After the defeat of the Underworld Army and the surrender of the Forces of Nature, Pit had a lot of free time on his hands, which he spent flying. He started taking medication that would help his wings develop properly again, and they seemed to be working because he could now fly for about an hour.

One day, he decided to go for a 'swim' in the Galactic Sea. A few minutes into his flight, he noticed some quick movement over by some small nearby planets. He flew over and saw a beautiful woman with long, platinum-blonde hair driving a go-kart. He increased his flying speed until he was flying next to her. She turned to look at him. She had a long bang over her right eye, and she wore a teal dress.

"Hi," Pit said.

The woman turned to look at him, a surprised look on her face. She looked at his friendly face and wings. Her surprise turned to a smile. "Hello there.

"I'm Pit the angel, from Angel Land."

"Pleased to meet you, Pit," the woman replied, "My name is Rosalina."

"Rosalina…That's a lovely name. So, what are you doing out here?"

"I wanted to get some practice in for the Special Cup Tournament. This is the last place we go to each time. This is only my second time taking part in these racing competitions, so I need to learn the ropes, as they say." She turned back to face him. "What are you doing here?"

"I recently defeated the evil Underworld Army and I've been taking medication to help my wings develop properly. I was testing my wings out."

"Wow. It sounds like you've been quite busy lately."

"Yeah. I'm just glad to have time to relax." He looked back at her. "Mind if I fly beside you for a while?"

"By all means, go ahead. I used to have a Luma floating next to me when I drove."

"What's a Luma?"

"They're the little star aliens I adopted when I was a little girl."

"Aww, that's so sweet! Why did you adopt them?"

"Well…it's a long story…"

"I've got time."

The two of them continued to talk for many laps around the Rainbow Road. They chatted about flying and food they liked and funny memories they had from their games and many more topics. After about 55 minutes, Pit noticed his wings were starting to give out. "I'm sorry, Rosalina," he said, "But I'd better get going before my wings burn out."

"Alright, Pit," Rosalina said.

"Wait!" The angel took out a scrap of paper and wrote something on it. He handed it to Rosalina. "Call me some time," he said. The angel then flew off, back to his home and Rosalina continued to drive on.
