Long ago, after the great gem corruption, a large meteor struck the earth. From the Meteor, grew an Island. And from that Island, shot 6 metallic canisters. Little did anyone know that inside of these canisters, would be the salvation of everything in existence.
Dark red eyes opened slowly. The owner of these eyes looked around slowly, before getting up and dusting herself off. How long has it been? She looked around and saw no one. She looked at herself and scoffed. Of course. She had changed. That's expected to happen when one is "poofed". She ran over to the water and gazed at her reflection. Yep, all the fundamentals were still there. Scarlet "skin", Square shaped hair, and her most defining feature, A headband. But it's purple this time around. Huh. She then looked down to see her new outfit. A red Leather Jacket, cool, A black shirt with a yellow star, some black pants with red fire decals, and some blue boots. Well, that's something that's never happened before. Speaking of blue... Oh God, where is she?! Crap! She frantically searched the shoreline hoping to find something, something meaning a particular blue gemstone. She made it near the large Canister on the Island and felt an arm yank her behind it. She looked and was about to tell before a red finger smacked against her lips shushing her. The person who yanked wore a strange, large, sky blue mask. And one thing was for sure, he was a ruby, like her. "Quiet, unless you want HIM to hear you!" he said, pointing to a large mound of black rocks. "Those are just rocks." She says confused and slightly angry. "Not the rocks!!! HIM!!!" The masked ruby says, continuing to point. But this time, she sees it. A large masculine figure, pale orange in skin tone with red spiky hair, a red and gold sash around his naked upper body, and bandages around his tattooed arms. He also wore red and orange baggy pants with golden markings and bandages around the forelegs. And finally, he wore red sandals and a red bandana around his forehead. But terrifyingly, this was unnoticeable because it was blocked with a horrifying red mask on his face. He narrowed his red glowing eyes at her and the stranger. They ducked in response, causing him to walk away. "What was that?! Who are you?!" "That's... not something I can say." "Well why not?!" "I don't know the answers to either of those questions or at least I don't remember." She then spots a red gem on his chest. It's cracked down the middle. "You must've had a pretty nasty fall." "Yeah. That, and my name are the most I can remember." "Well, what is it?" "...Takua." "Mine's Ruby." "Hey!!" A loud voice intruded their conversation, and the two looked to see a small sky blue-skinned gem yelling towards them. They looked towards her and she continues. "I need help! M-m-my village has been attacked!" "Slow down! Who are you?" Takua asked. "My name is Maku. I'm from Ga-Koro. Between the sea, and Lake Naho. Just down the coast." "Right, and you said it was being attacked?" "Yes. And we need help quickly! I was away when it happened, but now that I've returned, It's overrun, and all of the villagers, including our Turaga, are gone!" Ruby had no idea what a Turaga was. "They've barricaded themselves in a hut, but the Rahi broke the pump and now they can't escape!" "What's a Rahi?" Ruby asked but was unheard. "Ruby, go towards the black rocks and keep walking." "What?!" "There's a village there. I'm sure of it!" "Yes, there is. Ta-Koro, the Fire Village," Maku confirmed. "But why do you want me to go there?! "You don't know what a Rahi is!" "You don't either!!!!" "Maybe so, but there may be a way to find some of my memories in Ga-Koro." "Are you crazy?!?! That reasoning is stupid!!!!!" Takua chuckles. "Well stupid must be my middle name then!!!" And with that, he recklessly hopped into the nearby boat with Haku following. Ruby made a few noises of frustration and took off for Ta-Koro.
After opening the gate and entering Ga-Koro, Haku and Takua find a large leafy mass on the edge. Near it, they saw a person attempting to tear it open. The person was tall, very tall, and had tan skin and dark brown curly hair. He tried hard, but couldn't get the hut open. He spotted the 2 and beckoned for their help. They tried their hardest, but could not get the hut open. "It's not budging! Surprising considering it's made of leaves!" Takua said. The stranger walked over to the water and looked at a small tube popping out. "It's not opening! Is there any other way to get it open?!" He said into the tube. Takua started to think he was crazy. But surprisingly, a response came! "The only way to open the entrance and allow the hut to rise is to repair the village pumps!" "Turaga!" Haku shouted. This must be the Turaga she was talking about back on the shoreline. "A few pieces fell into the water once the Rahi smashed them!" "If we can find those pieces and repair the pumps, the Hut might rise!" "Then that's what we'll have to do." Takua resolved. "Luckily, I always carry a light stone for this situation." Haku said pulling out a small stone that emitted a large yellow light. She gave it to the stranger, and he dived into the water without a second thought. Under the water, he searched and searched. But he couldn't find anything of use. It was starting to seem
like a fruitless search. He began looking around his body. Suddenly a piece of metal shone in the distance. He quickly swam towards it and picked it up. He took it with him as he headed back to shore. After making it back, he climbed onto the landmass of Ga-Koro and gave the piece to Haku. Haku then proceeded to connect the piece to the large apparatus.
Within seconds, the hut started rising. The ground began to shake as if trying to move away from the force of gravity. The stranger had never seen anything like this before. He stood by the large machine watching the movement. The Hut was large and erupted out of the leafy entrance. The villagers exited the Hut, only to be met with a large creature emerging from the water! The creature thrust its large foreleg toward the villagers attempting to kill them all in one blow! The stranger stood in front of them, summoning a pink shield, but before the creature's foremen could make contact, someone jumped in front of the shield, blocking the blow with 2 large hooks. The stranger's eyes widened in shock. "Lapis?!" he whispered in awe. The second stranger landed in front of the shield and jumped toward the creature, dodging blow after blow. In between blows, she swung her hooks towards the creature's eyes, piercing them through. The beast screeched in pain and attempted to swipe her from the air, but was unable to do so. She got onto its back and drove her hooks into it. She started to steer it towards the water.
The stranger finally recovered from his surprise. His face scrunched up in rage and he began sprinting towards the fight. "No! Wait!" he yelled. She ignored the man and pushed the monster into the lake. When the creature sunk beneath the surface, taking the second stranger along with it, the stranger charged forward and nearly jumped into the water. only to be stopped by an Aquamarine gem holding a trident. The gem shook her head and the stranger had no choice but to watch. Suddenly, the second stranger jumped out of the water. When she landed, she tosses out the mask that was embedded in the creature's mouth. Now, the first stranger was able to get a good look at her. A blue poncho covered part of her navy blue crop top. and was pinned together by a golden pendant. She wore Baggy navy and gold pants with black markings, bandages on the foreleg, and indigo sandals. She also wore bandages around her arms and had a lapis lazuli gemstone on her navel. Her blue hair was short and fell onto her head naturally. The first stranger knew that this wasn't his lapis.
The strange gem walked towards the trident holding Aquamarine and bent down to her level. "Turaga, are you and the other villagers alright?" "Yes. Thanks to you Toa Gali." Gali. That's her name. Takua and the Stranger both wondered what a Toa was though. The Turaga helped the people of Ga-Koro to their feet and turned the Takua and the Stranger. "I apologize, but I don't recognize either of you. What Koro are you from?" "I am Takua. And I don't remember." Takua replied. "And I'm Steven. I'm not even from this Island." "Yes. I figured that. You don't look like a gem." "Well I am half gem, but the rest of me is organic." "Hmm. I'm definitely intrigued. But, that can wait. I am Turaga Nokama. One of the 6 Turaga across Mata Nui. You probably seek answers about Island. As repayment for your help, I will give you the information I have. Our astrologer has predicted a dark future for our Island. The time will come when an evil force will attempt to take over. But luckily, the time has also come for the Toa to rise and combat this evil." "Toa... What's a Toa?" Steven asks curiously. "The Toa are the prophesized Defenders of our home. They are where made to defend us from the dark forces of the evil Makuta. Toa Gali here is one of the 6. One for each fundamental element, with her representing Water. All that remains are the Toa of Fire, Air, Stone, Earth, and Ice." Steven nods, and thanks Nokama. He and Takua leave Ga-Koro behind. After walking for a while, Steven asks. "Have you seen any, weird gems around here?" "What do you mean?" "Any with a star somewhere on their clothing?" Takua's eyes widen. "Yes. Just one. A Ruby, like me. I told her to go to what I assume is the fire Koro." Steven's eyes widen. "Perfect! Lead the way!!" With that, he and Takua rode by boat to the Fire Koro.
