I don't own any of this Ed, Edd N Eddy belongs to Danny Antonucci and IT belongs to Stephen King.
The terror that plagued a group of kids for their lifetime and has terrorized them for the past 27 years began on a rainy day in the first day of May. Summer vacation is just a month away and many of the local children of the cul-de-sac are really looking forward for three months of freedom. Soon they will be roaming around the neighborhood: playing games with each other, showing off new tricks on their bike, and overall enjoy themselves on not being stuck in school. One aspect that the local children expected though is that three other kids, who are the local outcasts around here are going to start a new set of scams to get their money.
The kids are wise to these scams that these three boys make and will gladly beat them up if any of their scams goes wrong, like they usually do. Of course there is another trio of kids that are far more worse than any scam the outcasts can ever make, these are of course the infamous Kanker Sisters who live in the trailer park. The kids know that once summer comes the Kankers will be out in full force, but yet despite the ever present danger of the Kanker Sisters, the kids are still looking forward to the upcoming summer.
Now normally the kids would be goofing off on such a weekend like this, but unfortunately because of this rain storm. They're forced to stay inside, including the young Jimmy who at this moment is busy making some cookies in his oven. Looking at the baking cookies through the oven window with a hungry smile. Jimmy just couldn't wait to get at these cookies as the cookies looked good enough to eat, he just needs to wait for 15 minutes and then he'll be happily eating them, well also saving some for his best friend Sarah.
Clapping his hands together in joy and said in equal happiness. "Goodie, goodie. My cookies are almost done." He happily skips away from his oven, and wandered on over to his personal mirror where he happily began to comb his curly hair. This is the life for our young Jimmy. He just loves to comb his hair into various styles before going back to his regular hairstyle as he happily sings a song.
Combing his hair into a unicorn horn, Jimmy admires it greatly when the phone began to ring. "I wonder who that can be?" Going up to the phone, Jimmy picked it up and smiled when he heard Sarah's voice on the other end. "Hello Jimmy."
"Oh, hello Sarah. How are you on this fine day?"
"I'm doing fine. Though my idiot brother got on my nerves today." He heard Sarah replied with a growl at the end.
"What that big lummox do this time?" Jimmy asked.
"He was playing monsters again. He was being loud, annoying, and wreaking things. He got on my nerves so much that I had to bash his head through the wall." Sarah snickered. "That shut him up good."
Jimmy can't help but snicker as well for he always liked it when one of those Eds got what's coming to them. "Yeah it did."
"Anyway Jimmy, I called because I want to know if you still had that perfume?"
"Cherry Good or Rosa Smell Good?" Jimmy asked.
"Rosa Smell Good." Sarah answered.
"Yep, I still have it. Why do you ask?"
"My dollies are going to spend the day at a beauty salon."
Feeling his eyes sparkle from the answer, he practically squeals in delight as he loved doing things that involves fashion or body care. "Can I play beauty salon to Sarah?" He asks with joy.
"Of course Jimmy. The more the merrier." Sarah replied in equal joy as playing together is what they always liked to do.
"All right, I'll be there in about 15 minutes."
"All right Jimmy. I'll see you then." The other end of the phone clicks, signaling that the call is now over. Putting the phone back on the receiver, Jimmy felt utter joy as this day officially got better. He quickly pulled out the Rosa Smell Good perfume from a drawer and on to a table, so that he could grab it when he heads out later.
After a couple of minutes; the oven dings, signaling that the cookies were now done. Putting on his oven mitts Jimmy pulls out the tray and places it on the counter down in the kitchen in order for them to cool. "Cookies are done. Now I can head on over to Sarah's."
Heading back up to his room, Jimmy heads into his closet and put on a rain jacket and an umbrella. With him now dressed for the rain, Jimmy went on over to where he placed the perfume and picked it up, went down the stairs, and then goes out of his house and into the very damp weather. Rain pelts down his rain hat, dripping down from the edge while also pelting against his rain coat. Opening up his umbrella with a whoosh, Jimmy places it over his head, blocking the rain from hitting him.
The travel to Sarah's house shouldn't be too long, he'll be there rather quickly. Skipping out of his yard, Jimmy began to happily sing along as he skipped his way down the sidewalk, kicking up puddles from he each step he took. Despite the rather wet weather, Jimmy liked it when it rains as the cul-de-sac is quiet with no sounds of Kevin's bike speeding down the street, Rolf's animals making noise, or Johnny having his dance battles against Plank. Another great thing about the rain is that the Eds can't do any of their scams, that's definitely a big highlight from this weather.
Continuing to skip down the sidewalk, Jimmy doesn't notices a stick on the sidewalk, until his foot stepped on it and then slips on the stick. He falls to the asphalt with a bang, spilling his umbrella and the perfume out of his hands. "Owie." Jimmy cried as he got up on his knees.
He picks up his fallen umbrella, then goes to pick up his perfume which wasn't on the sidewalk. Where did it go? Looking around his surroundings, Jimmy eventually spots it being carried down on a stream on the side of the road. Panic fills Jimmy who quickly got himself up and chase after the perfume with out stretched hands, ready to grab it out of the stream. Unfortunately the current is too fast and keeps the perfume out of Jimmy's reach.
Looking ahead of him, Jimmy saw that the current headed right towards a storm drain. "Oh no!" Jimmy makes a desperate jump to catch his perfume, he misses the perfume by just inches and instead his hand just splashed down into the stream of flowing water. From this spot he is now laying on, Jimmy helplessly watches his perfume get closer to the gaping storm drain, he just got back up on his feet when the perfume fell into the storm drain.
"No!" Racing up to the storm drain, Jimmy looked down it in dread as he tried to see it. The storm drain however is too dark and by the sound of that water going into it his perfume is as well as gone. "Oh, what am I going to tell Sarah?" He cried.
Getting up off his knees, Jimmy looked down to his knees and saw that in his dismay that they are stained, wet, and a little ripped on the right kneecap. "Oh darn it."
Moving a few feet away from the storm drain, Jimmy is about to continue on his journey towards Sarah's when a voice called out from the storm drain. "Excuse me young lad."
Stopping in his tracks in great surprise, Jimmy came back to the storm drain and is astonished to see a clown looking up at him with a very kind grin. "Aren't you going to say hello?" The clown asks in a cheery voice.
Jimmy couldn't believe this. There was an actual clown in the storm drain, what was he doing down there is a very big question for that's the last spot he would suspect to be seeing a clown, he actually began to feel a little afraid as this is very strange for him. The clown smile grew wider. "You look like a nice boy. I bet you got a ton of friends."
"Y-yes. I have tons of friends, but Sarah is my very best friend." Jimmy nervously replied.
"That's very nice. Very nice indeed. Am I your friend?" The clown asks.
"I d-don't really know you m-m-mister." Jimmy replied with a little shake of his body.
The clown let's out a little laugh. "Silly me. I forgot to introduce myself. I am Mr. Bob Gray, otherwise known as Pennywise The Dancing Clown and you are Jimmy. Now that we know each other's names, we must be friends."
"How do you know my name?" An uneasy feeling came to Jimmy at that moment for some stranger couldn't have known your name on their first meeting.
"You look like a Jimmy." The clown replied with a shrug of his shoulders.
"Oh. Well mister, I better get going now for Sarah is expecting me." Jimmy begins to get up, but Pennywise's voice stops him. "Wait a second Jimmy."
Looking back down, Jimmy gasped as the clown has got his perfume right in his gloved hand. "Don't you want this back? It's some lovely perfume you got right here and I'm sure you want it."
"You saved my perfume!" Jimmy exclaimed in joy, the fear that he had for the clown had faded away a bit when he saw that perfume bottle.
"Exactly kiddo. You just need to reach in and take it." The clown stated before holding up a red balloon. "Along with a free balloon."
Jimmy goes to reach his perfume, but stopped just sort of the storm drain opening. He just has to know something first. "Why are you down there in the sewer?"
"I got caught in the storm, it just blew the whole circus away. Can you just smell the circus Jimmy? There's hot dogs, cotton candy, popcorn, corn dogs, rides, and animals down here."
Leaning in closer Jimmy could indeed smell and hear a circus down there in the sewer, along with the faint bad smell of the sewer. "Now would you like a balloon with the perfume?" Pennywise asked again. "I only ask again because you look unsure."
"Are the balloons good?"
"Oh yes, they float just fine."
Reaching for the storm drain again, Jimmy places his hand inside the storm drain getting pretty close to the clown, who smiled wider as his eye color changed into yellow. "When you're down here with me Jimmy. You'll float too."
Jimmy's fingers brushes against the bottle of his perfume when the clown suddenly took his hand with a tight grip and opened his mouth up wide like a snake, where rows of sharp teeth are revealed. As quick as a flash the clown leaned forward and bit down on Jimmy's arm, with a sharp yank the clown tears the arm right out of its socket as Jimmy screamed in both terror and pain as a great amount of blood flowed out.
At her house; Sarah wondered on what in the world is keeping Jimmy? He really should've been here by now. What no one knew at the time however was that Jimmy will be the first out of many children to be found dead or in other cases missing as a new cycle has begun on that tragic day.
