Orion Paxxon always thought that he was a normal young man, a little optimistic but always realistic, something that confused everyone due to so much evil that
seemed to have happened to him. His parents lived apart and his girlfriend had died in a shooting, but he knew better than to fall into this trap of emotions. His
parents did live apart, but it was because of their jobs and not because of a lack of love, the death of his beloved only inspired him to improve the world, so that no
one else would suffer like him. Inspired by his mentor and his favorite writer, an individual known only as Megan Tarn, he learned to see injustice and help not with
violence, but with actions and words. His friends were always willing to help him and support him when he began to fall due to the weight on his shoulders.
But there were days when he couldn't take it anymore, days so difficult that his smile fell, and his eyes stopped shining. Days like today, his partner had disappeared,
and his best friend was in critical condition in a hospital. On days like this he just wanted to fall into the abyss and never get up, but there was always a light that
motivated him to continue. Many said that this would make him a great leader in the future, but he never had any interest or illusions of greatness, always content to
do his part and follow orders from others.
His life was never easy, he had three jobs and a small apartment where he lived alone, but he was always happy and willing to help anyone in need. The world, still
feeling the scars of war and conflict over the years, made a person like this hard to find, but he never gave up on reaching out to anyone in need. Today he was in the
city archives, helping his mentor Alfred Tryon with some documents that needed to be transported to another part of the city. Alfred always believed that one had to
know everything about the past if they wanted to avoid repeating mistakes in the future. For this reason, it was not uncommon for Orion to spend a lot of time
reading through the archives with him, but today he didn't want to read. His mind wandered with concern for his friends, always thinking of others and never of
himself. This was the reason why Alfred chose him, this and others that were not yet time to know.
Sometimes life has interesting ways of telling you what to do, always waiting for the right moment to let you live. But, sometimes to live you must die first. Orion
didn't even notice until very late, the truck was going straight towards him and the last thing he saw and heard was a light and a word...
"optimus."
