CHAPTER 1 : THE PRINCESS AND THE BOOZER
It all started one gloomy and cloudy day of early Spring. Riding by a bicycle, I got to a small forest, located in my neighborhoods. I enjoyed my time spent in such quite, peaceful and solitary places like that one. As a matter of fact, I still do. I've had few of my own types of outdoors activities: watching anime, reading books and comics, listening my favourite songs and Creepypastas, writing stories and - last but not least - drinking beer. I know, I know - booze and vehicles should never ever come together, you'd say. However, I didn't care. I was pretty much of a lairy and aggressive rowdy at that time. I've been doing nothing but idling about the streets all day long. Anyhow, let's get back to the substance of the matter. I was preparing myself to leave when suddenly... BANG! Something made a very loud noise during its crashlanding right behind me. I could feel the ground under my feet shaking. Somehow I managed to prevent myself from falling down and turned around. I stood there still with my eyes wide open.
- What the hell was that? - I said to myself. - A meteorite?
Curiousity got the better of me by giving me an irresistible urge to check that out. First I took my whale knife out of my backpack, just in case. I was slowly approaching the source of thick, dark smoke, with my heart beating rapidly. I could fell my alcohol intoxication leaving my body. As soon as I came really, really close, the smoke was gone, revealing me a medium-sized, white, oval object.
- What is this? An egg? - I asked.
A square-shaped slab has detached from the rest of this thing and moved away, exposing its interior to me. I tightened grasp on my knife, getting ready to fight. And then I saw something I didn't expect to see. A small, cute, pink creature with big, sparkling, blue eyes. She had a tiara on her head, long white boots and a nice, white and mint-green dress for an outfit. Right after noticing my presence, she jumped back, coming into contact with a wall behind her. She was shaking and cowering. That snapped me out of my state of enchantment. I understood instantly what she was so scared of.
- Oh! No, no, no,no! - I shouted, hiding a knife inside my pocket. - Don't worry! I'm not gonna hurt you. It's just... for self defense. You understand me, right?
- Y-yes. Yes, I do. - she replied with relief in her voice.
- Oh? So you can speak my language. Great.
- Well, it is nothing unusual since I have the newest, the most advanced translating device with me.
- I see. But... who are you? And what are you doing here?
- Oh, I apologize. I should first introduce myself. I'm Loo-nah, the princess of the planet Formika.
- Huh? Princess!?
- Yes. I was forced to escape from home when the Irken Armada has come to conquer my planet.
- Wha-What did you just say!?
At the first moment I thought I misheard her. Since I've been a big, big fan of '' Invader Zim'' for many years, I knew exactly what Irken Armada was. But I also knew it was all fiction, created by Jhonen Vasquez and the others. In the blink of an eye, princess Loo-nah started trembling and sheding tears.
- My... my mom told me to run away... but I didn't want to...I didn't want to leave her... I... I...
Little alien girl went out of her vehicle so she could coil her tiny arms around my right calf. She was crying so hard I felt like crying too. I had no other choice but to take her home. She was just an unwillingly fugitive child, all alone on this cold, cruel, dangerous planet. And I, for being the bigger and stronger one, felt obligated to protect that poor thing.
