The following is going to be a very special story to me. The day I became a Vocaloid fan, I instantly turned into a hardcore Miku x Len shipper. This story is my tribute to the person who provided the best Miku x Len content for us, yes ladies and gentlemen, I'm talking about Cleopatrawolf. She did more for this ship than any other shipper has ever done. She may've lost interest in Vocaloid over the years, but it's the thing that made me a fan of her. So, I'm therefore paying tribute to her Vocaloid days for this story. Digital Love, based on her video of the same name, based on the song of the same name. If you read this, I hope you're proud of me Cleo-Sama.
The year is 2325. Earth has been destroyed for almost a century now, but humans managed to survive. Nowadays, they live in space stations. All throghout the galaxy. There are so many space stations that humans can just travel to another by driving their own. That's how many there are. But the space station we're in is one that's certainly peaceful. One where everyone admires and respects eachother. So, it was just inevitable that something bad was about to happen.
Len was sleeping in his sleep chamber. He was a bit introverted, he didn't cared about whether people acknowledged him or not. He just liked living a normal life. He fully intended to be an average Joe for the rest of his life. But today that was gonna change, much to his disapproval that is.
His older twin sister Rin arrived in his room. She went near his sleep chamber, and pressed the button to open it. After it was open, she started to wake him up.
"Hey Len! C'mon you sleepyhead, wake up, we were suppose to have that dance party today." She successfully managed to wake him up.
"Couldn't you had waited five more minutes." Len said in a sleepy voice.
"You know you're gonna love this party, it's worth losing a small amount of sleep over." She said enthusiastically.
"I guess." He said in a bored voice, as opposed to his sister's heavy enthusiasm.
They quickly dressed up, Rin grabbed a can of orange soda, and they made their way to the party.
"What do you think Neru's gonna wear?" Rin asked him, as she took another sip.
"Whatever she wears, I can't care less." He answered.
"Trust me Len, this party will be incredible." She smiled and took another sip.
"I'm just not a very social person Rin." He said.
"I'm telling you Len, this will be a great experience." Rin said confidently as she took another sip.
"Whatever," Len said "but seriously, you need to stop having orange sodas all the time, this can't be good for your health."
"But Len, I love it so much." Rin said and took another sip.
"Well can yo-" before Len could finish his sentence, he was interrupted by Rin burping.
"*OOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUOOOOOOOOUUURRRRRRRRRROOOOOURRRRRPPP!*" all that soda caused Rin to burp hard, it was super loud and lasted really long.
After that, they both remained silent for a few seconds, before Len broke the silence.
"Okay, I'll admit, that was an awesome burp." Len smiled feeling proud of his sister's achievement.
"Thanks bro!" Rin smiled back at her brother's compliment, also feeling proud of herself.
Despite their contrasting personalities, they loved amusing moments like these. As apathetic of a person Len was, and as energentic of a person Rin was, moments like these made them happy to have one another.
They went near an elevator, waiting for it to open, eventually it opened and Kaito appeared. He looked pleased to see them.
"Hey Rin! Hey Len!" He greeted them, Kaito was like the father-figure they never had and they saw him as their mentor in life.
"Nice to see you Kaito." Rin said.
"Rin wants to force me to attend that stupid party." Len told him.
"I think she's right, I think it would be a unique experience for you." Kaito seemed to agree with Rin.
"Not you too." Len felt disappointed in Kaito.
"Kaito knows what's best for us." She said looking at him with a satisfied face.
"Okay, can I at least attend the party with Kaito instead of you." Len asked her.
"Why?" Rin looked confused.
"I'd rather be with someone who'll make me look cool, while you'll just make me look like a family boy." Len said.
"You find me embarrassing?" Rin said with a concerned look.
"Yes." He blantantly answered.
"Can't blame you," Rin said with an understanding voice "I am sort of a goofball, just promise you'll leave with me."
"I promise," Len said and kissed Rin on her right cheek "take care dear sis."
"See you in a while." Rin smiled, waved a goodbye and made her way to that party alone.
"I'm glad to be going with you." Kaito said.
"I'm sure we'll have some manly time together." Len smiled and said.
"You're not manly at all, you're about as tall as Rin." Kaito gently teased.
"I know, no need to shove it in my face." Len cheerfully defended himself.
The two of them then got in the elevator and made their way to the party. Introverted or not, Len loves his sister just as much as any other brother would, and is hoping she's fine on her own. But it wasn't the time for that, he had to now deal with the stress of being around people, something he really doesn't like. He saw everyone was dancing at the loud music. He didn't understood, what was he suppose to do?
"C'mon Len, it's a party, have fun." Kaito said.
"I'm not sure how." Len responded.
"Look at how many beautiful girls there are here, surely you could dance with one of them." Kaito tried to motivate him.
"They're attractive, doesn't mean I'd desire to dance with them." Len argued.
"Look at how lovely Teto's dress is, and how clean Neru's hair look, and-" as Kaito was talking, Len noticed a new girl standing there, one that he hadn't seen before, he looked fascinated.
"Who's that new girl?" Len asked him.
"She's Miku, she's from the space station 192 thousand km away from here, she's a guest in this party." Kaito explained.
"She's the most genuinely gorgeous person I've ever seen in my life." Len thought.
"By the looks of your face, it's clear to me," Kaito said in a snarky voice "you've already developed a crush on her."
"That's not true." Len was awful at lying.
"But it is," Kaito said "don't worry man, I'll help you with getting along with her."
"This could go wrong so badly." Len whispered to himself.
"Hey Miku!" Kaito called her and she barely managed in hear him in the midst of the loud music.
"Oh, you!" Miku came near him and Len "Kaito is it? You're the guy who carried my bags when I arrived in this space statuon, sorry if I got your name wrong, I'm not very good with names."
"That's exactly who I am, and don't worry because you got my name right," Kaito said "anyway, this is my friend Len."
"Hello Len, you look pretty adorable." She said.
Len felt super uncomfortable hearing what he heard, he's glad he hasn't drank water in a while, otherwise he would've peed himself after hearing what she just said.
"I have no dance partner," Miku said "would you like to dance with me?"
Len's whole world stopped the moment he heard this.
I'll say it again. If you read this, I hope you're proud of me Cleo-Sama.
