A white-hooded man collapsed on his back after being knocked down by an Ursa Grimm. He gazed his eyes up in fear at the large, bear-like beast that towered above him. Bones covered parts if its arms, its head, and its claws.

The Grimm slashed its claws, but the man sifted his body backwards to dodge them. He turned himself over to try to crawl away, but he suddenly realized the village he was currently in was being overrun by Grimm. He could see different types of Grimm leaping over village buildings and citizens running in fear. Huntsmen tried to fight them, but they quickly found themselves running too.

The hooded man couldn't stop sweating. He couldn't even breathe. Suddenly, he felt the agonizing pain in his leg. The Ursa behind him sank its teeth into him lifting him from the ground without any effort. It swung him around until he released his prey. The hooded man quickly impacted the wall and collapsed on the ground. He opened his eyes seeing the large, bloody wounds in his right calf.

The hooded man gasped as the Ursa crept up closer to him. He couldn't escape and his back was against the wall. The Ursa raised its head ready to deliver the final blow. The hooded man closed his eyes waiting, wishing that his end would be instant.

SWISH!

He was still breathing. The hooded man blinked his eyes open both confused and relieved. He looked back at the Ursa again and gasped in shock as he saw it without its head. He looked down and saw the missing body part laying on the ground in front of him. As the Grimm began to disappear into dust, the hooded man looked to his left and smiled toward his savior.

It was a slender figure who wore white robes just like he did. They wore a hood that covered most of their face. They turned revealing their young, feminine face. A trace of blue hair was revealed sticking out of her hood. In her hand was a small knife which she held backwards. The edge was emitting a black glow. She put away her knife to help the hooded man up to his feet.

"Are you all right, brother?" she asked.

"Other than my leg, I'm fine. Who are you?"

"Aqua Marine." She introduced herself. "The Mentor sent me and others after seeing another wave of Grimm approaching the village."

"Bless you. This means a… LOOK OUT!"

Aqua turned and saw a pack of Beowolves charging right at her. Narrowing her gaze, Aqua kept her focus on the pack. She began running right toward them. Her brother in arms warned her against it, but as soon as he finished his warning, it was already over. It was practically instantaneous, but Aqua stayed low and swung her knife at each of them. She made it right behind the pack with each Grimm bearing red marks on their bodies. She looked back at the monsters and watched each scar glow brighter and brighter. Instantly, the wounds burst in a fiery explosion destroying the Beowolves instantly. She then looked back at the man she rescued who looked at her wish astonishment.

"Sister Aqua!"

Aqua looked over toward another hooded man. Like her, he had his hood up, but she could see the lowly-cut beard covering his chin.

"Azul. What is it?" Aqua asked.

"It's the bureau uphill. It's been overrun."

"Grimm?"

"No. It's Straus."

Aqua grimaced hearing the name of a traitor. Straus was one of them, but his arrogance had almost lead her brotherhood to its destruction. He was exiled for it, but he vowed revenge. He hasn't been heard in a month until now.

"He lead the Grimm here." Azul continued. "It was all to draw defenses away from the bureau. He took it with the help of bandits."

Aqua looked at the hill that overshadowed the village. At the top was a stone, two-story building that she saw was surrounded by lowlife mercenaries.

"What about the Mentor?" she asked.

"He's already been taken prisoner." Azul said. "Aqua, we need to run." He grabbed Aqua's arm and attempted to pull her away, but she took her arm back.

"No." Aqua refused. "The Mentor needs our help. I'm going up there to save him."

"By yourself?" Azul asked. "Aqua, that's a suicide mission. Even your Sharktooth won't be enough. You'll be killed."

"It's better than running from someone who needs help, especially when he's given me purpose." Aqua said. She turned to the brother she saved before. "Take him and lead the villagers out. When the Mentor is safe, I'll sound the horn and everyone can return." She ran uphill before Azul can say any more.

There were bandits waiting for anyone getting close, but Aqua didn't pay them any mind. She took her knife and mowed down each of them without using its special ability. She didn't need to look back because she knew that everyone had collapsed behind her.

As soon as Aqua reached the front of the stone building, she came face to face with a man at the entrance. He was a large, overweight man with a bald head and a large nose that made him look like a pig.

"Not one step closer, Hidden One, or your Mentor dies!" Straus warned pointing behind him.

Aqua looked behind her enemy seeing two men holding a man down to his knees. The man had a burlap sack over his head, but Aqua knew who it was.

"Coward!" she spat at Straus. "I know what this is, Straus! You're working for her now, aren't you? She convinced you to join her?"

"Convince me?" Straus laughed. "She barely had to ask. Now, stay out. If I catch you anywhere in this place, the old man dies!" He closed the door separating him from Aqua.

"This traitor has to die." Aqua thought to herself. She wasn't willing to give up that easily. Using the bushes that surrounded the stone building, she circled the area until she found a way in. The second story had an open window that she could reach. She just climbed her way up the bricks and entered through the window.

Aqua saw one of the bandits Hay hired. He had his back to her, so he had no idea she was there. Still, he was in her way, so he had to be eliminated. She put away her signature weapon and readied her metal bracer. She gave it a flick pulling out a dagger-sized blade of steel. Aqua wasted no time in using it. She grabbed the bandit by his mouth to muffle his screaming and lunged her hidden blade right into his back. His aura broke instantly, and before too long, he stopped fighting and embraced his demise.

After carefully placing her victim on the ground, Aqua proceeded down the hallway where she found herself in a grand hall with a balcony towering over the ground floor. With great stealth, Aqua looked down and saw Straus circling around his hostage who still had his sack over his head.

"Look at you." Straus said. "You were always so proud of your self-entitled speeches about trust and unity. If only the world knew how much of a hypocrite you are. And now, old man, it's time for your reckoning. You can start by telling me where the Celestial Chart is."

The hostage said nothing. He didn't even raise his head. Straus' proud smile became bitter and annoyed. He reached for the nearest table and flipped it over. Meanwhile, Aqua sneaked over to the far side of the overseeing floor where Straus was pacing angrily.

"Don't try my patience!" Straus continued. "My oldest brother died for you! And my other brother disappeared while under your watch! You owe me some answers!" He knelt down to his hostage and held a dagger to his throat.

Aqua knew she couldn't afford to waste time. She saw the edge of the knife pressed to the Mentor's throat threatening to end him. She climbed over to perch herself on the wooden railing. She kept her eyes locked on her target and lunged herself off. She pulled out her hidden blade again and used it to stab Straus in the back of his neck. As he quickly collapsed, the Mentor finally moved taking care of the bandits who held him hostage. Aqua pushed the blade deeper to finish off her target.

"You're really going to keep following the old fool, Aqua? You're being lead to your demise."

"Better he lead then your witch of a Grand Mistress."

"The Templar Order is made to make humanity better. The Mentor and the Grand Mistress are old enough to know what is best, but she's the only one with the true strength to do anything about it."

"Even in death, you're putting your faith at the hands of a relentless death monger?"

"You can't believe anything the old man tells you. One day, your world view will be broken. Then, we'll see how much your faith goes." Straus laid down to rest for good.

Aqua closed Straus' eyes. "I'll always have faith in the Creed, no matter what. Rest in peace."

Aqua rose up from her enemy and turned her attention to her Mentor. He pulled off his mask revealing his white, sharp face with short, silver hair and shaded glasses.

"Are you all right, Professor Ozpin?" Aqua asked.

"I've felt worse. Believe me." Ozpin said brushing off his clothes. "Now, where did he… Aha!" He looked behind him and saw a black cane resting on the table. He took it back and turned back to Aqua who looked at her hidden blade.

"This is a very dangerous weapon, sir. A metal with a strange ability to shatter an aura instantly."

"Yes. That's why we limit our users to just our comrades." Ozpin said. "Now, come on. It's time to call everyone back home."

After sounding the horn, Aqua's fellow agents guided the villagers back to their homes. Just outside of the stone building, Professor Ozpin and Aqua stood side by side watching the village from above.

"Guess you must regret coming here for the summer, huh?" Aqua asked.

"It's been a challenge," Ozpin admitted, "But I still wouldn't choose a better spot to be. This is after all the first outpost built in Vale."

"So this was a sentimental visit?"

"More reflective, really. To be honest, Aqua, I sometimes have doubts myself. I come to places like this to remind myself why I established this brotherhood. And seeing you in there was a good reminder. I overheard what you said to Straus. Would you really never abandon the Creed, no matter what you learn?"

Aqua took a silent moment to look down on the ground. Her blue eyes then fixed over to the midday horizon.

She smiled back to her Mentor and replied, "Of course. I admit, if it's big enough, it's going to be challenging. And after hearing mention of this 'Celestial Chart' Straus mentioned, it's clear there's still something you haven't told me. But the Creed, this brotherhood, it's all I have left. And if it brings me to a path where I can find my father's killer, you can count on me to choose you."

"Be cautious, Ms. Marine." Ozpin said. He turned toward the outpost and walked toward it. "We may work in the shadows, but we must be willing enough to not be consumed by them. Remember the Creed. Remember who you are. That's where your strength will come from. Take care."

When Ozpin walked away, Aqua was left alone starting out to the horizon. She then looked down at her wrist which wore her metal bracer. She unsheathed the hidden blade to admire it.

"Where others blindly follow the truth, remember… nothing is true. Where others are limited by morality or law, remember… everything is permitted. We work in the dark to serve the light. We are the Hidden Ones."

Author's Note: Here is a new installment of my Assassin's Creed crossover series. Again, if anyone has any ideas for AC crossovers, let me know. Remember, they need to center around either an Assassin's Creed character entering the other fandom, a canon character becoming an Assassin, or an OC.

For the sake of the plot in this story, we will have the brotherhood keep the original name it had in the games, the Hidden Ones.

For this fanfic, we will center around four OCs. The first four chapters will introduce each member before we have them meet each other. Below is a bio profile of the assassin featured in this profile, Aqua Marine.

Aqua Marine

Age: 16

Appearance: Aqua has a young face and a slim, but athletic figure. She has bright blue hair that matches her eyes. She primarily wears her white-hooded robe outfit with a blue outline. She also wears black shoes.

Assassin's Creed inspiration: Altair

Fairy tale inspiration: The Little Mermaid

Personality: Aqua is a kind, dedicated girl who wishes to see the best in the world. But when someone disrespects her or her Creed, she gets dangerous.

Weapon: Other than her hidden blade, she carries a dagger called Sharktooth. When activated, it has the ability to lace its cuts with explosive material that detonates after a short amount of time.

Semblance: Aqua's Semblance is a basic, but handy ability for her line of work, Invisibility, where she blends to her background and remains unseen for as long as she holds her breath or makes sudden movements.

History: All Aqua Marine knows about her birth is her last name. She was found as a baby in Atlas and raised under her guardian, a Huntsman named Rhodes, who she saw as a father. When she was 10 years old, she got word that her father was found murdered. Fueled by anger and a need for justice, Aqua ran away to find Rhodes' murderer, who she found out fled to Vale. Aqua searched relentlessly until she collapsed from hunger and exhaustion. She was about to be eaten by Grimm until she was saved by a group of white-hooded people. They fed her and helped her rest. Realizing they were part of an ancient brotherhood called the Hidden Ones, Aqua was fascinated with their ways. She agreed to join them if they help her find Rhodes' killer.

That's it for now. Any and all comments are welcome.
