moment of silence that filled the air, Lincoln was not sure what to make of that, he had gotten a fair share of injuries from Lynn's rough housing while growing up, even nowadays still, it was too vague to really ignore.

"You don't have to tell me, I just wanted to let you know I was here if you did need me." Lincoln claimed, not wanting to go forcing Lynn to tell him in full detail what transpired against her will. Though one thing the Loud boy did know was that if she went home in a foul mood like this, it would only be a matter of time before most of their family tried to figure out what was wrong. One thing the Loud family was good at, meddling. His sister's nosiness got so bad to the point that it had ruined his last relationship after all.

Though there was silence between the two of the sibling's as they both idly watched the others beginning to pack up and leave the field, time had flown by alright and it was already starting to get later and later. The white-haired boy noticed Lynn holding onto her left wrist with her right hand, he knew why the sports lover was doing it, it was to stop her recent nervous habit from kicking in. Tremors in the hand. Lincoln still remembered when those first started, it gave Lynn a proper scare, though once she found out it was related to nervousness, she was able to overcome it for the most part.

"I slipped, Lincoln." Lynn suddenly broke the silence in the air, the bucktooth boy quirked an eyebrow as he leaned forward trying to get a better look at the auburn-haired girl's face since she seemed hesitant to look at him.

"All I did was slip, and it did... SO much damage, I just..." The teenage girl pointed to the middle section of the football field, her finger beginning to motion towards the right end. "We were playing the boys team for practice; I was supposed to make a mad dash for the end to test my endurance, but three of them were able to out speed me." Lynn began to explain.

Lincoln had trouble believing anyone could be faster than Lynn, then again anyone would lose their speed if you put them in a bunch of football gear and had them training for hours on end.

"One came from my right, I got around him, but the left and middle ones both came at me at once, I tried to charge in between them, but..." Lynn let her arm flop back to its idle spot on the bench. "I slipped..." She sighed. "I wound up sliding and hitting the middle interceptor in the ankle, hard. He screamed so loud. They had to call an ambulance." The girl with the ponytail held her head, looking quite frustrated with herself. The sickening scream of pain she heard that followed the incident up, the angry glares from the other teammates of the victim, it really stuck with her hard.

"Lynn, I'm so sorry, it wasn't your fault though. Like you said, you slipped. I know your coach too, if it was your fault, she would have booted you instantly." Lincoln exclaimed, trying to use logic to assure his sister, though doubted it would really do much. Accidents and injuries were the most common thing in any sport, Lynn especially had a few scars from her own personal experiences, that did not make the pain any better though.

"Let's just get home. It's getting late." Lynn huffed, standing up, she appreciated Lincoln's comfort, it just was a lot to absorb for one day. The young boy did not argue, having an idea come to mind, if there was one skill he had, it was improvising and making plans on the fly after all.

"Sure, but I need to make a stop along the way, don't worry it's on the way." He said, the two leaving the schoolgrounds now after that.

"Seriously Lincoln?" Was all Lynn could say, here she was, sat outside of a small ice cream shop at one of the metal mesh tables with an open umbrella set up overhead. It was a store that had opened up about a year and a half ago, ever since then the Loud family had been more or less regular customers. It also was the primary place Lincoln tended to take his friends or sisters when any were in a bad mood. People tended to cheer up and open up more when given ice cream after all.

"You thought I was gonna just let you go sulk in bed the rest of the day? I know how much you hate that." Lincoln responded as he came over to their table with two ice cream cones, a strawberry one and a chocolate one that had two scoops to it, he gave the chocolate ice cream to his older sister while taking his seat across from her. Lynn took it with little hesitation, one thing all of his sisters were weak for was chocolate.

"You're too nice for your own good sometimes." Lynn couldn't help but to comment, not wasting any time in digging into her frozen treat, taking a large bite out of it, getting some of the chocolate smeared onto her cheek. The white-haired teen always found it cute how ravenous the sporty girl got whenever given her favorite foods.

"I just hate seeing anyone down, that's all." Lincoln replied, trying to enjoy his own ice cream in the meanwhile. It did seem like nothing, though Lynn did have trouble pretending that her only brother had been treating her rather favorably compared to a lot of their many sisters lately, that was how it felt to her. It had gotten to the point he had been calling the auburn-haired girl his favorite sister even, not that she was complaining, it made her warm up whenever hearing him say that, even if she suspected he said it to everyone of their siblings.

"There never is any small damage when I'm involved... I'm starting to think I'm bad luck." Lynn had to confess her thoughts out loud, taking another bite of her chocolate ice cream while trying to relax. But she knew her brother was going to try his best to brighten her day and discover what was on her mind. Upon hearing that, Lincoln could not help but to lightly chuckle.

"Well, we're just a pair of unlucky charms, aren't we?" Lincoln quirked, while it was a joke referring to how he once got accused of being a literal bad luck curse on his siblings, and how it got really bad to a certain point that the situation metaphorically blew up. Lynn wound up cringing upon recollecting that. A lot of the Loud sisters had that reaction when reminded of that incident, while Lincoln made light of it his family had tried making amends for it several times over, yet he insisted there was no problem and would move past it.

"Why are you so nice to me? Considering how many times I've broken your bones; I should be the one you avoid the most..." Lynn sighed out after finishing the last of her ice cream, mostly crunching through the cone in just a few bites. There were a lot of days she had to wonder why her only brother even cared about her, the sporty girl often felt like her only real good trait was her strength.

"Same reason you're nice to me I imagine." The bucktooth boy said after finishing his own sweet treat, she only felt confused by that answer. By now the sun was getting closer and closer to setting, the time on his watch reading 6pm, the sky was beginning to be lit ablaze in a bright orange by it. "You ready to get on home?" Lincoln offered to his older sister; Lynn felt a small smile form on her face as she stood up with a nod, the two beginning to leave the ice cream shop to head home.

The two had been mostly taking their usual route, though at certain points they would deviate and take shortcuts to get through faster. It was pretty normal for the two of them, they filled the time of their walk with talking, just minding their own business really, the white-haired boy trying to just distract his sibling from the bad day she had.

The two were unaware of just how much the location they were in had changed recently though, Lynn had gotten a few steps ahead of her brother, mostly from her trying to burn off a little extra energy by running some. The Loud siblings were in a back alley, several shops being strung next to one another that made for a good shortcut to get through. Yet when she turned around, she noticed Lincoln was not near her anymore despite the fact he was a moment ago.

"Huh? Lincoln?" Lynn looked around in confusion, she saw nothing there other than some trash cans, a thrown away old slightly dented metal bat that looked like it had been left there for years, the rest of the trash laying around did not seem too odd. That was when she noticed two men stepping out from around the corner, they looked like rough types, both of them being a head taller than her.

"Hey, kid. You know this is our turf, right?" One of them asked, his gravelly voice did little to intimidate her. "Yeah, you come through here ya gotta pay the toll." The other man gave a grin, his teeth looking like they were half rotten and falling apart. That was when Lynn did take notice of a third man, who had Lincoln up against a wall just before the turn into the alley, holding the Loud boy up by the shirt.

"W-Whoa whoa, we aren't looking for trouble we just were trying to get home..." Lynn tried to defuse the situation, despite the fact her own fuse was already close to burning past its limit already.

"Yeah, that's why we're asking for your wallet. Now won't ya be nice and hand it over?" The first man stepped to Lynn, she sighed knowing there was not any other way out of this, sure she could run but that meant leaving Lincoln alone with the troublemakers. She really had a hard time making out what these men were though, their clothes seemed strange and they certainly didn't look strapped for cash. Maybe just wannabe gangsters trying to stake their claim somewhere?

"Okay, okay." The auburn-haired girl reached into her back pocket, taking out a small wallet that looked rather unnoticeable. She threw it onto the ground between herself and the man, acting like a spiteful child. Lynn saw the man scoff as he bent down to pick it up.

"Craig, WATCH OUT!" The second man screamed when seeing Lynn reel her right leg back, and swung as hard as she could while the man was bent over, kicking him straight in the face with her shoe clad foot. The sound of crunching cartilage and blood splattering from the obvious nose break was music to her ears.

"Gah! My friggin nose! You little cunt!" The man cried while rolling on the ground, grabbing at his blood covered face in agony. Lincoln and the man that had initially been mugging him both were staring in surprise, though the white-haired boy was the only one with a smile on his face.

"Get over here you little runt!" The second man ran up, kicking his left leg straight forward in an attempt to give Lynn a taste of her own medicine, she took the hit to her chest and wrapped her arms around his leg. Lynn had a toothy grin on her face.

"Thanks for the present!" She shoved forward, knocking the man off balance and onto his back, before he could get up Lynn was suddenly on top of him, giving one hook after another to the thug's face. Each hit sounded worse than the last, the crook was powerless to do anything due to just how ruthless the sports loving girl was.

"You go, Lynn!" Lincoln cheered, only to feel a punch hit his own face that left a nasty bruise.

"Shut up brat! Hey! You better knock it off, or else!" The third man shouted, putting his left hand around Lincoln's throat, that was enough to get Lynn to freeze in place and pause mid rampage, feeling a terror swelling in her heart at the mere sight of this. What could she do? It felt like the world froze at that moment, Lincoln tried to say something, but his words were choked out since he barely was getting any air.

Lynn suddenly felt a sharp heavy blunt object crash into the back of her head, hard enough that it knocked her clean off the man she had been brutalizing. The Loud girl lay there, her ears were ringing and everything was spinning. She felt a warm dampness on her head. When Lynn reached up and felt it, she looked at her hand seeing blood. She rolled over onto her side, only to see the man with the broken nose holding the once discarded bat, her movement was greeted by another hard hit to the side of her skull that was hard enough to knock her clean to the ground.

"Dang kid... I'll give'er credit, never seen one fight back before." The broken-nosed man grinned, throwing the blood stained bat off to the side and beginning to help his friend back to his own feet.

"Lynn...!" Lincoln coughed, feeling a knee get slammed into his stomach hard enough to knock what little air he had gotten back out of him, the hand on his throat released and let the bucktooth teen fall to the ground, Lincoln felt his watch get snapped off of his hand. His wallet being taken a moment after.

"Heh, why don't you hand over your phone too boy? Do that and we'll get out of your hair." The third man offered, Lincoln hesitantly reached into his back pocket and took out his cell phone, gripping it tightly in his hand.

"Get them away from her..." Lincoln coughed, seeing the other two men that Lynn had been fighting before now just toying with her unconscious body, kicking her while she was down and hitting her out of petty revenge. The middle Loud child felt a swift kick to his own ribs in response to that, the man crouching down beside him.

"You think you're in any position for bargaining? Hell, it's only fair she gets what she has comin' to her... Maybe we'll take something else from her to make up for the damage she caused." The uninjured man said, reaching down and yanking the cell phone out from Lincoln's hand. The Loud boy watched as the man opened his wallet to count how much money was inside, distracted the teenage boy decided to take his chance.

"Agh! What the hell?!" The man screamed in surprise pain when a jolt of sharp agony broke out through his leg, when he looked down, he saw Lincoln was biting his leg, really hard too, those buckteeth digging in deep.

"Let go! Let go!" He screamed while beginning to punch down, Lincoln refused to let go despite feeling each subsequent blow to his head. This was enough to attract the other two men's attentions, it drew them off of Lynn's limp body pretty perfectly, now the three of them were deciding to take their anger out on Lincoln instead.

Lynn began to come to only moments later, her head was killing her and she noticed her head resting in a small puddle of blood. By now the wound on her head had worsened and was bleeding profusely at this point, half her face being covered red. She could hear Lincoln crying out in pain, she saw he was on the ground practically curled up trying to protect his head from the three men assaulting him.

Lynn felt her vision being tinted red, she saw the bat laid on the ground, grabbing it and using it to help herself to her feet. The auburn-haired girl felt her heart racing, her breathing was ragged, Lynn was not even aware that she had a disturbing grin on her face, she made a mad dash right for their assailants her grip tightened entirely as she pulled back her weapon.

Beeping, that beeping. That was the first sound Lynn registered, the teenage girl's eyes were closed, her entire body felt sore and she had to force her eyelids to open up. Lynn was confused though, she noticed her environment was completely different now, she was sat in a hospital bed hooked up to an IV and pulse monitor. The sport loving Loud looked around in confusion, the room was empty yet she could see what she assumed was the normal everyday activities of the hospital through the open glass.

"This is... The I.C.U.?" Lynn muttered, it looked like the intensive care unit to her, she recognized it pretty easily from several of her own sport related injuries of the past.

"Ghk!" Lynn cringed from the movement, her body suddenly went from sore to agonizing, her head especially. The teenager saw her belongings sat in a nearby chair in a clear bag, the aspiring sport star grabbed the bag, digging through it quickly to take out her cell phone and turning on the front facing camera to act as a makeshift mirror.

"Oh gosh..." Lynn could see her face now, it was pretty battered up, nothing too unusual given her hobbies, yet the bandaging wrapped around her head was new. She only just noticed this now too but her hands and arms looked even worse than they did prior, it confused her further. Lynn could see dozens of text messages from her whole family, and the time, it read 8:34pm.

"What happened to me? I was beating up that guy and..." Lynn tried to recall; everything was blank though. One second, she was beating up someone that tried to mug her and Lincoln, then there was nothing but one giant missing gap in her memory.

"You're awake." An older voice caught Lynn's attention, when she looked up, she could see a doctor standing there. Obviously having been called in when it was reported that the Loud girl was awake again. "I'm Doctor Brike. Do you know where you are?" Doctor Brike introduced himself while coming over, looking over Lynn's status currently.

"Royal Woods General Emergency, right?" Lynn answered, trying to relax yet she couldn't, she had a million questions, though knew if she did not play along with tests and refused to answer the queries, it would just drag out everything that much longer. Lynn had learnt that a hundred times in her life, half the time her family had to convince her to get medical help for real after all.

"Correct, to be honest I figured you'd be out until tomorrow. Visiting hours ended twenty minutes ago though, sorry about that." The doctor apologized; it was evident that the Loud family had been here in nearly its entirety. Normally the medical staff would not care about family being with family and would turn a blind eye to it, though they had to draw a line at such a large group. Especially if they deemed it to be for the patient's health, and the Loud family had been to the hospital enough to be known to the staff at this point.

"Can you tell me where Lincoln is?" Lynn requested, not able to hide her worry.

"Oh, your brother? He's down the hall, he got off lucky compared to you, but we decided to admit him for the night to be safe." Brike explained, he immediately regretted answering at all when he saw Lynn trying to get out of her hospital bed.

"No no no, wait." The doctor tried to stop her, but when Lynn stood up, she could only feel a shockwave of agony shoot through her entire lower body as she collapsed onto her knees instantly. Lynn had to bite her lip to suppress a painful cry. The doctor wasted no time helping her back up and onto the bed.

"You can't overstress your body, especially with how banged up you are. The only reason it doesn't feel like hell right now is because of the painkillers." Brike scolded Lynn, the auburn-haired girl reached down wanting to look at her legs, sure enough when she finally got to see them that did little to help her already disheartened spirit. Her legs had three large cuts across them, two on the left and one on the right, that was not even counting all the bruises.

"What happened to me?! I don't remember any of these happening!" Lynn began to panic, her heartrate picking up on the monitor, her head felt like it was going to explode subsequently too.

"Minor memory loss? Not the biggest surprise, you do have a decent sized skull fracture." The doctor claimed, it didn't seem like Lynn could hear him right now though.

"It felt good, didn't it...?" A voice caught her attention, it scared her mostly because it sounded more aggressive and rougher, yet oddly pleased, the sport loving girl snapped her head up at the doctor.

"What did you say?" Lynn had to ask, feeling insulted.

"I said, do you want me to take you to your brother? It isn't good for you to be sat here stressing yourself out." Brike repeated himself, the teenager slowly nodded, watching as he stepped out of the room briefly.

"Ohhh, I can't wait to see him." Another voice chiming up confused her.

"W-What?" Lynn looked over her shoulder, there was no one else there, no nurse, no doctor, no nothing, yet that voice was far from her own, it sounded too giddy and overzealous. There was no response, she held her head, feeling it throb in pain. In a moment the doctor returned with a wheel chair in tow, he brought it over to the bed, going to help Lynn get into the seat.

"Just sit back and enjoy the ride." Brike said, the teenage girl deciding to keep quiet and brush off the random things she had been hearing as part of her imagination. Getting hit in the head with a blunt object tended to do that, right? She believed it would be far better once she healed.

Being wheeled through the early night hospital halls was rather eerie, sure the many nurses and doctors were going about doing their routine, yet the lack of any visitor's made the medical facility feel rather sterile and uncomfortable.

"I guess you're gonna need me to talk to the cops, huh?" Lynn rhetorically spoke, assuming that it was only a matter of time since doctors always had to report stuff like this.

"No, I'd say your brother covered that pretty well." The doctor pushing her wheelchair along said, that confused the teenage girl some, not that she was complaining, she was not the biggest fan of police. She just was more curious about what might have happened with those criminals. Lynn honestly considered that Lincoln might have been able to turn the situation around just because she had hurt the first two really badly. Trying to recall the situation just made her head hurt worse.

When Lynn got to Lincoln's room, she saw he was sat up in his hospital bed, reading a comic book looking relaxed. She noticed he seemed to have gotten his own assortment of injuries, they were far far lighter in comparison to her.

"Lynn?!" Lincoln was surprised to see her conscious again, especially given what the doctor had said to their family.

"Lincoln!" Lynn called out, relieved to see him in better shape than herself. She couldn't resist getting out of her wheelchair and rushing over to his bedside, ignoring the pain in her legs as she wrapped her arms around Lincoln's neck and gave him a tight embrace.

"I was worried about you." Lynn had to say, not even trying to hide her fears from when she first reawakened. That image of her only brother being strangled was an image burned deep into her mind, much to her displeasure. Although when she pulled away from their embrace, Lynn noticed something, a slight fear in her brother's eyes despite the joy his face held at seeing her safe. He was trying to hide it, but the middle Loud sibling was not the best at lying nor hiding his emotions.

"Everyone was worried about you, the doctor told us they didn't think you would wake up for a few days." The bucktooth teenager claimed, it had been something he had tried comforting most of their family through. Their many siblings had rotated between the two hospital rooms to spend time with their hospitalized family while they could, Lincoln tried to be reassuring, yet he could only do so much at the end of the day when severe injuries were involved.

"Heh, guess I owe you one. You're a lot tougher than you look." Lynn complimented her brother; all this did was add confusion onto his already mixed expression.

"I'll leave you two alone." Doctor Brike said while leaving the wheelchair by the hospital bed, leaving immediately after, thinking it would be better for both of their recoveries if they got to see one another safe and sound, even the most basic of positive interactions did a lot to maintain one's health.

"I'm sorry I couldn't do anything, Lynn." Lincoln spoke up first, breaking the silence between them. The young boy felt terrible that all he could do was watch those thugs beat on his sister more or less.

"What are you talking about? You saved me after all." Lynn stayed seated on Lincoln's hospital bed, looking equally perplexed now. Her brother still looked nervous, like something had made him scared of her.

"I barely could do anything. You're the one who beat them all up." Lincoln responded, his gaze wandering off to the side as if too nervous to look at her. Lynn was about to reply, only she felt another sharp pain shoot through her aching skull, she swore she saw a flash of something, it was like a single frame from a memory but nothing long enough to really identify.

"I-I did...?" The sports loving Loud held her head, trying to ignore the throbbing.

"You really don't remember?" Lincoln had to ask, finding it hard to believe anyone could forget such a traumatic event, though the young girl nodded, she was unable to recall the full incident past a certain point. "You were doing good, they used me to distract you long enough so they could get you with a bat they found near the trash, they were beating on you while you were unconscious." He began recounting the incident to her.

"That explains why more hurts about me than I remember." Lynn murmured, it did little to explain the cuts on her legs though. Her brother nodding in agreement to that statement.

"I bit one guy the second he let me go, that got them to turn their attention on me... Next thing I know, I see you standing up with the bat and then..." Lincoln swallowed hard, still remembering every detail in fear. He recalled Lynn standing there, bat in hand, and a look of what could only be described as an expression of insane enthrallment written on her face. The white-haired teenager decided it would be best to leave that detail out, mostly because it scared him to recall it himself.

"You went, berserk. I'd never seen you do anything like that before... The three of them were admitted to another hospital." Lincoln finished that explanation there, it was horrifying to him, even if the three thugs deserved it seeing Lynn not hold back like that, he hadn't seen her do that to anyone, even in the worst family fight.

Lynn found herself staring at the floor now, trying to process this. Though when recalling it, all she could feel was an aching pain that only intensified each passing second.

"...And you enjoyed every, last, swing." That familiar voice chimed up again, that same aggressive tone that sounded full of, what could only be described as, happy malice. Lynn held her head, her vision was getting blurry again and she was feeling terrible. It was coming back to her now. Lincoln could hear Lynn starting to breath harder and harder, the young boy felt bad, assuming he had sent her into a panic attack by dredging up the memory.

"Lynn, it's okay. We're alright." Lynn suddenly heard, feeling her brother's arms around her. He pulled her into a tight hug, looking desperate to try and get her to calm down. The auburn-haired girl tried to relax; her heart was still racing at a thousand miles an hour though. Lincoln tightened his hug, feeling his older sister's head on his shoulder, he could feel something wet on his shoulder as well. He didn't want to confirm it, Lincoln knew how much Lynn hated being seen crying, yet it was easy to tell that the sports loving girl was having a breakdown.

There was a problem, Lynn could tell that much, it wasn't because of the voices she was hearing randomly, not just that at least.

It was because there was multiple speaking at once now.

"You deserve this."

"Come on, just act on your urges."

"Don't you feel alive?"

"I don't want him to let go."

"Just laugh, it was hilarious."

"I wish we got to do more."

"As if you weren't a failure enough."

"All we're good at is hurting people, that's why we love sports."

The voices just kept getting louder, and louder, they were all blending together and overlapping, even though some of them stood out far more prominently than others, it was painful to Lynn, her head felt like it was going to explode. All she could do was hold onto Lincoln, not even aware of her damp cheeks and tears that were spilling out from her eyes. Lincoln let her do as she pleased, feeling like it was his fault for forcing her to relive the memory of that terrible event, he wondered if it would have been better to let her live without that memory. He was unaware of all that was going on inside her head, he just hoped seeing their family tomorrow would be enough to help her emotional wounds.
