It was a rainy night in San Francisco and Angel and Cordelia were unpacking the boxes they had. They had just moved to San Francisco from Sunnydale. It had been a crazy two years since they first started dating. Cordelia had just graduated from high school and Angel had just started fighting for good. A witch cursed him with a soul years ago and it took him a while to get himself together again after all the lives he had taken as Angelus. The witch said she saw that he could be a force for good in this world and was giving him a chance to prove her right. It almost got screwed up when an evil sorcerer took his soul away and he turned back into Angelus. Luckily the witch that cursed him saved his soul and returned it to him. Now he wanted to redeem himself one life at a time. He met Cordelia a couple years back when she was still in high school. They started talking and grew very close. When Angel told her that he was a vampire at first she was freaked out but then she came around.
Cordelia fell in love with the person Angel was now and didn't hold his past against him. She helped Angel see that he is a good man. When the sorcerer had turned him back into Angelus he almost killed Cordelia. That was really hard to deal with. Even through that Cordelia still stayed by his side. She was the love of his life and he wanted to spend the rest of their lives together. He didn't know what he would do if anything happened to her. Angel took a small box out of one of the bigger moving boxes him and Cordelia were unpacking. He opened it up and inside was a beautiful diamond ring. He was going to propose to her soon he just had to find the right time to do it. Their friend Doyle was helping him figure all of that out. Doyle was a very close friend of both Angel and Cordelia. He helped them in their fight to save people. He got visions that told them someone was in trouble. They were a team. They didn't have a name for their team yet but Cordelia says it's important to have a name for their business.
"Angel can you help me with this box" Cordelia called from downstairs snapping Angel out of his thoughts. "I'll be right there" Angel called as he hid the box in a drawer in his desk and went downstairs. When he got down there he saw Cordelia struggling to move a box. "Here I'll get it" Angel said. "Where do you want it" he asked. "In the bedroom" Cordelia said. He walked the box into the bedroom and put it on the floor. It was so easy for him to lift that box. Having superhuman strength would do that Cordelia thought. "So what's in this box anyway" Angel asked. "Clothes that I couldn't fit in my suitcase" Cordelia said. Of course Cordelia Chase would need more than one suitcase to fill all her clothes. She had to use a moving box. Angel smiled at her. "Of course it's clothes. What else would it be" Angel said. Cordelia slapped him on the chest playfully. "They were expensive and I wasn't leaving them in Sunnydale" she said.
Angel smiled at her again and kissed her. "Are you sure you like the place? I mean I know it's not a mansion or anything but I think it's nice" Angel said looking around. Cordelia shook her head. "I like it. Upstairs is our office for our business which we still have to name by the way and down here is where we can be alone just the two of us in this bedroom" she said kissing his neck. "I like the sound of that" Angel said as Cordelia kissed him passionately. Before they could continue though Doyle came running in. "Guys we have a problem" Doyle said as he realized he was interrupting them. They broke apart and looked at Doyle. "Sorry for interrupting but I just had a vision. Another woman is going to be killed tonight" Doyle said. "No she's not. What's the address" Angel asked. Doyle gave Angel the address and Angel grabbed his coat. "I'll be back" Angel said going out to save the woman. Cordelia looked at Doyle. "You can help me unpack" she said as she handed him a box.
Angel drove to the woman's apartment. He was determined to save this one. He had missed the last two murders. The murder kept getting away. It was obvious to Angel Cordelia and Doyle that these women were witches. Angel figured it was some low level warlock who was killing these witches to steal their powers. He had met a couple in his day and they were all the same. All just looking for a witch to kill to steal her powers. Angel was going to put a stop to it. He just had to get to these murders on time. He arrived at the woman Serena Fredrick's apartment. When he got to her room her door was opened and he was able to walk inside. That was never a good sign when he could walk into an apartment without being invited in. Angel knew what he would find when he walked in. Laying there on the floor was her dead body. She had been stabbed. He was to late and by the smell of the blood a couple minutes late.
On the other side of San Francisco Piper Halliwell had just come home. She hung her umbrella up on the hook and put the bags on the floor. "Prue" Piper called. "In here with Andy" Prue called from the other room. Piper took her coat off and hung it on the hook. She picked up one of the bags and walked into the room where Prue and Andy were. "Sorry I'm late" Piper said as she noticed Andy on the ladder fixing the chandelier. "Hey Andy" Piper said. "Hey Piper" Andy said back. Prue glared at her sister. "You know Piper I would have been here to meet the electrician myself but you know I can't leave the museum until six. I didn't even have time to change. Luckily Andy was here today anyway" Prue said. Just then the chandelier turned on. Prue smiled at Andy as he came down from the ladder. "Good job baby" she said kissing him. "It wasn't that hard. I think I got it. I mean I'm no handyman but it should be good" Andy said.
Prue and Andy were engaged. They had been for the last 3 months but they could not decide on a date for the wedding. It had really been a heated debate. Andy wanted to do it as soon as possible and Prue wanted to wait. They just couldn't come to any sort of agreement. "Prue did Jeremy call" Piper asked her sister. "No but he had some roses and a package delivered" Prue said. Andy rolled his eyes. He didn't like Jeremy but only put up with him for Piper's sake. Something felt off about him. Andy looked at the bag Piper was holding. "What were you doing in Chinatown" he asked. "Yea I thought you had an interview at north beach" Prue said as they walked into the next room. "I did but I went to Yang Lee market after my interview to get ingredients for my audition recipe tomorrow" Piper said. Piper looked at the roses and smiled. "Wait a minute that chef guy didn't hire you yet? I thought you got the job" Andy said.
Piper sighed and opened the package Jeremy sent. "No but this may just get me the job" Piper said pulling out a bottle of wine. "Jeremy sent you port" Prue said taking the bottle from Piper. "The ultimate ingredient for my recipe" Piper said. "Nice boyfriend" Prue said smiling at Piper and looking at the bottle. "Yea real nice" Andy said under his breath. Piper and Prue turned to look at him. He sighed and held his hands up. "Sorry but you guys know I don't like him" Andy said. Piper rolled her eyes and looked on the table. "Oh my god. I don't believe it tell me that's not our old spirit board" Piper said walking over to it. "Yea I found it in the basement while I was cleaning. I didn't know what to do with it" Andy said. Piper picked it up and turned it around and read what it said on the back. "To my three beautiful girls may this give you the light to find the shadows the power of three will set you free Love mom" Piper read.
"We never did figure out what this inscription meant" Piper said. "Well maybe we should send it to Phoebe that girl is so in the dark maybe a little light will help" Prue said walking into the other room. "You're always so hard on her" Piper said putting the spirit board down on the table. Prue turned around. "Piper the girl has no vision no sense of the future" she said. "I really think Phoebe's coming around" Piper said. "Well it's not like it matters. I mean she lives in New York so she won't be around here and we don't have to watch world war 3 start with Prue and Phoebe" Andy said. Prue rolled her eyes. "Yea well as long as she doesn't come around here I guess it's good news" Prue said walking away. Piper just stood there awkwardly. She still hadn't told Prue and Andy that Phoebe was moving back home. "I can take that bag for you Piper" Andy offered. Piper smiled at him. "No it's fine I got it. Thank you though" Piper said walking into the kitchen. Just then Andy's cell phone rang and he went in the other room to answer it. Once everyone was out of the room the pointer on the spirit board started moving.
When Andy came back in the room 5 minutes later after his phone call he noticed that the pointer had moved. Andy looked at the spirit board. It wasn't possible but he could have sworn it was on the end of the board and now it was on the letter A. "So I was thinking we could watch a movie tonight or something since we can't go out anywhere with this rain" Prue said coming back into the room snapping Andy out of his thoughts of the spirit board. Andy smiled sadly at Prue. "That was my job. There was just a murder. I have to go in tonight. I'm sorry" he said. Prue frowned. "It's supposed to be your night off" Prue said. Andy pulled close to him. "I know I'm sorry but I'm off tomorrow so once you get home from work we will have the rest of the day together" he said kissing her. Prue smiled at him and he smiled back then went upstairs to shower and get dressed for work. He said goodbye to Piper gave Prue one last kiss and left forgetting all about what happened with the spirit board.
