Alright welcome to the new story, and like the title says this story Ash will specialize in electric types. Now I've seen stories where Ash would specialize in different types so I decided to right some as well. I choose to start with electric types because Pikachu. Now for these stories Ash won't always be traveling with Brock or Misty, or even his other companions he's had. Now since Kanto has 6 electric types, and one is Zapdos I'm going to switch is out with a foreign Pokémon. But if enough request is made, Ash can catch Zapdos before leaving Kanto. As for pairing we can either do single pairings or harem depending on the request. Also, feel to suggest the foreign electric type for Ash.
Alright, if you have any questions feel free to leave them in the review or pm me and I'll do my best to answer them. Okay Let's see how this story starts off.
It was a bright day in Pallet, as the Pidgey pecked at the ground looking for food. Several Caterpie and Weedle could be seen climbing along the tree trucks. As the Rattata scurried around looking for food. As the Pokémon in the forest went about their business, a young boy with messy black hair, and brown eyes could be seen looking something to do. His name was Ash and he would often come into the forest looking for Pokémon to either watch or play with. As he looked around the forest for something to do, he heard a rustling in a bush behind him. Turning around he saw a small yellow rodent, with pink cheeks, a black collar, ear-tips and tail.
"A Pichu?" Ash said, he a seen several since he would often visit the professor 's ranch. Ash grew concerned as he watched Pichu fall on to the ground with a purple huh on its face.
Going up to the Pichu he placed a hand on its head, feeling it burning up. Knowing the young Pokémon was sick he gently picked up the Pichu before running towards his home up ahead. The run took several as he burst through his door alerting his mother.
"Ash was going on?" She questioned.
Took several moments for him to answers her, sigh he was catching his breath. But by then she noticed the Pokémon he placed on the couch.
"A Pichu?" She questioned.
"Mom, I found this Pichu in the forest, I think its sick." Ash said, finally able to speak.
Delia grew concern, as she looked at the little Pokémon withered around in discomfort. Placing a hand on Pichu's forehead, her eyes widen as she released her son was right.
"I'll contact Prof. Oak." She said, as she went to the phone.
As she left, Ash just started at the Pokémon in concern, he wanted to help, but didn't know how to. He remembered when he was sick, his mom would make sure there was a blanket on him. Grabbing a spare one he placed it on Pichu covering it below the head. Just as he did the this, Delia returned. She couldn't help but smile as she watched her son trying to help the young Pokémon.
"Ash, Prof. Oak said he'll be here soon. Until, then he said to try and help keep Pichu comfortable, as possible." She informed her son.
"Tell me how I can help." Ash said softly not wanting to disturb Pichu.
Delia led to the kitchen where the damped a towel and placed it on Pichu's head. Pichu seemed to relax a bit, as he had stopped withering. A little bit later Prof. Oak arrived.
"Prof. Oak, Pichu is over here." Ash said, grabbing the old man's hand guiding him to the patent.
Looking over Pichu, Oak instantly knew what was wrong.
"I see it seem this Pichu is suffering from poison." Oak stated as began looking through his medicines.
"Will Pichu be all right?" Ash asked concerned.
Looking back at the boy, Prof. Oak just smiled, as he informed, "Once I treat him, he'll be just fine. Pichu will be up and running around in no time."
"Can I help?" Ash asked.
Prof. Oak smiled, he knew Ash just loved Pokémon and nodded seeing as a good way to help teach the boy something he would need for his journey. He guided Ash how to treat a Pokémon when they were poisoned, and showed Ash how to help replenish their strength. The made a mashed bowl of Oran berries, and Pecha berries in order to get rid of any remaining poison. As they approach Pichu, he opened his eyes and gave them a confused look.
"It's okay, your safe Pichu." Ash said, in low voice trying not to scare Pichu.
Despite this Pichu seemed nervous but one sniff and he recognized the scent coming from the bowl, being that of berries he was use to eating. Eventually Pichu allowed Ash to feed him some of the mashed berries.
"Is it good Pichu?" Ash asked.
"Pichu Pichu." Pichu nodded, as he suddenly felt sleepy again.
"Get some rest Pichu, I promise to look after you." Ash said.
It didn't take long for the Tiny Mouse to fall asleep. Once Pichu was asleep, Ash replaced the damp towel on his head with a new one. With Pichu asleep everyone went into the kitchen where Delia prepared for lunch.
"So Pichu will be fine right?" Ash asked the professor wanting to make sure Pichu would be fine.
"Of course, one he has a good rest, I'm positive Pichu will be in tip top shape. But it is strange." Prof. Oak informed, before beginning to ponder.
"What is it?" Delia asked, not taking her eyes off of the stove.
"Well, Ash you said, you found Pichu along in the forest, correct?" The professor asked, receiving a nod. "Well, Pichu are not for living alone, the often live in groups with other Pichu, Pikachu, even the occasional Raichu. Especially for a Pichu this young, I'm wondering if something has caused Pichu to be separate by his family." The professor pondered.
Ash couldn't fathom what Pichu had been through, he wouldn't even know what to do if he had separated from his mother like Pichu may have.
"Maybe we can look through the forest, once Pichu is all better. Who knows maybe he's all better." Ash suggested.
"Good idea, we'll look through the forest tomorrow." Prof. Oak stated, as Delia placed a plate in front of the two.
"Okay, but until then I suggest we enjoy some lunch." Delia said.
The trio ate their lunch before checking on Pichu again. Pichu was still asleep sick, place a hand on Pichu forehead, Prof. Oak was relieved as Pichu's fever died down. He then left two with some instructions on what to do if Pichu wakes up. He then promised to be back tomorrow to see if they could find Pichu's family.
The rest of the day was quiet, as Pichu stayed asleep. Ash just on the other couch watching Pichu. Too Delia, the peach and quiet was something she hadn't had since before Ash was born. While I didn't surprise her how her son seems to care about the little Pichu, she was surprised he managed to be this quiet. But that was something he inherited from his father was a love of Pokémon, always looking to form friendships with them.
Eventually Pichu woke up, while he was still weak, he was strong enough to be able to move around a bit. Ash was able to feed him a few more mashed up Oran berries. Pichu even seem to trust Ash enough to climb up onto his arm, even nuzzle his cheek. He did the same to Delia who giggled at Pichu's playfulness. Pichu eventually grew tired again, as Ash laid him back down to go to sleep. Ash smiled, he watched Pichu sleep for a few more hours, before his mom told to sleep. He practically begged his mom to let in sleep down here with Pichu for the night.
Delia was a bit hesitant, but she gave in once she saw to cute look on his face. So, after a quick bath, and brushing of the teeth she placed some blankets and a pillow for him on the other couch. Ash took one last look at Pichu before falling asleep himself.
(Morning)
When morning came Delia went down stairs to check on their guest and make herself a pot of coffee. Once at the bottom of the stairs, she was surprised to find her son, and Pichu gone. Then something caught her attention.
"Yah do it again." He son's voice could be heard outside.
In the yard her son was watching Pichu with an excited expression as the little mouse fired a spark of electricity. The attack hit a couple of rocks but didn't do much, likely since Pichu was still young.
"Ash." Delia said, catching her attention. Typically, her son was a late sleeper, but seeing her son up was surprising from her.
"Oh, hi mom." He said, as Pichu climbed up Ash's back onto his shoulder.
"What are doing?" She asked, though had a feeling.
"Oh well this morning I found Pichu on top of me. I thought he wanted some fresh air, so I let him outside. We played together, and now he was showing me some of his moves." Ash answered.
"Well why don't we have some breakfast." Delia said, with a smile.
Ash and Pichu followed her in, as she was making food, Pichu found the ketchup bottle, and seem to enjoy the taste, causing Delia and Ash to laugh. After eating some food, Prof. Oak showed up. He greeted the mother and son, before bending down to get a better look at Pichu.
"Well, it seems you're all better Pichu." Prof. Oak stated as he lightly scratched Pichu's ear, who seemed to enjoy it.
Once everyone was ready, the group headed out. After looking around searching for any signs of Pichu's family. However, no signs of any Pichu, Pikachu, or Raichu in the area could be found. This meant Pichu must have been on his own for quite some time. The group headed back, after a little more searching. Once they reached Delia's home, Prof. Oak offered to take Pichu with him. However, Ash asked if they could keep him instead.
This didn't surprised Delia; she knew Ash would ask that the moment he brought Pichu home yesterday. Ash was currently 8 add it would be nearly 2 years before he could start his journey. She had no problem as she also grew attached to the tiny mouse, but she decided to wait for Prof. Oak's words.
"Taking care of a Pichu is going to be a lot of work, are you sure you can handle it." Prof. Oak staring into Ash's eye looking for any doubt.
"Yah, you can show me how to care for him, just like you taught me how to treat him when he was sick." Ash replied with a determine look in his eyes.
"Well, if it's okay with your mother, and with Pichu I suppose it will be fine." Prof. Oak answered.
Ash smiled as he looked at mother with the best Growlithe eyes he could muster. Delia couldn't help but giggle seeing her son stare at her. She then said, as long took care of Pichu she would have no problems. Ash cheered as he looked at Pichu.
"What to do you say Pichu, do you want to stay with us, I promise to take good care of you." Ash said as he asked Pichu.
"Pichu." Pichu responded with curiosity.
"You'll never have to worry about food, plus if you stay here, you can keep having that ketchup you like so much.
Pichu's eyes widen at the thought of having his favorite snack.
"And when I'm old enough to start my journey, you'll be my partner. We'll travel the world see all kinds of things and battle all kinds of people, and Pokémon." Ash continued hoping Pichu would accept his request.
"Pichu." Pichu nodded.
Ash's eyes widen as he shouted out, "I got myself a Pichu." Much to the amusement of the adults. Feeling it was time to get back to his research, Prof. Oak bid goodbye for the day. Ash promised to visit tomorrow to start learning on caring for Pichu.
Once Oak left Ash spent the rest of the day, play with Pichu getting to know his best friend. The next day Ash kept his promise, and visited Prof. Oak while at the lab saw his former friend now rival Gary. Gary was shocked when he saw Pichu on Ash's shoulder, and asked where he got Pichu. Ash happily recalled the previous days causing Gary to become jealous since Ash had a Pokémon and he didn't. The rest of the day Ash spent learn everything he need to know.
Over the next to two years Ash and Pichu bond grew stronger, they would often visit the ranch to play with some of the Pokémon. When Ash turned nine, he joined Prof. Oak summer camp, where he helped a girl named Serena when she got loss. The two become inseparable for the rest of the camp. Pichu enjoyed being pampered by Serena, but then came the day they had to depart. Ash game Serena his handkerchief, and promised one day they would meet up.
As time went on, Ash seemed to grow more and more in the electric type, and several months before he would start his journey, he decided that he would specialize in Electric Pokémon. He spent the of his time researching the electric type, that way he be prepared. Then the night before he started his journey, he was up watching the previous Indigo League winner battle Bruno. However, his mom interrupted him, telling his to go to sleep. Eventually Ash felt sleepy enough to go to sleep, but no before promising something to Pichu.
"Pichu, tomorrow is when we start out journey." Ash said, with a sleepy tone.
"Pichu." Pichu squeaked agreeing.
"You and I are going to find our team mates, and take on the league." Ash continued, receiving a determined nod from Pichu.
"You know..." Ash began, as he rolled over looking Pichu ion the eyes, "I glad we met when we did, I couldn't have asked for a better partner." Ash finished before finally dozing off.
Pichu looked at Ash a smile, before looking at the night sky. The past two years have been the best, living with Ketchum was grated, and now the person who cared for him, was going to be his trainer. He was glad to meet his befriend Ash, when he did. Winning the league was going to be tough, but he knew they could do it. Taking a like at the sky, Pichu knew it was time. With one last look, Pichu was covered in a bright light.
Alright, I hope you like this first chapter of the new series. Hopefully you'll enjoy the rest of the series as well. Ash won't be getting a lot of foreign Pokémon in Kanto, but he will get one or two at the least. Let me know which ones you will like to see.
