When Two Worlds Meet

Chapter 1

Makoto Kino stirred her chocolate milkshake around with her spoon. She was bummed and once again witnessed another argument take place between two of her best friends; Usagi and Ray. Abruptly, Makoto slammed her hand down on the hard table. She advised them both to act like adults instead of children bickering. Normally, Makoto could handle their disputes here and there, however. Here lately, it has been constantly repeating between the two. With that, she walked out of the arcade to get some fresh air. Makoto looked up in the sky and noted a storm was coming in.

"This looks like it's going to be a huge one. Possible flooding to go along with it." She verbalized to no one in particular.

On the way home, Makoto reflected on how much the girls had overcome-including herself. Nowadays, being a student at the local college and a sailor scout had left her extremely exhausted. Now on the rise, the next enemy had shown itself, literally. They appeared to be nothing, but what she could describe as 'a ghost figure.' Last week was the girl's first encounter with the mysterious being. When they walked closer to the so-called translucent person, it disappeared in front of their eyes.

The lighting and thunder that boomed vociferously caught Makoto's attention. She also noticed the sky's color for a storm wasn't the normal gray, but instead a purple swirl.

"What on Earth is going on?"

Out from the distance, she could hear some sort of shouting.

'Who could that be?' Makoto implored, as she headed in that direction.

Suddenly, Makoto came to a halt in her footsteps, as what she saw before astonished her to no end. There stood a perplexed, handsome man. He wore blue jeans and a flannel shirt and boots. His brown hair was short and neatly fixed. What came next made Makoto jump out of her skin just by his grunting angry tone that he yelled out.

"DAMN IT ,CAS! Where did you send me now? I hope you can get me back home!"

Then, the man picked himself up and dusted off his clothes. He looked around at this new domain that he'd been transported to. He searched underneath his shirt tail to make sure his liable gun was still there. However, he came to realize it was not.

"SON OF A BITCH!"

Posterior to, he saw a girl that had witnessed his movements. The panic feeling began to flood the miss, as her eyes clearly showed this.

"Miss, are you alright?" The man asked as he waved his hand to get her awareness.

The woman was tall and slender. She had on white capris and an orange top with tan slip on shoes. Her long brunette hair was put back in a turquoise clip; her bangs were in front of her face. The woman's hazel eyes would twinkle in fear. When she turned her head, Dean saw she had on rose bud earrings.

'What world did I step into?' Dean quizzed himself.

Makoto thought he was a dreamy hunk, for her heart would beat frantically.

"Miss?" Dean query again.

"Oh! Hi!" The brunette said and blushed.

"Are you okay?" Dean beseech.

" I should be asking you that question."

"Huh? Oh! I'm fine!" Dean relayed, bewildered and requested. "What's your name?"

"Makoto. Yours?"

"Dean Winchester." The man responded in a delighted way.

Makoto could not stop staring at him. Out of the blue, Dean's stomach growled uproariously. It had been a while since the Winchester had eaten anything. Makoto smiled at Dean.

"What?"

"I know how to fix that. Follow me!" Makoto instructed, as she wheeled away from him and into another direction; Dean did as he was told.

A few blocks later, they had made it to Makoto's apartment. She dug inside her bag for the key that would allow access to her home. After it unlocked, Makoto located the light switch and turned it on. Once the light illuminated the area, the brightness took a moment to adjust to. Makoto stepped to the side and announced.

"Go ahead, make yourself at home."

Makoto took the keys and put them in a forest green examined the space in the apartment. He detailed the small bathroom and kitchen that had an undersized table and a few chairs out to the living room was about the size of the kitchen. She had a TV that had a narrow entertainment center, below it were shelves that held her movies. Dean also noticed a bookshelf next to it that held mostly paperback novels. The bathroom was next to the exit door. The place was barely big enough for a toilet, sink, and a shower stall.

"You live here? By yourself?" Dean blurted out.

"Yes, I do." Makoto replied, defensively.

Makoto brushed it to the side and went into the kitchen and began to set pots and pans onto the stove. Then, she went to the fridge to retrieve items from there. The best way for her to let things go was to cook. Even though this meal that she had in mind to fix wasn't a huge one. It would do the job of fulfilling the empty bellies.

"Say, whatcha fixing?" Dean pressed.

"Beef Stew." Makoto answered and beamed at him.

"Sounds awesome!"

"And for dessert…I thought about fixing a pie. Not sure which flavor. I will have to see what I can whip up."

"Did you just say pie?!" Dean exclaimed, while his mouth watery.

"Yes."

"Oh, hell yes!"

After the meal was fully cooked. The two seated themselves to start to eat this succulent food that was before them.

Dean bit into his meal and said. "OH MY GOD! THAT'S DELICIOUS

"Thank you!" Makoto said, as her cheeks reddened.

Dean reflected on how this woman could prepare a meal. It was true, she was beautiful. Nevertheless, this wasn't his world. He had to find a way back home soon. He had people counting on him.

Makoto chuckled lightly to herself, as she watched Dean eat messy. She loved to see people enjoy her food, it made vivacious. All the happiness left Makoto's mind as the thought about the new opponent came to her.

'What if he's behind- I don't think he is. After years being a sailor guardian, it taught me to rely on my instincts in life, as I have in battle.'

In the past, she had fallen for the bad guys, but he was different. He did have an ill temperament. However, it could be whatever he had went through. Before Makoto could stop herself, she probed the following.

"Where did you come from? Oops! I am so sorry!"

"No, it's okay. I am in your ….Um, territory. It's only fair. I don't know where 'here' is, but where I live looks nothing like this." Dean stated.

"What do you do?"

"I'm a hunter. I hunt things that's not natural and cease their existence. Hunting things…Saving people…The family business."

"Hunting what not natural things, exactly?"

"Supernatural creatures. You know, vampires, werewolves, ghosts. Those types of supernatural creatures."

"Oh,wow!Really, they exist?"

"Yes."

At that moment, Makoto's communicator went off.

"Excuse me for one second." Makoto imparted.

Dean nodded, as she headed to her bedroom and shut the door for privacy.

Meanwhile, Dean studied the surroundings of this place and wondered what was in store for black leather love seat was positioned in front of the other window, in the direction of the TV. His eyes caught some cooking books on the floor that were piled on top of one another and besides it was a memo pad and a pen. The sunlight coming from the window cast an odd shape as it blinded the spot. Dean acknowledged the design of rose petal curtains that hung from the window. The wall consisted of hung framed pictures of her and a few other girls, smiling at the once photographer.

In all, Dean questioned repeatedly in his mind. 'Where is this place?'

Makoto lifted the lid up to the communicator.

"There you are!" Sailor Mars revealed."I am sorry… Sailor Moon and myself had already apologized to one another. I wanted to let you know this and also you left your notebook here."

"Thanks!"

"You want me to bring it by. It's my turn to patrol the city."

"You can. Um, do you feel like doing a reading tonight?"

"Sure. Who is it?"

"A guy I bumped into this evening."

"A guy, you just bumped into? And let me guess you have already fed him? And you most likely have fallen for him?!"

"The man was starving and you know how I am when it comes to that. I don't know about falling for him. He's not bad looking, though."

"MAKOTO! What if he's the new enemy?"

"I don't think he is. I didn't sense it anyway."

Sailor Mars sighed and pronounced, " I'll be on my way."

"And Mars?"

"Yes?"

"No scout form."

"Got it!"

With that the call ended and soon after Makoto went back to her guest.

More to come!
