There it was. Still pink, but for the first time felt like home, where she belonged. The fairy of the Moon walked through the gate and was immediately embraced by the love of her life.

"I'm sorry you weren't welcome at Stella's ball." Palladium said.

"It's okay, I decided to leave myself." Samara said. "One look of those noblemen and I knew enough, I am currently the most unpopular princess in the entire universe." "I don't want to ruin Stella's ball by making everyone uncomfortable."

"I doubt she thought the same." Palladium said as they started walking towards the school, hand in hand.

"Oh you should have heard her, she was livid, but finally she understood that it was for the best."

"And for the record…"

The elf swooped his fairy into his arms and gave her a deep kiss.

"You are the most popular princess in the entire universe for me."

Samara giggled. "I'd better be."

Her eyes scanned the hall as they entered the school.

"Are we the only ones here?"

"Yes, I don't expect anyone here for another three weeks." Palladium said. "Professor Avalon will arrive a few weeks before the start of the schoolyear to get known to the school."

Samara smiled. "So that means we could…"

Palladiums eyes twinkeld. "Yes…"

The fairy of the Moon started running up the giant stairs.

"First one there gets the good armchair!"

Palladium chased her all the way to the library to find Samara already searching through the long corridors.

"Anything in particulair you're looking for miss?" He asked in a spot on interpetation of Barbatea.

Samara started to laugh out loud. Palladium walked a few corridors further and picked a book for himself. By the time he was done Samara was already seated in the couch next to the armchair.

"I thought you wanted to sit over there?" The elf asked gesturing towards the chair.

"I was just joking." Samara said. "You can sit there."

She started to read her book but after a few sentences let out a yelp as she was picked up. Palladium sat down on the couch himself and nesteled Samara on top of him.

"Is this okay?" He asked, a hint of nervousness in his voice.

"More than okay." Samara said as she scooted a bit closer against his chest.

They fell into a comfortable silence, only the sound of a page turning to be heard for a long time.

Samara started to yawn and noticed she could not really focus on the words anymore.

"I think I'm off to bed." She said.

She sat up and turned around to face her handsome elf. Oh how she loved those eyes.

"See you tomorrow at breakfast?" She asked.

"Yes of course." Palladium said.

The fairy leaned closer and they kissed. She stood up and marked the page of her book before leaving the library. After a few meters she stopped and walked back.

"It's not that I…wouldn't want to stay with you for the night but…" She said standing awkwardly in the doorway.

"Oh no I completely agree, it's just too early." Palladium said feeling his ears turn warm.

"Yeah…" Samara laughed nervously.

"Goodnight my love." Palladium said.

"Goodnight."

Samara turned around again, feeling her face glow and butterflies fly around in her stomach. She made her way to her dorm and into her shared bedroom. Everything was exactly as she left it behind. The curtains were open and the moonlight shined upon her bed as she dove underneath the covers. She fell asleep with a smile on her face.
