My name is Anna, princess and queen of Arendelle.
My life is surely full of surprises.
From what I can remember, I was the youngest in my family or at least I thought I was. This looks so silly now.
Years ago when we were kids, me and Elsa were playing around the castle. Building adorable snowman, skating on ice and snowballing...
Everything was great, we've been having a good time.
But not everything is permanent and wings of change sometimes flow past us, humbling us, reminding us of how helpless we really are.
And on that day we really were helpless.
Elsa and I were having fun but I was just too fast and then caused her to nearly freeze me. I sometimes remember that time, wondering if my reckless behavior was the reason Elsa was isolated from me and everyone.
And that's not everything that happened because years later, mom and dad set sail but their ship sank on the way.
We've been told that they headed to a diplomatic mission to Uncle Frederic and Arianna in Corona but in truth they were on a quest across the the dark sea in order to discover the secret behind Elsa's powers.
We didn't know that at the time and it caused some more trouble for me and Elsa as three years after our parents shipwrecked, Elsa was coronated as a queen but I made a mistake. At that time I fell in love with the prince of Southern Isles named Hans.
At first he seemed like a very kind person, I guess I'll never understand gotten to him during that time (I still think that fixer upper song had to do something with that)
Anyways I tried to find Elsa after she escaped to her ice castle, I left and went after her. I met many new friends on the way though, Kristoff, Swen and Olaf.
I honestly never imagined to ever talk to our favourite childhood snowman or have a deer as a friend.
Me and Kristoff became really close, so much that the trolls were really interested in setting me and Kristoff up when we went to see them...
And they helped me to get Elsa back when Hans tried to expose her as a murderer and traitor while he himself was the real one.
Not only that but as my memories were coming back my freezing scar you can say began to resurface too.
After stopping Hans though, Elsa was able save me. We found out this time that love was the answer to her ice. Not necessarily love of a lifetime but a family love.
All that Elsa needed was support, from me, our friends, our people and our parents ...I wish they could've realized this sooner.
After that we had huge party in the castle, celebrating the coronation.
My birthday was funnier afterwards, with some treasure hunting, Elsa's fever creating Snowgies party poopers, next blasting a giant snowball... I hope it didn't hit anyone
And three years after her coronation, everything was going pretty well, we spend time together as a family. Me, Elsa, Kristoff, Sven and Olaf all sat in the castle and having a sleepover. That same evening, Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, Sven, and Olaf play a game of charades.
And then suddenly, in the middle of the night, the strange ice crystals appeared in the air and then the wind started storming around the kingdom.
The elemental spirits were awakened , forcing everyone in the kingdom to evacuate as many of Arendelle's resources are stripped from the kingdom:
The waterfall dries up, as do the fountains, the flames providing light in buildings and the street lamps are extinguished, the wind becomes fierce, and the streets are disrupted like something is burrowing beneath them.
The weather was going mad and we had to leave Arendelle, we weren't sure what was happening this time but our old friend Grand Pabbie, leader of the trolls, senses danger and arrives in Arendelle with the rest of the trolls. And told us to forth, across the enchanted land.
Pabbie informs that we must set things right by discovering the truth about the kingdom's past, or he foresees no future for Arendelle.
Our father used to tell us stories about the forest with extraordinary affinity to magic. And the people of Northuldrans who benefited from those gifts.
Elsa wanted to go alone with Sven but I insisted on going with her, Kristoff and Olaf also came along. We were family after all.
And we embarked on the journey to the Enchanted Forest, traveling via Kristoff's wagon.
Upon arriving we were greeted by the spirits who let's just say were aggressive in their approach, and we met people of Nothuldra and our father's previous guards, even our grandfather's guard Mattias.
Each side was convincing that the other started the conflict, and we weren't sure ourselves since we weren't even born back then.
We then found our parents' ship in the deep forest shores and a map with a route to Ahtohallan, the mythical river said to have answers and explanations about the past. I remember Ahtohallan was the "river full of memory" that was mentioned in our mother's lullaby, turns out it was a song from nothuldran traditions.
Only then did we find out about what really happened to our parents, me and Elsa were devastated.
I comforted her that we can get through this together but we ended up going separate ways. We discovered what happened, what our grandfather Runeard did, he killed the nothuldran leader who wasn't even armed.
And because of his actions, Elsa almost died, Olaf did die, Kristoff and people of the enchanted forest were about to be killed by the earth giants...And I was alone again...I didn't know what to do...Didn't know what to beleive ... if I had hope for anything.
I was ready to give up then and there but I didn't wanted that, I couldn't do that and let everyone that I love die.
Me and Mattias managed to trick the Giants to destroy the dam, resulting in Elsa being freed and Arendelle to be saved.
I was proud that I did the right thing, I don't know what could've happened ahd I just remained stuck in that dark cave. But I was glad I didn't.
On that day Kristoff proposed to me and we married, and became the next king and queen of Arendelle after Elsa decided to stay and defend the forest
Together, me and Kristoff unveiled a new statue of our parents Agnar and Iduna to honor both their memory and the new unity between Arendelle and the Enchanted Forest.
I do ask Gale to send messages to Elsa from time to time
And from that point on, I was the queen of Arendelle for several years.
Keeping our home stable which proved to be tricky but with help from Kristoff and the others, we stood strong.
I am more experienced now though, and turns out change isn't a bad thing but more how you perceive it yourself. I had adventures, tragedies and a wedding.
Still some things never change.
I maybe a queen but I still have some hobbies of my past self.
Same with my Rapunzel, I do love when she comes to visit. She is someone that I can relate to here.
Well our husbands get along quite well too though. Her husband Eugene was rather surprised by a talking snowman.
We also share stories which shown me that we are not the only ones in the world unordinary backstory.
Little did I know that life had much more in store for me.
I was planning to go on a business trip to the south coast of Africa, marked as the old territory of Greystrokes.
Kristoff came along with Sven just in case, and we left Mattias to guard Arendelle until we come back.
On the ship, we were talking about what they'd do when they got there.
From the rumors we heard, we conversed that we can afford our support against incidents with poaching, slavery and animal harassment from pirates or other rouge criminals and in return, Africa would cooperate.
So we were to meet the founders of the town and then maybe look at some gorillas.
I was a little apprehensive about being so close to them but considering what I've seen so far, I'll try to give them a chance. Animals have their own rights after all.
However the thing I was scared of more than gorillas, and it was drowning .
While on the ship, we heard thunder. Then it was silent. I was thinking back about our parents fate at sea. Kristoff called one of the crewmembers over. "I thought you said that the skies were clear".
The young man replied nervously, "Umm...your highness...it's just a small storm. We're going around it..." His queen sighed and thanked him. Kristoff and I were to go to bed and sleep. He promised "It's going to be alright"
The captain however overestimated the size of the storm and upon falling asleep, we wake up few hours later with water on the floor.
And we went out only to see that the rear parts of the ship are damaged, and the captain reported to us from a giant hole where the wall should have been.
But luckily we managed to get ourselves around it just as he said and reached our destination to the newly purchased Greystroke territories.
We were in awe of the beautiful jungle surrounding the place, I took my time to breathe in the smell the smell of nature for the first time in a while.
One of the crewsman brought suitcases that we could use to change out of their wet clothes in cottage for the week. And so we did.
When they exited the cottage in fresh clothes, we were greeted by man with brown eyes, dark hair, and a blue outfit.
"Hello there, your majesties. My name is Renard Dumont. I am merchant of a trading post that is around here"
Mr. Dumont was quite polite and suave, and a bit flirty since he tried to charm me. Kristoff apparently didn't like that and I brushed it off as well.
We settled in his office and explained our mission of coming here and a proposed a treaty. He was very intrigued, and agreed that if Arendelle needed his help, he would gladly follow along especially with a rumored cave of diamonds close by...but he also said that there's a catch.
While he was leading the trading post around the coast of Africa, there's a man named Tarzan around here who is very protective of the jungle and he may be harder to persuade.
We insisted that we will try to negotiate with Tarzan and so asked him where to look.
I asked the guards to come with us in case of any animal attack, Dumont also ordered his men to accompany us as we ventured out to searches through the jungle.
I felt like an explorer, that feeling still didn't leave me. However I didn't drop my guard just yet, the jungle is not an average place and is filled with dangerous predators. It does look beautiful though despite all of that.
That was also interrupted unfortunately as we ran into a giant gorilla, it had a black-grey fur, crazed yellow eyes and as it attacked us and took out or guards. I didn't lose my touch and picked up one of the swords. Just because I am a royalty doesn't mean I can't survive.
Kristoff did the same and tried to help things didn't turn out great as some screaming monkeys joined the ruckus and started throwing things at us.
And so here we are and we are in big trouble.
