She was only Nineteen
Authors Note: I don't own any of the characters I've written about. I'm just borrowing them for a minute :D
It was her nineteenth birthday. She had no boyfriend, no family, and no friends...no, that's not true, she had Michael and Fez, sure they hit on Sam but they didn't turn their backs on her. She wouldn't let any of that ruin her day tough. Today she decided that she didn't need Donna or Steven. They didn't appreciate her (or want her around it seemed like) so she wouldn't even bother anymore. "Fuck them" she said aloud to an empty room. She put on a tight mini dress and her newest pair of Halston's. This is how she should have been all along. Not pining over Steven Hyde and her pseudo best friend. She walked out of her shared apartment with her head held high and got into her Lincoln. Time to dance the night away in Kenosha.
Meanwhile back in the basement...
Hyde knew what day it was. As if he could forget. He had a gift for her, not like he could actually give it to her. He even had to hide it from Sam to make sure she wouldn't mistake it as something for herself. He hated his life now, he hated his wife, but he couldn't go back on his responsibilities. He wouldn't be Bud. He hated insulting Jackie but she needed to get over him. Hating him would be better for her. He didn't expect Donna to jump on board with his treatment of her. He hates her for that now. He for sure thought she'd stick by Jackie. He doesn't understand how she could turn her back on her, Jackie always went out of her way to help and support everyone. He hopes she stops by today.
Kenosha...
Jackie waited in line to get into the newest club, Glamour. At the door checking people in was probably one of the most beautiful girls Jackie had ever seen and oh my God look at her Prada heels! Jackie had to talk to this girl, of that, she was sure. Finally, she was at the front of the line. "ID" said the girl, Jackie handed over her driver's license. "Nice Prada heels" commented Jackie. The girl looked up from inspecting the license and ran her eyes up and down Jackie's form, "Nice Halston's, Jacqueline." replied the girl as she handed back the license. Jackie smirked. Maybe it was time she made some new friends.
Liz was bored of the 70s, she hoped the 80s would be better. She'd been around a few hundred years, not nearly as long as her master, but long enough to grow tired of people. No one really held her interest for long, good for fucks and feed, maybe an occasional pet, but nothing more. Maybe she needed a new name? but she had just chosen Liz not that long ago. A few more years wouldn't hurt she supposed. Another night of letting the vermin into their club. She detested working the door, didn't they pay people for these menial jobs? but Eric, or Leif as he was now going by, used this as a punishment for a bet she lost to him. One good thing about working the door, she got first pick of the women. She had noticed her before she hit the front of the line. She was petite, raven hair and mismatched eyes. She wondered how many humans had actually noticed her eyes before. Then she scoffed, as if they'd even take the time to notice something like that. She was finally at the front of the line, her driver's license said she was Jacqueline B. Burkhart and today was her nineteenth birthday. "Nice Prada heels" she heard Jacqueline say. Liz looked her up and down, appreciating the view, "Nice Halston's Jacqueline." The 70s were definitely looking up.
Authors Note: In the books, Southern Vampire Mysteries, Eric and Pam mention that they'd gone by different names throughout their existence, For a while Pam talked about being Liz while Eric mentioned being Leif at one point. There's also mention about how he took night classes at a college back in the 70s. So I'm just using those names for this story.
