Third Person's P.O.V. / Narrative P.O.V.

Cool breeze, trees swaying, birds singing, and the sun shining brightly, who wouldn't call it the perfect day? For Tokyo Hokushou Kōkō seniors, it was the day. Today was the day of freedom, the special day that serves as their first step into adulthood. Today is the day that marks their first step toward the bright future ahead of them.

And to their delight, there were going to be no more strict teachers and no more piles of homework.

It was a day of change.

It was Graduation Day.

Everyone was in their school's gymnasium. Every student was in their black graduation gowns and caps, sitting patiently as they awaited the end of this ceremony. Every single parent was on the verge of tears, but the smiles on their faces didn't seem to glow any brighter than now.

Chattering among students occurred for a while, but everyone grew silent as the sound of footsteps was heard as they approached the stage. It was then that the batch's valedictorian got on the podium. It was none other than our own Momoko Akatsutsumi, more secretly known as the heroine named Blossom.

"Ladies and Gentlemen," Momoko started, her soft pink lips curling into a small smile. "To my fellow seniors, today is the day. The day in which we will take one step closer to our future. High school might be over, but the journey has not yet ended. High school life may not have been as easy as we expected it to be, but through all the struggles and hardships, we were able to conquer, accomplish, and pass with flying colors."

She then looked up from the podium and faced the audience. "Through that journey, we have made special bonds with other people. People who guided us to the right path. They have been our inspiration since day one. Now, thanks to them, we're here.

"To all our loved ones, especially our dear parents, you were the ones who helped us throughout. You were the guardian angels that guided us to success. Without you, this dream would not have been possible. You knew what was best for us, and because of that, we're all here, standing in front of you.

"To our teachers, you were the ones who taught us right from wrong. Through all flaws, you still taught us to be better students and better children. You were the ones that made this possible for us; to show us that our future is only an arm's reach. You weren't only our mentors or our friends, all of you have been like family to us. You have been our second parents and we are deeply grateful for that."

And with that, she looked at her batchmates.

"To all the seniors, do not think of this day as the day when those special bonds will be broken. For as long as they remain in our hearts, that bond will only grow stronger with every step we take. This is not the end, this is just the beginning. Thank you all very much and may you all have a splendid day."

Everyone in the gymnasium clapped as Momoko bowed and got off the podium.

Standing in the very front of the stage, she threw her cap in the air and everyone followed suit. The gymnasium was filled with joy, laughter, and cheers. Parents hugged their children and students were crying as they talked to their closest friends. For others, they were bidding farewell to their teachers and some were taking pictures from all over. But one thing was certain, every single one of them kept smiling on their way out.

"Momoko! Kaoru!" A bubbly voice called out. "Over here!"

Waving at her two friends, the vivacious girl smiled brightly at both of them. She had long golden locks that reached past her shoulders and down near her elbows. Her curly blonde hair was kept neatly in two pigtails, flowing elegantly. And to add more to her breathtaking beauty, she had stunning baby blue eyes that shone brightly like the deep blue sea.

At the mention of her name, a girl with dark raven hair and lime-green eyes glanced over her shoulder. Walking towards Miyako, she was followed by an auburn-haired girl with bubblegum pink eyes. As they faced her, they all hugged each other tightly as tears began to stroll down Momoko's face.

"Happy Graduation to us," Momoko said, returning Miyako's hug as she wiped the tears from her eyes.

As she let go of her two friends, Miyako's smile grew even wider. "I can't believe it, today is the day."

"Hell yeah, it is!" Kaoru said, grinning widely. "Haven't you guys heard? Professor will be throwing a party for us! Let's fucking celebrate!" She exclaimed while fist-pumping the air.

Her sudden burst of energy made both Momoko and Miyako giggle. "Well, before all of that, what do you say if we visit our families first?" Momoko asked, her lips forced to let out a smile. "It has been a while."

Kaoru and Miyako stared intently at Momoko after her statement. It didn't take long for them to look at her with eyes full of sorrow. A few seconds of undisturbed quietness passed until Miyako decided to break the silence.

"That's a good idea. After all, this day isn't just for us…" Miyako said, smiling sadly at her friend. "It's just like you said, right, Momoko? We wouldn't be here without them."

Momoko weakly smiled at her friend as Kaoru started rubbing her back. They have been very busy because of school, so they couldn't visit them often.

Just then, a voice caught the girls' attention.

"How are my favorite girls doing?" The masculine voice asked from behind them, making the girls jump a little. The voice belonged to a man in his late-30s. He had silky black hair that was gelled neatly. However, unlike all the other gentlemen in the gymnasium, his attire was a white lab coat.

"Professor!" All three girls exclaimed as they hugged him. Behind the professor was Ken and of course their little pooch, Peach.

He hugged them back tightly. "Congratulations, girls." He said, breaking away from the hug as he looked at them like a proud parent.

"Congratulations, Momoko-nee, Miyako-nee, and Kaoru-nee!" Ken said, smiling widely as Peach also congratulated them.

Peach didn't really change that much, but Ken was far from the young boy that he once was. He was tall, already taller than all three of the girls at almost sixteen years of age. He also grew to be a quite handsome young man, his hair now a bit unkempt and his body was now a bit more fit. The girls would often tease him about how many girls must've been chasing after him.

"Thank you, you two." Momoko said, all three of them hugging their little brother. "I wish we could've seen you at your graduation too if only you continued going to school."

Ken laughed awkwardly. "Yeah, well, I'm more used to staying at home and helping you guys on your missions."

"You should consider applying for LUX now, especially since once we get to college, we won't be around as often and they need someone like you on board." Momoko said, giggling.

"She's right, it'll be nice for you to go out and start doing your own thing." Miyako commented. "You'll also meet lots of friends there!"

Kaoru slapped his back. "Better tone it down with the lady friends though." She said, snickering. "You better not be a two-timing casanova."

Ken blushed at their statements, raising his hands in defense. "H-Hey! I'm not planning to date anyone yet!"

They continued teasing him, but it all ended in laughter. They started moving all around the gymnasium—trying to find a good background for them—as they didn't waste time taking pictures. They took turns with the Professor, Ken, Peach, as well as a few of their schoolmates and some admirers as their bright smiles reflected the sheer amount of joy they felt.

After a few minutes of picture-taking and conversation with both their teachers and friends, it was finally time to go back home.

"I may have overheard your conversation a while back." The Professor started as they began exiting the gym. "It was a good thing I stopped by Alice's shop on my way here. We'll stop by your families on the way to the lab." Professor firmly stated but still plastered a hearty smile.

The girls sincerely returned the same hearty and genuine smile to the Professor. They regained their composure as they held onto their diplomas.

"Let's go."

Momoko's P.O.V.

After a thirty-minute drive, all of us returned safe and sound to the lab. We stopped by our families for only a short time, saying our goodbyes as we drove back here. After getting out of the car and passing the people who guarded the place, Ken stepped onto the porch and placed his hand on the hand scanner. A few beeps were heard and the doors opened. Suddenly, Peach jumped onto Ken's shoulder.

"Next time it's my turn to use the hand scanner. I never get my turn, da wan!" Peach pouted as the rest of us giggled at his sudden outburst.

The doors led to an elegant and fully furnished living room. After years of serving the city, the lab was renovated courtesy of the Mayor. It was a surprise to us at first, and we even told him that this wasn't necessary. But after long days at work, coming back to this place that we now call home was something we all look forward to.

Not wasting any more time, the three of us placed our bags on one of the couches as we made our way to the elevator.

Before we could place our foot in, however, the Professor made an announcement. "Get yourselves pampered up while I get the surprise ready." The Professor said with a gentle smile.

"Make yourselves the highlight of the party!" Ken said, giving a thumbs up.

"Be down in thirty minutes! I'm getting hungry, da wan!" Peach exclaimed with joy.

We all giggled at their silly statements.

"Of course! Now girls, get your butts in the elevator! Hurry!" Miyako exclaimed, making me widen my eyes as she came closer to the both of us.

"Miyako wai—!" I was unable to finish my sentence as Miyako ran as fast as she could and pushed Kaoru and me into the elevator.

Before I even knew it, my face immediately came in contact with the hard floor. I groaned, lifting up my face as I looked up at her, annoyed. Kaoru did the same, glaring at Miyako as she dusted herself off.

Miyako, seemingly unaffected by our looks, stuck out her tongue and did a peace sign.

"Sorry!" She apologized, extending out both of her hands as she helped lift us up. "Now, let's go! I'm excited!" Miyako said as she pressed a button that closed the elevator doors. She then pressed the number three button, making the elevator begin to ascend.

As Miyako began humming to herself, Kaoru looked at me with an annoyed look. "Remind me to get her drug tested."

Kaoru's P.O.V.

As we were walking down the hallway on the third floor, Miyako got in our way and started skipping around.

"Let's go into my room and have a makeover!" She exclaimed while clapping her hands in excitement. "I'll go get both of your clothes ready!"

"Miyako, I don't think that's ne—" I was about to protest but then Miyako zoomed into Momoko's room and took out some clothes. As she had a pile of Momoko's dresses on her right arm, she did the same thing to my room and she had a bunch of my dresses on the other arm. "—cessary..."

Momoko sweatdropped at her antics and I just facepalmed. I guess there is no way to get out of this since she's too hyped for this. And I don't want to get in her way after the incident she did to us in the elevator.

As Miyako seemingly didn't mind the load of clothes on both of her arms, we started to make our way to her room.

After renovation, the lab was upgraded and now had five floors. The place now had rooms for training, a small gym, our own bedrooms, more guest and stock rooms, recreational rooms, and a new fully-furnished laboratory, living room, and dining area.

One word to describe it?

Perfection.

"Hurry, hurry, hurry!" She said, jumping a little as she looked at both of us. "I'm super excited! I wonder who the Professor had invited!" Miyako exclaimed as she skipped through the hallway while carrying our pile of clothes.

I looked at Momoko who also looked at me. We both sighed as we both just decided to just follow along with our friend's desires.

Miyako was still her bubbly carefree self. However, she wasn't that perfectly innocent doll like back in middle school anymore. She has grown out of that childish mindset and unlike before when she was a bit soft-spoken, now Miyako was more open about her thoughts while still being that polite and gentle girl we know her as.

Momoko, on the other hand, changed a lot these past few years. That boy-crazy girl was now a very hardworking student. Don't get me wrong, she's still boy-crazy, but she now often shows it in private. Right now, she's more passionate about science, especially chemistry ever since she began helping and working with the Professor.

As for me, I don't think I've changed that much, despite the constant teasing of the other two. I'm still the same ill-tempered and blunt Kaoru that everyone knows.

As we continued walking, I groaned in frustration as soon as we stood at the very entrance of her room.

Right now, Miyako's hyperactive side is taking over. She gets too excited on occasions like this. But these things rarely happen so who was I to complain? And besides, this was our party. So, I might as well enjoy it, right?

We walked into Miyako's room, and not surprisingly, its design fit her well.

As with all of the bedrooms in the house, we all had our personal bathrooms and walk-in closets. Her walls were painted sky blue and the room was fully carpeted. Several paintings hung on her wall, as well as many of her sketches and designs of clothing. She never really lost her girly touch as her bed was adorned with her stuffed toys and her vanity was full of make-up and perfumes.

As expected of her.

"Momoko, I'll start applying makeup on you." Miyako said, already grabbing one of her brushes from her vanity.

"It's been a while since you've been our personal make-up artist." Momoko replied, giggling. "Why don't you do your own and I'll do mine? We might take a while if you're going to do all of our makeup."

Miyako laughed. "Don't be silly, I'll be done in no time. Plus, it's just some light makeup so don't worry." She then gestured to Momoko to take a seat in front of her vanity, which the redhead obediently obliged to.

"Kaoru," She called out to me. "You will start picking out clothes for us, capisce?"

Miyako directed her attention toward me, giving me a serious look. I was a bit intimidated by her stare, but I just nodded in response. Miyako brought back her attention to Momoko as she started applying makeup on her.

I sat on her bed and began to take the clothes she picked out for Momoko, separating them from my own clothes. As I arranged each one neatly on the bed, I started to look over each dress in front of me. Turning my head from left to right, I started taking in deep breaths as I quickly rolled up my sleeves to my elbows.

Now, let's see what we have here.

Unknown P.O.V.

I tapped my nails on the red velvet glass table impatiently. I started to get irritated as the clock continued to tick, making me glare at the bright red door in front of me.

That monkey is taking way too long.

I clawed my hair in frustration, and as I lifted my face, I looked over towards the glass picture frame that was within arm's reach from me. I took it, gently caressing the sides of it. It is almost complete, and everything will finally fall into place.

It won't take long now before I've carried out my mission of revenge towards those girls… Just wait.

As I looked at the picture longer, I couldn't help but feel angrier, and angrier. I still remember that day, the day I swore revenge against those three. In due time, they will find out what it feels like to lose everything.

I clenched the picture in my hand as I threw a fireball at the nearest lamp, engulfing it in my flames. All there was left were ashes scattered on the dark tile floor. I placed the picture frame back in its place as I leaned back on my chair, hoping to relieve myself from the immense stress I was feeling.

The plan was still in motion and we were making remarkable progress, but my agents are dropping fast. There was still time, although getting a few more recruits now wouldn't hurt. If ever the number of agents I have continues to keep dropping, it wouldn't be long before the entire plan will become a complete failure.

Just then, a huge smirk plastered upon my face; something has caught my interest for the last few days, and I know that now is the right time.

The telephone on my desk suddenly beeped, "Your highness, Sir Jojo is here."

Well, it's about time.

"Mojo!" I shouted as I angrily punched my table, rattling all the objects that were on it. With no time to lose, Mojo burst through the doors, a bit frazzled as he panted heavily. As I laid my eyes on him, I couldn't help but grimace at his appearance.

Has this monkey ever heard of a shower?

His stench was already starting to irritate my nostrils!

He outgrew his humongous purple cape and replaced it with a leather overall with spikes. His fur wasn't any better. It was longer than ever. And those horrid red eyes of his didn't help him. He should be thankful that I didn't burn him for his lack of hygiene. I merely needed him for his outstanding capabilities in this place.

He had a scowl on his face, but there was still a hint of nervousness in his eyes as he looked in my direction. "How may I be of service to you, your highness?" Mojo asked as he got down on one knee.

I simply crossed my arms as I leaned back more on my chair. I gave the pathetic monkey a light glare before placing both feet on the glass table. "Is it complete yet?" I asked, glaring more intensely.

"I'm afraid we have to start over, your highness."

"What?!" Standing up in shock, I grabbed a small figurine and threw it at him. The fucker simply dodged it but his eyes went wide at me. "What do you mean you have to start over?!" Flames erupted from my hair and my hands bore flames. I glared at him furiously, making him tremble in fear.

"The latest experiment currently failed and we have to start over, your highness." He said. "We immediately started working on it again. My lackeys are working on it as we speak!"

I began to rub my temples as I sat back in my chair. "Just make it quick! We need it to be a success!" I exclaimed. "The day is already a few months away! We only have one shot at this. If we fail, I will kill all of you."

He gulped nervously, starting to tremble in his place. "I expect it to be complete a week prior to that day. And if I don't have it by then, well, you already know what's going to be the punishment, right?"

"Yes, your highness. I will get to it right away." As he tried to leave, I appeared at the entrance, forcefully shutting the door behind me. He was startled, making him take a step back.

"You won't be getting away that easily now," I said, snickering. "How are the new recruits?" I asked, walking towards him slowly.

He backed away, cautiously placing his arms in front of him in a defensive position. "I-I have been t-told that three of them are coming over tomorrow." He replied. "I have already given them the directions they needed to find our headquarters, along with the essential password."

"Are these three the ones—presumably—created by Professor Jones?"

"Yes, your highness." He said. "I was told that they'll be here in the morning. I've already ordered Sedusa to be their guide."

Chuckling, I licked my teeth in anticipation. "Good," I said. "Very good."

Walking back to my table, Mojo stood still in his place. As I sat down, I was about to say something, but Mojo beat me to it. "Are you sure that these recruits can be trusted, your Highness? Mojo feels wary about them."

I scoffed at him, "I don't care if they aren't what they say they are." I answered. "I have my suspicions about them. However, I am in desperate need of agents right now. If anything seems off about the recruits, I'll keep my eye on them. If they even put one toe out of line, I'll have them killed. For now, let's just wait on the results of their test in the organization."

I opened one of my drawers and pulled out a bunch of files. After that, I threw it in front of Mojo. As he bent down to get it, he looked at me in confusion.

"What are these, your highness?"

"That is the needed information for the new experiment I've acquired from one of my personal teams." I explained, " Anything you need is right there. I don't need any of your men interrupting me here for questions. Some of the files there are also on the Powerpuff Girls Z. Recent sightings, and recent scans on all three of them."

He opened the folder and looked through the files. "Shall I share this information with other agents?"

"This information is strictly for the top agents of this organization," I answered. "I have already told them what they need to do with this. I expect you to deliver it to them right away."

"Yes, Your Highness."

"You are dismissed!" Mojo nodded and went out of my office. I clenched my claws hard and I glared intently at the door.

Just you wait, little Powerpuff Girls.

I will not rest until I can feel your blood dripping from these hands.

I will not rest until I've killed you.

Narrative / Third Person's P.O.V.

As the girls finished putting on their make-up and clothes, they took one last look in the mirror.

Momoko pulled her hair back in a half-ponytail, letting her long auburn locks flow freely down to her waist. Replacing her pink bow, she took a rose clip that matched the rose dress that Kaoru picked out for her. She paired her outfit with a pair of silver heels that matched her jewelry and the silver belt that wrapped around her waist.

Miyako gave a little twirl as she looked at herself in the mirror, giggling softly as she admired the way she looked. The sky-blue ruffles of her dress swayed with her movements as the glittery silver top sparkled from all angles. Her hair was let loose, the wavy curls framing her delicate face. She then put on a pair of her favorite nude stilettos to complete her outfit.

Kaoru—surprisingly—chose a black and green high-low dress that had a halter top that crisscrossed around her chest. Her short black hair that ended a few inches past her shoulders was pulled back by her green hairband with her bangs still framing her face. To match the dress, she had on her studded black cut-out heels.

"And you said that you didn't have a great fashion sense." Momoko teased, lightly nudging the raven-haired girl.

"I don't." Kaoru scoffed, a bit embarrassed at her friend's comment. "I've been living with you guys for years now. I'm already familiar with what you guys wear."

Miyako giggled in a teasing way, "Whatever you say, Kaoru." She said, gesturing at the amount of make-up and jewelry her friend had on. "We've gone on a hundred photoshoots now, it's cute that you're more flexible with the clothes you own and wear."

"Now I want to borrow that dress you have on." Momoko said. "Even those accessories."

"Just make sure you actually put it in the hamper next time and put them back where you found them." Kaoru replied, rolling her eyes playfully as she grabbed her belt and went to the door. "Let's just go now."

Miyako and Momoko looked at each other for a moment, giggling simultaneously before finally following their friend out of the room.

As the three girls walked through the hallway, they all couldn't get their minds off of the surprise that supposedly the Professor had for them.

It's not rare for the professor to throw surprises for them, but it's also not uncommon for them to receive gifts from him that eventually blow up. But this time, it felt like it was a different kind of surprise. Something that they never would have expected.

What could it be?

As they went into the elevator, Momoko immediately pressed the button labeled as one, leading them to the ground floor of their house. After a few seconds, they finally made it. But once they had stepped out of the elevator, everything went pitch black.

"Eek!" Miyako shrieked at the sudden darkness, trembling a bit as she began to feel afraid. She latched onto Momoko's arm, gripping it tightly as she hid behind her friend.

"What is going on?" Momoko wondered as a terrified girl clung to her arm as if her life depended on it.

"What the hell?" Kaoru exclaimed. "Where is the light switch?" As Kaoru began to scout for the light switch, Miyako couldn't help but tighten her grip even more, making Momoko squint a bit at the sudden pain.

"Professor!" Miyako screamed; she couldn't take the suspense anymore. "Are you there?"

All of them waited for a response, but it never came. "Damn it," Kaoru said. "Where the hell is the switch?!"

Besides the loud curses that came from Kaoru, it remained dead quiet. The eerie silence made them nervous, the sound of their breathing is very audible by now. It didn't help that the whole place was awfully dark. Very, very, dark.

The silence didn't seem to let up, as the girls continued to search for the light, they heard rustling. Taking caution, they stood firm in their place, letting out a shaky breath as they asked.

"Who's there?"
