Hello readers, this is my first Crossover story so please bear with me, I will do extensive research on information on particular things with Sonic and My Hero Academia. This is a requested story from user Samuel Dudek and this story's original idea is credited to him. I had been made aware that he had originally requested this from BlueMoonWolf17 from "Sonic the Chaos Avatar" and I do not want to be seen as plagiarizing with this take and asked permission from BlueMoonWolf17 to continue with this take on the story.

Hope you enjoy!

Chapter 1 Origins

Over generations, humans had evolved as they began to develop gifts, which would later be known as quirks. Within this supernatural society, a low percentage of humans were undeveloped with these powers and were seen as an inferior species. These giftless individuals were put into a subclass, segregated from the rest as they were pushed out of cities and forced to live in the lower-class suburbs and the country side. The city was far too expensive because there weren't any jobs that paid enough that didn't require a specific power. The giftless that were lucky to obtain housing within the city were constantly pushed by landlords to make way for more evolved people.

Izuku Midoriya had experienced this first-handedly when his mother passed away, the landlord didn't bother to wait until his mother was in the ground before she started hounding him to make sure he paid on time. The woman had notched up the rent from the amount his gifted mother was paying, and he was forced to move out of his childhood home to save whatever was left of his mother's inheritance for him.

Now at the age of twenty-five, he was making ends meet on his subpar living situation on the edge of the city outskirts within the forest. His shabby house had its many unglamorous moments, but at least it was home… He sighed as he ran a hand over his face in attempts to wake himself up from a long day at work. His supervisor dropped a load of case files before lunch and expected all of them to be reviewed and transferred into electronic files by the end of the day. His boss was known for these last-minute deadlines on him because everyone else in the office had gifts that were more beneficial for the in-field inspections while Izuku was always forced on the sidelines. The company's excuse was to ensure the safety of all individuals, and they didn't want to risk the need to issue any workers comp for him if he got injured. Many gifts were derived by the elements while others were mental and body enhancing, factories didn't use machinery much anymore because people can do what the machines could do whether it would weld together metal merely by their hands, cool the scorching metal with water manipulation, or move the products with one's mind through telekinesis. Jobs were more geared to gifts, costing less to have people use their abilities rather buying and fixing expensive machinery and equipment to do the work for them.

This change of the workforce really limited what unevolved people could be useful for – and luckily Izuku was a quick learner and attentive to detail which gave him a shot to obtain the job he is currently employed in… even though he was barely making minimum wage. The supervisor had saw some use of him when Izuku respectively commented about a few errors in the questionnaire at the interview and figured he can help prevent any grammatical or technical terminology misuse of the company's reports and inspection notes if they would have him.

The job barely put food on the table for himself, but at least it was something rather than being homeless and hungry on the street. Izuku tiredly browsed around the little convenient store outside the city on the way back to his home for dinner. He faked a smile to the owner of the store as he headed back to the coolers, eyeing if the store had restocked their inventory. He sighed in relief finding his tonic as he grabbed a few packs and put them in the cart as he numbly went to the register dropping in some instant noodles to not concern the owner that was starting to pick up on his habits.

Once he was home, he kicked off his shoes and went straight to opening a cold one. Izuku smiled sadly raising his drink to the picture of his late mother as he downed his drink emptily gazing around his shabby living room. He had been in the same position at work for five years now… all his hard work in bettering the reports to make others sound more sophisticated just for them to get raises and praise. His proposal for a raise or to move up to a higher position was denied yet again because he needed to be more qualified.

He muttered to himself opening a box next to the couch as he gazed at it temptingly, "Is it really worth it?" Izuku opened another beer, chugged another large swing of it. "Just been told so many times I'm not good enough – 'sorry can't get that raise' or the excuse of being overlooked for a higher position because I'm nothing special…" He drank himself lifelessly, laughing at himself as he pulled out the item in the box. He stared down the chamber of the pistol, swinging his head back to allow the alcohol to dull his senses.

He hiccupped taking off the safety, "No one will notice that I'm gone, I'm just an employee number… hardly anyone knows my name in the office." He closed his eyes putting the chamber under his chin, he held his breath feeling tears running down his face as he couldn't do it. He gasped putting the pistol back in the box as he opened another beer. His green eyes stared at his mother's picture again as he allowed more tears to wet his face – he knew his existence made it difficult for her, everyone had treated her pitifully for having a son that was unevolved. It was a bad omen they said, but all there was, were people just stressing a poor woman to the point of putting her on her deathbed.

Izuku took a deep breath staring at her frozen smiling face in that picture. Ever since he was little, he wished that maybe, just maybe, powers would awaken in him randomly. That he was a late bloomer… he had wished to have a fire gift like his father or have telekinesis like his mother. But as he got older, he came to his senses that it will never happen and his mother tried to encourage him that he can be the best person he can be through hard work and putting his mind to it. And he did that, he studied every subject in school twice as hard than any other kid and excelled in academics just to prove he was just as important as the rest of the normal people. But even after all that hard work and him having shown his intellect, no one can overlook him for being subhuman and he tries – really tries to not let it get to him… Just sometimes he needs help to get the edge off in a society that was against him.

He sighed gazing towards the bag with the instant noodles, Can't drink on an empty stomach…

Within the tree line with a full view of the young man nursing a bottle, a large owl perched by a nearby tree, with its blue eyes watching intently from the shadows. For a few weeks Longclaw has been studying this particular human, to make sure he was worthy and up to a task with the lives of little ones. Some days the man seemed to have the whole world on his shoulders, other days he was nose deep in studies… but what really caught the owl's eyes on this human was his determination of keeping a smile on his face as he helped strangers with trivial things. Longclaw had watched how he would go out of his way to help an old woman cross the street, toss a couple of dollars into a homeless man's hat, even though he was barely afloat on his own. Even through his broken state at home, he still put on a face and stayed a decent person when odds were against him.

The owl ruffled her feathers feeling slightly uneased with this decision, but time was running out and this Izuku Midoriya will have to be their camouflage… to get the other clan off their scent. She tossed a ring as she flew through the portal, she peered down at the little bundles of fur softly as the two children slept soundly. She recently was given duty for guardianship of the little yellow fox, out of respect for a simple request between two mothers – even though Sonic was already a handful, she felt it may be good for him to learn how to slow down with the company of Miles, Tails, as Sonic had nicknamed his new friend.

Her blue gaze stared at the little fox sorrowfully as she dwelled on his circumstances…

Rosemary Prowers had shifted her cloak more tightly on herself as she carried her son through the street. She hastily cut through pathways noticing her husband's men from the Royal Army were on a prowl looking for her son.

"Mama… is Dad really upset with me?" Miles mumbled under her arm as the six-year-old nervously watched his mother tuck him further into her cloak.

"Now don't worry yourself, mama is just going to take you somewhere safe." Rosemary reassured. Since Miles' birth, her husband Amadeus, had always been disgusted by him. For Miles' uniqueness of having two tails, Amadeus felt the defect had blackened the good Prowers' name. Amadeus never gave the boy any attention, and little Miles thought in order to make his father proud he would tinker with the Army's technical equipment… Now she just needed to get her son to safety before Amadeus gets his hands on him and kills him for sabotage.

She knew Longclaw was still on Mobius and would help… As night was falling Rosemary finally made it to the safe haven.

"Rosemary?" A voice spoke on top of the tree.

The fox peered up and gave a wry smile, "Hello old friend, I need help." She unbundled her cloak to reveal the sleeping Miles.

Longclaw swooped down tilting her head to the side, "What's the matter?"

"He has means to kill him, please I beg of you – take him in as one of your own." Rosemary couldn't hold back her tears anymore.

The owl studied her seeing the grief and worry, "Amadeus?"

Rosemary had sobbed, "He has always hated him because of his deformity, and my little boy had tried so many things to get him to like him… But Miles went too far and touched important technology for the Army. Please I beg of you – I know you already have a little one but I will be at ease to know he is in good hands…"

Longclaw had nodded her head, "I will take good care of him."

Longclaw glanced nervously outside the window feeling an unsettling silence in the night. They are coming… The war to obtain the Chaos Crystals has been stirring up more recently, with the Echidna tribe aiming to regain their power over the galaxy. It was only a matter of time before they could sense the crystals calling to them to obtain an avatar to wield them once again. Longclaw swiftly picked up the two boys placing them in a large basket, "I'm sorry little ones… you will understand what I had to do one day."

Sonic murmured in his sleep as Longclaw patted her wing over him as she prepared their trip. Light illuminated the hut, blinding the intruders momentarily before they rushed in. Longclaw narrowed her eyes expanding her wingspan threateningly, "You will never find them." The Echidna raised their weapons to meet the owl warrior's fierce wings…

Izuku woke up with a start as a flash of light erupted outside his bedroom window. He slowly approached the front door, grabbing a bat just in case. The door creaked open as he surveyed the area, his green eyes stopped dead at the foot of the porch. What's this? He cautiously approached the basket hearing slight noises coming from it and he froze, staring at it dumbfoundedly. Izuku smacked himself in the face to make sure he was really awake – were those animals? He stared at the two furballs within the basket, trying to decipher what animals they could possibly be, but then he noticed them wearing clothes… No more like children? He peered around confusedly, wondering if someone was playing a joke on him.

He tensed up as one of the creatures yawned before nuzzling with the other. Okay Izuku there are two small children-animal looking creatures that were left on your doorstep… What are you going to do?! Izuku took cautious steps to the basket and he picked it up getting a better look. They look so innocent and defenseless… He peered around the forest again, wondering if someone else was in trouble and left the children here for safety.

Izuku placed the basket on the couch as he walked towards the sink to splash cold water on his face to fully sober up. Luckily for him, it was the weekend and he has two days to figure out what the hell he was going to do…

Izuku glanced around his pantries to determine if he even had food that was suitable. He frowned to himself seeing cereal, rice, and noodles as the only options he had for food, I guess that will have to do… He jumped hearing small whimpers from the living room, he cautiously approached the basket noticing the blue one was staring around with big eyes.

Izuku gave a small smile, "It's all right little fella –."

"Wah! Who are you?!"

Izuku jumped back stunned, It is a child?! "Shh it's okay. What's your name?"

The little blue hedgehog sniffled staring at him with big eyes, "I—I'm… don't know." More tears poured out of his eyes.

The man stared at the creature, Amnesia? He flinched as the yellow one woke up and cried. Oh man what am I going to do?! Izuku quickly went to the television finding a cartoon, "Hey, don't cry. I know it must be scary being in an unfamiliar place and all."

The two creatures gazed at the television settling down as the tears dried. Izuku studied them, he noticed the yellow-fox looking creature had two tails and the blue one was dazed by the cartoon and was whooping with excitement. Something in the back of his mind urged him to name them, he was unaware of the slight glow within the blue hedgehog that triggered the idea for names. Sonic and Tails… "Hey what about the names Sonic and Tails?"

The two creatures perked up by the names, as though it sounded familiar…

Before Longclaw sent the boys away, she suppressed their memories to better hide them and to make it easier on them to blend into the new planet they were living on now. All those little memories are safely tucked away within a crystal. In due time, when they are ready, their memories of Mobius and their uniqueness would be revealed…
