I groaned as I opened my eyes, and almost instantly frowned at the darkness that surrounded me.
"Where the hell am I?"
You are in the space between worlds, the Void
I blinked as the voice spoke
Oh, that makes sense, kay morgan freeman.
I continued to float around in the void for a moment before I realised something
Wait…
"Who the heck said that?! And why do you sound like Morgan Freeman?!"
I am an entity you would call the Gamers Mind, I am here to assist you in your adventure
My confusion continued to grow, the last thing I remembered was…
Flashes of light, fire, and screeching metal shot through my head accompanied by a piercing headache
"Gahh!"
I kneeled over holding my head as I gritted my teeth, after a moment, the pain subsided.
"I died…" I muttered, realisation dawning upon me.
That is indeed what occurred, but that was then, and this is now.
Straightening myself I asked, a glimmer of curiosity and hope inside me.
"What happens now? Because every time I've heard of the Gamers Mind…"
Indeed, you are being reborn in another world of your choosing. You will control all that you do and can change that world for better or worse. But first I believe you should gain your Perks, and choose your starting skills.

Yes, you are, but please hold your excitement.
You must choose a minimum of 1 skill per category. The skills you select will be your starting skills, and you will be able to learn the other skills further down the road.
You may choose up to 2 skills in the Melee and Magic Categories, however, if you select the Rare skill, then you will be unable to choose another skill from that category.
Choose Wisely

I blinked, looking at the words in front of me.
Due to your past experiences, you already have the Martial Arts Mastery Skill, so instead you will gain a passive in which you gain an increased amount of experience when using Martial Arts should you choose it.
Well, that makes everything harder.
I frowned and thought through the options, I already had one skill that I was going to choose but what else?
After a while, I opened my eyes and chose.
- Mastery Skill Evolved -
Martial Arts Mastery Evolved
LVL: 40/100
Your Skill in Hand to Hand and Martial Art Combat is that of an Elite who has trained for a decade.
Increases bare-handed damage by 10%
Passively gain an extra 10% XP from using this skill
Damn, I guess all those years of Karate paid off in the end. Now for my second skill.
I looked at each of the skills, a sword would be well-rounded and simple, a scythe would be cool, but a spear. That would likely extend to staff as well, maybe even halberds.
- Mastery Skill Gained -
Spear Mastery
LVL: 1/100
Your Skill in Spears, Staffs and Halberds is that of a novice.
Increased damage with Spears, Staffs and Halberds by 1%
Sweet I was right.
The Melee skills vanished, and I turned to the Magic category, I didn't even hesitate this time.
- Mastery Skill Gained -
Lightning Mastery
LVL: 1/100
You Skill in lightning Magic is that of a Novice
Increased Lightning damage by 1%
- Skill Gained -
Lightning Bolt
LVL: 1/10
Shoots a Lightning Bolt that deals 100 lightning damage
Costs 40 MP
I blinked, that's a lot more damage than most people get when starting their journeys.
Rightfully so, Lightning Magic is a rare and difficult skill to master and deals large amounts of damage in single quick strikes.
Now for Armor, In Skyrim, I would wear a mix of both heavy and light armour, but I can only choose one option.
On the other hand, it would be much easier to find a shield than armour, but it means that my armour would be weaker…
Oh, screw it.
- Mastery Skill Gained -
Light Armor Mastery
LVL: 1/100
Your Skill In light-armour is that of a Novice
Increases Light-armour effectiveness by 1%
And finally, Production.
I scratched my head, "What the heck am I meant to choose? I can only guess that this means I need to earn my own income, but what would be the best for that?"
I thought for a moment, looking over my options before deciding.
- Mastery Skill Gained -
Enchanter
LVL: 1/100
Your Skill in enchanting is that of a Novice
Increases Enchantments by 1%
Good, now you choose your species.
Human
?
I frowned as I looked at the two options, "What are the question marks?"
A random Species, choosing it will provide multiple risks, do you choose it?
No, but I don't want to be a human either…
You can be a human and change your species later on if you wish to.
Yeah, I'll do that instead, who knows, I might get an OP species later on.
Human - Unstable
A Normal Human with the ability to change species at a later date.
I winced as I looked at my species, it wasn't that I regretted my choice, but for all, I know the other species could've been a Saiyan or something. I just hope I get an OP species later on.
One more thing before you choose your starter realm, you have the choice to gain 3 perks for a single flaw that will affect you for a long time. However, depending on opinion this Flaw may be a blessing as well.
Do you want to risk it?
I frowned, sighing before saying, "Yeah, one flaw shouldn't be that bad."
- Perks Gained -
Blessing of the Thunder God
Lightning Spells deal x2 damage and cost 50% less
While in a thunderstorm lightning spells deal 4x damage and cost 80% less
Earth magic deals 50% more damage

- Skill Gained -
Hellblaze

?
?
- Flaw Gained -
Battle Maniac
You live to fight, and the Thrill of battle consumes you no matter who you fight.
Darkness?! Heck yeah!
I was smiling like a maniac as I looked at the Darkness Skill.
"With Darkness on my side, I'll be able to regenerate basically anything! Reattach limbs, and heal fatal wounds. I'll be practically invincible!"
You don't seem to care about your flaw
I shrugged, "Battle Maniac means I'll fight more, so as long as I don't get over my head it's a perk honestly."
Now you choose which realm you head to.
I held up my hand, "Option 4"
What?
"I want it to be a surprise, so as long as I can grow strong enough to survive the world, I don't want to know what it is."
You may come to regret this.
I shrugged, "I don't really mind if I do. I want the adventure to begin!"
Oh, very well…
You will be reincarnated in 5…
Can't wait!
4…
3…
Wait, why is the last transformation for Darkness blocked? I know I should remember it but I can't…
2…
1…
My eyes shot open as I gasped for air, sitting up I panted for a while, before looking around, to an unfamiliar landscape.
"Where am I?"
I wandered around for a while, trying to figure out where I was, but to no avail.
Sighing I thought to myself for a moment, before deciding to look at my stats.
"Status"
Name: Hunter
Age: 17
Race: Human (Demonic Abilities)
Alignment: Neutral Good
Level: 1 (0%)
HP: 100
MP: 100
AP: -Locked-
STR: 60
VIT: 10
DEX: 40
INT: 50
WIS: 10
CHA: 30
LUK: 10
Points: 0
HP = VIT x 10
HP Regen = VITx5
MP = INT x 10
MP Regen = WISx5
AP = 250 AP per level
AP Regen = 10% of AP
I tilted my head as I looked at my stats, "Don't really feel all that safe. But what's AP? And why's it locked?"
And my name, I'm pretty sure I had a last name. But why don't I have one now?
I looked around my Stats vanishing.
"Hey uhh, game or divine gods or something. Can you give me a weapon I don't feel safe right now"
Iron Spear added to inventory
"Gee, thanks"
Reaching into my inventory I brought out my Iron Spear. It was around 7 feet long and was taller than I was, strangely enough, it was completely made of Iron, with no signs of wood anywhere on its long body.
'Must be because of my Lightning magic.'
Iron Spear
30 Damage x STR x 1.2 physical damage
So a total of 102 damage, damn.
Speaking of my lightning magic…
"With Blessing of the Thunder God and 100 MP, I should be able to use Lightning Bolt 5 times, and deal a total of 1000 damage, 10x my own HP. That's a lot"
Continuing forward, I looked around searching for any signs of life or anything that could provide me with information as to which realm I was in.
I froze when I heard snapping twigs behind me, spinning around I held my spear in a ready position, and my eyes narrowed when I saw a pair of glowing red eyes in front of me.
Realizing it had been spotted, the beast let loose a growl, before leaping at me.
Jumping to the side I stabbed the beast in its side with my spear, before quickly jumping back.
Recognizing the black skin, white skull, and red eyes of the beast I sighed in slight relief.
"The world of RWBY, that's a relief."
Observe
Young Beowulf
Level: 5
HP: 398/500
I blinked at the display, before smiling evilly and pointing my spear towards the beast. Rushing forward, I stabbed it again, and narrowly avoided a swipe from the Grimm, with a yell, I tossed the spear into the Grimms side, "Ka-chow bitch" I said before shooting a torrent of electricity at it, vaporizing it.
+25 EXP
I shrugged, "Huh, not bad."
But as soon as I spoke, two more Beowulfs leaped at me.
+50 EXP
I whistled merrily to myself as I walked away from the smoldering ashes of the Beowulfs.
RWBY, or Remnant a world where creatures of Darkness called the Grimm battle against humanity. Not the worst place to spawn in, I was kinda worried I'd spawn in Diablo or Doom or something. RWBY is practically the best starting point for me.
But even RWBY had its dangers, and I couldn't be careless.
My first order of business should be figuring out when I am in the timeline. Hopefully not at the latest point of cannon.
Preferably I would start before Cannon began, that way I could save Amber from Cinder and throw a wrench in that wrenches plans, although I wouldn't have a clue how to do that.
- New Quest -
Stop that Maiden!
Objective: Save Amber from Cinder and her Allies
Rewards: 1 Gacha Token, 1000 credits, 5 random stat crystals, Greatly increased reputation with Amber, Increase reputation with Ozpins Alliance.
Time Limit: 8 Days, 4 hours, 12 minutes.
I blinked as the words appeared in front of me.
So I could save Amber, the problem is I had no idea where she would be, or where I was for that matter.
But as I glanced to my left, I spotted a gravestone, and on it the words Summer Rose.
"Damn, I couldn't save Summer. And Unlike Raven, I'm pretty sure she's actually dead"
I'm pretty sure Summer was buried on an island called patch. So it'll be difficult to leave.
I slapped my forehead, "I have darkness!" I said as I summoned pitch black energy wings from my back. Looking back at them I smiled and wiggled them, "That fixes that problem. But I should probably level up a bit first. Don't want to die in my first battle."
I glanced back at the forest behind me, a villainous grin already growing on my face, "Let the Carnage begin"
3 Days later…
Name: Hunter
Age: 17
Race: Human (Demonic Abilities)
Alignment: Neutral Good
Level: 36
HP: 460 ( 230 Regen per minute)
MP: 860 ( 230 Regen per Minute)
AP: -Locked-
STR: 96
VIT: 46
DEX: 76
INT: 86
WIS: 46
CHA: 66
LUK: 46
Points: 180
I cracked my neck as I killed yet another Ursa.
I'd spent the last 3 days leveling up and had learned several things.
1st: When I level up, I get 1 Basepoint for each of my stats, and 5 extra points to spend on whatever I want.
2nd: Once a stat reaches 50, I don't get perks anymore, at least not as much.
3rd: I don't need to eat, sleep or drink nearly as much, sure I get hungry, but it's much more manageable, all I'd had to eat so far was an apple a day.
4th: Darkness is OP as hell, but it's got its flaws. With each Level I attained, I could safely handle another percentage of Darkness, so I could use up to 36% of my darkness at the moment with no downsides, but any further and I start taking damage. Come 50% I start to take dump trucks of damage and lose control of my emotions as well, and it hurts like hell.
I sighed as I returned my spear to my inventory, I had around 5 days left to find Amber.
Better get searching, from what I knew she was in vale when she was attacked.
Should probably start my search there…
A normal person would go to the docks and get a ticket to vale…
But…
I grinned as I summoned my demonic wings and took off into the air.
I'm not a normal person.
