I lied! Ok, wings of fire is pretty fun to write about so I'm back to it but with a new idea I want to try out. (VERY different from the Evil Gory AU you probably know about)

Tsunami came first. The Seawing she held in her grasp writhed like a pathetic fish seeking water as she held his head under her claw. Scarlet waited for Tsunami to kill him, to end the fight. She didn't. "What are you waiting for?" If any of the dragonets could do it, it would be Tsunami. She always bragged about her strength so why was she unwilling to do it? It was him or her. She NEEDED to end this! Glory almost broke her cover as she bit her tongue. Tsunami looked down once more but she had loosened her grip and that was it. All the Seawing needed. He broke out of her hold and went straight for her throat once more, clinging onto her as he scraped his claws down her body, opening up more wounds. She finally gave in and with a quick snap, ended the tortured Seawing. What came next was not something Glory expected.

Tsunami turned to Scarlet and before Glory could comprehend what she was about to do, Tsunami had already sprung forward, trying to reach the Queen and just barely being stopped by the guards who took her away. Glory waited with baited breath and the next day, she learned what her friend's fate would be. If she had been quicker, she could have saved her. She knew of her venom, she knew it would kill Scarlet but she hesitated. Tsunami was gone and the banging gong that signaled her passing wouldn't stop playing in her head all night.

Starflight was taken a day later. They interrupted his match as Morrowseer swooped down and took the Nightwing dragonet without a second thought, leaving the crowd in disappointment before Queen Scarlet had the 'fabulous' idea to have Clay fight once more. After his victory came the trial where Peril, as Glory found out her name, would stand in defense for Kestrel. "Not that she deserved it." So another day passed and Glory figured out who the challenger would be…Clay.

The fight was brutal for neither side truly wanted to kill the other. Glory was unsure as to why Clay held this murderer in such a manner but as long as it made him survive, that was all she needed but it was too late. Scarlet grew bored and snapped her claw, making the guards take action. They lunged at Peril and caused her to slip up in fear of being slashed, landing into Clay and singing his scales. The metal in his cuffs burned into his skin causing pain glory could not imagine before his eyes went white, leaving Peril in a crying mess while the Rainwing could only watch, unable to move. Her body was frozen as she saw the dragon she cared for above all others lose his life. She wanted to cry, to scream, to kill. Her mind swirled and without thought, she hissed at Burn who shrugged her off, taking her prize that Glory did not know about. One more hiss and Queen Scarlet was gone, reduced to a painful writhing mass before Glory was taken into custody, caged in the arena.

The sound of a dragon landing woke her up. She had lost her sense of care as she stared up at the monster before her. It took a lot of her willpower to not kill Peril right on the spot. The Skywing didn't look that much better. Her eyes were dry from crying and her body trembled as if it was snowing. "C-C-Clay sa-said your na-na-name was G-G-G-Glory?" She muttered out, trying to stand still but failing. Glory just glared at her before pretending to fall back asleep. It was an uncomfortable silence before she continued. "I just…I t-thought you…the Sandwing, Sunny? S-S-Burn took her. I di-didn't k-know who t-tell c-cuz ev-everyone else is g-g-g-gone." She mumbled through baited breath.

Her body clenched. "That vile, lizard licking, snake breathing, scavenger breath-" She returned her dark gaze back to the Skywing but now with her full attention. Glory forced herself up, her mind racing. Starflight was who knows where and now Sunny was gone. She was truly alone. She spent years considering herself the outcast but now she truly felt like that. "Why are you telling me?" She asked with a hiss. She didn't know how snake-like she sounded but the fact that Peril didn't hesitate wasn't a good sign of her scariness.

"I-I want to help…save her. C-Clay would want that, wouldn't he?" She asked worriedly.

Glory never got to look at Peril that well before this moment. If she hadn't killed Clay just the day before, she would be able to see just how similar the two really were. Both isolated from their tribes in one way or another, both outcasts and now, both alone. Peril's eyes were lost like a dragonet abandoned by its parents. The anger inside of her began to dwindle. "She's nearly unkillable. Maybe having her as an ally would be preferable to her as an enemy…" "Yes, he would. But I can't escape on my own."

Peril nodded, laying her claws on chains and burning them, freeing Glory. "There. S-so I can help? I really didn't me-me-mean to k-k-k-" The Rainwing took notice of just how badly Peril was shaking. It was weird seeing Scarlet's toy killer in such a sorry state. In the little time she had known Peril, Glory had only known her to be semi interested in killing others.

Glory wished the annoying Skywing would just shut up. She didn't need to be reminded of Clay right now. "If you bring it up again I won't let you come with me." Glory growled before stretching her wings. Peril let out a light whimper but nodded once more, staying silent while Glory looked around. Starflight was the one with the map knowledge in his head but she couldn't waste time trying to find him. He would be safest between him and Sunny if he was with the Nightwings. "How do we get to the Sandwing kingdom?"

Peril gazed at the sky while sniffing in sadness still. "S-southwest of here. It's a straight path unless you don't want to fly for too long." She said, getting up as well.

It would take Burn a few days to reach her castle. Sunny would be ok until then. "Fine. We can tail Burn. Come on!" She said and took off, flying above the arena while the Skywing guards were not looking. The other prisoners scoffed at their escape as they believed they would be caught but Glory knew better. With Peril's scales and her venom, no dragon could stand in their way. Even if she wished for better company, Peril was better then nothing.

Peril was a much faster flier. Being a Skywing, she overtook Glory and took the lead. In truth, Glory kind of enjoyed it as the larger dragon took the wind and gave Glory an easy flight. During the terrible events that had transpired, Glory forgot that she had only been out of the mountain for a few days. Part of her wished to enjoy the moonlight and take a break in the pond below them but she needed to press on, Sunny needed her. She wasn't going to lose her like Tsunami and Clay. "Stop thinking about them. Focus on Sunny." Easier said than done. Each moment she seemed to be broken by terrible images of Clay's eyes going blank and the ringing of the instrument that played during Tsunami's death. The sun began to rise and Glory had realized how long they had been flying. Hours and hours went by with Peril taking chances to turn her head and give the Rainwing a worried look to which Glory would respond with a soft grunt, telling her to go on. "Quit looking back and fly." How much longer until they reached Sunny? How could Burn be this fast…everything turned hazy. Glory's head banged like pots being smashed against each other. It took all of her energy to keep flying, to keep moving forward. She held her breath as a sharp flash followed by intense rain turned her mind to that terrible ringing of the instrument. She heard a sharp scream from Clay before everything went dark.

Short? Yes…that's all. Hope you enjoyed.
