Chapter 1: The destruction of Gallows Point.

Stories told seemingly for thousands of years about two of the most vial and dangerous of pirates there ever was around. Stories told to young children at bedtime to scare them into staying in their beds at night.

"She's one of the most feared person that ever sailed the sea."

"He's absolutely terrifying. If you leave your bed he'll surely grab you up and do away with you in the most dastardly way."

"She'll be waiting for you once you make the decision to leave your bed and we'll never see you again."

"He'll spill your blood without even blinking an eye."

"She'll cut you down without even a second thought."

"He's lightening fast, you'll never see him coming."

"She's swifter that the wind, you won't know what hit you."

"One's things for sure, if you cross either one of their paths - you'd better start praying to the Lord for mercy, because they sure as hell won't give it to you."

The stories circled around for many of years, and if you were lucky enough to live throughout an encounter of either of them, you'd be able to tell one thing for certain.

"Captain Inuyasha Taisho-"

"Captain Kagome Higurashi-"

"Is not human."

Captain Kagome had waist length dark blue hair that oddly shimmered with a fuchsia color when the sun hit it just right. She wore a black bandanna that covered the top of her head and knotted together at the back of her head. Her claws and fangs glistened dangerously in the sunlight and if any of those things were not enough to convince you that she wasn't human, then her eyes surely would-they were a bright fuchsia color that for sure didn't belong on any human. She wore a turquoise jacket that flowed to her knees, with a white short-sleeve shirt underneath it with black baggy sweatpants and brown boots. She, also, wore a bow with bright red wood and a brown quiver full of arrows on her back. To complete her look, on dirty a chain wrapped several times around her left wrist dangled three broken pieces of white jewels that shown with a slight pink hue.

Captain Inuyasha had waist length hair as well, but his was a silver color that shown brilliantly in the sunshine. He wore a red bandanna that covered the top of his head. His claws and fangs - that were just a hair longer than Kagome's - shown with deadly intent when the light of the sun shined down on them. His eyes - some would say were the most fearsome part about him. Sure, they weren't the part that did the killing, but Captain Inuyasha liked to make his prey sweat and squirm by glaring so deadly at the person that begged him to kill them. He wore a bright red jacket that stopped just below his waist with a long-sleeve white shirt underneath and matching red baggy pants with black boots on his feet. He had a beat-up looking sword tied to his hip and he wore a necklace that consisted of black round beads and about ever fifth black bead was a white fang-like bead.

Apart they were ruthless, menaces to society - but if they ever decided to team up, may the Kami have mercy on your soul.

*BREAK*

Captain Kagome stood at the helm's deck with the wheel in her hands and her head tilted back enjoying the Caribbean sun as it liked at her skin with the last rays of sunlight before descending over the horizon. With the sun gone for the night and with a contented sigh she brought her head back down and stared across the vast ocean. A slight smile painted on her face as she looked out as the water sparkled with the moonlight full of love for the deep blue sea.

"Captain!" Kagome heard her first mate call out making her slightly jump. Turning to look as her first mate finished climbing the stairs.

"What is it Sango?"

Sango had thick dark brown hair that reached the middle of her back. She wore a three-cornered hat over a white bandanna. She had cinnamon-colored eyes with natural red full lips and high cheekbones. She wore a bright green jacket that reached to her knees with a short-sleeve white shirt underneath and black baggy pants and brown boots on her feet. She had a giant boomerang tied to her back and a hidden katana up her jacket sleeve. Perched on her shoulder was a little kitten with black markings, two tails and bright red eyes.

Giving her Captain a smirk, Sango pointed behind them. "We have some company."

Kagome followed the direction which Sango's finger was pointing and gestured for Sango to take the wheel. Stepping towards the back of the helm's deck Kagome took out her spy glass and aimed it at the upcoming ship. She zeroed in on a man dressed in a red jacket and red pants with long silver hair standing on his helm's deck waving. Snorting in the back of her throat she lowered the spy glass.

"So, he's finally found us." Kagome smirked as she looked back to find Sango smirking as well. She looked back at the upcoming ship and raised her hand above her head and sent the man a wave in return.

Sango let out a chuckle. "Hmm, it took them about six months to find us this time."

Kagome put her pointer finger to her chin and looked up. "That has to be a record for taking the longest time for one to find the other."

Sango didn't reply, but nodded her agreement as she folded her arms across her chest.

This was sort of a dance between the two captains - a game of cat and mouse if you will - they never wanted to hurt one another, unlike the other pirates. They were just passing the time and keeping a game that's lasted for hundreds of years already going. You see Kagome and Inuyasha grew up together and were quite close to one another. They also had one very big thing in common - they were both half demons making them both outcasts to society. Kagome left first on a pirate ship that happened to stop at their port. Then months later Inuyasha boarded on a different pirate ship that was passing through. Through dedication and hard work, they both made their names on their ships and quickly climb the ladder until they, themselves, became captains of their ships. However, even though they were close Inuyasha didn't know the full reason why Kagome left - nor did Kagome know the reason why Inuyasha decided to leave.

*BREAK*

Letting his arm fall back by his side, Inuyasha's smirk grew just a touch bigger as his first mate stepped just beside him.

"It took us quite a few months to find them this time. Almost six months." The man commented.

Inuyasha turned to look at him with his smirk still in place. "So, it has, Miroku, so, it has."

"That has to be a record for the longest time." Miroku said as he straightened out his flamboyant purple jacket with a black short-sleeve shirt underneath. His short black hair tied at the nape of his neck with a matching purple bandanna on folded together so that it rested across his forehead and tied at the back of his head and black baggy pants and his eyes were a deep brown in color. He had a monks staff that he carried with him at all times and silver beads on a string wrapped around his right hand and perched on his shoulder was a small fox tyke with bright green eyes, a dark green shirt and black pants. The little boys hair was red and his eyes were a brilliant green. "Wouldn't you say Shippo?" Miroku asked the fox child.

"Oh, yes! A record." Shippo nodded in excitement at being included in the conversation.

Miroku gave Shippo a half smile as he looked up towards the sky with his pointer finger touching his chin as he thought back on all the other times they found each other and the duration between each time. "Yup, a record, indeed." Miroku nodded to himself as his hand fell back into place at his side.

Captain Inuyasha scoffed but didn't disagree. "If we didn't have to stop to resupply and if that damn navy ship didn't show up out of nowhere - basically begging to get raided - it wouldn't have taken this long." He sighed. "Speaking of the navy ship we'll have to go to Tortuga to sell the shit we pillaged off the ship."

"Take down the sails and lower the anchor!" Inuayasha heard Kagome commanding her crew and watched as the crew jumped to complete her orders.

Inuyasha waited a few more minutes before he gave the same command. Waiting till he was just behind Captain Kagome's ship before he commanded his crew to drop the anchor and lower the sails.

"Oh, Captain Inuyasha!" Kagome called out as his ship came to a stop right next to hers. "What a pleasure it be to see you again after so long! I would take me hat off for ye, if I were wearing one." Kagome smirked.

"Ah, Captain Kagome, The pleasures all mine!" Captain Inuyasha did a mock bow.

"Hi, Captain Kagome!" The young Shippo called out waving his hand excitedly.

"Hi, there, Shippo-chan!" Kagome called back to him and a fond smile on her face.

Shippo smiled brightly at the nickname.

"My dear, Sango!" Miroku interrupted before Kagome and Shippo could finish their conversation. "How I've missed you, so!"

Sango rolled her eyes, but a smirk grew on her face. "How interesting, but I haven't missed you."

Miroku grabbed his chest over his heart in mock hurt. "Oh, how you wound me greatly."

Sango snorted and rolled her eyes again but didn't reply. This was another dance that was danced between the two ships. Miroku claiming his undying love for Sango and Sango pretending not to be interested in him.

"So, what brings you to these waters? You know, besides looking for me. You couldn't have known I came up this way." Kagome asked.

"Well, I was looking for a reason to come up here anyway." Inuyasha shrugged. "And seeing as we're so close to Port Royal I thought we'd, I dunno, pay a visit to Gallows Point?" Captain Inuyasha suggested as he scratched his chin. "You know, just for the hell of it."

"Oh yeah? And what do you plan on doing to The Gallows?" Kagome asked while smirking and crossing her arms over her chest, already having a good idea what his plan was.

Inuyasha dropped his hand back at his side. "What else?" He shrugged once again. "But, to destroy it?"

Kagome's smirked widened. "Oh, how fun!"

"It should be." Inuyasha crossed his arms across his chest before opening one eye and looking at Kagome. "You wanna come?"

A fire erupted in Kagome's eyes as a determined look came across her face. "Absolutely." She looked at Sango and saw the same determined look on Sango's face and the fire burning in her eyes. They knew many a pirate personally and were friends with a good number of them. This was a sort of revenge for them as much as it was as a weird type of therapy. The same could be said for Inuyasha and Miroku and everybody else that was present on both ships.

"I can make my ship invisible, but can I make Inuyasha's ship invisible as well?" Kagome mused out loud.

"I bet you can." Sango encouraged. "I mean something as important as this it wouldn't hurt to have the added benefit as being invisible."

Kagome nodded. "For something like this, I'm willing to try." She said as she turned towards Inuyasha. "Captain Inuyasha! I'm going to attempt to make both of our ships invisible! If it works, you'll have to stay as close to me as possible!"

Inuyasha nodded. "Sounds like a plan."

Kagome took a deep breath and closed her eyes as she concentrated first on her ship and then on Inuyasha's.

Inuyasha watched in amazement as he witnessed an unnatural wind surround Kagome making her dark blue hair fly around her, the moonlight catching some strands of hair just right to make them briefly change from dark blue to fuchsia then back to dark blue faster than an ordinary eye could catch. 'She's absolutely amazing.' He thought to himself as he watched Captain Kagome's ship slowly disappear before he couldn't see anything, not even the people aboard.

"Look!" Miroku exclaimed as he pointed to the front of the ship. "She's doing it!"

Inuyasha smirked again as he watched as his ship slowly started to disappear and as his ship was completely invisible, he was able to see Captain Kagome, her crew and her ship once again. Once Sango noticed that both ships were invisible, she shouted orders for the crew to drop the sails and lift the anchor. Before he could say anything, Miroku started to yell the same orders preparing to lead Kagome's ship to Gallows Point.

"Ready the cannons!" Both Sango and Miroku yelled at the same time the moment the ships started to move.

As The Gallows came into view the two captains and the two quartermasters smirked at the thought of Gallows Point blowing up into pieces. Not one person, human, half or full demon could deny the great pleasure that thought brought on.

Sailing up right beside it and angling both ships so not to hit the other with cannon fire both captains yelled out fire to signify the start of their revenge. Great satisfaction filled every person to the point of their whole being at the sight of the first cannons striking The Gallows making splinters of wood fly everywhere.

"So, how long do you think they will come for us?" Shippo asked out loud as he jumped off of Miroku's shoulder to the helm's deck between Captain Inuyasha and Miroku.

Looking up at the night sky then looking at the sleeping town of which he could hear the shouts and screams of the once sleeping society as another round of cannons rent the air with their loud fire off. "Hmm, maybe after a couple more rounds of cannons then they'll be here." He nodded to himself.

*BREAK*

A man running as fast as he could from his medium sized house to the biggest house in the whole town and in his panic busted through the door without knocking. Panting with his heart thumping with panic in his chest he almost ran right into the Governor as he was trying to run outside. "Mr. Naraku, Sir!" The man wheezed trying to catch his breath as he just narrowly missed running into the most powerful man in the whole town.

"What the hell is going on?" Naraku growled.

"Something is attacking Gallows Point, Sir!"

"What do you mean 'something'? What is it?" Naraku ground out between clenched teeth as they both started running out the door and towards The Gallows.

"Well, whatever is attacking us, is invisible." The man explained.

Naraku stopped dead in his tracks as the information seeped in. "Invisible!?" He yelled gnashing his teeth together. "What do you mean invisible?"

Naraku didn't wait for an answer before he started running again, knowing the man would follow. Arriving at Gallows point it felt as if someone knocked the air out of Naraku's lungs as he watched yet another round of cannons from an unknown source hit The Gallows.

"What the fuck is going on!?" He yelled as his eyes were frantically searching the sea for any signs of the attacker. Then a memory sparked within his mind of something that happened about a year ago of pirates invading the town and then a few months before that incident his house was destroyed by cannon fire from the very same pirates. He wasn't home when his house had been destroyed, he was held up in a meeting, but his slaves were there and most of them lost their lives that day - not that he cared, it was just a pain to replaced them all and that pissed him off more than the deaths of the people working in his house.

He growled under his breath at the memories of chasing the pirates that dared destroy his town and to steal from the same town. However, every time that he thought he had caught them the damn ship and vanished! One name came to his mind at that moment as he watched the invisible dome slowly fall away revealing two ships.

"Captain Kagome." He whispered with malice laced in his voice as he watched the very woman, he deeply hated to the core of his very being and the woman he only knew as her quartermaster wave with smirks on their faces. With a dark expression painted on his face as his eyes flicked towards the second ship and saw a man he had only heard of in stories as he stood on his helm's deck with a man, he didn't know standing beside him was none other than "Captain Inuyasha." He whispered in fascination as he watched both men waved with matching smirks on their faces. Before Naraku even knew it both ships were once again invisible.

"Captain Inuyasha? But he never comes this way." The man standing next to Naraku informed, but Naraku didn't respond. "What do we do, Sir?"

"Ready my ship, Mr. Hojo. When I return with those pirate bastards in my custody, we'll start the reconstruction of The Gallows so I can hang them my-fucking-self!" Naraku growled as he watched Hojo nod then turn and ran as he went to do what had been ordered of him.
