Author's Note
Hello, my name is Poop Goblin, and we here have decided to enter the world of fanfiction with this chum bucket of drabbles, scenes, and brief prompts.. We are new to mass publishing of our work, and welcome all criticism.
Some of the drabbles and scenes here might be expanded into full stories later when i feel more confident in my prose and better integrate writing into my schedule
A big thanks to our mysterious benefactors at the merchants' guild, my girlfriend, and the goblins holding me hostage under threat of death to write this trash.
The Tradition
Lincoln was midway through a panel of the latest comic the company sent his way when he heard his door open, and turned to see his eldest sister and beloved wife entering the studio.
"Hey Lori, you need something?" He asked.
"Lincoln, we need to talk about the tradition for the new baby." She said as she rubbed her stomach.
"The tradition?... Oh, you mean the name thing. Yeah, I was thinking we could go for Luke or Leia, go with a Star Wars theme, you know?"
Lori gave him a dead set stare. "Bunniboo, I love you more than anything in the world, and I think your hobbies are probably the cutest thing about you, but no. I am not naming my 2nd baby after a Star Wars character. Besides, if we did do that, we should save the opportunity til' we have actual twins. No, I actually wanted to talk to you about whether we could... You know... Not?"
"Not what?" He asked.
"Do the L thing, with the first names." She explained.
"What? But it's a tradition, all the others have done it with their kids! You were even dead set on having a Lyra before Luna got to it first."
"I'm still mad at her about that by the way." Lori grumbled.
"Why would we break the chain? It'd be so... Weird."
"Lincoln, you want to talk about weird when you're married to your older sister, and have had a child with said sister, and have plans to make more?"
Lincoln was about to respond before he contemplated for a moment. "Okay, fair point. But why? What is got you thinking we should change the name game?"
"I'm going to be honest, I am literally out of L names. According to my internet searching, the only ones not taken by the others so far are Lolita, and Lauren. I can handle a Lauren, but the internet has ruined the other one entirely. I just can't do this with the L's!"
Lincoln sat in thought for a moment. "What about Laver- no wait, Lynn and Clyde got that one... Uh, Lewis- No, Luan's got that on lockdown... Oh, Letterman-"
"No." Lori very firmly said.
"Dang it..."
"How about Lews Therin?" Loan said from the hall.
"That's not a name Loan." Lori hollered.
"Is too, Mommy. The dragon will be reborn!" Loan declared defiantly before running back to her room.
"What on earth is she talking about?" Lori asked.
"A book thing, don't worry about it. I think I'm starting to see your problem..."
"Finally, now I think I have literally the cutest name for our new baby! You ready?" Lori smiled.
"Hit me." Lincoln said.
"Natalia!" Lori announced with an exaggerated handwave.
"Hmm... Not bad. I still like Luke or Leia though." He shrugged.
"I will literally break every model and doll you have collected if you try to name our baby either of those."
"Natalia it is, I really like it personally, you have such pretty hair!" Lincoln sped past the words.
"That's more like it. Thank you Bunniboo. Tell you what, when we have twins, I'll totally let you name them that." Lori gave Lincoln a soft kiss on the cheek before heading out of the studio.
"How many kids do you want anyhow?" Lincoln asked.
Lori's only response was to laugh. "You're so funny bunniboo."
