I decided to make a crossover fanfic between Kingdom Hearts and Total Drama.

What's the connection between the two shows, you ask? Well, they both began on an island, didn't they? Additionally, Camp Wawanakwa ended up sinking during Total Drama All-Stars, which is similar to what happened to Destiny Islands in Kingdom Hearts. There wasn't any Heartless involved with the sinking of Camp Wawanakwa though, I can say that much.

That, and Chris went on a world tour. Kingdom Hearts is essentially a world tour, isn't it? Though the worlds do vary depending on the game.

I figured I would be creative and go for a character from Revenge of the Island. I could go with Dawn but she was the protagonist of my Total Drama Insanity fanfic. One could say that's a bit of a spoiler. I'm not saying outright who the winner is though.

I decided to go with Zoey because of her innocence. And she's also really tough. I'm not going with Cody because that would be unoriginal. Though I might feature him at some point in this fanfic.

Any worlds you would suggest for this fanfic? There are a lot of different possibilities.

She'll be starting at Camp Wawanakwa of course. The island didn't sink in this one.

Oh, and Zoey's winner in this fanfic. Any other winners you would suggest?

Chapter 1: Don't Be So Heartless

Zoey had been having a lot of strange dreams lately.

They involved her wielding a blade...that resembled a key.

It was red in color, which she liked. It did match the color of her hair, after all.

She wondered if she could put it in a lock somewhere. If it could open up treasure chests, that would be awesome. Though considering she had already won a million dollars from Total Drama, she wasn't exactly in need of cash.

They also involved shadowy creatures as well. She wasn't sure what they were, but they blended in with the shadows themselves at times.

They were cute, but they were prone to scratching. It stung a bit, though it didn't really hurt her.

Luckily, she could use that keyblade of hers to defend herself.

In her case, it was colored red...which was nice considering it was her favorite color.

In her first dream, she had to choose between a staff, a shield, or a sword. Apparently, they would help her fend off the mysterious creatures.

Coincidentally, all three of them started with the same letter.

Anyways, she had picked the shield, and had decided to sacrifice the staff in exchange. Though she wondered what it would be like to use magic. She had read the Harry Potter series.

She wasn't sure what was up with those dreams.

Perhaps she should ask somebody about that.

But who should she ask?

Suddenly, she had an idea.

Maybe she should ask Dawn.

The blonde girl seemed to know a lot of things, like the fact that she was an only child and that she had felt lonely prior to coming to Total Drama.

And she was able to predict the future with those tea leaves of hers, though she hadn't been able to predict what happened during the Revenge of the Island finale.

So she decided that she would talk to the moonchild.

As it turned out, Chris decided to host a new season of Total Drama, featuring the Revenge of the Island contestants (Zoey herself included), plus some original contestants so that there would be 22 campers as before.

Aside from the Revenge of the Island contestants, there was also Owen, Courtney, Gwen, Sierra, Alejandro, Heather, Izzy, Lindsay, and Duncan.

As before, she and Cameron were on the same team.

However, Dawn was on her team as well this time. It was an interesting turn of events.

However, Cameron's mother was wary of him competing on the show again after he was so injured, he ended up being wrapped up like a mummy.

To be fair, he had recovered rather fast. Being a cartoon character had its perks.

People had disliked the season that unfortunate event had happened. Probably because Owen trapped most of the contestants in fart-filled balloons during the finale.

It was a miracle none of them had suffocated. Though it probably helped that they were cartoon characters.

"Dawn, can I talk to you about something?" asked Zoey.

They were on the Happy Butterflies, while their opponents were the Gloomy Moths. Their icon was yellow, while theirs were blue.

The Happy Butterflies were Zoey, Mike, Dawn, Cameron, Owen, Sierra, Izzy, Lindsay, Lightning, Brick, and B.

The Gloomy Moths were Duncan, Scott, Courtney, Heather, Alejandro, Gwen, Jo, Anne Maria, Sam, Staci, and Dakota.

"Sure, why not?" answered the moonchild. It was always nice to have a chat with a fellow camper...unless their name happened to be Scott. To be fair, he seemed to have changed for the better after being mauled by a shark. He and Courtney were considering going on a date.

Nevertheless, Dawn was happy that she wasn't on the same team as Scott again. She wouldn't have to worry about her team being sabotaged.

"I've been having a lot of strange dreams lately. Is there some sort of meaning to them?" questioned the redhead.

"You mean the dreams about the keyblade and the Shadows?" asked the girl who creeped out the other contestants.

"As usual you know all sorts of things about me." noted Zoey.

"I believe it's a sign of events to come." explained Dawn.

"A sign of events to come? That doesn't sound good." remarked the redhead. Were her friends going to be attacked by those shadowy creatures? She was starting to feel worried about them.

"I think you should be able to defend yourself when the time comes, however." assured the moonchild.

Zoey sighed in relief. She wasn't looking forward to being used as a scratching post by shadowy monsters.

"It's time for your first challenge! Head to the caverns!" exclaimed Chris.

Sure enough, the challenge was to go inside the caverns.

Inside the caverns was a treasure chest.

The first team to collect the treasure would win. And of course, the losers would be sending someone to the Playas Des Losers.

Luckily, there was no mutations to worry about this time, as there was no nuclear waste.

However, it was possible that they would encounter Ezekiel inside, which was a scary thought.

He had never left that cavern.

Would he ever be the same again?

They could only hope so.

There was also the possibility that they would encounter bears. They always seemed to have it out for the contestants. During Pahkitew, there was even a robot bear.

Would one of them end up being medivacked? It had happened on the show before.

They hoped not. Being medivacked meant that they wouldn't win the million dollars.

Zoey ended up being separated from her teammates.

"Where is everyone?" asked Zoey.

Perhaps she should have kept a closer eye on them.

Well, maybe it would be best if she looked for them. She was starting to feel scared.

"Hello? Mike? Cameron? Brick?" called the redhead.

Suddenly, Shadows appeared.

Zoey gasped.

This was similar to her dream.

The only thing is...she didn't have a keyblade.

How was she going to defend herself without one?

Perhaps it would be best if she retreated. She was rather fast, after all.

So she decided to do so.

Unfortunately, a cave-in prevented her from leaving the cave.

Things were not looking good for her.

"Am I a goner?" asked Zoey. She felt like she had so much left to live for. Though she had already won one million dollars on this show. That had been one of the happiest days of her life...along with hooking up with Mike.

Fortunately, she was not done for. At that very moment, the keyblade appeared in her hand.

"This timing could not have been better." remarked the redhead.

Perhaps she would survive.

Luckily, the Shadows happened to be weak.

It made her wonder why they were attacking her in the first place. They went down in only a few hits from her keyblade. It seemed that they were biting off more than they could chew...kind of like Owen did sometimes.

However, they appeared to be numerous.

But nevertheless, she managed to defeat the Shadows.

For some strange reason, they dropped green orbs whenever they were defeated. She could use them to heal herself.

She wasn't sure why that was...but she wouldn't question a gift horse in the mouth. She didn't question Chris giving her one million dollars for winning Total Drama, that was for sure.

They also dropped munny...which was ironic considering she already won big prize money. But maybe she could spend it on something later.

Seeing as the Shadows were gone, Zoey sighed in relief.

It looked like she was safe for the time being. Though Chris was bound to come up with more dangerous challenges sooner or later.

However, the indie chick then realized something.

"Wait...what if there are more of these creatures around? The other campers could be in danger...well, more danger than they are already. I have to warn them!" exclaimed Zoey.

Winning the challenge to her didn't matter anymore.

She had to keep her friends safe.

Luckily, she was able to break the rocks with her keyblade.

It seemed it was rather strong.

Though it would be best if she practiced with it, just in case. There was the possibility she would encounter those shadowy creatures again.

Fortunately, her teammates managed to find her.

"There you are! We were worried about you!" exclaimed Brick.

They had been worried when they heard the cave-in. What if Zoey had suffocated?

It certainly would be a tragedy.

Though to be honest, it was a miracle nobody had died on this show other than the interns. It seemed that there was danger lurking behind every tree. Should they really be competing on a show like this? There was a million dollars at stake, but still.

Zoey sighed in relief.

Perhaps she should tell Dawn about what had happened.

She might be able to warn her of more dangers in the future.

Oddly, her Keyblade had disappeared.

Perhaps it only appeared during emergencies.

Luckily, her team managed to find the treasure chest.

So it looked like none of their own were going to the campfire tonight.

"Inside the treasure chest is...chocolate chip cookies!" exclaimed Chris.

The winning campers happily munched on the chocolate chip cookies.

It was nice having a tasty treat...especially when you had to put up with Chef's cooking.

"It's nice to win a challenge for a change." remarked Dawn.

However, she wasn't sure whether they had won because Scott had sabotaged his team or not.

The Gloomy Moths lived up to their name, seeing as they had lost the first challenge and all.

They knew how the Killer Bass had felt during the first challenge on the show.

The first contestant to be eliminated was...Duncan.

"Since you blew up my cottage, I decided to pay you back by making sure you were the first one eliminated!" exclaimed Chris.

Duncan wasn't going to win a million dollars if he had anything to say about it.

It seemed that Chris wasn't the kind of person to let grudges go.

"I don't think it was a cottage." spoke Gwen. According to Courtney, it was more like a mansion.

To be fair, she didn't remember everything that happened on All-Stars. How did Duncan get out of prison again?

"No million dollars for you!" shouted Chris.

Duncan sighed.

"Fine..." answered the teen with the mohawk.

He boarded the Boat of Losers which sped off into the night.

Inside her cabin, Zoey wondered why the Shadows had attacked her.

She decided to talk to Dawn about it.

"I got attacked by the Shadows from my dreams..." told Zoey.

"It was foretold." noted Dawn.

"But I got rid of them." explained the redhead.

"Yes. For now, at least." answered the moonchild.

"Wait, they're going to come back?" asked Zoey.

"Not tonight. But there will be some of them tomorrow." answered Dawn.

"Thanks for telling me." thanked the indie chick.

The next day...

Chef prepared to make a meal for the campers. They would consume it once they had all woken up from their slumber.

They wouldn't enjoy his cooking (apart from Brick and Owen), but he would make it nevertheless.

However, he was attacked by a Shadow.

It seemed that the Heartless had decided to call Camp Wawanakwa home.

The bald man gasped.

Quickly, he hit it with his meat cleaver.

It released a heart.

Chef sighed in relief.

However, he asked himself a question.

What was that creature that attacked him?

Suddenly, more of the Heartless appeared.

The Shadows began to swarm him.

Unfortunately, there were more than he could handle.

After all, he didn't have the Keyblade like Zoey did.

He screamed...and then lost his heart to the darkness.

Oh dear, it looks like something terrible has happened to Chef.

No worries, what happened to him can be reversed.

But first, there's going to be a boss fight.

They are a big part of Kingdom Hearts, after all.

Maybe if Zoey wins she can learn some magic.

Having versatility in her arsenal would make things easier.

And it would be helpful if she could attack from a distance.

And yes, Duncan's actions are still haunting him. Even if he's no longer in prison.

See ya!
