Hi readers. I'm VickyT36. I'm a fan of Law and Order SVU, and I got this idea for a fanfic. I hope you enjoy!

Act 1

One evening in New York City, a teenage girl was in her bedroom. She was average height, had light skin, long brown hair, and green eyes. She wore a white blouse, black jeans, and white sneakers.

"Liana, I'm leaving now." called a man's voice.

"Okay, bye Dad." the girl called.

After a few minutes, Liana got a text. She picked up her phone, and read,

"Are you ready?"

She texted back,

"Yes."

"Great, meet me at the corner of Pine and Apple, I'll pick you up from there." was the reply.

"I'll be there."

Liana quickly put on some make-up, grabbed her purse, and left her house. Outside in the city night, Liana stood at the corner of Pine and Apple. After waiting for a little while, a silver sedan pulled up.

Liana then went to the passenger's side, and got in the car. And then the car drove off into the night.

The next day at the SVU the detectives were at their desks.

"Hey, I'm going for coffee, anyone want one?" asked Elliot Stabler.

"Grab me one." Olivia Benson, his partner piped up.

As he walked to the coffee machine, and poured his cups, he saw a woman walk in. She was a middle aged African American woman with a short afro, wearing a yellow long sleeved shirt, jeans, and low heels.

"May I help you ma'am?" Stabler offered.

"Yes, I need to speak to someone about one of my students."

He led her over to his desk, after dropping off Benson's coffee.

"My name's Jennifer Edwards, and I'm worried about one of my students."

"You're a teacher?"

"Yes, I teach 10th grade math at PS 90." "Who's the student?"

"Liana Thomson, she wasn't in class today."

"Is that out of character for her?"

"Not usually. She's a good kid, but lately she hasn't been herself."

"What's the problem?"

"She's been having a rough time lately. Issues at home, she doesn't hang out with her friends anymore, and I noticed that she's been missing some classes. Plus with what I saw last night."

"What did you see?"

Ms. Edwards then pulled out her phone, and showed him a picture. In it was a picture of Liana in a car with a man.

"And that's not her father, and as far as I'm aware of she doesn't have any uncles."

Stabler then looked over at Benson, who in turn looked back at him.

The two of them got Liana's address from the school, and drove by.

"You think this girl could be in trouble?" asked Benson.

"Well the teacher certainly seems concerned." Stabler replied.

They got out of their car, and walked up to the front door. Stabler rang the doorbell, and a minute later a middle aged man opened the door. He had short brown hair, green eyes, and wore a blue shirt, brown pants, and brown shoes.

"Can I help you?" he asked.

"Mr. Thomson, Detectives Stabler and Benson Special Victims Unit. Do you know where your daughter is?" Stabler questioned.

"Liana? She's at school."

"No, her teacher Ms. Edwards said she wasn't there." Benson informed.

"Well...she's probably just playing hookey today. I'm sure she's in her room."

He invited them in, and the detectives closed the door behind them.

"Is it like Liana to skip school?" asked Benson, as they all walked up the stairs.

"I don't think so." Mr. Thomson.

"Ms. Edwards said Liana was having some trouble at home."

"Well...my wife walked out on us a few months ago."

"Sorry to hear that."

When they got upstairs, they heard someone coming out of a room. They saw that it was a young woman about 19-years-old, with blonde hair, blue eyes, and wearing a blue dress, and holding her matching heels in her hands.

"Oh, Felix, I was just leaving." she told Mr. Thomson, as she went to the stairs.

"Bye Cindy."

As the girl hurried down the stairs, the detectives looked back at Mr. Thomson.

"Oh, that's just a friend of mine." Mr. Thomson explained.

Benson and Stabler looked at each other knowingly. They'd heard that excuse before.

"Liana, are you in there?" Mr. Thomson, asked as he knocked on her door.

But there was no answer.

"Liana, we're coming in."

Mr. Thomson opened the door, and found that there was no one inside. This shocked Mr. Thomson. If Liana wasn't at home and she wasn't at school, then where was she?
