AN: Enjoy the reupload and the slight changes I've made.

"You know Danny, it doesn't have to always be about ghosts that we talk about," a female reporter and fan told me with a wink.

"Uh, well you see, I'm already taken," I stammered.

"Pfft, that goth bitch? You could do SO much better. You are a national and worldwide hero. Ditch her and have some real fun," she kept saying.

"Alright, this interview is over. Please go the fuck away and leave me and my friends the hell alone," I said, getting angry enough that my eyes glowed green. Who does this bitch think she is trying to break me and Sam up, AGAIN. I transformed and flew away to Casper High where I was finally a senior.

As I landed on the steps leading up to the main entrance I spotted my best friend and my girlfriend, Sam and Tucker. I rushed over grabbing a quick kiss from Sam and a high-five from Tuck.

"How'd the interview go?" Tucker asked.

"What do you think? She basically insulted Sam the entire time and insinuating to wanting to fuck. Just like the last young female reporter," I told him sighing, "I sometimes wish that we could all go back and have no one learn of my secret, but then I remember that we would've all died horribly and doomed the Earth and the Ghost Zone."

"Damn, I thought I was the morbid one," Sam jokingly said to get a laugh out of me, it worked. "What can I say? You've rubbed off on me," I smiled at her. As we were walking towards Mr. Lancer's homeroom class the first bell rang signalling five minutes. I looked towards my friends who nodded, I grinned as I made us intangible and we got to class first.

"Glad to see you are taking school seriously Mr. Fenton," Mr. Lancer said approvingly as we appeared in-front of him, "Where was this attitude the past three years?"

"Well Mr. Lancer those past three years were filled with me trying to hide my abilities from everyone. I always wanted to do well in school but the stress of homework and ghost fighting hampered my grades. Especially the ghost fighting," I told him, shrugging as my friends and I found our seats. I saw Mr. Lancer look perturbed and then nod to himself as the rest of the class filled in.

"Well, school sucked as usual," Sam said as we left the building.

"Yeah, but at least there were no ghost atta-," I started to say as a familiar blue mist came out of my mouth.

"What was that Danny? No ghost attacks?" Tucker questioned as he elbowed me in the side.

"Oh shut the hell up Tucker," I chuckled as I looked around to see if I could find the ghost, "I'm going ghost!" I shouted as the two familiar white rings appeared around me turning me into my ghostly half, Danny Phantom. I flew up into the air scouting around until I found a strange sight, Ember McLain and Skulker were having an argument.

"You know what dipstick? We are over! Leave me the fuck alone or I will fucking melt you into scrap!" Ember screamed at Skulker as he just looked enraged.

"Fine Ember. I, Skulker the greatest hunter of the Ghost Zone, don't need someone like you," Skulker said as he prepared his suit to fire at Ember. Skulker fired off multiple rockets which shocked Ember enough she forgot to shield herself and took the full brunt of the blast. "Eat that you bitch," Skulker stated as he started to fly away. Oh no you don't asshole. I thought as I flew after him charging up a Ghost Ray and releasing it at his back,

"Hey Chromedome! You got it wrong! No one needs you! At least Ember has good music even if the reason behind the music is wrong!" I shouted as the blast connected. Skulker went flipping through the air as I caught up to him and managed to lay into him sending parts flying. Five minutes later I had Skulker in a heap of parts ready to be placed into the thermos as he chuckled, "Oh Ghost Child, this fight had nothing to do with you, but have fun saving her!" I whirled around as he managed to lose another rocket at Ember who had come up behind me. I shouted, "NO!" as I floated there helpless as I watched Ember's eyes grow wide as she watched the rocket approach. When it finally hit I had landed and had Skulker in the thermos. I heard the contact of the missile to flesh to flesh to concrete, I cringed and looked down, Ember had landed at my feet, beaten and battered. "Hey dipstick, I guess *cough* you can't save everyone, huh?" Ember cracked as she faded into unconsciousness.

"Holy fuck what happened!" I hear come from behind me as I stare at Ember's unconscious form, watching the ectoplasm leak out. I slowly turn to see Sam and Tucker arrive with my sister Jazz and my family quickly following behind them.

"It was Skulker, they were… they were having an argument over their relationship and Ember ended it, Skulker was mad and fired a volley of missiles at her. I quickly joined the fight to try and finish it quickly but Skulker managed one last rocket which missed me by a mile and hit Ember," I explained while turning to my mom.

"Mom can we do anything back at the lab? I want to help her. I will be a donor. I don't care for the consequences," I pleaded as I looked back to Ember's unconscious body.

"We will do what we can, Danny but I don't know if her body will accept your ectoplasm because of how different it is from a full ghost," my mom told me worryingly.

"Let's try it anyways!" I demanded as I picked up Ember and started floating towards Fenton-Works. I saw a nod from my family and I turned around and bolted towards the house. When I arrived I went intangible and flew us down to the lab where I layed Ember down on a medical bed we had down there. I started to gather up the materials needed for a blood, or in this case ectoplasm, transfusion with the mantra, please don't fucking die again, please, going through my head.

At this point I hear the door to the house open and the portal to the Ghost Zone activate with my family, friends and Kitty coming through all at the same time. "What the hell happened Phantom!" Kitty shrieked as she saw Ember's form. "I'd say ask Skulker but he's a little entrapped at the moment," I quipped as my mom took over the preparations and I rolled up the sleeve of my jumpsuit for the needle.

"What the hell do you think you are doing Danny?" Kitty and Sam ask then look towards each other shocked. "I am preparing to give my ectoplasm. She has lost over half of hers and it keeps going down thus why she isn't healing," I state calmly as my mom starts transferring the ectoplasm. "Kitty do you know where Clockwork's tower is?" I ask. "Yeah, duh. Who doesn't anymore?" "Go ask him if my ectoplasm will have any negative effects on Ember, it will obviously heal her but I don't know if this will make a new halfa or not." Kitty looks at me alarmed and speeds off back into the Ghost Zone.

"Danny what the hell do you mean, "make a new halfa?"" Sam demands after Kitty leaves. "Exactly what I said, Sam, my ectoplasmic signature is different from any other ghosts' in the Zone. I also know that Ember had a human life before she died so this might turn her into a halfa also," I say as I start feeling lightheaded and revert back to my human half.

"Danny you might want to stop the transfusion, you just reverted and since the needle is still in you might have given the mid-morph and human DNA to Ember," my mom tells me as I sluggishly pull the needle out of my arm and see the tube turn from the greenish-red to reddish-green to clear as the blood/ectoplasm mixture stops running through the tube.

"I hope that was enough, I'm going to take a nap now.." I drone as I slump forward into unconsciousness myself.

"Danny. Danny! DANNY FENTON!" I hear as I jump to alertness from my unexpected nap. "WHAT! WHat did I do? Oh hey Kitty you're back. KITTY YOU'RE BACK! What did Clockwork say? Will Ember be okay? Did my blood and ectoplasm make another halfa?" I ramble off to Kitty as I look back over to Ember's form.

"According to what Clockwork could tell me, you saved her but as to creating a new halfa, he couldn't confirm or deny if you did or not. He just said to let me bring her back to her lair and it should do the rest of the healing. I will keep you updated on when she wakes up," Kitty said as I sigh in relief.

"Thanks Kitty, I hope everything goes okay and if she does end up becoming a halfa, I apologize, it's not as fun as I make it out to be," I tell her as she picks up Ember. "It'll hopefully be alright and nothing will come of it, but if she does turn you'll have to deal with her anger before I even try to step in and stop her from either harming herself or you." Kitty states as she flies through the Ghost Portal.

"Well that could have gone better, who's hungry?" Tucker asks, trying to clear the seriousness out of the air. "I need to talk to Sam, Tuck but pizza sounds great oh Mayor of Amity Park," I reply as I look towards Sam who looks ready to lay into me worse than Tucker into an all meat pizza. I watch Tucker leave to go make the call as Sam and I walk up to my room for some privacy as my family are still cleaning up the basement.

"Why the fuck did you have to go and do that Danny? Ember is an enemy! You two hardly ever talk to each other, so why did you just "have to" save her using your ectoplasm? Now we could have another Halfa out to get you!" Sam starts in, "Not to mention that Kitty was RIGHT fucking THERE! You could have let her be the donator! What do you have to say for yourself?" I sit down on my bed during the verbal tirade and wait until she finally quits to say my two cents.

"Sam we both know I have a saving people thing and the past two or three times I went into the Ghost Zone on patrol I have run into Ember with Kitty and they both have been easy going and non-hostile. People, and ghosts, can change, Clockwork knows you have, I just wanted to make sure nothing went wrong. I'd say I'm sorry but we both know that'd be a lie. I'm a hero, I'm going to save as many people as I can," I say as I look her directly in the eye.

"Whatever Danny, I'm just glad you aren't hurt. I just hope we haven't made it harder on the ghosts in the Zone by possibly creating another "all-powerful halfa" and unleashing her onto the Zone," Sam tells me as she comes in for a hug. "I know Sam, and I agree. Who knows what will happen."

Ember's Realm; 3 Days Later

"Fucking hell I feel like I went four rounds with the Dipstick with his Wail going fullblast," Ember groans as she finally comes around. "Wait a minute, the last thing I remember is Skulker taking the break up horribly and shooting multiple rockets… into my face. THAT MOTHERFUCKER! WHERE IS HE? I WANT TO KICK HIS TIN ASS SO HARD HE EJECTS!" Ember exclaims as she whirls around trying to take in her surroundings before grabbing her head and laying back down. "Okay, that was a very bad idea," she murmurs as she hears a door open.

"Yeah, no shit there girlfriend, stupid ass question but how are you feeling?" Kitty asks as she comes to investigate the screaming Ember. "You've been out of it for three days! Phantom was so worried about you he gave you an Ecto-transfusion instead of waiting and letting me do it."

"So does that mean that I'm going to be a Halfa too?" Ember worries, knowing how bad a reputation Halfas still has in the Zone. "Well, you should really look in a mirror," Kitty trails off, going pale as she notices Ember's complexion changing gradually from her ghostly half to a more human-like appearance with red hair, blue jeans and a plaid sweater. "Um, Ember not that plaid doesn't suit you but what the Fuck were you wearing when you died?" Kitty asks as she scans Ember up and down. "What do you mean plaid? I haven't worn plaid since the day my house burned down… wait a minute, I'm my human self aren't I?" Ember jumps up and runs to a mirror watching the final ghostly attribute, her green eyes, go to a sapphire blue. "Oh, Dipstick is going to get it!" she growls out as she rushes to change into her more normal attire.

"You do know that you still might have your ghost side, right? And who knows, if it is still there you might be able to get teleporting down to further than one jump every two hours," Kitty states as she tries to calm down the simmering Ember. "Phantom already feels bad enough not being able to stop Skulker from sending that final rocket that caused this in the first place."

"Oh, he fuckin better, I'm going to go ghost on his ass and make him regret this!" Ember says as she watches two, blue, flame-like circles appear around her torso converting her back into her regular ghostly self.

"This is going to be fun!" She smirks as she looks towards Kitty who chuckles. "Why are you laughing? Did I say something funny?" "Nah, but Phantom still has Skulker in the Thermos, with everything that happened to you he never returned that tin can to the Zone," Kitty explains as they both break down into giggles.

Back with Danny; Same time

"And I get the feeling I forgot to do something," I say as I look over the lab. "Lets see, transfusion gear is clean, Thermos is put away, Skulker is back in the zone, Sam and Tucker went home, I cleaned up the lab as a sorry mom and dad, oh shit! Skulker is still in the Thermos! Ah well, I gotta feeling that Ember will be on the way here to either say thank you, fuck you, beat the shit out of me, or a combination of all the above. I can use Skulker as a bargaining tool to try and extend an olive branch as an apology if she was turned into a Halfa." I just hope I don't get beat up too badly, I do have school and shit tomorrow.

"Danny! Don't be late for school, ok?" "Yeah mom! I'm heading out now!" I tell her as I go intangible and go through my wall to start my flight to school. When I got there I noticed everyone focused on a new person in-front of the main entrance.

"Yo, has anyone here seen Phantom this morning? I need to have a few… words… with him." a redheaded new girl in black combat boots, navy blue skinny jeans, and a Ember McLain black halter top asks, looking around the gathering crowd narrowing in on me when I step forward.

"I'm currently not fighting any ghosts so Phantom isn't here, but I'm Fenton. Can I take a message?" I cheekily reply as I push my way to the front of the group. "Oh c'mon Dipstick, did you really not recognize me like this?" she snarls as two rings appear around her and she rushes towards me, laying me out flat. "Is this better?"

"Shit, that hurt! I deserved it though. I'm so sorry Ember. Especially for not being able to stop the rocket yesterday," I cringe as she glares at me. Yup, I'm so fucked. Looks like it will be a combination of all the above. "I'd say an apology accepted but I really didn't want to become like you. So instead, fuck you!" Ember yells as she slaps me across the face, hard.

"Okay, again, well deserved. Hear me out a second," I stand back up and brush myself off before looking her in the eyes. " I still have Skulker trapped and I can help you get used to your human half again if you like," I offer as I look around to the phones, shocked faces and Sam's annoyance as she realizes what happened.

"The first step is giving your human half a slightly different name, it will help keep everything straight if you want." "You better have a damn good training itinerary when I get back," Ember demands before teleporting away in blue swirling flames.

After School

"Well, another uneventful school day. Thank fuck for that," I say as Sam, Tucker and I walk out of school to head home.

"Aren't you forgetting something, Dipstick?" I hear from in front of us. I look up to see Ember standing there looking, if possible, more intimidating than her ghost half with her arms crossed. "Oh, he-ey Ember. What are you having issues with exactly right now? Your situation is kinda the reverse mine was. You already know how to manage your powers, whereas I had no idea what the hell I was doing."

"You know Danny, I think me and Tuck are going to leave you and Ember to it," Sam said as she dragged Tucker away. "Ok Sam, I'll see y'all later."

"You really are clueless aren't you Dipstick?" Amber glares at me as we watch Sam and Tucker walk away. "What do you mean by that?" "She's obviously pissed at this whole situation, I am too for that matter, and wanted to pretend everything was normal. You do know she has a jealous streak a mile wide too right? Like we would ever date," Ember scoffs while I grow red in the face.

"Who? Sam? Yeah she's pissed but jealous?" I stammer getting worried. Oh great now I get to deal with ANOTHER one of her rages. "Anyways, as I asked earlier, what do you need help with on the human side, Ember?"

"Well, first call me Amber in this form. Secondly, you've always been used to the sheer power level difference. Sure I was one of the stronger ghosts in the Zone before what you did, but now everything seems to be supercharged. How the hell do I deal with the difference?" Amber asks as her eyes glow green as she glares at me.

"Damn, is that really how I look when my eyes glow? No wonder people get freaked out. The best I can offer is to help you train to get used to the difference. And have you been in your human half much at all lately? That will help settle the powers. Spend about the same amount of time in each form and practice which powers you can use in each."

"So kinda like how I learned guitar? Just a shit load of practice to get good with it?" Amber asked. "Yeah! Exactly like that!" I say excitedly as we start walking down the street. We reached my house about twenty minutes later.

"Damn, time flies when you're talking about regulating ghost powers huh?" I quip. "Really Babypop? Your jokes are still bad," She says, rolling her eyes. "The quote is 'Time flies when you're having fun." "I know that! I just was trying to lighten the mood, plus, we weren't flying and Clockwork really just floats and rotates," I say to groans as I walk up my house steps, chuckling.

"Danny? Who are you talking to out there? Oh hello! Who are you?" my mom asks as she opens the door and sees me and Amber standing there. "Hello Mrs. Fenton, I'm Amber, or you'd probably recognize me better as this," Ember says as she transforms into her ghost half. "Oh my, so you did become a Halfa?" my mom asks worriedly. "How is this going to affect you in the Zone? If you need a place to stay, Jazmin has moved out to go to college and her room has been converted into a guest room."

"Thanks Mrs. Fenton but I have my realm in the Zone, and the only two people there that know about my Halfa status are Kitty and Clockwork. If my secret does get out though, I might take you up on your offer. Having to sleep and eat again are definitely fun experiences that I never really realized I missed."

"Well just give Danny a heads up, don't need you to get accidentally blasted by the house security now that we fixed you up!" my mom says as she ushers us into the house. "You know mom, not that I mind since the whole Halfa thing is my fault, but you are being strangely calm and accepting of Ember," I ask her as I look from her to Ember and back. "I figured if anything we could just go into the Zone, let her beat the shit out of me, and we move on."

"Now Danny, watch your language! I went ahead and followed through with your plan, knowing this might happen. The least I can do is be supportive and help in any way I can. Besides, with Jazmin gone I feel like the house is missing something with just the three of us here. I doubt Ember, or Amber in this case, has a place in the human realm to help with public curiosity," mom informed me.

"I wouldn't worry too much about the public curiosity mom, Ember kinda made an appearance at school this morning and showed everyone with a camera, changing her form. I just hope Technus doesn't see the video. Let me go grab Skulker by the way. We can have fun and hit him a few more times while you practice your powers," I tell them as I go and retrieve the Thermos.

"Don't worry Dip-Danny. I will and I completely forgot about Technus. This should be interesting and I might take up that room offer sooner than I thought," Ember says as she floats down to the Ghost Portal. "Thank you for the offer Mrs. Fenton and thanks again Dipstick for the Tin Can in a can! I'll wait for you by the portal entrance," Amber says as she transforms and flies into the portal. I share a glance with my mom before quickly following suit.

Ghost Zone; Portal Entrance

"Phew, at least I have a sanctuary to go back to if I need it." Ember mutters as she enters the Zone. She heads off towards her second favorite ghost bar for a drink when she notices a crowd forming around Technus' domain. Oh fucking hell, please don't be what I think it is. As she flies over to see the damage she hears the grating voice of Technus himself.

"I! Technus! Master of technology and all things electronic have successfully hacked a mortal satellite! Now we can all have this interesting "Wi-fi" and "Cable Television" everyone is talking about! Let's see what the humans are streaming now!" She hears Technus shout to the crowd as he sets up a huge flat-screen television. Oh it's just that. Alright nothing to be afraid of! Ember thinks as she starts to fly away.

"Oh c'mon Dipstick, did you really not recognize me like this?" Ember stops dead as she hears her own words again. "Fucking shit," Ember swears as she turns around to see a media service broadcasting the entire scene of this morning from the different phone cameras. "That's right folks, Ember McLain, the rockstar extraordinaire is now or has been a Halfa just like our own Danny Phantom! What does this mean for Phantom or his current love interest, Sam Manson, we do not know but stay tuned for more!" The news anchor starts cheerily as the channel goes to commercial. The entire ghost audience is quietly murmuring as I start backing away slowly before bumping into Phantom who motions me to be quiet while we go invisible and fly above the crowd.

"The mighty Technus did not see this coming!" Technus blurts out as he stares at the blank screen. I look towards Dipstick's floating eyes and see he wants us to fly away. I nod and we head further into the zone, away from the mob.

AN: I'm fixing what I can and adding more context, expect an entirely new second chapter to finish this out!
