(Here it is! My first full fledged Tekken fanfic since forever. This is technically the sequel to Gon After Tekken, even though my girl Kunimitsu II is the main focus here. Hope ya'll will enjoy.)

Chapter 1: A Peaceful New Adjustment
Previously…
"You keep being the badass ninja your Mother used to be and more. Ya hear me?" Gon said with pride showed a fist towards the camera as if to do a virtual fist bump and Kunimitsu II followed suit with a playful smile.
"Tee-hee! Will do." She replied with a tone that was just as cute and cheerful. "Anything else you wanna tell me before we part ways for a while?"
"Hmmm… anything else…" Gon paused in deep thought for a few moments, looking at Stephanie with permission. She nodded twice in agreement before they both turned back towards the young kunoichi on the computer screen. "Well, yeah. There is one more thing. I practically make friends with every human on this Earth since my revival. There's this small family of three that reside here in the United States: one of the many friendly suburbs of Maine to be exact. They're called the Johannsson's: Jawkin, Valtina, and Colby. That last name is the one and only son that they have that's also an aspiring ninja like you. He's a year older than you and is already living the good life as a freelance hero. Try to look him up and get a date with him sometime. I've already heard from his Dad that his son's already developed a bit of a crush on you." Hearing this made Kuni II's blueish grey eyes brighten up with astonishment as well as have her blush a bit on her cheeks. "Don't look so surprised now. That's truly the last thing I have to tell ya. So, how about it, eh?"
"…Gon! I'm speechless… well, except all I have to say is thanks for that information. I'll be sure to look him up sometime without my Father knowing."
"Awesome. Well, good luck to ya and good night."
Meanwhile, at a humble suburban home in Xolton, Maine…
"COLBY! Come on downstairs, honey! Breakfast is ready!"
(Yawn) Phew! That was my mother calling out to me in that beautiful female voice of a middle-aged woman and it'll never get old to me. Damn, I can already smell it from here... my dad's famous northern cookin' that could make any southern chef jealous. Moving back into my parent's house has been a tearful reunion since I was away at Portland University for four years prior. It only happened about two months ago, but still; it was fantastic. The name's Colby Donahoe Johannsson. I'm 21 years old, single, and probably the weirdest guy you'll ever meet. I say that because… well… you'll find out shortly.
Right now, I've gotta eat. I'm starving.
Moments later, at the breakfast table…
"I know I've said it before and I'll say it again, son." My humble father, Jawkin James Johannsson, started as I just took in my first forkful of his blueberry pancakes. "It's been a blessing having you home with us instead of turning us into empty nesters. We ain't in the way, are we?"
"Not at all. I love you both so much." I replied in a handsome male voice that would even make other men swoon. It's deep enough to narrate a steamy novel, but not enough to cause a fright in the dark. "I'm only hoping that I'm not in the way."
"Ohh, no, dear." Replied my selfless mother, Valtina Jennifer Johannsson. She kept her angelic smile as she was aimlessly enjoying her plate. "Trust us. If you were, we would've said so. Since it's been two months now since you came home, you know what we gotta ask you."
"And you don't need to waste your breath asking. Right after I settled into college on my freshman year, I got right to work digging deeper into the art of ninjutsu. I know I've been crazy about it since I was thirteen, but this time, after all four years and graduating with a degree in law enforcement, I'm finally a full-fledged ninja, despite my looks."
"Huh!" Jawkin exclaimed as he took a good look at me. "No kidding. You didn't touch your green eye color that you got from both of us, but you swapped your pupil and sclera colors. It looks… strange."
"Indeed!" Valtina agreed. "White pupils and black sclera with the green eyes… Is that what you spent that money we sent you on?"
"Not entirely." I admitted. "I used my own money on my haircut, but I also spent your money on something else I'll show you later on." Both of my parents are proud blondes and so am I. They both have long golden locks while I currently rocked a clean shaven mohawk-ponytail combo. It suited me perfectly and my parents understood that factor as they saw it. But, of course, since I mentioned that latter statement earlier, well…
"Aww, come on, Colby." My father playfully scolded, which made me chuckle a bit. "Don't hold back this final expense on us. Is it something we shouldn't approve, but you know we will anyway?"
"Yeah. Because it's a permanent motif."
"Huh?" Both of my parents said this with completely flabbergasted looks on their faces. That did it for me. I had no choice at this point. I unbuttoned my green and black long-sleeved pajama top and took it off without standing up from my seat and they both gasped at what they saw drawn on my right arm and that respective side on my chest. It was the most impressive tribal tattoo work done by any artist in history and attached to that artwork was a grey and black impression of my spirit animal, which is a wolf. That was on my right pectoral. Along with the 5,000 dollars I spent on my eyes, both operations added up to a total of about 5,800. I still have a good 100,000 dollars left in my account now and it feels phenomenal to have that much money and be responsible for it the rest of the way.
There ya go. That's why I'm a pretty weird guy and it's no wonder I'm still single, despite my impressive muscles that pretty much match up to one of my favorite Tekken characters: King.
"…oh, my goodness." Valtina gasped with an impressed gleam in her bright green eyes. "I've never seen such professional tattoo work on any person before! It's… amazing!"
"I'll say." Jawkin agreed as he shook his head really fast to knock the shock out of him. "We send you 105,800 dollars, which was a pretty specific amount, and this is what you spent it on?! The eye work and the tattoos?!"
"I only spent the 5,800 on the eyes and the tattoos." I confessed with no worries as we all just finished our plates and were drinking our desired beverages, which was orange juice for me while my parents had coffee.
"You still have plenty left over and you're still staying with us?"
"Yeah." I said that with a peaceful tone and a smile to match. Both of my parents returned it with joyful tears.
"Aww, Colby." My mother got up from her seat as she said this and I stood up at the same time she walked around the table towards me for an embrace that was warm physically and emotionally. "God bless you, son. You really do love us enough to make it so. And we love you even more because of it."
"Ya damn right!" My father agreed with his usual humor as he got up and joined in the family hug. "And we both can't ask for more than that, my boy."
"So glad you feel that way." I replied with tearful eyes. The hug lasted for the next three minutes and it ended with my mother giving me a tender kiss on my forehead. "Just so you know, this wolf on my chest here… it symbolizes my spirit animal."
"I see." Valtina replied. "And let me guess: You can turn into a wolf as well with the newfound ninja skills you've got."
"I haven't done it completely yet, but yeah. I turn into the legendary giant midnight wolf that you've told me bedtime stories about when I was a kid."
"How do you know that and you haven't used it yet?"
"I sneezed at my dorm once and a massive fuzzy black and grey colored tail came out of my backside above my butt by accident. It didn't hurt, but it ripped my jeans. I had to throw them out."
"Whoa… well, looks like the police will truly have a human K-9 working alongside 'em." Jawkin pointed out, then frowned for a moment. That made me look at him with a regal glare that was just as concerning. "Then again, you'll have to do something else for the next five years coming up."
"Why?"
"Well, the good news is that I've landed a new temporary real estate position and the same goes for your mother as a veterinarian, but the bad news is that we'll have to move to Japan in order to make those jobs happen. It's only for five years, though, like I said before." This was news to me. I knew both of my parents were extremely successful in their respective jobs, but I never thought it would get them to that massive of an upgrade. Surely, Japan won't be needing a crime fighting All-American ninja as well, but…
"There's no need to frown, Colby. I heard that positions for freelance crime fighting work is at high demand there. Either that or a freelance thief for extremely rich clients that have had their properties stolen and you just have to steal it back and return 'em. Either way, you're adding so much more to your 100,000 dollars, even though it'll be in yen for that time being. So, what do ya say? Ya feel comfortable about it?"
I was gonna say that I had no choice in the matter, but after hearing about being a freelance thief instead of a crime fighter, that surely wasn't an offer I couldn't refuse. All I did as my answer was give my dad the most heartwarming man hug I could ever give to him, despite the fact that I'm 6 feet and 9 inches tall and he was literally a whole foot below. Pretty soon, my mother joined in and this family hug was all that needed to happen to make it official for all three of us.
Three years later, in Kyoto, Japan…
(Kunimitsu II's POV)
After everything I've been through in terms of my mother falling ill, Gon's assistance really did bring me back to my old self. I was able to make peace with everyone at the Tekken 7 tournament and even gave a humble apology to Craig Marduk for how hostile I was toward him before. He accepted it with utmost gratitude and gave his condolences to my mother in the process. That was all I needed.
Aside from those factors, however, I returned to my old position as a freelance thief for the highest profile clients Japan had to offer, but not before I had a chance to settle down for a well-deserved break just a day before I went back. Gon came back to see me again at the massive Tekken Mansion, where all of us fighters resided in harmony, and he treated me to a dish that he brought along from America. It was just us two at the kitchen table and he was in his adorable short carnosaur self by the time he was atop of the table. Me? I was dressed in my urban ninja ensemble without the hoodie and my weapons. I was flummoxed by what he had just served to me. I've never seen such a dish. It was a couple of big triangular slices that seemed to be covered in cheese, sauce as red as my blood, and different ingredients that was mostly meat. Gon chuckled at my confused face as he sat down before his steamy plate of the same dish.
"You're looking like you've never seen pizza before." He pointed out with his usual humor and that semi-growling voice that always made me smile.
"Is that what this is?" I asked him in my cute voice that he loved so much. "I never heard of it nor have I seen it. I've always kept a healthy diet with the finest Japanese and Chinese cuisine. This… doesn't look healthy at all."
"Heh, heh. It isn't, but it's delicious! In this case, I've got my favorite ingredients here: Pepperoni, bacon, and onions. Yum!"
"Hmm…" My growling empty stomach couldn't be ignored anymore and I decided to give it a try. The slice was so big and flexible, I had to use both hands. As soon as I took that first bite at the tip… "Mmmmm! Wow! This is actually really good."
"Told ya so." Gon had to use a knife and fork in order to eat his serving. "This is the famous New York style pizza. They really do serve 'em by the slice and there's even a debate on how to eat 'em. Some eat it like how you're eatin' it now and well, I prefer my utensils. I've been called every bad word in the book in that city because of it, but eh! Let 'em say what they want. It's how I roll."
Tee-hee! I love this dinosaur. It's too bad he's not in the current tournament. Fighting him was fun and it would've been even better for all the glory. After that small speech, we ended up enjoying our pizza in silence for the next ten minutes. When we were finished, Gon treated me to another new thing: A can of soda… cream soda, to be precise. It lacked caffeine, but again, I just knew I was in for a treat. I didn't ask questions this time. I just popped it open and took a good first sip. Damn! Americans have all the best stuff!
"Hhhheh-heh-heh-heh!" Gon laughed as he saw that my grayish blue eyes rolled back in pure bliss at the taste. "Makes ya wanna come to America now, huh?"
"Indeed." I humbly agreed after I swallowed that first sip and we were just casually drinking it now. "But, despite how jealous as I am, I would rather stay here. I love my family, even with my father not even trying to see the both of us."
"Still no dice on gettin' pops to get together with ya mom, eh? It's been three years!"
"I know, but I guess that story you and Kaijamitsu told me is all starting to make sense. Still, I'm not letting it stop me from getting all three of us together as a loving family someday. I've already fulfilled my mother's wish of getting the Yoshimitsu sword. Now, it's my turn to fulfill mine."
"That's the spirit! You keep that hope alive, lil' Kuni. I know I will."
"Thanks, Gon. You really do make a much better father figure than my own father."
"And again, I'm flattered to receive that title from such a young professional kunoichi like you. Before I forget, I also noticed that it's been three years since I told ya about Colby Johannsson. Did ya ever look him up?"
"Not until about a year after you told me. The tournament held me back a bit. I actually did some online research on him. The man named Colby Donahoe Johannsson lived in a city called Xolton in the state of Maine. All the information I got was that he stood at 6 feet and 9 inches tall, weighs 230 pounds with about 98 percent of it being pure muscle, green eyes, and blonde hair. That's all I could get."
"Huh! Sounded like profile information from a dating app. Anyway, does he sound like the guy for ya? Did I give ya the right man?"
"…hmm, I'm not sure. He sounds like a nice guy, but I don't want those false hopes to take over my current state. Do you have more information on him?" We both had finished our beverages at that last word spoken from me and Gon smiled with confidence.
"Just a bit more, yeah. Just received word from Colby's dad, Jawkin. He and his family moved here from Maine and that was… heh, heh… get this: THREE years ago!"
"Again?! Wow. Such perfect timing. I had no idea. I would've tried to find him that day after I found the information."
"Hey, it's okay. The family's got another two years or so before they have to move back. I know that his mom's a well-renowned veterinarian and his dad's a real estate agent that has never not sold a house, but I have no idea what Colby's occupation is. Maybe he's lookin'… he is 21 years old."
"I thought he'd be about 24 by now. Is he frozen in age, like I am?"
"Probably. Oh! Now that you mentioned it, I just remembered! The man's been an All-American ninja since his freshman year of college many years back when he was 17. That oughta give ya some insight on that ageless theory."
"I only became frozen in age because of my mother suffering the same fate by the Mishima Zaibatsu. She was frozen and brought back to life at a young age and so, it's been passed down to me and it didn't kick in until my 20th birthday. No wonder I feel wiser at every passing year."
"There ya go. Makes much more sense. So, with all this information, will ya actually try to find him physically? Colby and his family are here in Japan, but I have no idea where he's living."
"I'll try, but it'll have to be by fate since the latter factor is the case. Since my father still won't get involved with me, this will be the perfect opportunity."
"But ya not guaranteeing that the curse of the cupid's arrow will hit ya upon finding him. Am I right?"
"It depends, especially since you did tell me that Colby's got a crush on me."
"Well…" Gon paused as he stood up and approached me, ready for a fist bump. "…here's hopin' for the best for you young blood ninjas." I pulled off my most adorable smile since meeting the dinosaur and we performed that fist bump in agreement and I did mentally pray that my first meeting with Colby will be a peaceful one if not a romantic one.
To be continued…
