(…Sooooo… Yeah. This is my first Dinosaur King fanfiction… Yes, I know, why Dinosaur King? Well to start off I started watching Dinosaur King for the nostalgia trip and I stumbled across a story on this site named Dinosaur Kingmade by Drew Luczynski and it's a really good story that I recommend that you check it out. But yeah, as we all know Dinosaur King has been over for like years now. Like, the entire franchise is dead. Anime is over and the game is done. No new updates on the franchise at all. It's been over for a long time now. But after rewatching the show and reading Drew's story, I started to create a villain in my head. Like I thought up of how the villain's defeat would go and it never left my mind. Eventually I wrote a whole fucking biography on him to which at that point I knew, "Okay, I need to write this story down pronto before it leaves my mind like everything else." and so here we are.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy this story KOKBYE!)

In a small town named Monroe in the state of Washington, many people were walking down the streets, enjoying their day and minding their business. The sun was shining, the birds were chirping, and the only sounds were that of people chatting amongst themselves and the car engines. It was an all around peaceful day. One particular man was inside a grocery store, paying for his items; this man wore black glasses and had a thin chinstrap beard and mustache and had short unkempt brown hair. The outfit the man wore was nothing more but casual clothing, not unique in any way. He wore a black unzipped hoodie with a red shirt underneath with a large pirate skull symbol on it, black jeans with red Armour basketball shoes.

"2.70 is your change." the cashier tells the man.

"Thank you." the man tells the cashier.

"Have a nice day."

"Hm-mm. You too." After paying for his items, which were stuffed into a single shopping bag, the man walked out of the store and down the sidewalk, having a blank expression on his face. "Good thing the currency doesn't change." he mumbles to himself. At that moment, a glare shined into his eye, catching his attention. "Huh?"

He turned to where the glare came from and noticed it was coming from inside the small forest next to the town. The man went off his usual route to figure out where the glare was coming from. He walked into the forest where he eventually found out where the glare originated from, stopping the man in his tracks as he looked down. Down below in a bush was an egg capsule, the same kind that held dinosaur cards before.

"No." he says to himself in disbelief.

He dropped his groceries before bending down and grabbing the capsule, opening it soon afterwards. Inside the capsule was a dinosaur card, more specifically, a Calamosaurus dinosaur card.

"I'll be damned." the man mumbles to himself as he held the dinosaur card in his hand.

Unbeknownst to him, another capsule not far from him was also in a bush, except this one was already opened, revealing another dinosaur card along with another unknown card. The wind picked up the card as it blew over to a nearby ashtray, where a recently put out cigarette was inside said tray. The card came into contact with the barely lit cigarette before it glowed red as the card activated.

"Huh?" the man says as he turned to where the bright light was coming from.

There he saw a fully grown, and very much alive, Albertosaurus, who roared into the air. The man, instead of running, stood up and stared at the prehistoric beast, an awestruck expression on his face as he watched the carnivore walk away, not noticing his presence. As the Albertosaurus walked away, the man glanced back at the Calamosaurus card, a calm expression as he just stared into the card. He suddenly glanced back at the walking beast before glancing back at the card, the same emotionless expression still on his face.

"Interesting." he mumbles to himself.

Dinosaur King: Prehistoric Peril

A teenaged boy with spiky brown hair and a visor with two horns on top suddenly opened his eyes, revealing that he was in a black void of nothing. The teenaged boy looked all around, seeing nothing but darkness, but could still see himself nonetheless. "Hello?" he called out, nobody answering. At that moment, he heard a familiar squeak behind him. Turning around, he saw a yellow chibi triceratops. "Chomp!" he calls out to the chibi dinosaur. "I thought I would never see you again!"

The triceratops, now formerly known as Chomp, bit the teenaged boy's nose, earning a laugh from him. At that moment, a loud roar was heard all around the boy as he suddenly looked up. All of a sudden, the black void soon disappeared as a whole new world took over, one full of luscious green plants and trees, clean water, and many, MANY dinosaurs. The boy looked all around him, seeing nothing but dinosaurs, giving him the biggest smile he had ever had. It was like he was in a dream.

"Max." says a female voice.

The boy turned around to see a blonde boy in a blue jacket with a large dinosaur tooth necklace hanging over his neck, staring up at him. "Rex?" he says in a confused tone.

"Max." This time, Chomp was the one who said his name in the same female voice.

"Chomp? I thought you were a guy."

"MAX TAYLOR!" Chomp yells.

The teenaged boy, now known as Max Taylor, suddenly woke up in a panic by the sound of his name being called, followed by an unfinished snore. "I'm up! I'm up! What happened?! What's going on?! The answer is hamburgers!" Max says in a panic.

Every student in the classroom all giggled in response, all except a certain pink haired female sitting in the back row, whom merely gave her friend an unamused look before rolling her eyes. "Max Taylor, do you have anything to say to yourself about sleeping in my class?" the teacher asks in an angry tone.

Max blinked his eyes while a dumbfounded expression was on his face. "Uuuuuh… Was I close?" he asks innocently, nervously chuckling afterwards.

"I can't believe I got a week's worth of detention." Max complains as he walked down the sidewalk with his friend Zoe.

"What else do you expect when you sleep in class?" Zoe asks in a smug tone with a smug smile. "What were you dreaming about anyway?"

Max suddenly grew a crestfallen face. "I was dreaming about Rex and Chomp. We were in the Cretaceous Period." Max reveals. "This isn't the first time too. I've had this dream for a week now. Maybe it's because I just miss them so much. He was like a brother to me."

"Oh." Zoe says in the same tone.

It was two years since their friends had left in the Space Pirate's ship and traveled back to their home in the future. The first few days were extremely hard for the two but eventually got used to the fact that their friend was not only gone but was finally home with his parents. They also missed their dinosaur pets, Chomp, Ace, and Paris, and even to an extent, the Alpha Gang.

Over the two years, the two friends had changed in appearance. Max was taller but still kept his spiky brown hair, albeit a little shorter, but still retained his signature triceratops visor. His new outfit consisted of an orange shirt with a dinosaur skull symbol on it, topped with a red cargo vest and a small velociraptor claw necklace. Down below, he had baggy orange cargo pants with the cuffs stuffed inside his red shoes. He also kept his red fingerless gloves, although they were much shorter than the original.

Zoe still had her pink hair although it was now in a single ponytail but still retained her pink goggles/camera lenses on top of her forehead, along with a choker. She wore a yellow denim jacket with the sleeves rolled up, a gray short cut shirt underneath with her belly button exposed. She also sported two green cuffs around her wrists while also wearing a yellow skirt with green and white striped stockings, finished by a pair of black rocker boots.

"I know it's been two years but I still miss them." Zoe says in the same crestfallen tone.

"Yeah, me too." Max replies before smiling a bit. "But at least we'll always remember him and that he's always apart of the D-Team."

"Yeah. I just wish we could see him again." Zoe says to her friend.

"Who knows? Maybe someone will build a time machine when we're older." Max thinks optimistically.

"I hope that'll happen. That way we could be reunited with Rex and the others. Paris."

"And Ace and Chomp." Max finishes.

At that moment, Zoe's phone began ringing as she pulled it out of her pocket, answering it. "Hello?... Oh Reese. I just got out of school and… Wait, what?!" she shouts in disbelief.

"What is it?" Max asks.

"We'll be over right away!" Zoe responds before hanging up. "That was Reese!"

"Uh, yeah, I know. What did she want?" Max asks in a sarcastic tone.

"The Dino Detector just activated and it detected a dinosaur!" Zoe tells her friend.

"HUH?!"

In the D-Lab, Reese, whom had shorter hair and no longer wore glasses, was working on the computer while Max's father, paleontologist Dr. Spike Taylor, stood beside her, both baffled at the screen in front of them. "Are you sure it's not a virus?" Spike asks.

"I'm sure, Dr. Taylor." Reese replies, still retaining her same monotone voice. "This computer is installed with the latest antivirus software. No virus or hacker could penetrate the firewalls, unless they were from the future. No, this is a real dinosaur located on the detector."

"How odd." Spike commented.

"We came as soon as we heard!" shouts Max as he and Zoe enter the lab.

"Is it really a dinosaur?!" Zoe asks her older sister.

"It really is." Reese answers.

"Where's it at?" Max asks as he and Zoe approach the two.

"In a small town in Washington, called Monroe in the United States." Reese replies.

"Woah! Washington! You mean the one with the White House?!" Max asks, getting all excited.

"Max, that's Washington D.C.. This is the state of Washington, not the capital." Zoe tells her friend in an unamused tone.

"Aw. That's dumb. Why would they have two states named Washington?" Max mumbles as he pouts.

"No, that's- Oh, forget it." Zoe gives up immediately, realizing it was pointless in trying to teach Max basically anything.

"Well, what're you kids waiting for? Go after that dinosaur and bring it back!" Spike tells the kids as he smiles enthusiastically, dancing uncontrollably.

"Dad, we can't. Remember?" Max tells his father.

"Huh?" Spike replies, a dumbfounded expression on his face.

"Yeah, we don't have dinosaurs to battle it with." Zoe adds.

"Huh?"

"Besides, there's no way for the kids to be transported there since they don't have the stones." Reese adds on.

"Huh? Oh. Yeah, I forgot." Spike says in a depressed tone as he slumped forward, a dejected expression on his face.

The four continued to look at the flashing dot on the screen. "So what do we do?" Max asks.

"Nothing." Reese says. "All we can do is just hope and someone in that town takes care of it. Highest probability would be that the government would send the army to capture and contain the dinosaur before putting it up for display for tourists… That or send in animal control."

All of a sudden, a loud boom was heard across the sky, startling everyone in the D-Lab. "What was that?!" Zoe asks in a panicked tone.

The ground suddenly began to shake as everyone grabbed a hold of everything to hang on. "Are we having an earthquake?!" Max asks as he clinged onto the railing.

"There weren't supposed to be any earthquakes until later this year!" Reese replies.

"Make it stop! Make it stop! Make it stop!" Spike pleads as he cowered underneath a table.

Max suddenly looked out the window and gasped upon realizing what the cause of the loud boom and earthquake was. In the sky was none other than the Backlander , which had just exited a time vortex before hovering above the D-Lab. "No way!" Max shouts in awe.

"What?! What is it?!" Zoe asks her friend.

Suddenly, the rumbling stopped as everything came to a halt. "It stopped." Spike says. Immediately afterwards, Max ran towards the exit, confusing everyone. "Max!"

"Wait! Max! Where are you going?!" Zoe asks as she runs after her friend.

Max burst through the doors of the D-Lab as he exited the building, looking up into the sky with an awestruck expression. Zoe followed suit as she caught her breath, panting as she approached her hyperactive friend

"Max! What were you… running… for…?"

Zoe soon stopped her words as she also grew an awestruck expression as she looked up at the Backlander in the sky. Reese and Dr. Taylor soon ran out of the building as they too grew awestruck expressions upon seeing the return of the Backlander. Max and Zoe were the most awestruck as they couldn't take their eyes away from the Backlander, as if it was a movie they just couldn't miss. A rainbow colored light beamed down onto the ground as a single figure walked out of it, revealing a familiar face.

"Rex!" All four gasped.

Rex Ancient, formerly known as Rex Owen, was back with a smile, and had shorter blonde hair but still retained his dinosaur tooth necklace. He now had a blue sleeveless hoodie with a tan long sleeve shirt underneath. Down below, he sported a pair of tan cargo pants with the cuffs stuck inside a pair of blue and white shoes.

"Hi, guys." Rex nervously says to his friends with a smile.

Instantly, he was shoved to the ground by Max and Zoe as they hugged him to death, both crying that they were seeing their friend again.

"Rex! We missed you!" Max tells his friend.

"We thought we would never see you again!" Zoe also says.

"Guys. Getting. Harder. To. Breathe!" Rex says in an exasperated tone.

"Oh, sorry." Max apologized as the two got off of him. He offered his friend a hand, to which Rex gladly took as he helped him up. "It's so good to see you again."

"Same here." Rex replies.

"What're you doing here anyway?" Zoe asks, curious as to why he traveled back in time.

"I bet he missed us so much that he begged his parents to travel back in time just to see us. Isn't it? I'm right, aren't I? Come on, no need to be shy about it. You big softie." Max teased his friend as he began poking him, agitating Rex with each poke.

"Knock it off, Max!" Rex yells at his friend, startling him.

Rex glared at his friend before a warm smile took over, to which Max reciprocated, both knowing that Rex wasn't at all serious about his anger. The two suddenly hugged each other before Zoe joined in, all three of them with tears in their eyes.

"I missed you guys so much." Rex tells the two, tears forming in his eyes.

"We did too." Zoe replies, still hugging onto her friend as tears also formed in her eyes.

Reese had a warm smile on her face as Spike was practically a sobbing mess, holding a tissue he seemingly got out of nowhere. "I promised myself I wouldn't cry." Spike reveals, on the verge of crying.

"You promised yourself you wouldn't cry when Rex would come back?" Reese asks, confused about the specific situation.

"No." Spike reveals before sobbing uncontrollably before blowing his nose into his tissue.

"So what are you doing here?" Max asks his friend, ecstatic that he was back.

Rex's smile suddenly disappeared as a more serious expression took over. "There's something that is going on involving both our timelines." Rex replies.

"What do you mean?" Max asks.

"He means that it would appear that dinosaur cards have been scattered all over the world yet again." a deep voice replies as the rainbow light beamed down to Earth, revealing Jonathan. "Hello there." he greets the kids.

"Aw, that's amazing! Jonathan's here too!" Max exclaims in excitement.

"So does that mean Dr. Ancient and Dr. Cretacia are here as well?" Spike asks as he and Reese approach the four.

"That's correct. They're up in the ship as we speak, trying to figure out why some of the cards have been scattered." Jonathan replies.

"It would help if we brought you up there so you could ask them yourselves." Rex replies.

"Alright! Cool! I've missed your parents!" Max responds in a giddy tone.

"Speaking of parents, how is my dad? Erm, I mean Dr. Owen." Rex asks after correcting himself.

"He's doing well, Rex. In fact, Dr. Owen is actually over in Monroe, Washington for an excavation." Spike reveals.

"Oh! I forgot!" Zoe suddenly yelled out.

"What is it?" Rex asks.

"We found one of your dinosaur cards!" Zoe reveals.

"No way?! Really?! Where?!" Rex asks.

"In Monroe. Same place your dad is at right now." Max replies.

"This is incredible! We have to tell my parents right away! Jonathan, can you beam us up?" Rex asks his android butler and guardian.

"As you wish, Master Rex." Jonathan complied as a rainbow beam surrounded and captured the group before transporting them inside the Backlander.

"Beam us up, Jonny!" Max quips, earning a few groans from the group, aside from his dad.

"You beat me by one second." Spike reveals in a dejected tone.

The group were soon inside the Backlander, bringing back memories for Max and Zoe, finding out nothing has changed since the last time they were in it. "Aw man, this is awesome. Except nothing has changed since we were in it." Max says in a less excited tone.

I just said that.

"Look, it's Helga!" Zoe pointed out to the android maid by the controls.

I just said that!

"Hello, children." Helga greeted the group in her German accent. "Und how have you been?"

"Wait a minute. If Helga is here, then does that mean-?"

"Hahahahaha! Yes!" shouts a familiar female voice, cutting Max off. "You brats thought you would never see us again, didn't you?" asks a familiar green haired young woman.

"It's the old lady!" Zoe exclaims in surprise.

"COME ON! YOU JUST SHOWED UP AND YOU'RE ALREADY CALLING ME AN OLD LADY?! I THOUGHT YOU WOULD'VE PASSED THAT PHASE BY NOW!" Ursula yelled at Zoe, being restrained by Ed and Zander.

"Ursula! Calm down!" Ed tells his adoptive sister.

"Remember your blood pressure." Zander tells her.

"Blood pressure? Man, you are old." Max says in a 'matter of fact' kind of tone.

Ursula dragged the two men behind her as he got up close and personal with Max. "LISTEN HERE YOU LITTLE BRAT! I AM NOT OLD! I AM YOUNG! I'M AS YOUNG AS I CAN BE! LOOK AT ME! SMOOTH SKIN, NO WRINKLES! ALL SKIN BABY! SO STOP CALLING ME AN OLD LADY!" Ursula screamed at the child.

Max was silent for a brief moment as he had a blank expression on his face. "Old lady." he mumbled.

Ursula's face ran red as steam flew out of her ears. "ERAAAAAAAAGH!" Ursula screamed into the air. "DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA… how much I've actually missed being called old?" Ursula asks as she suddenly smiled, a tear dripping down her cheek.

Max was confused for a brief moment before he and Zoe both grew warm smiles. "Nice to see you too, Ursula." Zoe warmly tells her former enemy.

"And you too, Ed and Zander. How have things been up with you two?" Max asks the two lackeys.

"Getting in more trouble?" Spike asks the gang.

"Oh please. Would we ever cause trouble?" Zander asks.

"Do we really need to answer that?" Zoe skeptically asks with a raised eyebrow.

"Actually, the Alpha Gang have been helping us ever since they came back." Rex reveals.

"We tried looking for work but no one was hiring villainous henchmen." Zander adds on.

"Plus Dr. Z didn't allow us to help anyone else but him anyway." Ed states.

"Not to mention Helga pretty much forced us to help them as a punishment for giving them so much trouble in the past." Ursula finishes.

"Where is he, anyway? I bet he's trying to steal some more dinosaur cards." Max says, not forgetting Dr. Z's crazy idea of being the dinosaur king.

The trio suddenly looked down with depressed expressions on their faces. "He's in a better place now." Zander reveals in a crestfallen tone. Both Max and Zoe gasped as they two went silent, mourning the loss of their former enemy.

"I'm gonna miss him to be honest." Zoe replies.

"Yeah, same." Max says, both of them having crestfallen expressions as well.

"Us too." the trio said in union like they always do.

"We would wake him up and tell him we're back in time but we don't want to disturb him when he's in his Dream Helmet." Ed replies, causing everyone to fall down anime style upon realizing the faux information.

"Dream Helmet?" Reese asks the short, chubby man.

"It's a device the doctor created to help alleviate stress by going into his dreams. So far, all he's been dreaming about are two things. One is being the dinosaur king, and the other is being a famous ballerina dancer." Jonathan replies.

"Huh? I could actually use one of those." she mumbles to herself. At that moment, Zander got up to her face, examining it, creeping Reese out a bit. "Uh? Is something the matter?"

"Who are you?" Zander asks. He suddenly saw a vision of Reese back when he last saw her standing in front of him, replacing the Reese that was standing in front of him in real time. Almost instantly, he recognized her as his heart began beating a mile per minute. Music started playing as Zander suddenly began to dance around Reese. "Ohh, myyy aaangeeeee! I love my dinosaaaaaur! But when I look into your eyes, I think I love you mooooore! Be my Jurassic valentiiiine!" Zander sang before being kicked away by his adoptive sister.

"Now's not the time for love songs!" Ursula yells at him.

"But, I kinda liked it." Reese reveals, a slight blush on her face with a small smile to top it off.

"HUH?!" Zoe exclaims at her sister as she gawks at her.

"The old lady's right." Rex replies.

"Hey!" Ursula yelled in the background.

"Right now, we have bigger problems."

"Let's see your parents right away then!" Spike enthusiastically exclaims as he fixed his hat with a huge grin on his face.

Dr. Ancient and Dr. Cretacia were currently in the laboratory of the Backlander, a world map in front of them with determined expressions on their faces. "They could be anywhere. And we have no idea how it happened." Cretacia says to her husband.

"What I want to know is where did he go? One minute he was on the ship and the next he's not here anymore. It was like he vanished." Dr. Ancient adds on, referring to a mysterious person of their recent past.

"Indeed." his wife agreed.

"Mom! Dad!" Rex, their son, called out as he and the group walked into the labroom.

"Dr. Ancient! Dr. Cretacia!" Max and Zoe exclaimed with huge smiles on their faces.

"Kids! It's been a long time, hasn't it?" Dr. Ancient asks the kids.

"If two years is a lot then you bet it is." Max says in a happy tone.

"Two years, huh? That's the same time we haven't seen you as well! Give or take."

"We heard about what happened." Spike tells his former friends.

"Dr. Taylor! So good to see you!" Cretacia greets Spike as she gives a giant bear hug, suffocating Spike.

"Too tight!" Spike managed to breathe out.

"Dad, they said they know where the dinosaur is." Rex reveals to his father.

"Really?! Where?!" Dr. Ancient impatiently asks.

"In Washington. In a small town called Monroe." Reese replies.

"But we can't do anything. The stones are gone so there's no way we can use any dinosaurs." Max says in a dejected tone.

"Not anymore!" shouts a high pitch and very familiar voice. The entire group turned around to see Dr. Z standing confidently in the doorway with a huge grin, while Rod and Laura stood next to him, both giving peace signs. "The great Dr. Z has arrived!"

"Dr. Z!" the Alpha Gang exclaimed simultaneously.

"How was your nap, sir?" Zander asks.

"Just peachy until you three ruined it when you showed up. I was about to win that ballerina contest too." Dr. Z harshly tells his assistants.

The trio all hung their heads down in sadness. "Even in his dreams, we're still treated poorly." Ed mumbles depressingly.

"What do you mean, doctor?" Spike asks the short, old man.

"How do you think we traveled in time? Why with the stones of course!" Dr. Z exclaims before laughing like a maniac. "NYAHAHAHAHAHA- Oh, my back."

"That's right! The original Backlander was powered by the seven stones!" Zoe remembers.

"Wait! That means you found the stones?!" Max asks in a baffled manner. "I thought the stones were destroyed."

"Not exactly." Dr. Ancient replies, earning a confused look from the group. "The stones weren't destroyed, they were just scattered across the world."

"Like the Dragon Balls." Ed comments out of nowhere, pointing his finger.

"But how did you find them?" Zoe asks.

"It was all thanks to me!" Dr. Z exclaimed before he pulled his back out. "Oh, my back again. You see, I managed to download the data from the stones to find their exact locations around the world after they were scattered. So we simply traveled the globe and recovered them and, voila! Time machine restored!"

"That sounds kind of made up." Max comments on the obvious lazy plan.

"You try and talk science, kid." Dr. Z retorted back.

"Wait, so if you have the stones then does that mean…" Zoe didn't finish her sentence as Rex was already smiling at the two of his friends.

"They've been waiting for you." Rex says in a warm manner.

The trio walked up to the engine where the last three stone plates were in the slots; Max and Zoe both stared at the plates as Rex handed them their Dino Bracers. Afterwards, all three of them grabbed their respective plates and placed them in their bracers before Rex handed them their dinosaur cards.

"For old times sake." Rex says to the two, earning huge smiles from the two.

All three of them slashed their cards into their bracers, as their chibi dinosaurs appeared in front of them. Max and Zoe's hearts stopped upon seeing their friends once again, both getting tears in their eyes. At first the dinosaurs didn't seem to recognize the trio until Max bent down and extended his hands at his partner. "Chomp… It's me… Don't you remember?" he asks his partner.

Chomp approached Max and stared into his eyes for what seemed like an eternity before Max grew a sad expression, thinking that Chomp had forgotten about him. The moment was interrupted when Chomp suddenly chomped onto Max's nose, earning a painful yelp from him followed by laughing. "Oh Chomp! I knew you wouldn't forget me!" Max exclaims as hugged his partner.

"Paris! I've missed you so much!" Zoe cries to her own dinosaur partner as she hugged hers as well, Paris licking her cheek.

The reunion was touching for everyone, including Dr. Z, before he eventually changed his attitude to his usual one. "Alright, enough mushy mushy! We have more important things to discuss!" he exclaims.

"He's right. The dinosaur cards have been scattered all across the world in your timeline and we need to get them back." Dr. Ancient tells the group.

"Do you mind telling us what happened exactly?" Spike asks the married paleontologists.

"Well, it's a funny story actually! Erm…" Dr. Z nervously spoke up.

"It was during when we were using the Backlander II." Dr. Ancient began explaining. "All of us plus my assistant were about to test the machine after retrieving the stones. Unfortunately, Dr. Z messed up with the controls and sent all the dinosaur cards into the past along with my assistant before eventually the Backlander shut down. It took several months to rebuild and reboot everything."

"So Dr. Z broke it again?" Zoe asks, shooting the doctor with an annoyed glare.

"Don't look at me like that! It was an accident!" Dr. Z defensively yelled.

"He said he was sorry." the Alpha trio said in union once again.

"You mentioned an assistant? Do you mean Seth?" Spike asks.

Upon just hearing that name, everyone shuddered at bad memories that had with Seth, his plan to create evolved dinosaurs and rule the world, and his betrayals. "No, I don't." Dr. Ancient replies, earning surprised looks from everyone.

"Seth was arrested for many crimes and was sent to prison not long after he awoke from his coma. He's been in there ever since." Cretacia answers.

"I hired a new assistant as a replacement but like I said, he got sucked out into the time Vortex as well. We have no idea where he's at now. He could be in this time period or he could be stuck in 1438. All I'm hoping right now is that he's safe." Dr. Ancient says in a mourning tone.

"But enough talking about what happened. We need to get those cards back as soon as possible." Cretacia tells the group in a determined tone.

"Dr. Cretacia's right. You kids need to find those cards!" Spike told the teenagers.

"And don't forget about us too!" Ed exclaims as he and the other two pose dramatically. "To protect the dinosaurs from mass extinction!"

"To unite all prehistoric lizards without distinction!" Zander added on.

"Oh so Ursula!"

"Zantastic Zander!"

"Ed I said."

"The Alpha Team, ready for all action!"

"No matter what, we are your faction!"

At that moment, Terry, in his chibi form, roared as best as he could, finishing off the Alpha Gang's motto; everyone gave the three blank stares, not knowing the proper response for the three. "That was kind of lame." Max comments.

"We thought so too." Ed depressingly states as the three hung their heads down.

"So I see you two haven't changed a bit." Rod says as he approaches Max and Zoe.

"Yeah, especially you Max. You haven't changed the slightest since we last saw you. Still a dino geek last I checked" Laura adds on, as her brother chuckled.

"Rod! Laura! It's so good to see you two!" Max happily says to his friends.

"How've you guys been?" Zoe asks.

"We've been good. We've been helping grandpa ever since we came back." Rod began explaining.

"Ever since then, he's become less hyper and more calm. Those meditations Helga made us do have been coming in handy for his blood pressure." Laura finishes explaining, smiling at the end.

"He still seems like the same old weird and kooky doctor to me." Zoe says.

"Who are you calling weird?!" Dr. Z shouts. "Anyway, we don't have time for this! We need to get those cards as soon as possible before they're lost forever! I, Dr. Z, still strives to become dinosaur king and I will not stop until I do! Those dinosaur cards will be mine! Just watch! Let's go!"

"Nein! Not so fast!" shouts a familiar voice in a German accent.

"Ah! Helga!" Dr. Z whimpers as Helga enters the room. "What are you doing here?"

"It's time for your nap, doctor. So come along now or else no dinner for you." Helga scolded the doctor.

"Are you crazy?! I already had my nap! I don't need another one! OW! My back again." Dr. Z groaned as he pulled out his back… again.

"Doctor, Helga might be right. You should rest for that back of yours." Dr. Ancient tells the old man.

"Never!" Dr. Z shouts before, once again, pulling his back. "Ow! Okay, I'll take a nap."

"Heeheeheeheeheeheeheehee." Ursula giggled with a shit eating grin.

"Und you three!"

"What? Us?!" the trio exclaimed all together as Helga grabbed all three of them by their back collars.

"It's time for your naps as well!" Helga says as she dragged all four of them out of the room.

"But we don't need a nap." the three whined in union before they exited the room.

Rod and Laura both grew grins upon seeing the Alpha Gang being treated like normal. "Just like old times." Laura says.

"Und you two! It's time for your studies!" Helga shouts, sticking her head through the door, literally.

"Awwww maaaan." the two siblings complained. "It was nice catching up with you, guys. Maybe one of these days we can go capture the dinosaurs together." Rod says to the teenaged trio.

"Bye!" Zoe calls out as the two leave.

"Good luck on your studies!" Max does the same.

"Just like old times indeed." Rod comments, referencing Laura's past statement.

Max suddenly turned to his friends. "So, is that everything?" he asks everyone.

"It appears so." Spike replies.

"Well then, what're we waiting for! Let's go find that dinosaur! D-Team-"

"OUT!" All three of them exclaimed as they high fived each other.

The D-Team were now in the D-Lab, under the teleportation device as Reese typed away on her computer. "The computer is now connected to the stones so you should be able to teleport to the dinosaur's general location." Reese tells the group.

"Well guys. It's going to be like old times sake." Max says.

"I've missed this ever since Rex left." Zoe reveals in a happy tone.

"Now that I'm here, we can do it all over again!" Rex exclaims.

"Alright! Reese! Set a course to Monroe, Washington!" Max excitedly orders.

"Coordinates imputed. Ready to transport." Reese tells the group.

"Alright. HERE WE GO!" Max exclaims as they were teleported.

Their adventures have now been reignited and a brand new journey has just begun.

The Alpha Trio were shown to be sleeping soundly in their respective beds which were next to each other inside a dark bedroom. Nothing was heard besides the sounds of Zander's snoring and Ed's mumbling; Ursula was a quiet sleeper who only laid on her back, sheets over her, with a sleeping mask on.

"Why is the bed wet?" Ursula suddenly asks, lifting her sleeping mask up.

"Sorry." Ed sheepishly replies immediately.

"UGH! GROSS!" Ursula shouts as she began stomping on him, much to his dismay.

"EEEEEED!" Zander roars in absolute rage, revealing that he sleeps with his sunglasses.

(I'm sorry if the reunion was kinda bad and felt rushed. I'm not good at writing reunions at all and I deeply apologize. The good news is that from here on out there will be much better writing… more or less. I'm still debating on if the Alpha Gang should join the kids on their journey now that Dr. Z is retired. I had him retire just to change up his character a bit but still kept his wacky and zany personality though. I didn't want to change him that much. Also the Alpha Gang and Rod and Laura are both wearing the same outfits from the anime cuz I'm too lazy and not creative enough to think of new outfits.

Anyway, sorry for the bad chapter if it is. See you all soon!)
