Buttercup Utonium decided she wanted to live independently from her sisters and father when she was 17. She loved her sisters, true, but she felt as though she wanted her life to not just be about fighting monsters and kicking ass with her siblings.

The city of Townsville had also calmed down, some villains were in therapy or recovery from their villainous ways. Some had decided to retire from a life of crime, although still having some spite for the Powerpuff Girls since they were around 10 years old.

The town didn't need the heroes as often and Buttercup released that she should live by herself or without her sisters, her father was still like he was since they were a child. Which felt weird since she was clearly a teenager, and looked it especially.

She had kept her hair short, she preferred to look less girly unlike her sisters. She still enjoyed her color scheme of black and green, and usually wore regular casual clothes that didn't have a gender assigned to them.

She decided to tell the professor of her plan about moving out. He was stunned, a normal reaction, but decided it was best for Buttercup, she always did want to be more independent than the other girls.

She herself told the girls as well, on a not so special day. The girls were quick to object. "What, but how could you leave us!" Bubbles stammered, her eyes beginning to form water. She was still as much of a crybaby as the others. "I'm not gonna leave you, duh. We're still gonna hang out, dude." Buttercup responded to Bubbles comment.

Blossom responded, "How do you know this is what you want, and have you even thought of where you wanted to live!" Blossom looked angrily towards Buttercup, while it was Buttercup's decision on what she wanted to do, her sisters felt differently.

"Well, yeah. The professor already got me some place to live, though I've got to share it with a roommate, apparently. And I have to split rent." Blossom looked shocked, she didn't expect that, and she just told them right NOW?! "What? How come you didn't tell us then!?"

Buttercup responded, "Well duh, I wanted to wait for the right time, obviously." Blossom just stared at Buttercup, "The right time? Ugh, today's just any day! You could've told us when the professor did!" Blossom was slightly irritated with her sister, if she just TOLD her earlier this argument wouldn't be taking place.

Bubbles didn't want to join in anymore than she had, she was especially sensitive to her sister's fighting, so she decided to grab her comfort plush, Octi. She didn't want to hear it either and decided to sit comfortably with her little octopus friend.

"Can't I do what I want?" Buttercup responded to Blossom. "Did you forget about the city of townsville! They still need you!" Blossom twitched her eye.

"Townsville hasn't had crime to fight in a month besides the occasional robber! Plus, I can get an extra phone from the mayor." Buttercup was especially angry, while they had gotten into arguments, she felt this one was bad. She decided to not let it go on further.

"I wanted to tell you today since I've already packed up my stuff to go live with my new roomie, DUH!" Blossom was even more shocked at this revelation. "You could've just TOLD US earlier!" Blossom turned her back towards Buttercup, while both of them knew they were going to make up after this, it was clear that this argument was definitely gonna split them up more if they continued.

Buttercup scratched her head and started to float, her boxes packed up and ready to leave. She was excited, who could this roommate be? She widely grinned while walking out the door, but before she could fly out Professor Utonium stopped her.

"Well? Aren't you going to say goodbye to your dear old dad?" He commented, Buttercup rolled her eyes with a smile, her father was such a dork and he knew it. Buttercup hugged the Professor. "Bye Professor." She waved.

Professor Utonium waved back, at least she got a good exit with him. She had the address written down in the pocket of her leather jacket, she took to her pocket and grabbed the small note she had left in there.

She flew over to the address of the apartment she was apparently going to be living in. She got the key and opened the door. Her roommate was apparently Male and loved the color red, she didn't know who to expect when he was going to come into the apartment, so she decided to start setting her stuff down.

She realized something, there was only one bedroom with a double bed, come on, couldn't the professor get one with a separate bedroom? It was definitely going to be awkward living with whoever it is she's going to live with.

She took out her clothing first, they were going to have to share a closet, apparently. She hung up her T-shirts, Hoodies, Jackets, and Pants. And left enough room for the guy on the other side to put up his clothing.

She almost decided to take out more stuff out of her boxes when she heard the door open, it was her roommate. She decided to turn around when her eyes widened, she knew exactly who it was! Brick Jojo. She should've looked at the signs, male and is obsessed with the color red? She internally facepalmed for not figuring it out sooner.

"Heya, how's it going toots?" She rolled her eyes, she's fought this guy before, but not on a one on one. And now she was supposed to be living with this guy? What a sick joke. She noticed his hair was different, it was still long and spiky as it was before but he had dyed it partially to have a red streak.

"Not good, since you came here." Buttercup felt herself get angry, "Woah there! I ain't gonna do nothing to you, alright? We got an agreement." Buttercup wondered to herself. "An agreement?" she replied.

"Yeah yeah, an agreement not to murder each other, this includes your sissy little sisters and my boys." Buttercup felt herself internally cringe, but he was right. They should agree not to fight, at least to keep peace in where they both lived.

"Fine. But don't try and test anything, bucko." Buttercup looked off towards the side and shook her hand with Brick. This was going to be a long roommatehood.
