I do not own DxD, just this Fanfic. IF I do own DxD, I need balls of brass to face the people who will publish and animate my work.

One of the things Summer has come to hate and love was visiting her granduncle.
Opening the door to his room, she was greeted by a sight of an old man on a bed. Multiple advanced machines from Atlas were around which were used to sustain an aging old man's life, but they are all left unused, like how they were when they arrive a year ago.
Upon closing the door, sharpened instincts from the war enabled the old man to merely peak in her direction, before a smile was formed and those eyes closed again.
"No, my diaper is not yet sullied."
"One way to greet your niece."
"Well, let me have the moment will you."
Summer merely chuckled and approach the bed to observe him.
Wrinkled skin, skin, and bones, white hair. Nothing like the man he was before, during, and right after the war, but once he opens those eyes again to see her, she knows that no matter what, Jaune Arc will always be a loving and caring man.
"Where is Adrian?" he asked tiredly
"He is still waiting for the acceptance of his leave." Summer replied in an unsure tone.
"Can a board member walk as he pleases?"
"Well, according to him, today is supposed to have a very important meeting."
"He, well I respect that." Then he closed his eyes, "the man got responsibilities."
"But." Summer stammered, "…you pleaded with him to be here."
"Yes, but he is doing wonders for the world today." Jaune sighed, "I can't take him away from the world which needs him."
A comfortable silence occupied the room, until…
"I saw them." Jaune suddenly said.
"Sorry?"
"I saw my team." Jaune opened his eyes as they welled, "they are calling for me; Pyrrha, Nora, Ren."
Jaune heavily sighed, "I saw Weiss calling me."
A massive chill ran through Summer's spine as she thought of the meaning of this.
"No…" her eyes welled as she marched to the machines around and began to activate them.
"Summer, you don't need to d…"
"Why?" she coldly asked
"Because it is my time?"
"But…but… how about Adrian?"
Then Jaune looked at the ceiling, "I asked them to wait until I get to see Adrian and Mulan for the last time." Then he looked at her with eyes of solid determination. "I want to die peacefully, but I won't die today. I will give them a week to get here."
Summer ran and caressed Jaune's hand and began to sob.
Jaune lifted his other hand and patted her head like when he did when she was just a small girl.
"Uncle Jaune, please don't go." Her voice cracked
"I am very lucky to get to see you all grow and have your own family." Jaune smiled. "I am one lucky bastard to be the last to go, you know, especially since I was the tank of the team and the war was nothing you can ever imagine." Jaune chuckled as he remembered the worst battles he fought.
"Summer, please take care of them." Jaune begged, "I tried my very best to raise you all. So please protect our family."
Summer looked at Jaune with tears and determination, "I will, Dad." Her voice cracked at the last word as she continued to cradle his old hand.
The scene slowly fades away as a young blonde boy wakes up with a gasp.
His heart was pounding like an engine and sweat pouring on his body; his head ached as he felt a pair of hands shake his shoulders as multiple voices called out to him with little effect as his vision blurred and the world tilted.
"JAUNE!"
*SLAP!*
Pain raced on his cheek as he finally snapped out of his trance and saw his instructor grasping her hand and looking at him with curiosity.
He finally got to look at his surroundings and found that many of his classmates were looking at him with shock and awe.
"Could it be?" his instructor said
"Sister Griselda?"
"Jaune," she knelt in front of the boy, "how do you feel?"
"I think I am alright now."
Then the nun nodded, before throwing a sucker punch at the boy.
Instincts sharpen like never before triggered the boy to block the swing using his left arm, and upon impact, a pale-yellow glow flashed where they connected.
Jaune felt pain but remained unmoving from that considerable strong swing.
"Touki?" he saw his instructor look with confusion as the pale glow traveled across his body like a ripple of water starting from the area of impact.
Murmurs began as the nun just stared at his body with an analytical gaze before staring right at his eyes.
Jaune felt like this would be trouble.
-xXx-
Being taken care of by doctors is nothing new to him especially since he is an exorcist trainee, but how confused these professionals and masters of medicine were, it didn't give Jaune any comfort.
"Oh relax you big baby!" a blonde girl who strikingly looks like him yelled as she bounced on his bed before leaning on him, "it is probably a rare kind of Touki."
"A Touki that will give you dreams?"
"What dreams?"
Jaune stared at his sister for a moment and analyzed her face, within moments seven different faces flashed before his eyes who were also as blonde as him.
His voice hitched his eyes watering.
"Woah! I said don't be scared." The girl panicked as Jaune started to cry.
"Jeanne?" Jaune asked slowly, "do you think that we had seven sisters?"
Jeanne was confused by the statement, especially since Jaune never asked these kinds of questions, "you dreamt about having seven sisters?"
Jaune slowly nodded with much hesitation.
"Hmmm… I prefer not thinking about it, but you got me! And that counts!" Jeanne beamed before hugging her crybaby of a twin.
Being wrapped around such warmth gave Jaune a smile before fragments of memories from a life before and a faraway world slowly appeared.
"You promise?" Jaune asked.
"I promise."
"Then I promise to stay with you." Jaune pulled away from the hug and beamed brightly at her as tears leaked from his eyes. "It's an Arc's promise."
Jeanne was simply surprised by the determination she saw in his eyes as if some childish promise can be true, held in stone for an eternity, but from how sure Jaune said it, it is as if it is nothing more than routine for him. Not knowing that this is just his nature.
All Jeanne can do was embrace him once again, but this time tighter as she slowly cried.
As for Jaune, he held his twin while remembering the warmth of his family and friends from a lifetime ago; as memories roll on how Remnant was a world full of darkness where the small specs of light must fight it to the bitter end, and just realize on how much his new home, the Catholic Church, could possibly be another Ozma, only more blunt about our enemies.
God, gods, monsters, devils, fallen angels, vampires, zombies, ghosts, magic. Oh, the magic!
Real Magic with different origins and uses, not like Semblances where it is more personal and less concrete on how it works and its origins.
And of course, Sacred Gears.
"May the Father, Son, Holy Spirit, and the Brothers help us."
"You are pulling my leg, right?"
"No, not at all."
Author's notes
AHA! Another story, but this time a crossover!
Highschool DxD X RWBY, or maybe HSDXD?
So, this story has more planning than my previous stories and has way more inspiration than them except Miracles. I dare say that this story will have the same energy and time as Miracles in terms of developing as a story.
I will be blunt, the stories I make will be done with love and if I believe that the story will just be crap, why make it?
So, this story will have better structure, systems, and characters including a romance subplot.
Miracles are my first Fanfic and are basically my testing ground for many things. After hearing the comments and experiencing the process of making a story, I can say that this story may be better or at least in the same level as Miracles.
This story is made out of the severe lack of Fanfic on the church's side or DxD, and a severe lack of RWBY X Highschool DxD crossover.
Also, I will try my best to put some romance because Miracles lack the groundwork for one.
The magic system of this story will also be different from Miracles, so readers of my first story, I will have a different approach for this story.
Anyway, PLEASE comment, fav, and follow!
Take Care and God Bless!
