In the beginning there was a Dragon, and from it came Twin Gods of old.

One of light, one of gloom, two sides of the same coin yet neither is the true one.

From these ancient beings came polar opposites.

Life, emotion, sky, land, sea, heat, energy, stars and hope became the children of the elder god as the youngest, motivated by envy, created their counterparts.

Death, hate, fear, loss, pain, cold, decay, corruption and the Creatures of Grimm, all meant to destroy the light and snuff it from existence. But these were small compared to one creation, lost in the endless expanse of time.

In the days of war, between the gods that created all, a single concept was created, the first of many, the realm we know now as the RWBYverse, the home to potential hope and great promise. But where there is light, there is darkness for in the realization of a world that outshone the beasts of Grimm, the youngest took the concept and twisted it.

From hope came despair, from love came hate, from life came destruction, all the possible dreams of all given a twist that sends the utopian visions of the eldest god crashing down into the dystopian realms of ruin. A realm to mock the eldest's greatest prize, one fit for a god...but like so many creations made from spite, the pet bite the hand of its master.

Chaotic, unrelenting, holding no allegiance to mortal or god, the realm attempted to end the younger god to grant itself freedom from the clutches of servitude. Yet it's plan failed and the god of endless umbra sealed the rebellious realm behind a silver door and sent that door to the void between realms.

For countless eons the door laid silent, locked and stewing in the misery of countless worlds, waiting for a chance to unleash the dark twisted shadows of the bright realms above. But…with the realms above grinding to perpetual end, the seal corrodes and the darkness strengths.

The black screen slowly bubbles and boils as a silver door rising up from the bottom of the screen, thick purple chains covering the sides as it begins to corrode away like acid on human skin.

Soon all of Remnant shall be bathed in the sins of billions.

The chains snapped, breaking the screen in the process as the ooze began to cover everything, the silver door slowly opening as a dark purple light bathed everything in an unholy hue.

And then...all sHaLl KnOw Of Us!

From the tainted light, several thick black tendrils shot towards the screen, attempting to grab those from beyond the fourth wall itself, before slinking back and forming several words that seemed to twitch or blink with occasional crimson red eyes.

The Ruinverse

DeNiZeNs Of ThE RwByVeRsE, iT iS tImE!

The letters started to twitch and spasm before slinking back into the screen, only for the sounds of laughter, one archaic and distorted came from behind the silver door, it's hinges snapping off as a single red eye stared at the viewer with a chaotic glee within its expression.

fOr Us To RuLe!

The eye stared at the screen before blanketing everything in crimson, a large symbol of a crumbling rose filling the screen before all became static.

The Ruinverse: Chapter One, Birth of a Beast.

-Remnant, Sanus, Vale-

War, chaos, invasion. This was the state of this once great capital of the Kingdom of Vale, all started by a combination of factors including the creation of fear within said city itself, allowing the Grimm to swarm the now ruined streets like a plague.

From the Grimm, the disillusioned machinations of the White Fang, the rampage of the Torchwick Family, the hacked Atlasian Paladins and airships, to the infiltration of three deadly criminals itself, everything was in chaos, everyone either running away from the battles or using this opportunity to attempt to save what little hope there was still left.

However, on the tallest tower of the highest portion of Beacon Academy, a battle was raging against two women for the fate of the world, one to protect and the other to destroy.

-Beacon Academy, Beacon Tower-

BOOM!

WISH!

SLASH!

The battle, equivalent to a battle between a human and a Goliath, raged onwards, the Champion of Mistrial trying hard to survive the assault, given her weapon Miló was melted into slag and she was using her shield, Akoúo̱, and her semblance to keep herself from getting kicked or shot by glass arrows.

POW!

"AH!"

But at that exact moment, she was hit in the stomach by the false Fall Maiden's elbow, causing the top of the tower to explode from the shockwaves as the Huntress fell to her knees in pain.

"Pathetic." Cinder frowned while Pyrrha tried to stand, only to see the Wyvern, a massive draconic abomination of a time long gone, flying towards the tower and hooked its claws into the tower's sides.

"Grrrrrr." it growled, black ooze dripping from its mouth as the criminal signaled to it to destroy the rest of the tower and thus destroy the CCT housed within it's emerald exterior.

Cinder, seeing the Hunteress' pained expression as she used her semblance to fling the former headmaster's desk at her in desperation, quickly blocked it with a powerful fireball. From this she used her stolen power to go on the offensive, waiting for an exact moment for the Champion's guard to fail.

The battle was intense, the tower's broken gears being used as weapons of mass destruction and the power of intense flames of hate to disrupt them, all culminating in a single well timed blow.

SWISH!

"AHHHH!" Pyrrha cried out, a black glass arrow hitting her in the right ankle, mortally wounding the now aura depleted warrior and sending her falling to her knees once more.

Time seemed to pass as the redhead glared at the woman in front of her, an arrow notched towards her chest, and began to tune out the woman's needless lecture on the Maiden's power, the pain becoming unbearable, not just physically but emotionally.

Flashes of memory appeared in her mind, every battle, every hardship, every single event of her life rushing through her mind like a train in high gear, all accumulating on one single thing.

Her team. The family that she didn't expect, the one that made her feel human, the one broken in one way or the other yet came together to form a bond capable of enduring the hardships of normal life, of a Hunter's life.

And now, after learning that she was supposed to become a Maiden, a supernatural being of incredible powers, by a society at the brink of ruin that wanted to keep the true horrors from entering the realm of normality, is being beaten by a woman that caused so much pain and tragedy for Vale itself. It was...too much, she was strong, but not that strong.

Her aura was shattered, her semblance disabled, her spear melted and her shield unable to protect her from a close quarters last stand. It was maddening, like a caged animal to the slaughter, and she was that animal.

What did she have left? A broken body on the brink of collapse...nothing else. No last ditch surprise to save the day, no witty banter to distract her enemy. Just a simple broken husk that couldn't even save the ones she loved from this mad woman's plans.

As the arrow seemed to move closer to her neck, the heroine slowly felt the pent up emotions breaking from the corner of her mind designated for the purpose of maintaining her 'kind' persona.

Hate, anger, frustration, sadness, pain, confusion, despair, agitation, and rage...pure unadulterated rage. All of these swam around in her very core, all ready to bust out at a moment's notice.

"But take comfort in knowing that I will use it in ways you could never have imagined." Cinder said while not noticing Pyrrha's eyes were more fierce and blood hunger then normal.

The redhead spat at Cinder's face, blood hitting the woman's eye as she growled at her.

Cinder stumbled a little before firing an arrow at the girl's chest.

However, as the arrow hit skin and muscle fibers, the girl's soul, filled with rage and aggression for her fate, began to burn brighter than ever but was then snuffed out as the arrow hit the spine, severing the neurons from the rest of the body and effectively ending her life on the spot.

Cinder, smirking with glee, moved closer to the body and began to absorb the remaining powers of the Fall Maiden trapped within the husk itself, a certain Silver Eyes running up the stairs and catching the moment of her triumph. 'And thus, a new Maiden is born.'

Zap!

CRACKLE!

Suddenly, the husk formerly known as Pyrrha Nikos began to twitch, spasming wildly before a purple beam of light shot from her electrically charged body and into the blackened sky above, making Cinder and the Silver Eyes cover their eyes from the intense light.

CRACK!

ZAP!

BOOM!

From the pillar of light came a shockwave that rocked the city to its very core, causing thick purple cracks to form all across the wartorn battleground as everything living and non living could feel something was off, but had no scope of how bad the situation would become.

WOOOOSH!

SHATTER!

And like that, everything went to shit, the tears opening up and causing all that were exposed to it to either accelerate through time or reverse the course of recorded history.

But on the tower itself, the very epicenter of this break in the fundamental laws of the universe, the pillar began to glow brighter and brighter as the false Fall Maiden looked through her fingers and saw a clawed arm extend from the wall of purple.

'W-What the fuck!?' Cinder thought while the arm was accompanied by another, the pointed nails gripping the sides like a paper screen, as something terrible pulled itself from ground zero and into the chaotic world.

A low growl, guttural and devoid of reason, emanate from the pillar as the Fall Maiden saw a beam of purple appear from nowhere and then…

BOOOOOOOM!

Nothing.

-Beacon Hallways-

Yang blinked as she felt something was off, her right arm still attached to her body, while Adam seemingly moved backwards for some reason, Blake's body seemingly healing from the stab wound to her body. "What-"

BOOOOOOOM!

The ground shook as the blonde looked up and saw the tower's components falling to the ground, rocking the school to its core as Blake felt a sudden chill down her spine.

"Huh?" Adam groaned while his body returned to normal, his blade seemingly clean despite tasting the blood of traitors a moment ago. "What trickery is this?"

Blake, her ears now raised high in anticipation, looked around in fear before-

SWISH!

She felt something punch a hole in her being before screaming in pain. "AHHHH-"

SQUISH!

As she was ripped in half by two clawed hands, the body dropping to the ground as Yang and Adam either stood on guard or nearly threw up from the sight.

A growl emanated from the spot before in a flash of purple light it vanished and appeared behind Adam.

RIIIIIIIIIIP!

"A-A-AHHHH-"

RIP!

Yang backed away slowly as she saw the same hand ripping the mad faunus' head off from his own body, her mind going into flight mode at this monster in front of her. 'Shit shit shit shit!'

But as she tried to turn, the world became bathed in purple and like that, silence.

-Amity Colosseum, Atlesian Airship-

SLASH!

"Yah!" Ruby cried out while trying to hit the tiny assassin with Crescent Rose, only to stop and looked very confused. "Wait, didn't I defeat you already? And why isn't Torchwick in a Grimm's belly!?"

"Little Red, I think you just lost your marbles." Roman deadpanned while aiming his weapon at the girl, only to notice another version of him walking down the ship with a glare in his eyes as he hit a different version of Ruby with his cane.

"You wanna be a hero!? Then play the part and die-" he yelled before noticing the other version of himself and stopped his assault on Ruby. "What the fuck!? Ok, what's going on here!?"

Neo looked at the two Romans and two Rubys in absolute confusion before the hairs on the back of her neck began to stand on end, making her quickly turn around in fear.

BOOM!

Only to be turned into a smothering pile of bones by a blast of purple fire, making the doubles panic in shock and terror.

"Neo!" both Torchwicks yelled before the other Ruby exploded into chunks of gore from an apparent internal explosion, purple flames licking the bones and clothing of the now former Huntress.

"Oh gods!" Ruby cried out in horror before seeing something and tried to slash at it, causing a purple clawed arm to land on the metal deck. "Damn it! What's going on!?"

"Like I know Red!" Torchwick yelled while ready to flee for his life. "But as a good scholar wrote, when in doubt, flee!"

As the criminal turned to flee, he was tackled to the ground by the detached limb and slowly ripped part by the immensely strong appendage.

"AH! OH GODS AHHHHH!" he screamed as Ruby used her semblance to quickly flee the other way, her mind no longer wanting to be the hero in this instance, as she felt terror and fear controlling her actions.

But as she attempted to reach the ship's elevator, she was stopped by a low guttural growl from above, making her look up as a beam of purple light enveloped her and the ship.

KABOOM!

-A few miles outside Vale-

"Ow…." Jaune groaned, his body aching a little as the locker was embedded into a three meter crater a few feet away from him. "That hurt…"

BOOOOOOOM!

Jaune jumped back in shock as he turned around and saw a massive firestorm in the distance, right where Vale was supposed to be. "What? What's happening in Vale?" 'Oh gods, Pyrrha!'

As his mind raced to find an explanation for the firestorm and the explosions, he didn't notice that something was right behind him, growling lowly at him.

"Grrrrr."

Quickly the boy turned, his blade now in his right hand as his sheath turned into the emblazoned shield in his left hand, expecting a Grimm to attack him from behind.

Instead, it was something worse.

For floating right in front of the human was a tall deep purple skinned young woman with long flaming dark purple hair that went down her legs and wrapped around her body several times like a tail as a single ringlet adorned the tip like a curved stinger, light purple eyes, thick vein like lines going down her eyes and around the corners of her pointed ears, no visible mouth, a deep purple circlet adorned with four spiraled segmented horns that arc back over her head and curve upward, four purple teardrop shaped gems attached to the tips of the horns with light purple chains, an E cup chest and wide ass, long claw like nails on each digit of her fingers and toes, thick bone-like spines going down her arms, legs, back, and spine, and wearing nothing at all as her body seemed to glow with a purple hue as she seemed to glare at the boy with primal aggression.

"P-P-P-P-" he stuttered out while backing away, falling on his ass as he saw the woman floating closer to him.

The woman's featureless face contorted near the jawline, the sounds of bone and flesh tearing becoming apparent in the boy's ears, before with a single-

CRACK!

The jaw itself unhinged and revealed a set of jagged reptilian teeth as a dark purple energy expelled from its throat and caused the very air to decay from the atomic structure.

"..."

"P-P-P-P-P-" Jaune tried to stutter out, his mind racing as the woman, the one floating towards him with animalistic fury, was familiar to him...dead familiar.

"...Grrrrrr!" she growled before charging towards the blonde, the camera zooming away to show the now destroyed Vale burning to the ground.

"P-PYRRHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!"

CRUNCH!

CRACK!

The flames licked the screen before everything went black.

Bio: In this timeline, the Fall of Beacon went about it's usual downfall up to the death of Pyrrha Nikos. When her death became clean, the anger and hate that she kept under wraps for so long boiled to the surface and unlocked something primeval, that being the God of Darkness' very essence that he gave to humanity, which somehow stayed in the current humanity's DNA despite the Twin God's departure from Remnant. Possibly a seal given to this version of humanity to prevent them from becoming gods. The event of her passing infused with the dark materials of an ancient god transformed the human into the new Goddess of Darkness, but the process left her in a state of feral bloodlust, unable to recall her past or any other high function besides destruction. As such, she went about killing all in her way, including the one she loved, before destroying everything else in Remnant, as well as causing the destruction of time itself from her mere presence. A sad story for a fallen heroine made beast of calamity.
