First off, I'm sorry I deleted this the first time, everyone. I truly am. I don't know what I was thinking, maybe I was hesitant to go through with this considering what Kuroinu is, maybe I was stuck trying to figure out how to move the plot forward. I'm not sure myself. The point is, I have brought the story back and intend to make it better than the last attempt.
And yeah, this will be a harem because of course it's going to be a harem!
Disclaimer: I do not own Kuroinu: Kedakaki Seijo wa Hakudaku ni Somaru or Skyrim/The Elder Scrolls. All rights respectively go to Liquid, the studio who created Kuroinu, and Bethesda Studios, the gaming company who made The Elder Scrolls series.
Eostia was a place of beauty and a place where one would love to live in. The country held five species of beings: humans, elf, dwarf, beast-kin, and demons. The land was once governed by elves, but was given to humans as a gift many centuries ago.
During that time, there was peace but not without strife and misfortune in the middle. The demon race were known for only causing destruction and brought about misery wherever they went. Orcs, imps, goblins and dark creatures alike took great pleasure in pillaging and raping, especially raping. They'd slaughter crops, livestock's, and people in their way just for their enjoyment. The women…the women had the unfortunate face of being their fuck toys until they either became in love with the demons or had just given up on feeling the pain and minds became blank; broken.
That all ended on one fateful day. Out of nowhere, a giant castle rose from the north. It was named 'The Black Fort' as it just seemed to suck out every drop of life to anything living thing that got too close to the building. Because of that, there was no crops, lakes were toxic to drink, and the air they breathed seemed to thin and made the land appear in an endless night.
While the fort collected all the evil power to give to the demons, it was controlled by their leader, the Queen of Dark Elves, Olga Discordia. It was her that had sent armies of demons to attack the human lands for too many years to count. The woman would have succeeded in eliminating humanity if not her counterpart, the High Elf Celestine Lucross, hadn't foiled her plans.
It was said that Celestine was a reborn Goddess and she led the humans and other races who were terrorized to drive the demons back to their fort. An endless war soon began between the two ruling elves without either gaining the upper hand on the other.
Celestine had built seven city/fortresses to defend them against Olga and her minions with six powerful people to lead the occupants in the city to fight them if need be. They were as followed: Leader of the knights and her right-hand woman Claudia Levantain, leader of the dwarfs Luu-Luu, Kaguya the Shrine Maiden, leader of the mercenaries Maia, Princess Knights Alicia Arcturus and Prim Fiorire. Those seven would be known as Princess Knights of the Seven Shield Alliance.
Even though they were very powerful, they were not stupid enough to go against an almost endless army of demons by themselves. Mercenaries were hired to aid and increase military power. Over the years, it became a common thing for knights and mercenaries to fight alongside the other. It was one group of mercenaries, though, that helped the most. They were known as the Black Dogs/Kuroinu.
Vault, the leader of the ragtag warriors, pushed back the demons so far that they had opened a way to directly attack the Fort where the Queen sat. After so many years of blood, tears, and many sadness, it seemed like it was all about to end. Though, sometimes, when you take out one threat, another larger and more threatening one decides to rear its ugly head.
However, not all hope is lost...
Volt was having a terrible time. He had gotten separated from his men in the heat of the battle and now found himself surrounded by a group of orcs. The leader of the Black Dogs panted heavily as he tried to regain enough strength to fight off his opposition. To make matters worse, the orc leader had just arrived on the scene and was looking to take his head. Volt knew that the odds of him surviving was diminishing by the second as long as he went without support. Even now, he could hear his men calling to him, but were kept away by the orcs standing between them. Still, he would fight to his last. Bringing his claymore up, Volt readied himself for what might just be his last fight.
An orc charged him on his right, bringing his club down in a mighty swing. Volt dodged the attack as the club hit the ground, kicking up a large blast of dirt. The mercenary swung his claymore around, capitalizing on the miss to take the orc's head clean off. Another orc with a war hammer came next, swinging his weapon horizontally. Volt ducked under the blow and stabbed his blade into his opponents gut. He was already pulling free just as the monster moaned out in pain to block the attack from a sword wielding orc. The mercenary pushed off in time to avoid the stab from a spear that came from behind.
Rolling on the ground, Volt brought his sword up to block an attack from his right as two more orcs charged him. Letting out a mighty roar, the mercenary swung his sword in a wide arc, cutting deeply into the three orcs surrounding him. As his foes fell, Volt panted as exhaustion began to take hold. Motion to his left caught attention as he saw the orc leader stomp towards him with his battle-axe held high. The man grunted as he raised his claymore up, ready for battle. The orc leader roared as it charged, bringing the axe down upon Volt. Dodging to the side, Volt swung his sword around in an attack that was blocked by the orc's axe. Slashing again, the orc blocked with the flat of his blade before pushing the small human off and went to take his head with a horizontal slash. Volt jumped back before trying to stab the orc with his sword.
The orc leader moved to the side while bringing his axe down to redirect the sword point into the ground. Once grounded, the orc reared back to backhand Volt, sending the man flying through the air, his sword slipping from his grasp due to his weakened state. Volt tumbled along the ground for a moment before coming to rest, panting heavily from pain and fatigue. He struggled to rise from the dirt as the orc leader slowly advanced upon him. The leader of the mercenaries raised his head to see the orc leader stare at him for a second before raising his massive battle-axe high in the air. He heard his men scream out his name as he closed his eyes, awaiting his bitter end.
"FUS RO DAH!"
The shout came out of nowhere and Vault was in shock as the orc leader was thrown back and sent crashing along the ground by some kind of bluish energy. Turning his head, Volt's eyes widened as he found a man standing there, donned in dark and sinister looking armour.
The armor itself has an overall unique model with a black-metallic color scheme (due to being made from ebony), and is decorated with small silver chains, intricate and ornamental designs on the boots, lower torso and gauntlets, two sets of shoulder guards underneath the initial armored spikes mounted on the shoulders, and even several large fasteners located all over the body that link each piece of the armor together.
The set also features several other spikes protruding from various parts of the body as well as six large horn-like spikes on the very top of the helmet to accompany the large eye-like sockets in the front, giving the figure a monstrous appearance.
The figure unsheathed a sword and held it at his side, ready for battle.
The orc leader stumbled to his feet, caught off guard from what had struck him. He saw the newcomer and then roared as he swung his battle-axe at the human who dared to interfere. The figure leaned back, avoiding the battle-axe, then swung his own sword and decapitated the orc leader in one clean swing, sending the head flying off the body and to the floor as the body topple and fell as well.
The man looked at the group of orcs. "Anyone else?"
The orcs charged at him and the man met them in battle, ducking, dodging then slashing them down with ease, like this was all too common to him.
Volt stood wide-eyed as he watched the man who saved him single handedly slaughter the orc detachment that was about to kill him
"Volt! We're here!"
Volt snapped out of his stupor as a large group of his men ran to his side. They had been successful in breaking through the enemy line using the distraction made by the stranger's fight and were now watching the one-sided battle between the orcs and the stranger.
The man in question had just killed another orc when a war cry alerted him to the presence of the orc leader who was charging him with fury in his eyes. The man sucked in a deep breath.
"YOL!" He shouted and fire came out of his mouth, much to the shock of Vault and everyone else, as they watched the fire hit the orc who cried as he was burned alive and fell to the ground, dead.
The man looked to the severed head before looking up at the remaining orcs, who were trembling at the sight of their dead leader and the human who effortlessly killed it. At an unseen signal, the orcs turned and fled from the battle, the sound of a distant horn filling the air sounding the retreat.
The Black Dogs watched as the orc army retreated before the shouts and cheers began to grow until it was a deafening roar. As some chose to pursue the fleeing army, Volt and his men approached the stranger who was sheathing his sword.
"Thank you, stranger, for saving my life. I owe you a debt." Volt said as he approached the man.
The man turned to him and nodded his head, his helmet hiding the majority of his facial features. "You do not need to thank me. I saw that you were in danger and acted accordingly, nothing more."
"Regardless, you saved my life and killed the orc leader, granting us victory in this battle. Your skills and abilities were beyond astounding. Eostia could really use someone of your strength to fight for it. What say you? Will you accompany us back to Rad, I'm sure that Lady Celestine would like to meet you."
The man seemed to think it over before nodding his head; this made the men around him cheer.
Volt smiled as he stepped forward and offered his hand. "I swear you won't regret it, friend. Allow me to introduce myself. Volt, leader of the Black Dog Mercenaries."
The man glanced down at the offered hand before he shook it.
"Daemon. You may call me Daemon..."
Yeah, it's the same way I started with the first attempt, but why change something you believe to be good? And yeah, I've changed the Drsgonborn's name from Markus to Daemon, you can blame House of the Dragon for that one. As for the Dragonborn's appearance in this, well his armour and weapons, my more common choice will be the Daedric armour set, and he'll wield two swords, not Daedric swords, their design will be based off Dark Sister and Blackfyre from ASOFAI/GOT. Why? because they look like badass swords and fit the Dragonborn.
If anyone would like to help out with this story, like helping write out the chapters or something, how you think Daemon's meeting with Cellestine will go, how to advance the plot, then be sure to PM me and we'll talk. I welcome the help.
Harem: Olga, Celestine, Alicia, Prim, Chloe, Claudia, Kaguya, Maia, and Luu-Luu.
