Chapter 1

I cannot believe this is finally going to happen. I would have figured Donnie would consider the possibility of ANY kind of romantic involvement to be a hinderance to 'his genius'. Even though he has a sarcastic and at times condescending tone about himself, he has a wonderful heart underneath that soft shell. He really does try to put up a front around his brothers', physically, he is more liable to be hurt if his shell was exposed. He would need to have an unwavering trust in his environment and the people around him to let his guard down in such a manner. I am grateful to be one of those people. I still remember the first time I met him.

The streets of New York City have a lot of dangerous characters. Typically, I would be unfazed, you need to be tough and aware of your surroundings as a young lady. It was a rather cold and frigid night after I got off work. All I was looking forward to, was my warm bed and take out. I have been living on my own for only a few years and I admit, it has a been rather lonely at times. My cats' do help keep me entertained though. Snow was gently falling all around, perfect start to the holiday season! To my excitement, even at my age, it was sticking to the sidewalks well. The sounds of my shoes became more and more audible as the snow continued to build. Everything seemed fine, until I heard another pair of feet. I did not think to much of it at first, this is the city that never sleeps. The snow was being to accelerate so I decided to pick up the pace. Once I did, so did sounds of the other pair of shoes.

"Maybe they are just trying to get home faster too. Just keep going."

Every time I made a turn, so did they. Something was off. I began to quick in pace without running so I can give them the slip. They were still on my trail.

"Don't panic Y/N, you have mace if anything goes wrong. Just try your best to shake them loose."

As I tried to move faster, I slipped on newly formed ice, causing me to fall in an alleyway. I thought to myself.

"OF ALL THE FUCKING PLACES I COULD END UP! I AM SO CLOSE TO MY HOME!"

I tried to get up, but I twisted my ankle bad. The sounds of the other pair of feet have gotten close and slowed down. They found me. I tried to get my mace ready.

"W-WHY ARE YOU FOLLOWING ME?! I HAVE NOTHING FOR YOU! LEAVE ME ALONE AND I WON'T SPRAY YOUR ASS!"

I yelled as loud as I could, hoping to grab someone's attention nearby. No one came. The man just chuckled at me.

"You THINK you don't but…yooouuu dooooo-oo."

He was mocking me. I realized quickly what he was looking for. I needed help, fast. I started screaming for as loud and long as I could before he grabbed a hold of me. His nasty hands ripped open my jacket as I sprayed him in the eyes, still screaming for anyone to hear. Still no one. I could only hold him off for so long…why is no one helping me? The thug slapped me hard on the face; trying to quiet me down. He was furious. He used of his strength to pin me down, I was powerless. Then I saw something out of the corner of my eye. I was not sure what it could have been, it was dark, but I could make out a faint shape. Someone else is here. My throat was too sore to speak. Before the thug could strike me once more, I heard a loud thud. The creep fell on me, and I pushed him off with the last bit of strength I had. I was freezing from being exposed to the elements and the snow-covered alley. I tried to get a good look at my savior, but he was completely covered. I could only remember the color before passing out.

Purple.
