Hello there! This is my first story, more like "first attempt to write something". I'm honestly not sure if what I wrote is even vaguely decent. But hey, I tried right?

I recently started to re-watch Fairy Tail, and it's no secret the fact its creator likes to overshadow or cast aside good characters over the same main ones. So I thought, why not trying to give them some space? Characters of the calibre of Jellal, Macbeth (Midnight), Erik (Cobra) etc, etc.

Note: English isn't my native language, so it's pretty positive you'll find various errors or grammar mistakes. Sorry about that.

Disclaimer: I do not own Fairy Tail or High School DxD. All rights, characters and media belong to their respective authors.

Year X792, Kingdom of Fiore, Earth Land. Peace reigned in the world of magic par excellence. Several months have passed since the downfall of the Alvarez Empire, its emperor Zeref was stopped for good and Acnologia was defeated by the Dragon Slayers, it was the result of their combining powers that they managed to take down the black dragon of the apocalypse once for all. However, as we know, peace isn't something grated for free as evil was always round the corner to break it anytime.

On top of a hill, certain individuals were standing proud looking at the distance, the fresh spring wind was blowing against their faces, accompanied by the beautiful view of the kingdom of Fiore and its surroundings. The bright colours of Fiore's forests were filling their moods with bliss, making their job much more enjoyable. Now dusk was soon setting, the horizon was coloured in an orange-reddish shade which made the view even more wonderful.

The aforementioned guild was known as Crime Sorcière, an independent guild founded by Jellal Fernandes, former leader of the cult of Zeref, as well as one of the most notorious and infamous ex-dark mages in Fiore. Nowadays, however, Jellal's regret towards his past deeds had caused him the need to atone for his past sins, which led him to the foundation of Crime Sorcière itself. Of course, Jellal wasn't alone, he was in the company of several highly powerful former dark mages: Meredy Milkovich, a former member of the now-disbanded dark guild known as Grimoire Heart of the Balam Alliance, nowadays she's a loyal companion of Jellal, whom she regarded as an older brother figure. Macbeth Blake, also known as Midnight, foster son of Brain of the Oracion Seis Guild and reflector wizard, and one of the strongest members of the guild. Sorano, aka Angel, celestial mage and sister of Yukino Agria of Sabertooth. Erik Viper, nicknamed Cobra, second-generation Poison Dragon Slayer, happened to be one of the 'chosen ones' to participate in the fight against Acnologia. Sawyer Race, also named Racer, and as the name suggests, the fastest mage in Ishgar and expert in speed magic. And finally, Richard Buchanan, or Hoteye, an ex-dark mage, and strong earth wizard like the others. As for now, the independent guild was ready to spring into action in case a new dark guild wreaked havoc and chaos in the kingdom.

Currently, the independent vigilantes were about to face the current threat, the Tartaros Guild, or at least what remained of it. After failing to 'resurrect E.N.D', losing to Fairy Tail and its disbandment, the present-day re-founder was none other than Jiemma Orland, former master of Sabertooth, once a human, then turned into a demon after being resurrected as such. Since the dark demonic guild's apparent disappearance, Jiemma's main aim was to bring it back to life with some changes, during the past year, his obsession with strength and lust for power severely increased, which led to the re-foundation of one of the most powerful dark guild, that he liked to call Neo Tartaros.

Now though, Crime Sorcière was at the gates of Veronica, a small independent country that is located in the north of Fiore. The principality had the characteristics of a generic western European city. It was a mountainous area surrounded by forests, in other words, one of the next targets of the reborn Tartaros. What they were planning was unknown to the authorities at the moment, but for some reason, he managed to slip away under the radars of the Magic Council of Fiore. According to Jellal, his primal goal was to bring Tartaros to its previous glory, yet nobody would've expected he would begin targeting the small boroughs on the borders of the continent, the highest likelihood was a coup d'état.

"Alright team," Jellal began. "It's now more than certain that Tartaros is going to strike in this area. According to the latest citizens' reports, unknown individuals have been spotted in the surroundings but not yet identified or captured, however, it's likely confirmed that they're with Tartaros. They never attack in the daytime, meaning they'll operate at night. Since they reappeared, they seem to be much less strong than they used to be... still, we mustn't let our guard down."

"Now that sounds good." Erik cracked his knuckles, smirking at the idea of having a good warm-up, sure he wasn't a battle maniac like the likes of Natsu or Gajeel, but if he had the chance to kick butts in the ring, then why not? "Been itching for kicking that Jiemma prick's ass for a while."

"We shouldn't rule out the fact he won't be alone. Also, it's probably they'll be targeting the town hall to uproot the mayor. I bet they won't hesitate to target the citizens if they get in their way. Which means we'll have to stop his henchmen beforehand." Macbeth elaborated with a hand under his chin.

"Well, aren't you the clever one, Macbeth?" The white-haired woman, Sorano teased while playfully touching his arm with her index finger.

Macbeth blushed a little but maintained his calm attitude. "How flattering of you, Sorano." He replied with a hint of sarcasm.

"Love! Its power is wonderful. Your hearts have finally spoken. Your mutual feelings for one another are in the air! Oh yeah!" Richard voiced in a theatrical tone.

Sorano's cheeks reddened as well. "Would you knock it off for once, Richard?!" She protested while looking away in embarrassment.

Meredy couldn't help but giggle at their quarrel. "Now, guys let's not bickering with one another, why not get along as a friendly team would?" She said with a smile.

Jellal watched the scene and let out an amused yet sincere smile at the sight. Seeing the team getting along each passing day brought a soft expression to his face, after all, fighting, taking down dark guilds and, if possible, bringing them to justice wasn't the only purpose of Crime Sorcière. Atoning their sins was another step to their own amendment, becoming better people, finding their own path and creating bonds with each other. The bond they all shared when they were once trapped in the Tower of Heaven as children was now a minor thing, what mattered most was storing their past and looking forward to a new future. As the blue-haired mage was gazing at them he soon turned over to the landscape.

"It's time," Jellal said to his comrades getting their collective nods. "Let's head to the city." With that said the seven mages took off straight to the town.

To prevent any kind of drawback or casualty, Jellal contacted the prince of Veronica, Cream, warning him of a probable assault by a dark guild, which he surprisingly listened to, referring he will evacuate the principal at the first sight of danger. To make things easier, Jellal booked a couple of rooms at a local motel so they could have a place to sleep for now. It wasn't long before night fell. Crime Sorcière was outside of their residence.

"Alright, everyone. We're going to split up into two teams. Macbeth, Erik, you two are with me, we'll stay behind and protect the town." Jellal said and received a nod from both men. "Meredy, you will go with Sorano, Sawyer, and Richard. You will stand guard at the town limits to prevent any threats from outside. It's plausible that Tartaros's minions are setting up an ambush from the woods."

"Wouldn't it be better to stick together?" Sawyer asked as he wasn't convinced.

"Supposedly so, but splitting up will help us to cover a major area," Jellal replied. "Plus, I'm fairly sure your magic wouldn't come in handy in tight places like this, Sawyer. The same could be said for Richard. And we cannot risk damaging this city more than we'll have to, can we?" He said jokingly. He wasn't wrong in the matter since Sawyer's magic would turn more effective in wide-open space, as well as Richard's earth magic.

"Hmph. Smartass." Sawyer briefly commented but agreed nonetheless.

Meredy on the other hand was still worried and approached the blue-haired mage. "I don't know Jellal, I think Sawyer is right. Splitting up may turn risky. I mean what if Tartaros has a trump card like some dangerous spell we are unaware of?" She spoke concerned.

Jellal patted his friend's shoulder with a confident smile. "There's no need to worry Meredy, we'll be alright. Macbeth, Erik and I are well capable of taking care of our own. Plus, we already know what Jiemma and his men are capable of, true, he could have an ace upon his sleeves, but it'd be impossible to get stronger in such a short time, even for him. So the possibilities for him to go for the surprise element are low."

"Yeah, it's not like we're going to be sucked into a warp popping out into a new dimension or anything." Erik voiced sarcastically.

"To be blunt, this time I kind of agree with Jellal. We have high chances to succeed in this operation. We're all far stronger than we were before, I doubt he'll be a big problem to deal with." Macbeth agreed with Jellal.

Jellal nodded in appreciation. "I have faith in all of you, our work is to ensure a better future for everyone, even for us. Am I right Erik?"

"Tch, just don't get all sentimental. I ain't got the guts for that shit now." Erik replied while looking away. Suddenly his expression changed as his face got serious. "I can hear it." He voiced gathering their collective attention. "They're approaching, time to go."

"Right." Jellal nodded. "Everyone, are you ready?" All the mages gave their nods. "Let's do this then."

With that said, Meredy, Sorano, Sawyer and Richard left for the city borders leaving Jellal, Macbeth and Erik behind to guard the town's interiors. It was safe to assume the reborn Tartaros would likely use teleportation magic to infiltrate Veronica's downtown, one more reason for the trio to stay behind and protect it.

"Alright, now what?" Erik asked.

"We'll have to wait until they'll show themselves," Macbeth replied.

Minutes later. Unexpectedly to the mages, a large magic circle appeared in the sky, with the Tartaros symbol in the centre of it. It was large, a violet light glowed from it.

"A magic circle?" Jellal uttered widening his eyes.

"What the hell's happening?!" Erik spat.

"Erik, what are you hearing?" Macbeth asked.

"Nothing but growls…" The dragon slayer answered.

Much to their chagrin, a massive dark blue, humanoid Demon materialised from the magic circle. Its size was up to 20 meters. It had a large torso and two huge muscled arms that end in scaly hands, its legs were also as large as its arms. It had a pair of huge horns that pointed upwards, mane-like long hair, large sharpened teeth and red eyes. While Macbeth and Erik couldn't identify the colossal demon, Jellal immediately recognized the creature, one of the most dangerous demons created by the now-deceased Zeref.

"Deliora..." Jellal murmured in disbelief. 'How is it still alive?... Wait! No…' he understood. "Damn you, what have you done Jiemma?!…"

"You know that freak?" Macbeth turned over to him.

"Yes… he was one of the demons created by Zeref. For years, It's been infamous for its destruction thirst, unsurprisingly it's also known as the Demon of Destruction." Jellal explained quickly. "We need to stop it before it destroys the whole town!"

"On it!" Erik stated as he ignited his fist of his poison.

"I'm ready" Macbeth added charging his dark aura.

"I'm afraid I can't let you do as you please, humans."

The new voice was calm but emitted arrogance out the wazoo. Looking over their shoulders they spotted the owner of the voice, it belonged to a rather tall, lean young man with dark long wavy hair tied up in a large ponytail with messy bangs over his forehead. He wore a long black jacket with a white-coloured label with its tail being tattered. Beneath it, he sported a frilly black V-necked shirt with a piece of fabric on it. He also wore white trousers with X formed buckles on the ankles' zone and black boots. Behind him were several of Tartaros' henchmen, which consisted of simple armed soldiers/guards.

"Well, if it isn't the Oracion Seis, it's quite fancy meeting my former associates of the Balam Alliance in a place like this." The man greeted smirking evilly.

"Mard Geer Tartaros." Jellal narrowed his eyes at the man, or demon, in question.

"Thought you kicked the bucket, honestly," Erik said bluntly.

"How are you still alive?" Macbeth demanded.

Mard Geer's usual smirk never left his lips, and slowly grew wider. "The power of curses of us demons are far greater than you humans could ever comprehend. Explaining our methods would be nothing but a waste of my time. Tartaros is back, that is what matters, and our first purpose is to punish you, humans, for having put to shame our very existence with yours." He taunted.

'Wait, something's off with this guy. Why can't I read his soul…' Erik thought.

"Your time has come, humans! Attack!" Mard Geer ordered to his minions who dashed forward to assault the mages immediately.

Erik and Macbeth lunged forward and threw themselves into the fay and started battling Mard Geer and his henchdemons.

"Erik! You know what to do!" Macbeth shouted.

"Heard you loud and clear," Erik replied as he smashed his poisonous fists in two of Mard's guards' faces blasting them off. "Jellal, we'll stay here fighting this chump and his goons. You go take down that giant bastard over there." He said as he was dodging and hitting the guards in his way at the same time.

"Are you sure about…?" Jellal tried to argue but was interrupted by Macbeth.

"Don't worry, we got this! Go before it starts destroying everything!" The nightmare mage exclaimed.

Jellal gritted his teeth as he hesitated in leaving behind his comrades but nodded. He surrounded his body with a light-yellow glow, in seconds he was flying after the giant demon at high speed.

"And where do you think you're going, human?" Mard Geer tried to stop Jellal's assault with his thorn curse but was suddenly cut off and punched in the face sending him backwards.

"You're now my opponent, Tartaros," Macbeth said with his fist engulfed with dark-green flames.

Mard Geer rubbed his cheek in slight irritation, scowling at the human who dared touch him but quickly waved it off, replacing it with his usual smug smirk. "Midnight, correct?" He asked his opponent with a calm threatening voice. "I would say it's a pleasure to confront one of the Oracion Seis's bigwigs face to face. The son of Brain nonetheless."

"That title doesn't belong to me anymore, my father was taken out for good. Our past lies beneath us now." Macbeth corrected.

"That's rather surprising indeed, one of the most prominent dark guilds now fights to protect weaklings? What an amusing circumstance… Even so, it's time for you and your companions to meet your doom! Thorns!" A series of thorny rose vines emerged from the ground aiming straight at the nightmare mage.

Macbeth smirked as the thorns never hit him, that was a result of his Reflector Magic, which granted him the ability to distort and manipulate every unliving thing that was material or nonmaterial. Apparently disappearing from the demon's sight, Macbeth sped up and reappeared behind Mard Geer, Macbeth unleashed his dark covered fist. "Dark Slash!" A powerful strike was landed on Mard's face. However, the demon quickly backflipped, landing a few meters away. Mard Geer summoned a new torrent of thorns before Macbeth obscuring his sight for some moments.

Thinking it was enough to disorient him, Mard Geer attempted to strike overhead, but Macbeth's immense reflexes warned him to sidestep causing Mard Geer to miss him. The demon swung his legs around but the mage parried his kick by crossing his arms. Dodging a blow and ducking another kick, Macbeth countered his next strikes unleashing his own beams of darkness sending the demon backwards.

"Dea Yggdrasil!" Mard Geer shouted. A huge spinning sphere appeared in his palm as an immense light-wooden beam was fired from his hand that collided with Macbeth's dark magic cancelling each other. Macbeth quickly waved his arms forward; various invisible air blades were hurled at the demon. Mard crossed his arms trying to parry the attack, but it hit him nonetheless sending him crashing into a wall forming a crater. However, he emerged from it with small bruises on his clothes.

"Not bad, human." Mard Geer praised as he wiped the dirt off his clothes.

"Please, this is nothing. I'm just getting started." Macbeth retorted confidentially. "What do you think we take this up a notch?"

"Request accepted." The demon replied.

Meanwhile, Jellal was heading to Deliora using his signature magical move; Meteor. Having gotten to the demon, Jellal managed to clash with the monster, landing a strong blow on its stomach. Deliora growled in pain, but Jellal wasn't done yet, while still in the air, Jellal took a stance as he held one hand up.

"Pleiades!" He shouted as six rays of light fell from the sky with great force creating a series of explosions on the demon of destruction's body. Deliora was hit on the upper part of its body as it howled in pain. Before Jellal could keep on with his attacks, he was hit by a sudden explosion as he was sent flying on a roof.

"Who would've imagined you'd show up to protect this pitiful principal, Jellal." A new deep, manly voice stated.

"Huh?"

On the other side of the roof, stood a tall, elderly man with a muscular physique with a large scar on his chest. He had white, long spiky hair and a long thick beard and moustache that covered his lower face, white eyes and pointed ears. He also sported a large decorative tattoo that was spread across his left side of his torso. The man in question was Jiemma Orland, none other than the re-founder of Neo Tartaros.

"Jiemma, to think you would stand so low and assault an independent principal. But then again, I shouldn't be surprised, after all, you still strongly believe in your specie's supposed superiority." Jellal said as he got up. 'Let's hope I can handle them. Cream should be able to evacuate all the citizens at this point…'

"That's correct! And I'm going to demonstrate you the proof of my theory by crushing you insects under my foot!" Jiemma announced as he fired a beam of his blast magic at the blue-haired mage.

Jellal quickly dodged the attack. 'Damn it… I normally can handle Jiemma without too much hassle, but with Deliora around it'll be a problem in the long run… Still, I won't… no, I can't give up!' "Meteor!" He shouted as he moved in the air surrounded by the light produced by his Heavenly Body Magic. Shotting forward, Jellal rapidly kicked Jiemma in the face. Making sure he was out momentarily out of the way, Jellal crossed his arm towards the sky creating a black swirling orb which was growing in size.

"Altairis!" Unleashing the orb from his hands, it was shot right towards Deliora hitting it on its chest. The giant dark-skinned demon snarled plainly as it spewed saliva and a bit of its blood from its mouth.

However, Jiemma came in assistance as he cast one more of his explosive blast but Jellal agilely evaded it thanks to the incredible speed he was moving. Engaging the demonic man in close range, Jiemma threw his fist which Jellal counterattacked with his own. The white-haired demon tossed his free arm for an uppercut, but the blue-haired mage sidestepped and unleashed a beam of Heavenly Magic right in Jiemma's stomach blasting him away.

After recovering from the previous blow, Deliora started to charge a lime-coloured sphere on its mouth. In seconds, it shot a powerful energy beam in Jellal's direction, which he barely dodged, upon the beam's release several explosions of flames erupted from the ground destroying everything in its path. The damage caused by the demon's beam was massive as he almost destroyed half of the principal. Slowly, Jellal looked back at the trail of destruction left by the fired Disaster Strike, buildings, houses, entire blocks were all reduced to ashes by a single blow, gasping at such sight he gritted his teeth and clenched his fists nervously.

"Do you see now, Jellal?" Jiemma called him as he was already up on his feet. "Do you see how pitiful your motives are to stand against us?" He taunted. He then gathered magical energy into his aura. "Now die! Blast Shock-Wave!" A powerful shockwave was emitted from his body which seemed to strike his target.

"I'm not done yet!" The ex-dark mage shouted from behind as he managed to evade the demon's previous blast. "Jiu Leixing!" Jellal created nine lightning-made swords and directed them to simultaneously strike his demonic foe. The light-based blades stroke Jiemma's back making him gasping in pain as he was sent flying to the street. "Your evil has no place in this world, Jiemma!" Jellal breathed out.

Jellal then turned to Deliora. The giant demon tried to smash him to the ground, but Jellal dodged its attack once again with Meteor and stroke a powerful hit in its face, he then delivered a double hook under the Etherious' chin.

"Jiu Leixing!" He once again fired his light-based blades squared in the horned demon's face. Deliora grunted in grief while falling on its back to the ground. Jellal landed but he was confronted by Jiemma again, who engaged himself in a close combat assault. Jiemma delivered a fury of punches and kicks fused with his blast magic, Jellal countered or evaded every attack only to be interrupted by Deliora who was able to stand back up. The demon slammed his arms in attempt to squash the mage once more. Jellal managed to dodge just in time, but he left himself wide open for a brief second, the bearded humanoid demon was able to catch him by surprise as he delivered a right hook in his face, followed by a heavy knee kick in his guts and a double-axe smash. Jellal grunted in pain as he was sent flying to the ground.

"Blast Explosion Beam!" Jiemma screamed as he fired his magical beam toward his foe.

Before reaching the soil Jellal shook his head and regained his heed, as he was able to active Meteor just in the nick of time, managing to escape Jiemma's offence as well. As he was flying, Jellal was still able to pull off his offence as he smashed multiple hits on Deliora's guts. But Jiemma took advantage of his momentarily distraction and shot another explosive beam at him once more, Jellal half-dodged it but was partially hit by the it on his right shoulder. As he downed on the field, Jellal panted a bit; he had a few cuts on his clothes and some wounds on his body.

"I hope you're aware of the situation you're currently in, Jellal. You won't last much longer, you're outnumbered, and your guild is scattered around the city." Jiemma stated. "It's only a matter of minutes until we can finally get rid of you!" He went on failing to realize his own injuries.

Jellal wiped off the blood streaming down his mouth and glared at him. "Why are you doing all of this? What's the point of causing all of this destruction?" He asked angrily.

Jiemma spared a glance at him and chuckled maliciously. "It's simple, to wipe out weaklings from existence."

"What?!" Jellal exclaimed.

"Yes! I can't stand weaklings, I never could. Ever since I was the master of Sabertooth, my only wish was to destroy anyone who got in our way… only to find out my guild was just a bunch of weaklings who started talking about love and friendship! Despicable! The moment I joined Tartaros and I was turned into a demon, I figured out how worthless I was a human… but now, as a demon, I desire nothing but cleaning this world from humanity's weakness." Jiemma explained. "Wiping them out is the duty of the individuals on top of the food chain. Humans are weak, pitiful, worthless worms, as such they need to be squashed by their legitim superiors. It's the survival of the fittest." He finished with a wicked chuckle.

The ex-dark mage was glaring in rage at Jiemma, just the thought that a former human could inflict pain on innocent people just because he considered them weak made him sick. Yes, Jellal did hurt people, a lot of people, he knew that he wasn't technically controlling his own actions, but, ever since he founded Crime Sorcière, his primal goal was to make amends for the crimes he committed. "You… you bastard…" Jellal growled in fury. "I swear on my life I'll put an end this folly. Your guild's story ends today! Whatever curse you're using to resurrect these demons isn't relevant, because I'm going to annihilate you now!"

Meanwhile, the two former dark wizards of Oracion Seis were still dealing with Mard Geer and his henchmen. Unlike Jellal, they were faring much better, Mard Geer was having a hard time keeping up with Macbeth, his Reflector Magic made the human practically impossible for the demon to hit, the only chance left was to go with hand-to-hand combat. While Erik was getting rid of the demonic guards without too much trouble, punching and kicking left and right he was decimating his enemies.

'Just how many grunts these morons can summon?! Damn it!' Erik thought in annoyance. The Dragon Slayer blocked two of the demon guards' spiked clubs. He then released a powerful soundwave that turned into various invisible blasts, strong enough to launch the demons around him to be sent fly away. However, more henchmen kept coming much to his bother.

"I'm getting sick of this." Erik winced. "Time to wrap this shit up." He then jumped backward increasing the distance between him and the Tartaros guards, while starting gathering poison in his mouth. "Poison Dragon Roar!" He quickly shouted his exclusive draconic roar as a huge stream of poison was fired from his mouth. The soldiers of Tartaros were soon engulfed in, it didn't take long for them to be blown away paralyzed and poisoned by the Dragon Slayer's move.

"Poison Dragon Scales!" With a swing of his arms, the Dragon Slayer generated and tossed a great number of scale-shaped blades of poison towards the last guards standing.

'Something's bothering me though, I can hear their thoughts just fine, but their soul… it's like, they have no one at all. That makes no sense…' Erik pondered.

As for Macbeth, he evaded another strike from Mard, ducking below he unleashed a double kick on the demon's abdomen.

"Dark Rondo!" A huge beam of a dark-greenish colour was shot right in Mard Geer's stomach causing him to be overwhelmed by it as he was sent crashing violently on a wall breaking through it ending up inside the evacuated apartment.

"NO!" Mard Geer roared as he smashed the remaining wall of the house. 'How can this be?! How can this human harm me this much?! Even if I can't access at my full etherious form momentarily, I should be able to squash him easily, so how?!' "You'll pay for this, Midnight!" He exclaimed starting to lose his composure as he unleashed more of his demonic aura. "If I can't crush you at the moment, I can still destroy this pathetic place!" He shouted as he spread his huge bat-like wings which was a result of his partial Etherious Form transformation and flew away in Deliora's direction.

Macbeth quickly turned his head to his fellow Dragon Slayer. "Erik! He's flying in Jellal and Deliora's direction! We need to move!"

"Got it!" Erik replied as he dropped the last soldier on the ground.

Jellal was now panting tiredly as he was on one of his knees, his injuries weren't life-threatening, but he wasn't exactly in good condition either, his stamina severely dropped due to the fatigue of maintaining his Meteor spell for long time. In the meantime, Mard Geer reunited with Jiemma and Deliora.

The blue-haired mage tried to catch his breath. "This isn't good… I don't know for how much longer I can keep up…" He suddenly felt someone wrapping their arm around his torso, helping him standing up, it was Erik, and next to him was Macbeth.

"You ok?" Erik asked with a friendly smirk.

"Yeah… M-more or less, I'm still breathing at least…" Jellal answered tiredly with a small smile.

"So, it would seem our enemy is willing to use cheap tricks and gang up on you, yes?" Macbeth added.

"Enough of this! I'm tired of dealing with you vermin!" Jiemma shouted in anger. "Mard Geer, you know what to do. If we cannot kill them in the old-fashioned way, then I believe it's time to opt for plan 2."

Mard Geer smirked malevolently in response. "With pleasure." He then ascended some meters below. "Brace yourselves, filthy humans…" The demon prepared while extending his arm to the front. A dark paralytic mist was forming around the trio while approaching them.

"Macbeth…" Jellal called his companion.

"Guess you'll have to use that again…" Erik added.

Macbeth silently nodded at them in understanding, closing his eyes, he started to charge his own dark aura, concentrating and channelling it into his fingers. During his monologue, Mard Geer failed to realize an important detail, using his Reflector Magic, the dark fog never caught the nightmare mage, it was as if it were passing through him.

"Behold! This is the ultimate curse... A darkness with the power to completely erase the very being existence, to swallow all the world's light itself. Your time has come…" Mard Geer said as he was starting to complete the curse, completely ignoring the humans. "Now perish by my hand! Memento Mori!" A massive beam of dark spirits was shot by the demon from above.

"Macbeth NOW!" Jellal and Erik cried in unison.

Macbeth wasted no time and immediately proceeded. He rapidly shot his eyes open and swung his arms against one another shotting them up to the sky. "Genesis Zero!" Green darkness energy was unleashed from his arms. "Open, Gate of Wraithwail!" Macbeth roared out loud, the tremendously powerful spell was cast as the dark green stream was blasted upward. Several black and dark-purple phantoms emerged from the beam, advancing at the Memento Mori's spirits. "Go, travellers of the void! Consume his attack into nothingness, devour its very existence for the sake of everyone!" Macbeth shouted at the top of his voice.

Macbeth's spell and Mard Geer's curse virulently collided releasing a series of shockwaves in the process. The sky darkened, as lightnings bolts started to be struck on the battlefield. The violence of the clash was so high that it caused the ground to shake.

Near the city, the rest of Crime Sorcière's wizards had just finished defeating the last of Tartaros' guards. The immense magical presence released had also reached their senses. What seemed like an earth turmoil now it was slowly turning into a proper earthquake.

"No! Jellal! Erik! Macbeth!" Meredy screamed in worry. She glanced over his guildmates. "Guys, we have to get back and help them!"

Gaining their collective nods they didn't waste time and run back to the city.

Now back to the principal downtown…

"No! Impossible!" Mard Geer shouted in astonishment. "My curse! It's being… devoured by his spell! How?!" Despite the enormous might of Mard's curse, it was unable to totally overcome Macbeth's Genesis Zero, instead, it looked like their powers were eliminating with each other.

Shortly after, the two attacks' pressure funnelled as they were starting to fuse in one, creating a green purple sphere of energy. Suddenly it shrunk, seemingly disappearing… a few seconds later there was a huge explosion of pure ethernano energy erupted while a huge cloud of dust totally covered the battlefield, as it died down, the dark magic and the curse were replaced by a massive sucking void that resembled both users' techniques merged together. The mages of Crime Sorcière and the demons of Tartaros had barely the time to register the abnormal force, as it started to drag them to the circular void. The Tartaros combatant didn't have a chance to react or cling to something, the centrifugal force of that hole was so powerful that even Deliora was subjected to it. The first to be sucked in were Mard Geer, his guards and Jiemma since they were the closest, with the exception of Deliora. Mard Geer shouted furiously at the wizards.

"No! No! No! You've ruined everything, again!" Mard yelled; his smirk long gone, replaced by clear anger. "Grr… Mark my words, humans… the day we'll meet again shall be your last! I will make sure to tear you limb from limb…" The Underworld King snarled while disappearing in the portal.

Jiemma only narrowed his eyes at the mages while letting out a growl of vengeance. Soon his faith was the same as Mard Geer's.

"Shit! We're not gonna last much longer!..." Erik shouted while he was clinging to a nearby fence.

"Hang on tight!" Jellal screamed as he tried to use Meteor to escape it as well.

"Curse you, Mard Geer…" Macbeth voiced while gritting his teeth in frustration while grabbing to a nearby bench.

Despite their efforts to get away, the weariness from their previous battles took its toll, their wounds and not too high stamina only made matters worse. Consequently, it didn't take long before the three wizards lost their grip and were sucked along with Deliora into the portal. Soon the portal-like void ceased to swirl, disappearing from sight. Every person/demon in the vicinity of it was gone from sight. Jellal, Macbeth, Erik, Deliora, Mard Geer, Jiemma and the remaining Tartaros' soldiers were now trapped inside god knows what.

And done! This was the first chapter. Hope you like this and thank you for reading this!

As you may noticed, I made them even stronger. The reason is simple, I've always felt like Mashima nerfed both Midnight and Cobra's character, initially they were portrayed as REALLY powerful mages, with Midnight being even stronger than the likes of Brain. As well as Cobra, I always found his defeats kind of pathetic, come to think of it, he mainly lost due to outside forces, with Natsu "winning" just because of Brain's meddling, same could be said when he faced Erza, he got distracted by Kinana's voice and was eventually "defeated". And Jellal? Well, his whole determination to gather the Oracion Seis with the intention to kill Zeref was actually a really cool concept... yeah, keyword "was", since he apparently forgot his own mission and let Fairy Tail deal with him, as always if I might add. So yeah, I think these characters deserve screentime.

Also, I would really like if you comment your opinions, advice, or point out grammar mistakes, misspelling, missing words and punctuation I probably wrote. So I can eventually fix them.

Again, thanks for reading and see you next time!
