Ch1
Poseidon stormed into his palace beneath the seas. "How dare he accuse me," he slammed his trident on the ground causing the palace to shake. "He thinks that I am a common thief?"
"Father calm down," Triton said as he bowed to him.
"Calm down? How dare my brother accuse me of stealing his damn bolt!" He yelled causing the palace to shake. "He is so lucky the other gods stopped us there would've been more than words for that insult."
"Father I'm sure it is a misunderstanding," Triton said calmly.
"My brother always liked to pick fights and prove he is better than me," he said as he sat down on his throne. "Oh speaking of problems you know what your half brother did in the Mediterranean?"
"You mean Chrysaor?" Triton asked scratching his head. "The last I heard he was still playing pirate in the Mediterranean Sea." The condescension in his voice was obvious, Chrysaor was sort of one of his many black sheep.
"Well he raided and desecrated various places to my brother and he is very mad," he said shaking his head. "I've let him run unstrained for too long, the last thing I need is for Zeus to look into all of my children."
"Shall I take care of him father?" Triton asked. His son's gaze betrayed a flicker of doubt as if he knew something he shouldn't. It didn't surprise him; Triton was his heir and no fool.
"We'll go together. Assemble a force immediately," he said standing up and summoning his trident in his hand. "Mobilize all my units in the Mediterranean and track his ship, I want my best warriors with us."
"Yes father," Triton said. "I won't fail you."
His son gave him one last knowing look before heading off. I can't hide anything from you can I? Triton and his mother had always been tolerant of his other children so long as they didn't bother them. I never told them about Sally or Percy though no one would dare say anything even if they knew.
He quickly arrived outside where Triton had amassed a group of warriors some mermen and various animals that served him, they were the best of his guards his own personal strike force. "Have you located Chrysaor?" He asked.
Triton nodded, "We always kept an eye on him in case he did something stupid. I just received a report that his ship is off the coast of Sardinia we are ready to leave as soon as you command."
"Good lets go then," he said. He snapped his fingers and Greek armor enveloped his body. "Lets leave at once."
The Mediterranean Sea was his backyard so it didn't take much effort to travel there from the Atlantic Ocean since it was his domain. "Triton you'll strike first. Make sure no one escapes," he said gripping his trident tightly.
"Yes father I won't disappoint you," Triton said as they approached the enemy ship.
His son jumped out of the water with a few soldiers while various dolphins encircled the ship around him. After a few minutes he noticed a few sailors fall overboard only for them to be captured by his men.
Time to make my entrance. Gripping his trident he propelled himself out of the water and jumped on the ship in his human form. The ship was in chaos as Triton and Chrysoar fought each other, he had to admit his other son was capable but Triton had been more experience and was pushing Chrysoar back.
"Enough!" He yelled as he blasted Chrysaor down with a blast from his trident. Chrysaor was knocked down and quickly subdued by Triton and a few mermen who pointed spears at his throat. He looked over his son, his mask was covered by a golden Gorgon mask that matched his imperial gold sword and the Greek armor he wore.
"Hello father what brings you here?" Chrysaor spat from underneath his mask.
"You had to raid places sacred to my brother," he said looking down at him. "Your lucky he didn't come or you'd be in Tartarus already."
Chrysaor struggled and let loose a string of curses in Ancient Greek. "I was always the disappointment then huh?"
"Take him away and lock him up," he said looking at his son with a firm gaze. "We'll speak later son."
"Yes sir," The mermen said as they bound Chrysaor's hands and feet and carried him into the Ocean.
"I'll take him home personally. Take this ship and store it somewhere safe," he told Triton. "We'll talk with your brother later."
"Yes father," Trion said with a bow.
As soon as he was back at his main palace in the Atlantic Ocean he sat on his throne room with Chrysaor bound and gagged in front of him struggling against his binds. "What are you going to do kill me?" His son asked.
"I have an idea of what I want to do with you," he said as Triton came back and bowed to him.
His brother wanted him to punish Chrysaor then he would do it. Right now you are more valuable to me alive than dead. I have my own plans for you, I can't have Zeus trying to kill your younger sibling. He would punish Chrysaor just in a way that was beneficial to him and his own interests.
He dismissed his servants so that he could talk with his sons in private. "Now Chrysaor I've heard your cries for fame over the centuries," he said resting on his throne.
"More like whining," Triton muttered his voice not bothering to hide the derision.
"Shut it you know nothing," Chrysaor seethed from beneath his mask. "I was always the disappointment huh? The son of Poseidon who had no legends to him." The bitterness and self loathing were evident in every word, a part of him felt sorry for him but he knew Chrysaor did many bad things in life.
He stared at his son before walking right up to him. "You have your mother's mask," he said as he removed the golden mask from his face.
"No!" Chrysaor screeched as he tried to hide his face from him.
However, he just gripped his chin and forced him to look him in the eyes and ignoring his son's protests. Chrysaor's face was handsome, just like his mother before she turned into a monster yet his eyes were red. I can feel the power in his eyes looks like he took after his mom though they aren't as strong.
"Give it back!" Chrysaor seethed.
"How would you like to earn your own glory?" He asked.
Chrysaor frowned, "What do you mean?"
"I need you to protect someone," he said firmly. "That will be your punishment."
Triton shifted where he stood, "Father do you mean that boy in New York?" He asked softly.
"What boy?" Chrysaor asked curiously. "I thought you swore on the Styx to not have kids?"
He sighed and released his grip on his son and sat down, "I won't hide anything but I won't allow Zeus to kill my children."
"So you broke the oath," Chrysaor chuckled. "What does that have to do with me?"
He leaned over his son and met his red eyes, "You want your own glory? Do you want fame? How about this, my brother insists I punish you so I'll strip you of your immortality and you will watch over your half-brother in New York. You'll be a normal demigod and will have to look after your younger brother"
"Why would I do that?" Chrysaor said his eyes betraying curiosity. He knew his son wanted his own adventure, his own story.
"Either that or I lock you up or turn you in to my brother for desecrating places sacred to him," he said firmly. "Trust me those sites you desecrated my brother held dearly if I don't punish you he will and you don't want that. Besides his thunderbolt was stolen, if push came to shove and he wanted your head for peace I can't risk a war over you. I can easily take away your immortality don't think it would be hard for me to do."
He rested in his chair, "My brother wants me to punish you so this would be your punishment."
Chrysaor avoided his gaze, "What would I have to do?"
"Be his brother," he said resting in his chair. "Train him, look after him, and keep him safe during this prophecy. I'm sure you'll obtain a lot of glory doing so. However, I will need you to swear on the River Styx that you will never betray me, my realm, or Percy and Triton."
Chrysaor looked down contemplating the offer. "I won't give a second chance," he said. "If you don't accept these conditions I'll send you to a jail cell and if my brother demands more things of me, I doubt I'll be in a position to defend you with all that is going on."
"I'll do it," Chrysaor said looking him in the eyes. "I swear on the River Styx on the conditions you told me." The sea rumbled as the oath was made. "But I want my mask and ship back."
"You can cover your face but I'll have to keep your ship hidden less my brother come across it," he said. "I'll fill you in the details of what you'll need to do later."
Chrysaor only looked at him as a group of guards came and escorted him to his room. As soon as the door was closed Triton came up to him, "Father why send that man? I am more than capable of looking after a demigod."
He detected a hint of dissatisfaction with his son while his eyes appeared hurt. You always felt someone else would take your place even though I would never do that. "You'll be helping too," he said. "You are my heir and my first son. You should be guiding your siblings," he said.
Triton looked at him and nodded. "I'll never let you down father."
"I know you won't," he said. "I won't let any of my children be killed by my brother. Watch over Percy and Chrysaor, they will have many trials ahead of them. Guide and train them but also do not push them too hard. You are my eldest son it is your duty to train them and prepare them for what will come"
"Understood father," Triton said with a bow.
"I can't interfere much with my demigod children but there is nothing that says you can't help them," he said. "But I'll do my best to make sure my children are prepared."
"What is my new half brother like?" Triton asked.
"I see great promise in him," he said looking his son in the eye. "I wish you all could get along. I know you've sometimes treated your young siblings with contempt and jealousy do not repeat it with Percy."
Triton avoided his gaze and bowed, "I'll do my best father."
"Be cautious though with everything going on Olympus will be watching us," he said standing up. "Go to New York and watch over Percy and Chrysaor for a bit. Don't intervene if necessary though.
Triton bowed to him as he left the throne room. He headed towards the jail in his realm, a highly defended castle that kept the worst of the worst in the sea locked up. Chrysaor's cell was highly guarded and when he entered he found his son chained to the wall.
"Out of all my children I always felt you had the most wasted potential," he said.
Chrysaor glared at him, "Sorry I wasn't a damn horse."
He sighed. "Pegasus always spoke fondly of you." Deep down I know he still loves you too despite all that you did. "But enough of that you'll soon have the powers of a normal son of Poseidon but I'll leave some of the powers you gained from your mother and maybe some immortality in case you need it."
Chrysaor chuckled, "Don't worry I've learned many things on the seas. Trust me immortality isn't everything."
That's what I'm hoping for. Percy needed to have a good coach, a mentor to teach him the ropes of being a son of Poseidon and he knew that out of his children Chrysaor was one of the best swordsman who could probably give Triton a run for his money given the right circumstances.
"So just meet your kid and protect him right? Until he gets famous and I'm off free?" Chrysaor asked.
"If Percy survives then yes," he said as he raised his hand and felt his godly powers resonate inside of him. "Don't worry Chrysaor this is your trial. I hope you make good ties with all of your siblings." There was a flash of light and to his son's credit, Chrysaor didn't scream.
"Well I guess I could look worse," Triton muttered as he looked at his human form in the mirror. His cover was that he was an upperclassman and member of the swim team at Yancy Academy. He had a firm athletic figure and dark hair and eyes. My cover is Tristan son of a yacht maker A simple enough cover for his current task
It didn't take much work with the mist to fit himself into the student body though only a few people saw him as out of place.
He walked down the halls of the school and found the office he was looking for. "Two new people just appeared I honestly don't know what to do sir," said a voice from the other side of the door.
He knocked on the door and let himself in and found Chiron and the satyr Grover talking, "Sorry for intruding but I thought I should introduce myself," he said as Chiron and Grover looked him over as if accessing a threat. "Don't worry Satyr me and you have the same objective right now."
"Grover leave us be," Chiron said. The satyr looked like he was about to protest but only nodded and left. "Well who I have the honor of meeting?"
He sat across the centaur and smiled, "My father has sent me to look after my younger siblings."
Chiron raised his brow and sighed, "Lord Triton a pleasure to meet your acquaintance," the centaur said softly.
"Likewise," he said. "Don't blow my cover yet. I don't intend to interfere much I just am watching over my siblings."
"Your father always did look after his children," Chiron said looking him in the eye. "What is your goal here?"
"I am a student and as far as the student body cares I'm friends with my brothers," he said. "Personally I'm doing this for my father, I won't interfere if you wish to take them to camp. Believe it or not we are both on the same side, we both want Percy Jackson safely at camp."
"And your other friend?" Chiron asked.
He smiled at the centaur, "He is working on his own problems. I believe he would make a great addition to your camp."
Chiron sighed, "Fine I could use a teacher's assistant. But you are to only help me and Grover Underwood get Percy to camp safely."
"We'll be of good help don't worry," he said with a smile. "I don't intend to interfere much longer. I'm doing this for my father's sake."
He stood up and headed towards the door. "I'll you know if I find anything."
"Fine just don't tell Percy everything right away," Chiron said.
He turned to the centaur and smiled, "Of course not. What kind of sibling would I be if I told him everything right now?"
AN: So I always noticed that in fanfics where Percy gets a brother it is always a bashing fic for Percy to leave and get a harem. A pity because I think Percy having another demigod sibling is a great idea. I've seen people asking for stories about Percy having a demigod sibling that isn't a bashing story so I decided to write this since Chrysaor seemed like an interesting character. It'll only cover PJO for now.
So this story will be mainly about Chrysaor and Percy, Triton will help but won't be around as much. Anyway let me know what you think. Any critiques, reviews, and ideas would be grateful.
