The screen starts off with a shot of the night sky and goes down to a girl holding a microphone. The girl looks to be about seventeen. She's very curvy where both the bust and butt are noticeable. She is five foot two, has peach white skin, and has no blemishes or marks to speak of. She is wearing a gray/brown striped shirt with a gray tie, matching dress pants, gray socks, and black shoes. She is also wearing a brown beach hat with a feather up top and white gloves. She then begins to speak in the microphone.
"Welcome to you all ladies and gents. To those of you who are unfortunate, or perhaps fortunate for some of you unlucky debtors, I am Margaret Diablo. Current financer to Chris McClean's current season of Total Drama. Now believe me, I didn't finance him for charity, and he knows it. My condition was that I get to run a spinoff season of my own. And as it just so happens, I'm a big fan or racing and demolition derbies. So, my season is," Suddenly the light turns on one by one. First showing a coliseum, then an obstacle course, follow by a gas station, and finally a judge's booth. Margaret then shouts, "Total DRAMA GRAND PRIX!"
The logo then appears showing a golden 'Total Drama' and a racing flag and two wheels on the bottom left and right of the logo. The wheels then turn and the logo zooms past the screen, showing a metal half circle right in front of a gray, broken down warehouse. Margaret shows up again and says, "For those of you who are watching the current season, Total Drama Dreamland. You should recognize this machine to be the successor of the Dreamcatcher 500. The Dreamcatcher 501, so to speak. Except not, because rather than going through dreams, the machine goes through simulations of several locations around the world. It can also fit cars, motorcycles, and any other machines that are deemed 'race-worthy'."
The camera then shifts to a pit stop, where several familiar faces of Total Drama are currently working on a car with an orange paint job, dented windows, and no tires. Among them are Trent who is standing on the side of the car and, Duncan who's getting a wheel for the car, Cody who's trying to fix the hand mirror, and DJ who's also getting a wheel for the car. They see the camera and start smiling. Margaret then comes on screen and says, "The cars in question will be fixed up for every race with our highly trained pit stop crew." Margaret then gets closer to the camera and muffles her voice, "Or whoever these bozos are."
"Hey!" They all shout.
"Grow up." Margaret shouts back turning her head in the process, "Just be thankful you're getting paid."
The camera then shifts to an electronic screen with Margaret in the middle, "Here's how the season will work." She says and the screen shows up with the number 4 on the top with grand prix on the bottom, and below that, a 12 and races on the bottom. She continues, "There will be four qualifying cups with twelve racers each. The first cup will have twelve racers and for each race and/or derby, they receive points based how well or how horrible they do. Once the cup ends, the four racers with the higher score will automatically advance to the fifth and final cup of the Prix. The four with the lowest will be automatically eliminated from the game, and the remaining four will move on to the next cup along with eight other racers. This process will repeat until the fourth and last qualifying cup, where all but the four who qualify for the final cup will be eliminated. Speaking of the which, the fifth final cup is the big race for all the marbles, and the person who this cup will win a total of 5 million dollars!" Margaret then smirks at the camera, and asks, "Bet you want to know what the four cups are going to be, right? Well, here they are!"
Margaret flashes the screen, and it transitions to a logo. The logo has Total Drama on it in between the teeth of a big cat and its claws being underneath the logo. The big growls and another light appear, with Margaret talking, "The first cup is known as the Survival Cup!" The screen shows several shots of cars hitting and smashing into each other, "This cup is for those who are all about toughness and taking out your opponents. Demolition derbies are the name of the game here, and you'll have to take out your opponents before they do the same to you. Expect to lose more than a few pieces on the track, both your car and you."
Another logo appears with Total Drama, but instead of a big cat, the logo gets wrap by vines and the screen transitions to shots of cars going on long roads and off-road, "Next is the Exploration Cup. Races are long and can take days to finish. Not to mention harsh weather conditions, treacherous terrain, and minimal chances to get gas. In this cup, racers' endurance, durability, and ability to adapt will surely be tested."
Yet another logo appears with Total Drama, this time with four lights shining on the logo with screen transitioning to shots of racers doing stunts off grind rails, and going around obstacles, "The third is cup is the Famous Cup. Rather than races or derbies, this cup is all about tricks and control. There will be plenty of ways for every kind of car to get points and mess with their rivals like fake rails and muddy roads. Get through that and impress the crowd to come out on top of this cup."
The fourth logo for Total Drama just has wheels on speeds away from the screen, and then another transition to shots of racers outracing cops and even dinosaurs, "The fourth and my personal favorite, the Speed Cup. Racers will have to push their cars to the absolute limits to stay in front of ferocious beasts and their competition. If you're going less than top speed here, then you are going too slow. But you also need to rely on tight turning, clever use of shortcuts, and consistent acceleration if you want any hope in this cup."
The fifth and final logo has the Total Drama logo sitting on the top of a trophy with random cheering happening in the background, with another transition happening to random cups crashing into each other or racing to a finish line, "The final cup is where the top sixteen will duke it out to win the grand prize. Each of the previous four cups' main focus will come into play here, all ending in one final race to the finish line and being crowed the winner of Total Drama Grand Prix."
The screen then transitions to Margaret, where she says, "I'm Margaret Diablo, and if you're confident in your chances then start your engines!
The logo appears, and Margaret appears in front and awkwardly says, "Also, I'm looking for a cohost to help me bounce off of in case anyone's interested. Thanks in advance." Margaret swiftly goes back off the screen and the screen fades to black.
Yep. I'm starting a season all about cars and all about racing and demolition. Dreamland is still going to be my main focus, but this is something I wanted to at least get started on at least since there's going to be a lot of racers. 36 to be precise. That and I love racing. Also, to be clear, this season is going to be more open-ended than a typical season. Mostly since cars will likely break down a lot and can't always be repaired in time. Because of this, I'm going to put a way to track a cars' stats at the end of a race or derby, and let you know what effect these stats in the application. Speaking of which, let's get to it.
The Application should be titled Total Drama Grand Prix Racer Application: [Character Name]
Remember, no Mary Sue's or Garry Stu's. And to be clear, while I'll be flexible about the vehicle in question, it should have at least wheels touching the ground.
Also, yes, I'm looking for a cohost for this, I'll put the application for that below the racer's application. To any willing, it'll be Total Drama Grand Prix Cohost application: [Character Name]
