For the past several weeks, Félix has been paying attention to a certain uncoordinated blue haired designer more than he cared to admit. It wasn't like he had the option to ignore her either! He was already vigilant because of his distrustful "father", but ever since becoming Chat Noir, it has doubled his awareness of EVERYTHING just to make sure he can run off to transform or be notified of an Akuma. Then with her either tripping over air near him, nearly running into a wall while her head was in the clouds, or just straight up running into him...it just adds to it and he instinctively helps her without fail. Of course, he rants to her about being more careful or aware of her surroundings but she always just rolls her eyes and politely thanks him before going on her merry way. He has considered just letting her clumsy self finally eat it just to see if she will ATTEMPT to be cautious, but he honestly doesn't desire that to happen to her. He does care for her a great deal unlike the majority of people who only see his angsty, sarcastic and standoffish self—they only see the persona he puts up for strangers that his father beat into him so he wouldn't humiliate him. Really only his younger brother gets to see more of his personality which depresses him more...Maybe if Marinette doesn't detest him and she could see that side of him as well...? She is nice to him despite his cold exterior or the fact that her friends tell her to stay away in hush voices...He would honestly love her as a friend or maybe...No..no,no, stop that'll never happen...Regardless of THAT, all he wants from her right now is to be more careful and to not injure herself more than she already does. Hell, she has been in the middle of several Akuma attacks, many times trying to get their attention! He has already lost count of the number of times he has rescued her before the attack landed and brought her to safety...It's like she attracts the damn things. Speaking of Marinette and Akumas, there she is, running from an one, who he couldn't remember the name of, shooting lasers at her and dodging them quite gracefully? Excuse me, where is this grace in her daily life?

Félix, as Chat Noir, watched as she danced around the laser for a few seconds, honestly astonished by her finesse until he patted his face to snap himself out of it. You are Chat Noir for Christ's sake, save her not gawk at her! He reached for his baton while jumping towards the Akuma and he noticed Marinette trip in his peripheral vision. Fantastic. A swift swing of his baton sends the Akuma flying into a building as he lands next to Marinette, "That should buy enough time to get you out of here." He quickly picks up Marinette and carries her bridal style as he leaps away, her labored breath giving him a sign that she might have been hit, "I saw you fall, did you get shot Marinette?"

She speaks through gritted teeth, "I can feel a bit of a bruise forming and he did shoot my ankle after I fell. I'm not going to lie to you Kitty, it hurts a hell of a lot."

His ear twitches a bit from irritation as he swears under his breath, "I'll inspect it when we land, ok?" She gave a curt nod in response as he landed on a roof with some chairs and tables on it. He set her down gently in a chair as he bent down to assess her injury. His eyes widened, expression aghast from how severe the injury was-some of her flesh was gone and she was bleeding severely. He had to wrap her ankle immediately!

The bluenette faintly chuckled as she gave a tight smile, "It can't be that bad Kitty..." Her voice sounded so coarse and her eyes appeared to be glazed over from the pain. A low growl surfaced from the black cat, which seemed to frighten the girl, as he frantically searched the surrounding area for anything to use. He noticed a white table cloth next to them and pulled it off the table, knocking all the items off with it, then proceeded to set her ankle on another chair to elevate it. He lifted her foot and tightly wrapped her ankle with the tablecloth–it quickly began to turn red as the blood seeped into it. He grimaced from the sight–blood always brought back uncomfortable memories. A quick glance at Marinette, her face was writhing in pain. His ears drooped as he softly asked, "I'm sorry if I was rough but I do have some pain medications in my civilian form...Do you need them?"

She shook her head roughly as she crossed her arms, "I will be fine. You have an Akuma to fight! Go!"

Chat sighed heavily, typical Marinette, she will suffer in silence if it means helping...She is too damn nice, just like his brother. He can't let her continue to be in pain even if it is only for a few more minutes, "Give me a second Mari." He checked to see if the door to the stairs was unlocked, nope, it was locked of course. He could break or lockpick it but he would rather not have to resort to that. There were also no windows so he couldn't monitor Marinette if he went in anyway. He took an umbrella from another table and walked over to the wall, placing the umbrella on its side opposite of the wall then backed up against the wall as much as he could. He wanted to have a bit more coverage so he bent the metal pole a little over halfway–much better. He can still see around him to a degree, just in case the Akuma comes by here, and it will be a faster reaction time if danger does find them. Once he was satisfied, he dropped the transformation in a flash of green as he heard a gasp from Marinette.

"Is everything ok!?" he queried as he gave Plagg some cheese and started to search his pockets for his migraine medicine.

"Y-yeah! S-sorry, I just wasn't expecting the light show is a-all!" the bluenette stammered out.

Félix chuckles at her answer as he pours out a pill into his hand while awkwardly holding the umbrella. He is so used to the light that he forgot that it may frighten a civilian if they weren't anticipating it.

"I have a question for you Kitty."

Félix glances at Plagg who is snickering at the nickname, "What is it Mari?"

"Why didn't you go into the building? It would be safer and easier to keep your identity a secret than what you are doing now."

He hums as he pets Plagg who mewls to his touch, "There are no windows so I wouldn't be able to keep an eye on you or I may not be able to react fast enough in case you needed me."

"Even if that means knowing your identity Kitty?"

Blue-gray eyes stared at his kwami as he finished eating, "Yes, a superhero is meant to save people before anything else. If that possibility were to arise, then so be it."

"You are a good Kitty despite the fact you are a bit of a grump."

With a slight blush and an audible scoff, Félix told Plagg to transform in a hushed voice. A flash of green beamed from the umbrella once more. He dropped the umbrella to the side and approached Marinette who was giving him a pleasant but pained smile.

A tender smile formed on his lips, "This is my migraine medicine. I beseech you to take this Mari. You will be healed in a few minutes but I would rather not have you suffering before then. I will be back to get you after the battle so stay put, ok?"

She nodded as she swallowed the pill he gave her. Once he saw her take the medicine, he vaulted off the building to fight the Akuma.

When he was out of sight, Marinette opened her purse to see Tikki looking right back at her, "Are you able to do this Marinette?"

"I have to be able to. I am the only one able to purify the butterfly."

"I know Marinette but don't push yourself too much!"

She giggled," I will try but no promises. Tikki, spots on!"

Dear god, what a pain in the ass this Akuma was today and he still couldn't be bothered to remember his name! The guy was pissed because he kept losing at Laser tag!? I mean, I understand being disappointed or annoyed with losing but to the point of having such an extreme emotion that Hawk Moth notices you? Either his rage must have reached the heavens or Hawk Moth honestly had nothing else available, going to go with the latter.

A groan slips past Félix as he rubs his face in frustration, opening his fingers to see Plagg eating cheese and giving him a curious look in the process. He had to use Cataclysm on the guy's laser gun to release the butterfly so he decided to release his transformation before going to pick up Marinette on the roof. He wants to check up on her as soon as he can and having to delay that made him antsy.

Plagg meowed, "I'm done Kid. You can go check on your girlfriend."

Félix snarled, "She is not my girlfriend!"

The kwami gave a cheeky grin, "Could have fooled me Kid! Especially with that reaction! "

Félix scoffs as he grumbles, "Plagg, claws out."

A green light engulfs the area and Chat Noir heads towards the building where he left Marinette except she wasn't there? Panic begins to set in, "Marinette!? Where are you? It is me, Chat Noir!" He heard a door open from behind and he pivoted around to see Marinette staring at him. She waved shyly at him as she approached him, "Hello kitty! Were you worried?"

Chat Noir furrowed his brows as his eyes kept flickering to Marinette and the door. That door was locked when he tried to open it so how did she get in there?

"That was locked," Chat stated in a dry tone. He observed as her eyes showed a flash of anxiety before returning to normal. Interesting.

Marinette pouted, "Aren't you more concerned with how my ankle is than that tid bit though Kitty?"

Trying to deviate from the topic, I see. "Oh I am, however, it does seem to have vastly improved since you walked all the way over to the staircase and somehow opened that door."

She glowered at him then let out a sigh, "I busted it open! I still didn't feel safe and I was nervous."

Seems like that's some of the truth but she isn't giving me the full story. I will have to keep a keen eye on you Mari. His eyebrows raised as he gave her a questioning look, "Very well, Mari. I will not press the issue any further but let it be known that I can tell you aren't telling me everything." He bent down to examine the previously damaged ankle. It was fully healed by the ladybugs thankfully, he smiled, touching the spot where she was missing a piece. "I am glad you are alive and well Mari." His tone was sincere, he tilted his head up to her. She appeared to be flustered by him which made him chuckle, "What's the matter? Cat got your tongue Mari?"

Her face twisted into irritation at his word play but her cheeks remained dusted in pink, "I just wasn't expecting you to do that!"

"Do what? Look at your ankle? How could I not when it was in that...state"

Marinette shuddered at the thought and wrapped her arms around herself. Chat pulled her into a hug as he mumbled an apology into her ear. Her head snapped up and she stared at Chat for a little bit. She can see he is blushing and his eyes carrying an emotion she cannot tell what it is. She sunk into his chest after a while and listened to his heartbeat. It was beating very fast just like her's. Is them being this close making him like this as well? Her face was getting warmer, she wanted to stay like this for a long time but knew that wasn't possible. Why did she have to crush on two different people at this point in her life!?

Chat rubbed her back in soothing motions as he whispered into her ear, "Are you ready to go home Mari?"

She gave him an affectionate gaze, "I am Kitty. Will you take me home?"

With a broad smile, Chat carried her bridal style once again, "Why of course Mari. Shall we get going?" Marinette let out a giggle as Chat headed towards her house from the rooftops-his heart still beating a mile a minute.
